Changed Times, Old-Fashioned Love
(a masterlist, 233k words)
Tumblr media
After SHIELD falls and the disaster HYDRA leaves in its wake, you, a reformed STRIKE agent, decide to make amends and help Bucky in his recovery by offering him friendship and a semblance of normalcy at the Avengers Tower. It lasts a while, both you and Bucky officially join the team and when Ultron is created with the intent to destroy you, you are forced to lay low at Clint’s house. There, the match is struck between you and Bucky. Something awakens within you, something you had pushed in the far corner of your mind as it also stirs low within Bucky, something he thought was impossible after living an insufferable long life. And yet, you happen to him when he least excepts it. The series follows the events of the MCU’s storyline with some modifications along the way. This is a tale of love and loss. Who says being happy is a simple task? Having what you want requires sacrifices, blood and tears, but you would do it all again because there’s nothing that could ever be in yours and Bucky’s way no matter big or small the threat.
• Part.1: Show Me Your Love (Before The World Catches Up)
After the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Bucky takes the time to remember and to heal by Steve's side instead of disappearing. Later, he joins the Avengers. You are also part of the team and after a mission has gone awry, Ultron still in the wind, the team is forced to lay low at Clint's house. There, you discover a different Bucky, he is more open, less intimidating and you don't know who decided to let their guards down first.
• Part.2: Raise Me High And I'll Make You Fly
True to your last conversation at Clint's house, Bucky and you have decided to move on from your life as Avengers to build a peaceful, quiet life together. You even get to adopt a cheeky white cat that seems to only have eyes for Bucky.
After a year of living in the European countryside, everything falls apart when Steve shows up loaded with bad news.
The start of a chaotic journey to prove both yours and Bucky's innocence shatters some friendships along the way. But Bucky and you are stronger together and you won't let anyone interfering between the two of you, whatever the cost may be.
• Part.3: Your Name Tastes Like Ashes On My Lips
Accepting T'Challa's offer, you get a second chance at a peaceful life with Bucky. Wakanda treats you nicely; you get a place to yourselves, a farm... and goats. Bucky, Alpine and you readjust to a normal life as you witness Bucky having to learn how to be himself again minus his left arm. This particular inconvenience will spice things up in some terrible yet hilarious ways on the daily.
Picking up where you left off with your relationship with Bucky, you see it grow and new exciting things will bloom between the two of you as months pass.
But the Earth now left unsupervised and defenseless since the disaster of the Sokovia Accords, The Avengers scattered around the globe, the inevitable threat of a stronger opponent will make its appearance. And maybe this time, there will be no endings where any of you come out on top.
• Part.4: Light Years Away
With Bucky gone, you learn how to live on your own again and how to navigate the different stages of grief. Five years is a long time but you never once stopped loving him.
• Part.5: Something Blue
Some stories lie in the crevices of what’s dwelling dormant between good and bad. This grey area where neutrality takes place. Some wrong decisions made by good people. Some right decisions made by bad people.
It can be all subjective and life did have a tendency to kick you while you were already down, after all. Where do you go from there, do you keep going or do you give up? It’s how you face those challenges that defines who you are. So what happens when a life-changing decision is taken for you and rocks your world, reshapes who you are at your core and those around you?
How hard you wished to spiral into control just for once but whoever was playing chess with yours and Bucky’s life was definitely bad at this game.

Kill Him, Love Me Part One: The Message
Horror story involving Steve and the other Avengers with a male reader (Request).
Tumblr media
AN: Woaw, my very first request, hope you enjoy. This is only part one, but I hope it sets up the style of the story fairly well!! This will probably be the last time I upload this series for a while, as I will only have access to my phone for two weeks, but feel free to request headcannons, and I can probably do those.
Synopsis: You and Steve have a perfect life, until you receive letters from someone telling you to break up with Steve or else the rest of the Avengers will suffer.
TW: I wasn't sure how gory you wanted it, so I did a basic description of a gunshot wound, the next parts will probably be gorier, but we're starting off light.
WC: 1.7k
Tumblr media
You loved Steve, and he loved you; that much was obvious. He was always telling you, but more than that, you could see it. The way his eyes lit up when he noticed you in a room, the contented sighs that he would let out when he was kissing you or holding you, and the acts of service he did. You had been together for three years, the best three years of your life. Your relationship with Steve was perfect until it wasn't.
It was early morning, you were lying on your bed, just boxers and a tank top on, with Steve next to you. He was reading a book, and you were scrolling on your phone. It was peaceful, the sun was shining just right, so Steve's already golden hair seemed to glow. You look at him with a contented sigh before looking back at your phone. After mindlessly scrolling for a few moments, you get a call. There is no caller ID, so you hang up, you ignore it, spam calls happen to everyone. Then you get a text Don’t ignore me bitch, pick up the phone. It's the same number as before. Your breath hitches in your throat; this has to be more than a spam call. The phone rings again, this time you get up and walk to the bathroom, closing the door before you pick up. The caller on the other side breaths heavily before speaking, “You don’t deserve this life…you don't deserve him.” You frown. The voice sounds female, so an obsessed fan, maybe. It wouldn't be surprising as your and Steve's relationship wasn't exactly private, and despite it being the 21st century, homophobes still exist. “Who is this?” You ask, frowning as you try in vain to recognize the number. *beep* The line goes dead, weird, but not enough to bother you. You exit the bathroom to see Steve's concerned face.
“You okay? You left suddenly…” He says, trailing off, looking you over as if he could magically determine what was wrong. “Yeah ‘m fine…” You say, looking at him with a sheepish smile, “Just a call from a weird fan, you know how it is”. He did know how it was; being America's golden boy had its perks, but people often took it too far. Telling him that they won't tell if he cheated on you, sending obscene letters detailing what they would do to him given the chance, mostly he just threw out the mail and ignored the texts, reassuring you with a kiss that he loved you.
