a lot has been said about the variety of Ryoko Kui’s character designs but what i find really interesting is how she seems to actively challenge herself to make each character in Dungeon Meshi visually distinct and recognizable, dedicating a lot of Daydream Hour to stuff like drawing the cast with different clothes and hairstyles, not to mention how the “Dumplings” and “Shapeshifter” stories are basically multichapter exercises in character design

I really despise the Marvelification of Stranger Things, because all the interviews nowadays are constantly referencing how fast paced and epic and big the finale will be but the reason people fell in love with the show wasn't special effects or long episodes; it was the plot, it was the characters, it was the mystery. Stranger Things 1 may have been a story about a government conspiracy and a monster, but that's not why we stuck around. The show can throw amazing CGI, Russians, a battle within the American army and an apocalypse at the audience with the biggest budget known to man but if they forget to ground it and keep it central, it'll just get lost amongst a plethora of other "epic" blockbusters. We want Steven King, not Avengers.

We as a fandom need to start a movement to reclassify G’raha Tia as a dad friend. I feel like we forget that he’s a dad. Twink Catboy nature is visually misleading, that man raised a whole ass child and he did a good job. The sandwiches is such a dad friend thing to do. I adore the idea of Leo developing a love for glam rock not only because he likes the music but also because of how many glam rock bands had vibrant and extravagant eye makeup - looks that his own red stripes were right at home with.

I feel like in the chaos of things they kinda glossed over possibly the most viscerally horrifying scene and concept in the show, ie; “…where did all the blood go?” “that was the last me,” and charles slowly lifting his lantern up to see the doll spider literally tearing edwin– not just a replica of edwin but literally the body of edwin from just a minute or two earlier– apart limb from limb, torn in half at the waist. then as he moves the lantern a bit to the side he’s met with an entire bloody pile of dismembered, decapitated, eviscerated edwin parts, from god knows how many killings.

like. charles must have persistent fucking nightmares about that right? in the moment he was focused on getting out of there and had to stomach it to move on, but afterwards? i think that must legitimately be the most gruesome, graphic thing he’s ever seen in his entire life/afterlife. i can’t think of anything that could be worse than that. it’s bad enough on it’s own, the live, constant mutilation happening to anyone, but then on top of it all it’s not just anyone– it’s his best friend, the most important person in the world to him.

ghosts can’t exactly sleep, but he must at least get flashbacks, or be triggered on occasion to an extent that makes him feel sick. i dont even know what that'd do to a person honestly, but it'd be hard (if not impossible) even for a pro-internalizer like charles to suppress that memory completely and not be tortured by it for an indefinite amount of time.

NPCs' body proportion values are stored in their HeadPreset files. The numbers in these files likely represent the proportions in regard to a character's race/body type in the Character Creation (providing that idea is correct, Bellara's height of 0.8 would mean she's an elf of the female body type with the height slider set to 80%).

Here are the companions' height values for reference:

I'm only just now looking at Batman and Robin: Year One, and right off the bat, I noticed Waid has already made a connection to his writing from Batman vs. Robin #3.

In Batman vs. Robin, Dick, while under a possession that made him air his deepest grievances, berated Bruce for taking him away from the joy and recognition he got as a performer in the circus, and instead of getting to continue that experience, Dick Grayson was hidden behind a mask.
