Hi, hello and welcome to this small (side-)blog of mine!

It’s just a silly thing I did because of my current hyper-fixation on SE:TD/Sonic, and everything is still severely a W.I.P! I’m @callmeclara235 by the way, and I don’t really care if you follow me there or not (and please don’t jump me for being so inactive lol xd).

So. yeah. A Sonic.EXE: The Disaster AU! It has some loose lore from the game here and there and a handful of headcanons, but I still hope you enjoy the occasional doodle or text post of mine!

- I might doodle something here and there (I love drawing hehe), but I can’t say that it’ll be a constant thing I’ll do. I’ll try to add some doodles to asks/replies tho!

- I don’t mind most ships, though I prefer Sonadow. You can talk about them if you feel like it, just don’t go overdrive with it. Also, if you hate the ship or just feel generally uncomfortable around it, feel free to dip out. Not forcing anyone to stay here!

★ Shadow ; An exhausted and brave teammate, still continuing to protect himself (and his team) against the dangers in this terrible, hideous world. He has lost a lot, yet he continues on until he can finally meet Maria again…

＋ Cream ; A scared, probably traumatized little rabbit girl who has lost many people close to her. She misses the days when everyone was fine and when everything was still colorful and friendly. Many mobians who have already passed are surprised that she has survived for so long — and she is too, but who knows when her time eventually ends?

☆ Rouge ; A sly, daring and sneaky bat lady who has decided to play a lot more serious and take the lead. She, alongside with Shadow, leads the team and tries to not die too soon. She is a tough one to get, but she knows that one day, her demise will meet her too.

♥︎ Amy ; A kind, strong girl who tries to protect what’s left of her old life — her friends. She’s brave and can swing her hammer around, but everyone has a weak spot. One miss-placed step, and it’s over. She knows, it scares her, but she stays strong to help her team out. It’s the most she has left anyways.

□ Knuckles ; A though, nearly fearless warrior who fights for himself most of the time, though he helps the team out sometimes. He’s strong and doesn’t hesitate to defend himself against the enemies. Not the most sentimental echidna, more of a dense block-head, but he knows when it is time to do the right thing. I think.

Is a rather a silly fella when on a non-murderous rampage, open for some chit-chat or silly jokes. He likes toying with his victims and gets pissed off when they fight back.

＊。◆ [ KOLOSSOS | ' KOLOSS ' | ' KOLO '] ; A mute yet dangerous entity who could kill you in a few strikes. Is calm when unbothered, open for some yapping or jokes. Not as energetic as Small. Just a chill, spooky guy who could maul you on sight.

～／／／☁︎ [ TAILS DOLL | ' TD ' / ( dislikes ->) ' DOLLY ' ] ; A possessed doll it seems. Mischievous little guy who is an absolute menace. Loves playing around with the survivors, tricking them into its traps or just flying around them like a mosquito (that’s what some of them keep calling him!). Annoying at times, but it’s rather tolerable most of the time. Doesn’t mind talking to others, doesn’t talk a lot though.

tl;dr made from Energy Soup created by extensive use of chaos emeralds. a cheerful thing with lots to learn :)

fun facts:

the quills sticking up is not consistent cuz it depends on how much he gives a shit about looking clean-cut on any given day

silver only really used the emeralds in '06 and that one time in the metal virus arc of IDW (if he's used them more than that don't spoil me on it LOL im still getting through the comics) so his influence is not as strong as the other 2. it comes through mostly in personality (generally pleasant, socially inept)

starlight exists in strict juxtaposition against the other hedgehogs because unlike all 3 of them they literally were created for no purpose other than to exist. hence she has a weaker sense of self than silver or shadow and especially sonic. it's fun to think of them raising a kid and having to manually instruct them how to enjoy living

hypothetically has access to chaos powers like her "dads" but since chaos energy is also literally her molecular makeup she basically falls apart if she uses it too much, hence the inhibitors

also i say "dads" but the only one of the 3 who really acts parental towards them is shadow (more on that later)

Back by (alarmingly) popular demand; Nightmare!!

And Dream’s debut!

I wanted these two to be pretty distinct from both their canon and fanon depictions. As such, they are both HORRIBLE guardians of their respective trait.

Genuinely, if it weren’t for the aura they carry and how positivity and negativity affect them, their roles might as well be reversed.

Dream tends to distance himself from those he loves leading him to be a very absent, emotionally and literally, caretaker for Palette. He’s always on the go. Needing to be everywhere at once. Helping as many people as possible. All to his own detriment.

Nightmare likes to put up a grumpy, narcissistic, and downright evil front, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. He would never admit it but he adores his gang. Though, other than those three he’s completely isolated.

Oh also!