The two of you were now sitting in the kitchen, a cup of coffee in front of both of you while eating breakfast, eggs, with toast. You were making pleasant conversation with Steve, recounting a weird dream he had about being attacked by geese, when suddenly the doorbell rang. You assumed it was a package, but before you could get up to grab it, Steve was already on the way. You waited for him to return, taking lazy sips from your coffee cup. He returns with a letter, “it's for you babe,” he says placing the envelope in front of you with a kiss to your temple, you smile as you open the envelope, it had no return address or sender, a plain white envelope with your name on it Y/N, it felt wrong. You scanned over the words, your stomach dropping as you read the short message: One letter, one call, one chance to end it all. Break up with what you do not deserve, or else. You clench the letter, slightly wrinkling the paper in your fist. “What does it say…” Steve asked gently, reaching for the letter. You handed it over to him, “It's from the same person as before…” you say. Normally, these didn't affect you, but this one, it felt so malicious, you honestly felt scared.
“This is disturbing…” he says, narrowing his eyes at the letter. “How did they get our address, and why would they want you to leave me?” he continues. It was almost cute how oblivious he was. Why wouldn't they want you to break up with him? He was so out of your league it was laughable, but instead you just said “I don’t know” and brought your dishes to the sink. “Try not to think about it” He said wrapping his arms around your waist as you stood at the sink.” I love you, my amazing, handsome, perfect boyfriend. Nothing is ever going to change that,” he kisses the top of your head as you lean back into him, smiling. “Let's get ready for work, it's getting late.” He says, looking at his watch over your shoulder. He takes his hand, guiding you to the bedroom.
You arrive at the Avengers Tower. You both worked there; you were an Avenger, but you worked in the background. You mainly did stealth missions where you went undercover to gain intel, your face wasn't well known in the public, which was fine by you, you didn't want the attention anyway. The two of you headed to the mission briefing room. Fury, as well as the others, were sitting in their regular chairs. Tony and Clint were bickering about something stupid. Natasha watched on with thinly veiled annoyance. Thor was attempting to look serious, which failed when he noticed you and Steve come in, and Bucky was watching the two of you, a slight smile on his face. “Brother Steve and Brother Y/N, you have arrived!" Thor's voice boomed, the noise signaling to Tony and Clint to quiet down. “Welcome, take a seat,” Fury said coolly. The two of you sat down in your respective seats, you next to Clint, and Steve next to Bucky. Your back was to the window, and you were across from Tony. “Now, you all know, why we’re we are here to discuss the next mission…” Fury began to drone on about what was going to happen and to whom. You honestly didn't know why the team did this, I mean, you all got a digital copy of the mission brief anyway.
You pretend to focus, nodding along with the rest of the team, when suddenly, a dot. Right in the middle of Tony's forehead, your eyes narrowed, he noticed and opened his mouth to speak “what do I have something on my fa-” His teasing words were cut off when a bullet pierced his skull, the blood splattered getting onto the faces of Natasha and Bruce next to him. “Oh God.” You say covering your mouth. Nobody screamed, but the reaction was instantaneous. Fury called the emergency protocol with the tower shutting down. The curtains, now replaced with metal, covered the window. Tony's corpse slumped in his chair, his eyes were open, the ghost of his last words, directed at you, on his lips. The bullet hole was clean, and the pink, red, and white of his skull and brains greeted you. You had seen it all before, but this was different. Tony was a dear friend, you felt the bile rising, this wasn't the same as a nameless agent you needed to take out, this felt solid, the loss ripping through your chest instantly. You didn’t cry, but your whole body shuddered, like you had been shot instead. The rest of the team fared no better, Natasha attempting to calm Bruce, as he was looking a little green, Fury barking orders into the phone, no doubt trying to handle this. Thor and Bucky were looking at you; however, Steve had come to your side, attempting to say something to you. Your ears were ringing, the words drowned out by high-pitched buzzing.
You felt your phone vibrate in your pocket, and your heart dropped. You pull it out, your hands shaking, and it takes several attempts to unlock it. You read the message One down, five to go, are you going to make me kill you all to get what I want. You know what you need to do; you can stop it now, don’t play dumb. You swallow down the puke threatening to flood the table, you silently hand the phone to Steve, watching his face pale and his expression drop. The remaining team, including Fury, looks at the message, then at each other, and finally at you and Steve. “We are so fucked…” You mutter, attempting to avoid the dead gaze of Tony as you look around. His eyes, once full of life, were starting to cloud over. Then the guilt. It was your fault; you considered breaking up with Steve on the spot, texting back and telling whoever was doing this to stop, that they had done enough damage. He rested his hand on your shoulder, however, “don't look at him, look at me,” he muttered, “we will get through this”. you didn't feel better, but you did feel a little safer. Fury’s men arrived carrying Tony out of the room, a solemn moment. The fear of the team was palpable in the room.  “Now.” Fury said, “We all need to sit tight and not do anything stupid.” You frowned deeply after hearing the plan. You were all going to sit here like sitting ducks and wait for this killer to attempt again, then track them down based on the texts and calls they seemed to send. The team argued, clearly this was a professional, and no one was too keen on sitting around. You got another text Tic toc bitch, times running out, you curse under your breath placing the phone on the table, then a call. The room falls silent, tension clear, you hesitate to answer, so Clint, frustrated, does it for you. “Dumb bitch doesn't want to quit while he's ahead, so let's dance bitch, see you soon Stevie, you'll love me even if I'm covered in the blood of your teammates.” the voice pauses seemingly realizing something “And Y/N don't forget, this is all your fault, I’m going to have fun killing you last, see you soon!” The voice hung up, your thoughts were racing, who next, why me, should I just give up? You did know what to do, and you felt utterly trapped.

Warnings: alcohol use, profanity, Cassandra Stark (she's a valid warning tbh)
It was either my downfall or my saving grace standing in front of me. But he hadn’t said anything yet, so I wasn’t sure which.
“Will you put a Stephen Sanchez quote on my tombstone?” Avery asked me.
