There is an unbelievably delightful scene involving alien cats getting a crew off a space station. Through swallowing them.

This is possibly the hardest I have ever laughed at a marvel movie.

And the musical selection, a volcanic cherry on top.

I’ll cherish this in my memories for a good long while.

If Brie Larson is the John Wayne of this film (all business, caring the emotional boulder up the hill) then Iman Vellani is bouncing all over the play in joy, clearly in full Walter Brennan mode.

Vellani is a charismatic, watchable thespian and I’m looking forward to her future adventures (cheekily noted near the end)

This feels like it should have been a hang out movie. There is a bit too much plot, getting in the way of the three senoritas bullshitting around more, as humorous as jump rope teleportation and bilingual yelling are

I had a fic idea but don't know where to go with it, so if you want to expand on anything feel free.

So, Danny's finally an adult who's off to college at Gotham (the STEM there is crazy for how many supervillains have doctorates). Since Vlad actually took the time to heal and grow past his issues and turned into the crazy Bi uncle he was supposed to be, Danny's got his college paid for.

In the form of $50,000 and an kinda ok motel near the upper west side.

He tried asking his former nemesis why he's done this but Vlad just told him it's so he has some "pocket change and experience".

Danny's been spending the past few weeks aceing his his STEM middling at literature and upgrading the motel into something actually decent.

His business seem to be attracting the strangest living too. That's saying something since he's got ghostly and living guests. Danny knew this place was cursed but still feels surprised every time they show up.

1st: A nice lesbian couple came on the first night cause one with green-ish skin named Pam according to the pale lady named Harley felt the vegetation get really excited when he came. He had about an hour of questioning on Ectology and who Undergrowth was.

2nd: A 10ft tall crocodile man named Waylon came in cause of Harley's recommendation, he looked like he'd run any moment. That night he made sure his staff wouldn't mistreat people like him and by the time croc left there was a glowing sign by the door about how different guests are to be treated with respect no matter how they look.

3rd: THE Red hood showed up asking about a kid who worked there. Her name's Zoe and when her parents reaction to their kid being trans was to kick her out of the house at 17. She biked to the motel to get some rest before catching the bus out of Gotham, got a job checking people in instead and has since found an actual family with the help of Amorpho a social worker Danny met a few years ago.

4th: the most recent event was when Gotham's play boy prince and his cousin Kate Kane stumbled in during his shift at the front desk. Mr. Wayne was pretending extremely well to be drunk while his cousin was wrangling him awkwardly. If Danny didn't have super senses he wouldn't have noticed he was acting, or the tracker added to his cuff when he was semi-forced to shake "Bruce, just Bruce. Everyone's always so stiff." Hand. The tracker had little legs and crawled under his shirt, creepy and fascinating.

No thoughts just Steve Harrington paying Eddie in kisses instead of cash for weed. Eddie should’ve charged the twenty bucks he’d normally charge the rest of the basketball team, but Harrington was pretty and Eddie was a pathetic gay in a small town. Oh! Like other Netflix mini series or shows, this seem to be intended for putting on in the background.

Actively watching it is a tedious process.

There is too little material for six episodes and it never follows up on several interesting parts (the ring boy scandal, the feelings on Randy Savage, etc) that could make it worthy of that sustained running time

Several of the most interesting parts come from Vince himself. It makes me wonder if a just him, no other interviewees, 90 ish minute film (ala “De Palma” 2015 or especially “The Unknown Known” 2013 on Donald Rumsfeld ) would have been better.

Maybe that would have been too much bullshitting and bluster.

His aside on “anyway, the statue of limitations ran out in that case, if you consider it rape” and “I say things that I need to say, not that I feel” probably sums him up pretty well.

I always find it really funny when people close to those accused of abuse go “well, hold on, he was nice to me, a person who was his friend and not present at the alleged crime” (here being Bruce Prichard, a right hand guy who noted Vince helped his wife survive cancer with best doctors)

Is it not clear people contain multitudes? Is it fuzzy that talent is not connected or related to morality?

Vince McMahon can be the Walt Disney of wrestling, created innumerable dramatically intriguing angles, forged in collaboration with wrestlers some of the most thrilling characters ever…and still be a union busting, woman degrading, desperately in need of therapy(or something) rather than continuing the abuse of lost mentor figures on other human beings type person

The duality of humans allow those things, which is why when transgressions are proved in court, accountability is key.