Nightmare has largely overcome his curse. Don’t get me wrong, he still has a ton of left over resentment and wants to inflict the same pain he received, but he’s still himself. Dream, however, is not convinced. He wholeheartedly believes his brother died that day and has completely given up hope on “curing” him.

They’re so silly I love them <3

Extra notes:

Dream’s pendant works the same as Palette’s little wish balls except his are for hopes and dreams.

Nightmare’s moon necklace is all that’s left of his crown.

Watched an online presentation today about recent book trends, both in retail sales and library borrowing. Romance gets a big section of course, being (I think) THE most popular genre, with several heavy-hitting subcategories including romantasy and supernatural and historical and contemporary and on and on.

I wasn't surprised to hear the presenters bring up the uptick in sports romance as a subcategory, particularly hockey, because yeah, I've seen that. Unavoidable lately if you have... uhhh... entered bookstores + logged onto library websites + actually follow NHL hockey on any social media platform. Still unsurprising, even if you have done none of those other things, if you have any passing awareness of the behemoth that is Sports Real Person Fiction in general and Men's Hockey RPF in particular on AO3. (As of me going to check just now: nearly 200,000 fics and nearly 40,000 fics respectively. Damn. HRPF is nearly 25% of the parent tag there. People are having fun over there.)

I WAS taken aback, however, when the presenter brought up a few titles to watch in the coming year, noting a potential rising type of sports romance: motorracing sports romances. Now, this is not actually SURPRISING if you have any passing awareness (which I again did) of the other behemoth that is Formula 1 RPF on AO3 (nearly 49,000 fics on AO3, more than HRPF), but I simply hadn't actually thought about the industry potential before now. It did make me think to myself, "How many book industry analyst people are taking cues from AO3 now? I mean, it seems very reasonable to pay fanfic some attention for a bunch of different reasons (it does indicate a potential ready market, I presume there are simply plenty of fanfic pleasure readers in the publishing industry, etc.), but wow... time flies and culture changes. I mean, people are publishing original omegaverse stories, for example, and have been for a while now. Wild."

And also: "Huh. Can we play the game of predicting future popular book genres, specifically niche romance subcategories, 5-10 years from now based on what's popular on AO3 right now?" Now, I don't actually keep up enough with broader fandom trends to do this well or accurately, but it's still fun to look at various fandom trends and imagine their future professional publishing counterparts that I will simply Not Understand because it's Not My Thing. If they actually figure out how to file the serial numbers off of Minecraft Gamer RPF or something someday and it becomes the next big thing, no one tell me, because I want to get blindsided, just absolutely bodied by bafflement, when I walk into a bookstore. It'll be fun.

Oh, I just thought of something fun

So, imagine this au where Jason and Bruce's relationship got better, like, pretty good now, but only the family knows about it

Anyone outside the bats has no idea that Jason is the red hood or that, alternatively, Hood is Batman's son

So, from time to time, someone will watch them interact/talk about each other and either be extremely confused or misinterpret it

Examples

"Bats, you okay?"

"..."

"You look more uh... Grumpy than usual"

"... My son is out of town"

"Oh, right uh... Must be hard, but hey, i heard one of your rouges was out too, the Red Hood i think, surely that makes it easier"

And then Batman just sighs for a long second (Internally, because he'll never say it, he's just thinking that he misses his little 6'4 boy, Jason is been out for like a day by now), and whoever was with him just thinks that maybe Red Hood is worse when he's out of Gotham (which is true but they don't know why)

"You're going to die if You don't go back right fucking now!" Yelled Red Hood, in midst of chaos of a fight, from somewhere near enough to be heard but not seen.

"I Will never leave this alone!" Yelled Batman back, again, without being seen.

The league thought that it was a way of Red Hood to treaten Batman, when in reality, Jason was just trying to sent home his dad who has two broken ribs, to which said dad replied that he couldn't just leave him alone to deal with the situation.

With the escalation of harassment from our neighbor, and confirmation that he has a pattern of increasing harassment to the point of violence, we’ve made the decision that we need to pack up and leave ASAP.

We’re waiting for everything to be confirmed, but we have a promising opportunity for a spot to move ourselves and our animals. We want to be prepared to pack up the essentials and get our animals to the new property ASAP, so we’re asking for help in moving to a safer situation. We need a storage unit for our things, Uhaul rental(s), a deposit and transitional rent, and can’t afford to take time off to get everything ready without support.

I feel a chronic need to downplay things, but I’m in a state of constant anxiety that has made it difficult to eat, clean, and even do things I would normally enjoy. The neighbor has been intentionally provoking and creeping on us. He knows our schedule and watches where we go and what we do. We really need help. We really appreciate the support and love everyone’s given us already.
