#TransparencyPost This year was an exciting year for us. In 2019, we released our very first book and became self-published authors. This year we both gained new clients! We also began our clothing line as a strategy to promote mental health awareness! We were booked for a few seminars/workshops/speaking engagements. Lastly, both co-founders of S.T.E.P.S. Counseling & Consulting decided to take a leap of faith and quit their full-time job to become full time entrepreneurs! This was all done while working towards completing our doctoral degree and dealing with life in general (including both co-founders moving, one of the co-founders becoming a #mom for a second time then battling with #postpartum and the other co-founder having a #miscarriage). So yes, we are proud of our accomplishments but it was not easy! There was a lot of late nights, crying, wanting to give up, doubt, etc. However, it was our faith in God, faith in each other and the #LOVE and #SUPPORT of STEPSisters & STEPSbrothers (our followers, friends, family, clients and customers). We are truly grateful for every purchase, like, comment, and repost! The support we received was more than we ever imagined, so we just want to truly say THANK YOU‼️ We are filled with gratitude and truly appreciate each of you🙏🏽🙌🏽💫 We also decided to be #transparent because we are licensed counselors but we go through things also. That’s what makes us human. That’s what makes us relatable. That’s why we fight so hard to be mentally healthy ourselves and promote mental health awareness so much! We have to be healthy so we can help our clients become mentally healthy! So we are S.T.E.P.S. |•#TransparencyPost "Growth is realizing that everything has a purpose; that's including the things that didn't feel good to encounter: those experiences were a part of the shaping process!•| -- @ac_chronicles 🥀🌷🌹👑 ... 📸 @bskyyphotography 🔥❤ ... I remember lacking in confidence so bad that I would cry driving home from my photo shoots with major clients I once had like @byashleystewart because I knew my performance was poor. My mind had me all over the place. Where was I going to sleep when I left that shoot? Did I have enough for gas & food?😢(Lord take my hand) Will the repo man find my car? I'd prayed for him not too because I needed to make sure I could make it to my next set, casting, shoot, go see, etc. Not only that, but if he took my car, he would also take my personal belongings because I had one tote to the right of me, two in the back, a hamper, & a gang of shoes in my trunk: so, where could I park Ruby(that's what I call her), where would we be both be safe? ... All of that going through my head & trying to get the perfect shot: so much pressure & I needed to deliver but couldn't. Life was suffocating my dreams & interfering with my future. I knew something had to give but at that time, I didn't know where to begin. Backs turned, whispers, slander, insults, laughs, fake love, abandonment, rejection: the enemy had it out for me(truth is, he still does). ... Today I stand bold in my beauty of blossoming.🥀I traded GOD #BeautyForAshes 😔Pain propelled me into my purpose. Heartbreak triggered my healing. Postpartum presented me with an opportunity to persevere. GOD gave me a new GLOW.🌷Today, I am the owner of 3 businesses (new in their stages but they're mine). Doing, acting upon, & pursuing things I had no idea was at my reach.🌹 ...
