wyllstarion discord was talking homestuck, which means i had to classpect all the tadfools

Okay, we'll get  the easy one out of the way: Astarion's a Rogue.

Yes, this is because he's a Rogue in game, because it is his archetype, but also I think that it fits him. One of the things about Rogues is that they deny their aspect, in large part because they don't think they have it.

There's a joke here about blood, because he steals blood, because he's a vampire, and there's an interesting thing there about Astarion & his simultaneous need and rejection of connection, but I think there's more to it than that. In the same vein, I think there's something interesting about Breath, the inverse, which is all about freedom, something Astarion struggles with just as much.

Instead, this may feel a bit too on the nose, but I'm going with Heart. While on a superficial level, heart is about relationships and romance, at the core, its more about yourself and your identity, having a soul. That's what Astarion is struggling with, the freedom to be a person and not a puppet, knowing what he wants rather than following through the motions. But it's also about the way he uses relationships and sex as part of that.

Plus, a Rogue is someone who invites the theft of their aspect rather than more directly stealing it - Astarion is the tool by which thousands of souls were (almost) stolen. But his journey isn't to continue that and steal souls, its to become his true, unambiguous weird af little self.

Wyll is a knight. He's the knightiest knight ever to knight.

Because he's a fairytale hero, yes; you could try and tie him into the noble/prince archetype, but there's a reason his background is Folk Hero even though his father's the Duke. Wyll isn't just a fighter, he's a hero. And he's also hiding so much. Every member of the party hides stuff, but what Wyll hides isn't (just) his warlock pact. Wyll hides behind the persona of the Blade of Frontiers to cover for the fact that he is at some level still the kid who's father exiled him from home. Who failed to live up to his dreams of being a hero and is now damned to the hells.

Wyll is also such a hope-aspect player. It's about fairy tales and magic and optimism and unconditional love and everything that makes him into that romantic hero, a bit naive but also blindingly full of faith. So, as a Knight, he is fronting this, because he is so Hopeful, to hide the fact that he thinks a failure because he can't live up to those ideals his father set out for him.

He can, though. Because Knights think they're failures, and they're wrong. As the Grand Duke, he's an inspirational figure to the masses; as the Blade, he is the light of hope that cleaves through the hells. He is the hero, and he is good enough. He just needs to accept it.

Lae'zel is easy to archetype - she is a warrior through and through, which gives us Knight and Page. Knights are the passive class, and are best known for putting up masks and hiding their real feelings, while Pages are the active, starting lacking in their aspect and growing to meet it in full. Lae'zel is a very driven, active character, but I think her arc is very much about that growth, questioning what she was raised in and finding strength

Thematically, she has the space-alien vibes, as well as an intense martial nature and interest in combat. I think Blood is an interesting one, because it has an association with violence, but it is fundamentally about connection, the ties to your allies and compassion. Lae'zel

Life is also an interesting angle to go here, with its association with both growth and rebellion, but the tie to wealth and power doens't seem fitting. I am tempted to find a space connection, in specifically something she grows into by the end of the game, but that feels really pushing it. Blood helps emphasize her sense of isolation, growing to make friends. This Lae'zel is the exact sort of leader who can take down Vlaakith's empire.

Shadowheart is such a Void/Light character, and I will not be taking questions. Secrets, knowledge, Shar/Selune? That aspect is down.

For her archetype, I think there's a lot of overlap between the Prophet/Scholar, Magician and Fairy groupings, but Magician is definitely where I'm leaning to - that gives us Witch as the active, and Heir as the passive. I'd say that overall Shadowheart is a fairly passive character, not that she doesn't make choices but that she's more reactive; she's a healer, after all.

With everything with Shar, I think that its reasonable to read Shadowheart as someone who is inverted for most of the game, having been molded in Shar's image. Taking Light as her innate aspect and Void as the inverse, that gives us the Heir of Light inverting to the Mage of Void. Mages are fundamentally about suffering, and that's what Shadowheart is, down to the chronic pain. For a true mage, it's more about experiencing it through unique perspectives and learning, but since this is something forced upon her, I think its more about the pain. In turn, as Heir of Light, she's naturally powerful, but in equal parts suspicious and easy to manipulate.