“Only if you put a Taylor Swift one on mine.”
I internally scolded myself. Bad time to pick a shirt that says 'eat your girl out or I will'. Dumbass.
Bucky zeroed in on where we were sitting and I suddenly felt like we were being hunted. But his eyes were only on me. I grew warm under his stare and I knew what it meant. I was the one in trouble here.
“What are you guys doing?” he asked, his hands balled into fists at his sides. His hair was a little messy, probably from an attempt at sleep, and the black sweats and red long sleeve told me he wasn’t planning on being out tonight.
“Hey,” I said as casually as I could. “Um… Pizza break?”
“Do you have any idea what time it is?”
I rolled my eyes and Avery cut in. “We just wanted to get out of the house!”
“You stay out of this right now. You’re lucky if I don’t tell your dad about your little adventure.”
She got very quiet.
“Thanks,” I said to her. “How did you know we were here?”
“I tracked her phone,” Bucky said.
“Okay, stalker.”
Bad joke. The look on his face told me that was a very bad joke. “What if you were in trouble? Do you even have a weapon on you?”
Sighing, I folded my arms. “Yes.”
“Really?” Disbelief sat in his tone.
“No, but I normally do! Just not tonight. We just came out for some food.”
A storm brewed behind those eyes. That stare had me shifting in my seat. “Up. Both of you. We’re going home.”
That was the most awkward fifteen minute walk of my life. None of us said anything to each other until we walked back into the main house level. Avery stopped only a few feet into the living room. “Are you gonna tell my dad?” she asked.
Bucky glanced at me for some reason before answering her. “I… I don’t know. Are you drunk?”
“She doesn’t drink when we go out,” I said, stepping in front of her. “She doesn’t do anything. Half the time she doesn’t even talk to anyone. It’s my fault, okay?”
“I didn’t ask you, Cass.”
Anger burned in my chest. I stared at him, unyielding. He could tell on me all he wanted. Hell, he could call me an alcoholic or something and I’d laugh, but there was no room here to make Avery feel bad about herself when it was my fault we were out in the first place.
“Avery, go to bed,” Bucky said.
“But—” She started.
“Go to bed, kid.” He didn’t look away from me once.
I glanced at her as she squeezed my hand and walked down the hall. Neither of us spoke until I heard her door shut. “She doesn’t deserve that.”
“Then why was she out with you?”
“Doesn’t matter. She didn’t do anything wrong. You want to get someone busted for drinking, pick on me.”
“You are taking advantage of the fact that your father doesn’t care enough.” he stepped closer and it took all of me not to back up.
“What is that supposed to mean?” I challenged.
He hesitated then and I couldn’t ignore the small grin on my lips.
“Gotcha.” I turned around, walking into the kitchen to set down my phone.
“That’s not what I meant.” He braced his hands on the counter, leaning forward as I poured myself a glass of water. I was halfway ignoring him. I knew how to sit through a lecture. “Cass.” I continued about the kitchen, pulling my hair down from the ponytail I’d tied it up in when Avery and I were eating. “Cassandra.”
It was an effort not to smile at him resorting to using my full name.
Without a warning, he rounded the counter and grabbed my wrist to stop me in my tracks. “Look at me,” he said quietly.
I sucked in a breath, my heart immediately racing against my chest. For a moment I just stared up at him, trying to decipher why the hell my heart was beating so fast. I wasn’t scared of him. I’d never been scared of him. He might be acting weird, yeah, but Bucky would never hurt me. “Tell me what you meant,” I said.
Confliction passed over his face. “Your dad loves you, Cass, but he doesn’t protect you. Not like he should.”
“Says you,” I retorted. “What were you doing up so late to realize we were gone?”
He sighed, his thumb stroking my skin where he still held my arm. “That… is unimportant. What matters is that you were gone and considering the fact that you told everyone goodnight, that meant no one knew you’d left. These streets aren’t safe when you’re alone.”
“I had Avery.”
“She’s like five-foot-nothing, Cass.”
“She’d be very offended if she heard that.”
Bucky rolled his eyes. “Good thing she’s not here.” He glanced down for a moment.
“My eyes are up here,” I teased.
He looked back up at me. “I was reading your shirt.”
I grinned. “Did your ego just take a hit?”
Bucky shrugged, releasing my arm. “If that statement is true, I have nothing to worry about.”
I let out the smallest gasp.
“Finish that water and go to bed.” He stepped back, leaving the kitchen.
“Yes, sir,” I replied.
“And don’t call me that.”
I rolled my eyes before leaning over the counter, my face in my hands. I was burning up. That vodka was kicking in.
I used to think there was nothing worse than having to go to class hungover. I now knew that it was even worse to wake up to direct sunlight and yelling in the living room when hungover.
At first, I was tempted to try and sleep through it, but one of those voices didn’t belong in an argument that heated. It shot adrenaline straight through me and I immediately rushed out in the living room. I was only in my pajama bottoms and a hoodie, but I didn’t care. Something was wrong.
I squinted against the light, ignoring the pounding in my head as I hurried into the living room. “What is going on?”
I took in the scene. Steve and Avery stood in front of the fireplace, Bucky leaning against the wall in the corner. Nat was in the kitchen, watching from a distance. My dad was sitting on the couch, seemingly only a little annoyed.
“Have you not learned your lesson?” Steve snapped at Avery as she held her arms to herself.
“Nothing even happened! I wasn’t doing anything wrong!”
“What you were doing is a gateway.”
“Hello?!” I stepped up beside her. “What are you so pissed about?”
“Cassandra,” Dad warned.
“Do you not have something to say to her?” Steve said to my dad, who shrugged.
“She’s a twenty year old girl. Twenty year old girls party. Sometimes they drink. It’s the 21st century, Cap. As long as she’s safe.” Dad looked at me. “Did you drive?”
“No.”
“Are you pregnant?”
“No!”
He looked at Steve again and held his hands out as if to say, “there you go.”
