The Fraternity of Seven Sands is battle-ready! These proud xenos hunters pride themselves on their ability to hunt down orks. For as-yet unknown reasons, orks never catch them by surprise and they always seem to fight more ferociously when facing orks. Unrelated, their red-in-front, purple-in-back color scheme stands out somewhat in a sea of ultramarine, black, and white, but they are nevertheless loyalists.
This desert was my first ever attempt at making my own terrain. It’s simple, but I think that works in its favor. The rocks and cacti were interesting challenges to paint, and this was my first attempt at using UV resin to make a water effect for the river on character left.

Official bundle post for the recently released Barrel Cactus printable paper mini terrain. If you like these and are interested in more, you can grab these now over on my Patreon!
Vary up those blank desert maps with a little pop of color (an a potential environmental hazard)! If all goes well, I want to continue to add more types of foliage whenever I can, since there is a lot more amazing environments and maps out there besides the classic fantasy forest. These were a fun change of pace and I hope they come in handy for you all!
If you are able and want to support me and get a whole bunch more printable minis like these, please check out my Patreon page! All of which are available as pre-scaled easy to print PDFs / PNG files and work great with a myriad of ttrpg games, including DnD, Pathfinder, Daggerheart, Blades in the Dark, Call of Cthulhu and more. The front view for most minis is FREE and supporters get access to a whole lot more including unique back views, color options, alternative poses & variant designs, VTT tokens and so much more. With dozens of minis to choose from, and more uploading every month, you will always have a new option for your table. ❤

TTRPG TIP
If you need a map, try using something like Caltopo or looking up historical county maps for an area. I've played around with printouts of intricate webs of backroads that I've marked up to represent local areas in fantasy, modern, and apocalypse settings.
Nothing beats having a random towns layout and projecting your rpg upon it to keep track of what might be nearby, or to see if that army of the dead that your party ignored the plot hook for is going to cross their house in town before reaching the town Chapel.

"A trio of mecha advance into a small desert town, catching the local military presence off guard. Unbeknownst to them, enemy reinforcements are fast approaching..."

I maaay have found a new Mecha rpg system (The Mecha Hack, for those interested) and I maaay have been falling super hard for it and printing a ton of 6mm scale mechs and vehicles for it.
Somehow I keep forgetting how much I love 6mm scale. It can be detailed as all hell, but it's so small there's no pressure to make sure you get adsolutely everything right. You only do as much as you are comfortable with amd it always feels like a flex. :)

Finished hills with some static grass. Of the 5 (then 4) different attempts, number 3, the all foam worked out the best, as I could sit and carve it as per photo ref, rather then having 'kinda' hills.

What is best in life? To throw your dice, see them rolling before you, and to hear the lamentations of your players. That is good!

Does your party want a place to call base? Then they have to earn it first. It's time to get some skeletons our of the closet!