There are a lot of jokes around the Light aspect - it being the canon Lesbians aspect, it being the canon Main Character aspect (and Shadowheart is the one companion you cant skip) and, of course it being the luck aspect, and her notoriously bad to hit chance.

So, Gale's another more difficult one to parse because I think there's definitely some inversion going on here, or at least, he's bouncing between the Seer-Mage-Witch-Heir grouping, which tends to be the tightest and most overlapping.

Knowledge is tied with Light, but while he's a nerd that doesn't need to be his aspect. Doom is very indicative of the bomb in his chest, and there's something with Life/God of Ambition, but I'm actually leaning more to Time/Space.

Time is, after all, the aspect of destruction to Space's creation, and I think there's something interesting there. Space isn't as directly about ambition, but I think the destiny angle can tie into some of Gale's stuff.

Similar to Shadowheart, I think there's something interesting about the Heir/Mage dynamic. Gale as Heir of Space is very much a magic prodigy - magic to him is much more art than science, with his demonstration of the Weave and ending up as an illusion professor. In turn, the Mage of Time is suffering from destruction and from destiny - running out of time - and Time is the aspect that in Homestuck traditionally ends the universe, which is very much the Orb.

And Karlach. I'll be honest, I really struggled with Karlach, but after doing Gale, I think that with her similar situation of 'think in my chest that is going to kill me' is interesting, but while Gale has a massive world-ending threat, Karlach's is more personal, and also more fiery, which is very Doom. The inverse of Doom is Life, which is the exuberant joy that I'd expect from Karlach.

Alternatively, I think there's a Hope/Rage read - with Hope also having that bright exterior, and Rage being a very Barbarian trait, but to be honest I think being stuck on Rage is what made this so difficult, because Rage is a lot more anti-establishment and skepticism, which is a harder fit into Karlach.

Class wise, Karlach pretty much just lines up with warrior, but while I think there's definitely stuff she's hiding, I don't know if I can fully read her as a Knight. Page is also interesting, because she doesn't feel like she's lacking in anything - so maybe the destructive classes, Prince/Bard - but ehhh. But there's an interesting read if we take her as a Page of Life.

Life is that literal healing, positivity, growth, but it's also very much about power and wealth. In Homestuck, the three life aspect characters are literal royalty, and from that lens, Karlach's pretty clearly an underdog. In this case, her story actually starts with Gortash - when she's a young kid who, like pages so often are, wants power/wealth/respect and falls in with a bad crowd hoping to get it. All that Life exuberance, and

I don't think there's a case of a full inversion, but I do think there's a tie to her going down the wrong (criminal) path leading to the Rogue of Doom, and being the vehicle of theft and destruction as a soldier. Straight on, Rogue of Doom is a very martyr class, something I think Karlach can lean into in her darker moments, having accepted her death, whereas the Page of Life is what drives her to keep living, keep growing, and become even more badass than she already is.

For the lunar sway, Prospit tends to be the extroverts, the optimists, the messy, honest people, while Derse has the introverts, the pessimists, the intellectuals, the rebellious and the hiding-behind-masks.

Karlach is an easy Prospit, while Astarion and Shadowheart are easy Derse (okay, there's an argument about Shadowheart and the inversion thing but Selunites may be light, but they're moonlight, illusions and trickery). The others I'm more torn on, and to be honest, the tiebreaker is going to go for making an order, since Derse and Prospit dreamers

Lae'zel is on Prospit because I will not let go of the image of Lae'zel fuming at her computer while Shadowheart deliberately ignores her. She also fits with her being very blunt and open. That gives Gale and Wyll, and I am more 50-50, but I like the idea of Karlach being a very chaotic host to Gale who actually knows the rules, and to put Wyll and Astarion next to each other for funsies. That gives us, not paying attention to the order (although, it would depend on the fic for who would actually start the cycle)

Lae'zel -> Shadowheart ->  Karlach -> Gale -> Wyll -> Astarion

So that gives us a party of:

Page of Blood

Heir of Light (Mage of Void)

Page of Life

Heir of Space (Mage of Time)

Knight of Hope

Rogue of Heart

two pages and two heirs is a lot, lol, but at least they have a space player, so the session isn't void!

Oh how the tables have turned; but history still repeats itself!