“That is not the bottom line for success that I want for my kid, Stark.”
“Dad,” Avery started. “It’s fine. Everything was fine. We were safe, we were on our way home when Bucky found us.”
“Bucky didn’t seem to think you were safe or he wouldn’t have told me.”
That’s when it clicked through my drowsy brain what had happened. I turned around and faced the man in the corner. “This is your fault.”
He didn’t say anything. His eyes fell to the ground and I faced the man in front of me again. “She didn’t do anything wrong,” I said. “If you’re gonna yell at someone, yell at me. Avery is doing everything she can to make you happy!”
“That’s not the point—”
“Sure seems like it.”
“Hasn’t this gone a little far?” Nat budded in, coming from the kitchen. “Rogers, she’s a kid. She went to a party, she didn’t rob a bank.”
“So no one understands how serious this is?”
“I think we understand that you’re being dramatic,” I said.
“Cass,” Nat hissed at me. “Stop it.”
“Please,” Avery said quietly. “Can we just let this be over with?”
Steve took a step forward and I caught myself stepping between them. He looked right at her as he spoke. “Not until you understand that this road leads to you being exactly like your mother.”
“Woah,” Dad said, finally standing. “That’s enough.”
I saw the moment tears welled in her eyes and it was like something in me snapped. I didn’t even realize I was moving towards him until an arm wrapped around me from behind hauling me back.
Now everyone was yelling.
Nat pulled Steve back. “Being an asshole to your kid is not going to fix your relationship problems.”
Dad wrapped his arm around Avery’s shoulders. “Barnes, get them out of here.”
“No,” I started. “I want to stay—”
“Go, Cassandra.”
I shut my mouth and listened for once in my life.
In her bedroom, Avery switched back and forth between crying and yelling for half an hour. I sat on the bed, occasionally glancing at Bucky, who stood in the corner and looked really concerned.
Finally, she nearly collapsed on the floor with her back against the bed. I climbed down and sat next to her, wrapping my arm around her. “He didn’t mean it,” I said quietly. “He’s just a dad. Dads say things they don’t mean when they’re upset.”
She didn’t respond, but instead looked up at the man in the corner. “I thought you’d have my back,” she said, her voice wavering in a way that made my heart shatter in my chest. “You’re supposed to be my friend too. Not just his.”
Bucky took a breath and walked over, taking the chair from her desk to sit in front of us. “When your dad and I were kids, it was my job to look after him. To keep him safe.”
Avery and I glanced at each other, but kept quiet.
“I did my best— or what I thought was my best. And you know what happened?” Bucky stared at the floor like he was watching it all replay. “He signed up to be a test subject for a science project and went off to war. I blame myself for it.”
Avery wiped her eyes. “But isn’t he better for it?”
“We can say that now, can’t we?” Bucky said. “But at the time it felt like I failed.”
I watched him and the way he struggled but managed to look at her with the most sincerity I’d ever seen from him. “I don’t want to fail you either, bug. I don’t want you to hate me, but if that’s the price of keeping you safe…” He finished with a shrug and I felt her ease up a little.
“That’s a stupid theory,” she said, but I could tell she didn’t mean it.
“You want ice cream?” I asked. She nodded. I got up and walked to the door. “We’ll be back.” I gave Bucky a pointed look, nodding towards the door.
After a moment of hesitation, he followed me out into the hall. I grabbed my purse from my room and snuck to the elevator in the back hall. “Why am I coming?” Bucky asked.
“Because I have some questions for you.”
I didn’t take my car very often, but today was an exception. Driving was like therapy for me and boy did I need some of that right now. “Why’d you do it?” I asked.
I didn’t get an answer right away. Instead, I heard Bucky sigh. “Because it’s what’s best.”
“Sitting back so she can get yelled at and insulted for an hour is what’s best for her?” I tightened my hands on the steering wheel as I accelerated into the street. “Is that really what you think?” I glanced at him. “I’ve known you for a while. And I know you don’t really think that.”
“It’s complicated, Cass. She’s still a kid.”
“She’s almost nineteen, Bucky.”
“She’s... The world's gone at her enough. I wanna prevent it anymore if I can.”
I rolled my eyes. “Okay, well what about your friend’s newfound temper? Because he wasn’t always like that.”
“He’s under a lot of pressure right now with missions.”
“Isn’t everyone?” I sighed, running my hand through my hair. “Listen. I’m doing what I have to in order to keep her from locking herself up in her room for the rest of her life.”
Bucky looked at me. “What are you talking about?”
“I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but she’s retreated a little bit lately. It’s her anxiety.” I signaled to turn onto the next street.
“What do you mean?”
“She’s having a hard time with it,” I said. “Her dad’s missions, college, work, relationships. It’s getting to her. She panics easier now than she did a few years ago. Things like this morning will have her off balance for weeks. Her medication isn't working as well.” I glanced at him as I pulled into the parking lot. “I can’t believe you haven’t noticed. Even Nat said something the other day.” “I guess… I’m in my head a lot these days.” “Well, you’re not the only one.” I grabbed my bag and climbed out of the car. “Hurry up.”

Are you Man Enough to Take the Blame for This?
