Before you use "women and femmes", stop and ask yourself if there's any reason you couldn't use "women and trans people" instead. Talking about the pressure to perform femininity? Transmascs and nonbinary people also face that pressure to varying degrees and for various reasons (and obviously so do trans women, but they're already covered under women). Talking about anything to do with "female" reproductive organs and/or secondary sex characteristics? That's gonna affect a lot of transmascs and nonbinary people, and since it already doesn't affect all women it shouldn't matter that it's not all of them. Talking about misogyny and oppression under patriarchy? That affects transmascs and nonbinary people because, frankly, all trans people are oppressed under patriarchy.

I personally can't think of a usage of "women and femmes" where "women and trans people" wouldn't be just as accurate, if not more. You could also throw in an "and intersex people" where it's relevant. Gender isn't a binary, so can we please stop acting like it is?

If you had to write your own X-men story line, what would it be? Who would it feature?

Hello fellow mutants!

I've created 5 connecting plot lines for 5 x-men characters in my AU (the dieverse) through my vision that you can get a glimpse of below. The order I have so far is:

Book 1: Quicksilver

(the story of a trans boy and his sister living in containment, breaking himself to become the soldier they want him to be while questioning what it is his father wants him to be)

Book 2: Scarlet Witch

(the story of a child learning to control her incredible abilities, while discovering just what exactly the people who experimented on her and her brother were really up to)

Book 3: Nightcrawler

(the story of a young boy in a circus, questioning why exactly God would make him this way, this image, this love, and learning to accept himself for everything he is, and was)

Book 4: Angel

(the story of a boy, who's always been told to be good, to be seen, not heard, finally snapping, and becoming someone he never thought he could be, with the help of someone who's supposed to be his enemy)

Book 5: Rogue

(the story of a girl and her mother, and finding exactly what happens when she's forced to push her powers, and mental limits, to the edge)

so far I have their main plot points and concept maps, and I have a script completely written for quicksilver. I'm working on making it a book that I will publish on ao3 first, then hopefully I will be able to convert it into a comic of some sort.

My request is : Let me know if you have any characters you want to see that haven't really had time to shine. I plan on exploring a lot more niche characters in future books hopefully, such as Magik's backstory in connection to Colossus's, Lorna's connection to Pietro and Wanda, and etc (I really love the interconnection of character's and MAKING connections between characters, hehe) but PLEASE let me know your thoughts.

My ocs Carmen, Jane, and Louise. I am still trying to figure out shapes and body types and whatnot, so I was experimenting.

Batman's backstory, but without the emo and more trans. His parents died in a tragic villain related accident when he was young & so he swore to being a hero one day in order to protect people. Except he has a superpower (metal bending essentially) & he's mute. And not a furry. Then he met his friends and they all became heroes! Hurray! But he's also kind of the brains behind the operation. And the money. Their superhero costumes are all funded by him.

Next is Jane. She's meant to be the tallest but I wasn't paying too close attention while drawing this. So anyway, she's a government experiment, a baby made in a lab. She's meant to be perfect. Except the power they gave her (superspeed (think quicksilver)) Ruins her life. Her metabolism is going at a constant, unsustainable rate making her need to eat constantly, her heart is beating too fast and she's breathing too fast and she's so fast but she's also experiencing the world is slow motion. She can't turn it off, so everyone is just slow as hell around her all the time. Her life is a nightmare.

And last but not least, Louise. She's objectively the most normal and least traumatised person here. She's a ballerina and like, a third rabbit. Her mam was a fucked up experiment going on in France and her dad was a young researcher on the project who wouldn't stand for the blatant human rights violations. The two got out and escaped as refugees to the US where they had Louise. Like I cannot emphasise enough, despite being part rabbit, she is kinda just a normal teenage girl with a lot of passion for life. She got into the hero shit because she likes her friends and wanted to help people alongside them.
