It's really funny how Fairmaestro had so much potential as a minor human villain but the writers just made him so boring.

A carnie who moonlights as an arms dealer and collects Cybertronians to use for profit? And who augments himself with advanced technology to make it seem like he has actual magic powers? That sounds like such a fun antagonist on paper!

But then all he does is get his butt kicked by literal children and create extremely lame carnival games that are obviously rigged.

It's kind of hilarious how S3/S2bE3 completely forgot that Fairmaestro was also selling weaponry on the black market and just made being a carnie his only definining character trait.

Every time he shows up the show tries so hard to make him intimidating and scary but his design just doesn't reflect what the writers want him to be.

Seriously, this

is quite possibly the lamest design for a carnival-themed villain I've ever had the misfortune of laying eyes on.

Where's the flamboyance? The colors? The pazzazz? What about this says 'evil carnie'?

The only part of it I kind of like is the UFO-themed cane as a call-back to Cosmos and the high-tech belt-buckle but that's it.