Summary: In the midst of the civil war fight, Rose sees Tony fighting Wanda and something primal inside her emerges
Words: 1308
Romani translation
San Mishto - Are you okay
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Everything was a wild blur. Friend fighting friend, blood shed on both sides. Rose was currently on top of a squirming Clint in the form of a massive tiger, trying to keep him pinned to the ground. It pained her deeply to be fighting against people she once saw as family, but now there was no time to think on that, all that mattered was getting the seven of them subdued long enough for them to take matters into their own hands
Rose hoped and prayed that this fight would end soon. For not just her sake but for everyone’s. “Just stay down Clint. It’s better this way.” She hissed as she kept one of her massive paws pinned on his shoulder. Suddenly in that moment there was a commotion nearby, catching Rose’s gaze. Wanda had been flung down into the tarmac by an unknown force. She let out a cry of pain as she reeled from the force against her back
It was taking everything inside Rose to not run over to Wanda to see if she was okay. She may have been her girlfriend but…they were on opposite ends of the fight. Wanda aligned with Steve’s ideals of not having the government control them while Rose was on Tony’s side, saying that they needed to be held accountable for the damage that they do. It absolutely killed Rose inside and for that very reason she stayed far away from Wanda throughout the fight, unable to face her head on herself
Suddenly, Tony’s familiar red and gold suited person came flying down from the sky and stood over Wanda, one of his repulsor cannons aimed right at her face. Rose knew that Tony was only trying to subdue Wanda and wasn’t aiming to actually harm her badly, but something deep inside Rose’s very psyche trembled to life. A deep seeded instinct that Rose could almost describe as primally protective began to take shape inside her head
When Rose looked at Wanda, seeing the fear in her eyes as she raised her hands to try and protect herself, all she could see was the one and only thing she needed to protect in that very moment. However when she looked at Tony, she didn’t see the man that she also loved, the man that took her in as a child and raised her as his own. No…in her eyes…he was a threat, a threat to the love of her life, and she wouldn’t stand idly by as her love was being threatened
Rose let out a loud and guttural roar as she leapt off Clint and began to charge towards Tony. With each bounding step, she was quickly closing the distance between her and the metal man. Faster before Tony could react, she barreled into him, knocking him clean off his feet and disorienting him as he hit the ground
Tony was caught in a daze, unable to understand what had just happened. One moment he had Wanda pinned to the ground and was just about to subdue her when the next moment massive force hit his left side, sending him flying. When he was finally able to orient himself, Tony was met face to face with Rose’s massive tiger form he had seen her in earlier
She was seemingly looking right through him, her massive purple eyes were angry slits. “Rose? What are you doing? Stand down.” Tony demanded, not knowing what exactly was going on with his kid to make her act this way. His words however seemed to go in one ear and out the other as she began to stalk him, slowly inching closer and closer like any predator animal would
“Rose! Enough!” Tony told her as he backed away, unable to fly away as one of his boot blasters was damaged when Rose had rammed him. Once again Tony’s words fell on deaf ears as his daughter stalked ever closer. And sure enough before Tony had any chance of getting away, Rose jumped at him, her massive weight slamming into him and knocking him to the ground
With him down on the ground, Tony felt a pressure around his neck as Rose’s teeth were effectively clamping down on either side of his neck. She wasn’t getting anywhere however as the suit was effectively protecting his windpipe from being crushed. Growing frustrated that her teeth weren’t working at eliminating the threat, Rose began to swipe her massive paws at Tony’s head, her large claws gripping the metal and tearing at it as if it were nothing
The integrity of Tony’s suit was failing and with a calculated swipe across from Rose against his helmet, her claws sliced right through the metal and cut a nice sizable slash across his face. As a last ditch effort to get Rose off of him and to snap her out of whatever daze she was in, Tony diverted the last remaining power in his suit to the blaster in his chest, and full throttle blasted her right off of him, sending her flying several yards away
Tony was panting as adrenaline coursed through his veins. As he sat up, he felt warm blood dribbling down from the massive slash in his face. This would surely scar. He was lucky not to lose one of his eyes
Meanwhile the impact of Rose hitting the ground had caused her powers to disengage, forcing her back into her human form. She groaned as the wind had been knocked straight out of her lungs, iron on her tongue as she coughed and wheezed out blood. As she pushed herself to her hands and knees, she felt a pair of hands on her shoulders
“Rose!” Wanda’s panicked voice rang in her ear. “San Mishto?!” She asked her as she helped her up into a sitting position. “I’m…okay…” Rose wheezed out as she blinked several times, her blurred vision eventually cleared. Once it did, she saw Tony on the ground a good few yards away from them. His suit was badly damaged, evident by the…claw marks covering his suit
Rose felt her heart sink in her chest at the sight, her blood running cold. “What did I do?” She whispered, looking at Wanda with a look of horror on her face. Wanda merely shook her head, helping Rose to her feet. “We’re leaving.” Wanda told her before lifting the both of them up into the air with her powers, flying away and leaving the fight for good
To hell with this whole fight, neither of them deserved to be a part of it, at least that’s what Wanda thought. This was Tony and Steve’s fight to settle not theirs. Wanda already had a plan in her mind. The two of them would go into hiding, disappear off the face of the earth. They could live quiet solitary lives away from all the fighting and chaos. That was what they both wanted after all, a quiet life devoid of fighting. They would make it through this
As Rose flew beside Wanda however, her own mind was lost in a swirling fog of thoughts. She looked down at her hands. The claws on her right hand were caked in a thick coating of blood, Tony’s blood. Why did she do that? What did she suddenly turn on the man she called father? For no apparent reason at all. Rose was lost in her thoughts as tears began to well up in her violet eyes. Memories of how she used to think of herself as a violent monster echoed to the forefront of her mind. The same words that hydra had beaten into her very bones. She was a monster. She would never forgive herself for this

I LOVE TONY STARK
I had a lot of art block then a Tony Stark obsession came into play and I've been drawing him a lot with my persona, Valentine. Please enjoy their silly relationship. (I used a base as reference for most of these because my drawing skills are shit)

Never Ever
Tony Stark x fem!reader
WC: 1.3k
CW: Fluff; mentions of lunch?; Tony Stark being a gentleman 😅
Summary: Your new boss never ever does one-on-ones
Day 28 of mk’s mad dash
Tumblr media
You’re finally starting to feel your first-day-nerves settle, and it’s a relief. After getting some one-on-one time this morning with Natasha, your boss’ previous assistant, the job doesn’t seem all that bad.
Though first-day nerves are normal, you suppose they’ve been exacerbated by the fact that you would be working for Avenger and billionaire Tony Stark. Natasha has assured you that despite his powers and influence, he’s really all bark and no bite, and that you’ll have no problem “handling him.”
Still, it’s hard to know if you 100% believe her, seeing as you’ve yet to actually meet your boss.
Regardless, Natasha has just left you to go to some Avengers meeting, so you feel relieved to know that you probably have a solid hour before you finally, hopefully (or not hopefully) meet Mr. Stark.
You decide that your first order of business is to decorate your desk with a few keepsakes from home and pictures of your friends and family.
Right in between your two monitors you set your little rubber ducks- one pink and one yellow. You neatly set out your dark blue coffee mug in the right corner and a picture frame of your cat in the other.
The last things to go up are your pictures. With a handful of thumb tacks, you stick them on the cork board walls surrounding your desk. A couple of the pictures you put up are you with your family- all of you bearing happy smiles on vacation or a holiday. Others are with your friends- your roommates from college, your old high school coworker, and your childhood best friend, Thomas.
“Is that your boyfriend?”
As you adjust the picture of you and Thomas you smirk. It’s a question you’ve both gotten many times, and the answer is always “No. that’s my best friend Tho-“
You look up from the picture and stop mid-sentence, eyes widening as you realize that you’re talking so very casually to none other than your boss.
“Oh! Uhm, Mr. Stark! Hi!” You stutter, introducing yourself, “I’m your new assistant.”
You cringe, “though I’m sure you figured that much out yourself.”
Your boss scans you seriously and then breaks out a smirk, “Please, loosen up around me- I’m just your average playboy, billionaire, superhero. And call me Tony. Mr. Stark was my father’s name.”
An exasperated chuckle escapes you and you nod, “right, okay. Sorry, Tony. It’s a pleasure to finally meet you.”
The brunette motions for you to follow him and you oblige.
“You as well. You know, Natasha spoke very highly of you after your interview, so I’ve been very curious to meet the one who impressed the Black Widow.”
Heat creeps to your cheeks against your will, and you’re glad Tony is looking forward as he walks and not at you.
“I guess I’ll have to thank her for the glowing recommendation.”
You arrive outside what you assume is Tony’s office- given its size and grandeur.
Tony confirms your suspicions a second later. He opens the door and gestures for you to go in first.
You let out a meek thank you and scurry in, moving off to the side so he can follow. His office is impressive to say the least. It’s spacious and really, really fancy. His desk is made of the sleekest dark wood with two high-tech computers adorning its surface. Tony has the most wonderful view too- a huge window looking out onto the rooftops of New York’s most beautiful skyscrapers.
An “oh wow,” escapes your lips before you can stop it.
Your boss lets out a chuckle at your awe and nods for you to go look. You make your way over to the window and lean your hands against the windowsill.
“I already knew I loved New York. But this. I mean, wow.”
Tony joins you, standing at your side, “it is quite a view.”
The awe in his voice is obvious and you glance over at him. But he’s not looking at the city. He’s already looking at you.
“Yeah, it is,” you say, trailing off.
Your boss holds your gaze for a second before clearing his throat and looking away.
“Anyways, I just wanted to get you acquainted with where my office is and get to know you a little. I’m assuming Natasha explained all your tasks to you?”
You nod, “Yes, she did. But…sorry, I hope you don’t mind me asking, don’t you have an Avengers meeting right now?”
Tony looks down at his watch and curses, “Steve is going to kill me.”
Then he looks up at you with a smirk, “Already doing pretty damn good at your job though.”
He heads towards his office door but hesitates when he grabs the handle, “I stand by what I said, by the way. I do want to get to know you. Lunch is on me today, at noon. You can meet me out in the lobby.”
Once you nod affirmatively at him, Tony opens the door and leaves, another muttered curse reaching your ears as you follow him out.
You’ve just finished the last of your paperwork before lunch when Natasha sidles up to your desk.
“Hey hot stuff,” she teases.
You give her a weird look, “Heyyyy Natasha?”
“So, a little birdie told me that Tony’s taking you out to lunch.”
Excitement overtakes your confusion, “oh yeah! He is! I actually need to be down in the lobby in five minutes.”
Natasha smiles at you like she knows something you don’t.
“What?!”
“Is this Tony’s new assistant?” a voice adds.
It’s a man- Hawkeye, you think.
He extends his hand with a smirk, “My name’s Clint, nice to meet you.”
You shake his hand firmly, but your eyes don’t leave the redhead’s face.
“Pleasure, really. But what’s going on, Natasha?”
“Tony’s taking you to lunch,” she huffs.
“Yeah? And? It’s not a big deal.”
“It’s a huge deal,” a third voice adds.
This one, you know for sure.
Pepper Potts.
“It’s just lunch,” you sigh, exasperatedly.
“Stark doesn’t do ‘just lunch’,” Clint tells you matter-of-factly, “never ever.”
“Not when I was his assistant,” Natasha states.
“Or when I was before Natasha,” Pepper adds.
“Tony does company lunches sure, but never ever one-on-one,” Clint finishes.
Your stomach flips nervously in your stomach.
“So then why me? Why how?”
The redhead looks at you with that smirk of hers again, “who’s to know?”
She looks at her watch, “and I believe you’ll be late if you don’t leave now.”
You jump up from your chair, cursing.
“We’ll talk later.”
You try to ignore the eyes that follow you as you walk to the elevator.
For as tall as the building is, the ride down in the elevator is fast. When you emerge into the lobby, you’re relieved to find that you beat Tony downstairs.
Only by a few seconds though, it seems, because he emerges from another elevator only moments later.
He spots you instantly and gives you the smile you always see him use on the news.
When he approaches you, he brushes your arm gently, guiding the both of you to where his car is stowed away- A car that is nicer than anything you’ve ever seen, nicer even than your own home.
Like a gentleman, your boss grabs your door before you can and opens it for you. He extends his other hand to help you into the low-riding car and you willingly accept. When your palms touch, a spark shoots up your arm and you just barely withhold a shiver.
Then, the door shuts resoundly.
*****
You don’t bother reaching for your door handle, because you know you’ll only be stopped before you even get the chance.
Tony is around to the passenger side door so fast you wonder if he hopped out while the car was still rolling.
The brunette holds out his hand to help you out of the car and sparks run through your body at his touch, even after all this time.
Once he’s shut the door behind you, his hand moves from yours to wrap around your waist and rest lovingly on your hip.
“Why thank you, Mr. Stark,” you tease, “quite the gentleman.”
Tony presses a searing kiss to your lips that sends your stomach up in butterflies.
“You’re welcome, Mrs. Stark.”

The Ebony Wings of Hydra - CH 2
Pairings: Wanda x R
Word count: 2.2K
Summary: you have a nightmare and Wanda and nat help you.
TW: panic attack, flashback, death (mentioned), nightmares, touch deprivation, touch therapy
A/n a very fluffy (and kinda short) chapter for y’all :)
They had given you a room. Not a cell. A whole room to yourself. When Wanda had shown it to you, she watched with an amused grin as you paced and inspected every small part of it.
After your shopping spree you had a set of coloured pencils, paints, markers and a whole host of mechanical pencils, rubbers and even a premium sketchbook. Wanda had insisted after she caught you drawing in the communal lounge.
*flashback*
“Hey y/n have you seen my-“ Wanda said walking into the room pausing by your shoulder. You were sat drawing on a piece of scrap paper. So involved in it you hadn’t noticed her presence. “Wow.” Wanda said unintentionally. You flinched, not having heard her get closer.
“Sorry.” Wanda said with a small smile cross grimace. “That’s really amazing y/n” she said pointing. You grinned sheepishly and cover it with spread fingers the tips of your ears turning pink. Wanda reached over your shoulder and pried your fingers away with little resistance. The drawing was Wanda in the kitchen cooking pancakes from earlier that morning. “You really have a skill y/n.” Wanda said smiling softly. “Im defiantly talking to Steve about getting you some more art supplies. You cant keep using this” she gestured to the 50c mechanical pencil you were holding. You frowned “why not?” You said and Wanda laughed.
“Its not very artist-y i honestly don’t even know where you found that. Tony hates cheap stationary.” She grinned.
“I think pepper keeps replacing Tony’s fancy pens with them. I caught her swapping them and she explained his pet peeve and how hers is him not turning up to meetings so this is her payback.” You grinned. Wanda looked slightly shocked.
“You met pepper?”
“Yeah after breakfast i was looking for tony to thank him. She gave me one of them” you grinned.
*end flashback*
It had now been almost 24 hours since you first arrived. The team was adjusting to your presence but most weren’t at the compound. Clint was with his kids. Nat was on a mission but was supposed to be getting home soon. Bruce was in his lab. Bucky and Sam had to go on a mission with Steve. Wanda and you had been spending time together. And tony seemed to be getting mad about something and had locked himself in his lab where pepper had been bringing him food between her meetings claiming he can’t live off coffee. Peter was busy with school and Kate and Yelena were who knows where.
The last 24 hours had been frustrating for tony, he was desperate to know how you were enhanced. But Friday didn’t know either just saying you had modified genetics and since tony had freaked you out in the med bay, aside from thanking him, Wanda and Natasha had barred him from seeing you until you were better.
It was now 11pm, you had stayed up late and started a new drawing. You tossed and turned for a bit, as nice as it was you were unused to a bed and it was too soft to sleep on. After a few minutes you grabbed the blanket and a pillow and moved to the floor. Sighing it felt more familiar. It wasn’t long until the exhaustion caught up and you drifted off.
Nat had just gotten back. She had a drink of water in the kitchen and had showered at the safe house before coming back. Now she just wanted to slip into something comfy and go to sleep. She caught the elevator back to her floor. She shared the level with the other girls, you and Wanda and sometimes Yelena when she stayed at the tower. There was also the spare room which was Kate’s when she was here.
Stepping off the elevator nat chuckled at the flickering lights and muffled sounds from under Wanda’s door. She had obviously fallen asleep watching sitcoms again. Nat carefully opened the door, whispering to Friday to turn it off once she saw Wanda asleep. Friday turned it off and nat turned out the light before leaving. Wandas little red nightlight glowed softly. Since Pietro died she found the dark suffocating and it was always so much worse when she woke in a cold sweat from a nightmare in the dark. Nat was the only one who knew as she suggested and bought it for Wanda after calming her down one night.
Nat’s feet carried her down the hall she pausing at your door listening for movement to see if you were sleeping. She frowned. Small whimpers could be heard past the door. Just as nat placed her hand on the door knob a blood curdling scream came from within the room. Nat was inside in an instance. Almost panicking when she saw the empty bed until her gaze lowered to where you sat shaking on the floor. She slowly came to your side. Tears were streaming down your face. White knuckled hands gripped the blanket as you shuddered with each uneven breath you drew. Your eyes were flitting fast around the room the darkness drowning you.
Nat was by your side carefully she pried your hands from the blanket replacing them with her own hands. She squeezed them to try and draw you back. Nat looked into your eyes, her mouth was moving but you heard no words. Nat’s breathing was exaggerated and subconsciously you began to mimic it.
“Good thats good. Your doing so well y/n.” She said and you nodded tears still streaming down your face. “Fri, lights at 20%” then the lights began to slowly become brighter. You flinched and nat went back to comforting you. Neither of you had noticed Wanda standing in the doorway. After a few moments you threw yourself at nat. She stiffened not expecting it before relaxing and wrapping her arms around you. You sniffled and buried your teary face in her chest.
“Shh shh shhh” nat said rubbing her hand up and down your back softly. Nat looked up for the first time nodding to Wanda. Wanda nodded back mouthing “is she ok?” Nat nodded mouthing back.
“Nightmare.” Wanda nodded again and came and sat beside nat. Wanda began drawing shapes on your thigh. Soon small snores came from Nat’s lap as the two realised you were asleep.
“Should we move her to the bed?” Wanda asked.
“Its more comfortable than the floor. But for some reason she was sleeping on the floor when i came in.” Nat frowned.
“Understandable i did the same when I first came here. Its more like a cell. Shes more used to it than the bed.” Wanda explained. Carefully nat shifted to stand with you in her arms. Sleepily you clung to her. Wanda chuckled.
“Need any help?”
“No. But i think i am going to stay here tonight in case she has another nightmare. Can you watch her while i get changed? Ill only be a minute.” Nat said, carefully placing you on the bed.
“Sure no problem.” Wanda said watching you start wriggling on the bed. Wanda sat down rubbing a hand on your back you sought her out and snuggled into her leg and went still once more aside from the steady rise and fall for your chest.
“Thanks Wanda.” Nat said. She left quickly and changed. Returning to find Wanda asleep with you curled into her side. Nat chuckled quietly slipping out and unplugging Wanda’s night light from her room and plugging it in into your room instead. She pull the sheets over the three of you and went to sleep. You slept the rest of the night. Waking in the cold darkness had been a bit too much like your cell and it had been what triggered the panic attack after the nightmare you had because it was like you were still there.
The next morning you woke to the feeling of arms around you. You stiffened before last night came back to you. You groaned softly and opened your eyes. Nat looked down at you from where she sat against the headboard of the bed reading.
“Morning sleepy head.” She whispered and grinned down at you. It must be Wanda’s arms around your midsection then you thought to yourself.
“Morning.” You said, morning voice quiet gravelly with the absence of moisture.
You noticed the soft red glow from the table by Nat’s side of the bed.
“Um. Nat?” You whispered.
“Yes y/n?” She said looking up again from the book tucked between her knees.
“You didn’t need to bring in a night light.” You blushed unsure how she knew about what you felt last night.
“Oh. Its Wanda’s.” Nat said and you seemed to deflate. “Why? Do you want one?” Nat said softly. You merely swallowed and her gaze softened more. “There’s nothing wrong with it y/n.”
“Its just… last night after i woke i couldn’t see and i felt like… like… I was back there.” You said. Wandas arms seemed to tighten around you.
“Thank you for telling me y/n I’ll be sure to order anther one today. Do you have a colour your prefer?” She asked placing in a bookmark to the spine of her book.
“Um not really. Just not yellow or orange. Red is ok. But the alarm lights in the cell. The ones that came on during attacks or when the siren went on was, were yellow and orange. So, please not those colours if thats ok.”
“That’s perfectly fine thank you for telling me.” Nat said.
“I said the same thing.” Wanda said from behind you and you chuckled slightly. Wanda withdrew her arms seemingly unbothered by the previous contact. You missed it almost. No. You defiantly missed it. Years without friendly contact had left you severely touch starved. So much so that you craved even the most basic touch. Wanda seemed to sense your change in mood.
“Y/n?” She asked slowly.
“Yeah?” You swallowed.
“Did you share a cell in hydra.”
“No? Why?” You said and Wanda frowned.
“Not once?” She asked and nat seemed to catch on but you still hadn’t.
“No.” You shook your head propping yourself up on your elbows.
“Y/n do you know what touch starvation is?” Nat asked placing her book on the bedside.
“Vaguely?” You said.
“Well you should expect a lot more contact from the both of us from now on sweetie. And daily cuddles from whichever one of us you would prefer.” Nat said softly.
“Ok.” You said softly averting you gaze.
“Hey.” Nat said softly using her finger to guide your head up by the underside of your chin until you locked eyes. “Its ok. Your safe now.” She said and after the moment passed Wanda slipped out from behind you. She walked over to the bathroom.
“Hey y/n do you mind if i use your bathroom.”
“Not at all. Go ahead.” You said. And Wanda smiled slipping inside and shutting the door. After a couple of moments the door opened again and Wanda’s head popped out.
“Y/n you don’t have any toiletries?”
“Um yeah? Hydra didn’t really send us many care packages.” You said.
“Friday order everything off my list on Amazon called basic toiletries.”
“Yes Ms Maximoff right away.”
“We will not have you using Tony’s tiny Ironman branded hotel soaps.” She said and grinned before disappearing inside again and shutting the door once more.
“So? Which ones did you get?” Nat said with a grin.
“What do you mean?”
“Tony being tony has made his shampoo and conditioners a collectable set. There are twelve different pictures of tony in his suit. He made some harder to find than others. Don’t tell anyone but I’ve been trying to complete the set since i first came here.” She grinned and you laughed behind you hand.
“I don’t know. Its his suit but its not. Its blue kinda?” You said.
“Omg you have the pepper set.”
“The pepper set?”
“Pepper would only let tony do something so self centred if she was allowed to be on one of them in her suit.” Nat grinned. “I’ll defiantly be taking them because i don’t have that one yet. Tony being petty made it one of the less common ones just to spite pepper.” Nat giggled. Your jaw dropped.
“Pepper has a suit?”
“Yeah but she doesn’t fight or anything. Tony wont let her. Its more a security measure. Just in case she needs to be protected.” Nat nodded. A moment later Wanda emerged from the bathroom.
“Im going to go start on breakfast.” She said.
“Don’t bother.” Nat said “Clint’s been in the kitchen since 5am. He wanted to surprise us with a visit and rub it in Tony’s face that he can cook without burning it.”
Wanda giggled. “Well in that case.” She said slipping back under the sheets. “Its time to start y/n’s daily cuddles.” You blushed deeply as Wanda snuggled up to your side.
“Is this ok y/n?” Wanda asked.
“Y-yes.” You said and Wanda smiled.
“Good.” She draped an arm over your stomach as she buried her face in your side.
“Wandas very cuddly in the mornings.” Nat chuckled. “Normally I’m the one who gets the cuddles.” She said.
“Well feel free to join.” Wanda mumbled and nat smiled placing a hand on your leg.