It's so wild how with Loustat, Les was the one pretending to be a regular human, in his awkward frumpy clothes; while Lou was struggling to hold on to his high class status during their bidding war over Miss Lily ("admiration and emasculation"). But with Loumand, Louis' the one tryna pass as a regular human in his layman clothes, while Armand "masquerades" as Gentleman Death.

Both times, Lou has to contend with the power imbalances of two overpowered vampires outclassing him over & over again. But while Lou was hostile & offended by Les; he's scared & meek with Armand.

He's been humbled & broken down so much, and he knows firsthand what older/ancient vampires are capable of--

--esp. since Armand confronted Louis intending to threaten him (b4 he realized how pretty Lou was and changed his mind, LOL).

But I do wonder how Louis sensed his "ancient power" exactly? Other than Claudia he's only been around Les & Daciana; so how could he tell? (I bet Daciana's as old Armand.) This was something that always irked me in the books, cuz TWMBK weren't sensed by Lestat until Marius brought him right up to them. Is it cuz Les was too young, or TWMBK just didn't bother projecting their presence to anyone?

Cuz we know Armand was always sending out signals with his Mind Gift (but he's a pro at it, ofc).

Sometimes it seems humans can sense the undead better than the undead can; they can just tell something's OFF.

But I'm just curious exactly what Louis was feeling from Arma--oh wait!

The first character you loved:

Inuyasha: Kagome. I immediately adored her from the start. I adored her sassiness and spunk, and even though she was confused on what her role was in the feudal era, she never hesitated to help others and stay strong. That’s my queen.

Supernatural: Sam Winchester. It broke my heart how so much shit went wrong for him… First his mother dies when he was only a couple months old, then his girlfriend. He’s such a precious character that I will always protect at all costs.

Pokemon: Misty. I remember when I was like 6 or something I loved Misty so much because of her love for her pokemon and how she was basically the only main female protagonist in the show and she was so determined to beat Ash and prove her sisters wrong. She is the reason why water pokemon are my favs. 

The character you never expected to love so much:

Inuyasha: Inuyasha. I know a majority of us had to had thought that he was an asshole, especially to Kagome. Whenever he would make rude remarks to her I really wanted to punch my TV. But lord that is my precious hanyou baby boy. My favorite pupper. The way he genuinely loves Kagome and would do anything to protect/save her, as well as for his friends, physically melts my heart. His character development honestly might’ve been the most beautiful one I have ever seen. I love my king. 

Supernatural: Meg. Of course everyone would hate her bc she was a damn demon and when she was first introduced she fcked Sammy over so I was like oh hell no but then when she comes back in another body, she changes and helps out the Winchesters, adores Castiel, and ultimately dies bc she was protecting them. I was sooooooo heartbroken when she died goddamn

Pokemon: James (Team Rocket). Again, he’s the “villian” so obviously being a 6 yr old or whatever I’d naturally hate him, but that one episode where James goes back home and tells his story about his family and growlithe…. That really hit me HARD. My heart hurt so bad for him. 

The character you relate to the most:

Inuyasha: Kagome. dude. Choosing to stay by the side of the love of your life, despite him having leftover feelings for his (own) first love because you love him so damn much and want experience anything and everything with him no matter what. That’s actually kind of my life???? And she taught me so much gurl she is my role model jfc.

Supernatural: Castiel. My poor, sweet angel disobeyed heaven and God and literally just about everyone just to protect his beloved Winchesters (((especially his love Dean))) He’s felt so lost in the world and ran away after feeling like he disappointed Sam and Dean. He acts out on love - literally ME. And plus he is the Angel of Thursday, and I was born on a Thursday :-) 

Pokemon: Ash Ketchum. All he wanted to do was be the very best and fell in love with his bff (Misty)…. I have no further explanation.

Inuyasha: Hakadoshi. Pissed. me. off. every. single. time.

Supernatural: Azaziel.  F u. ok. Nothing cool about u and you ruined my Winchester boys so fu

Inuyasha: Naraku. Tbh in the beginning I thought he was really cool and interesting especially when it was revealed that he was also a hanyou like????? who just loved Kikyo as much as Inuyasha like?!?!?!!???? but then towards the end he got really annoying and just yeah. I still got an amount of love him tho.

Supernatural: Hannah. When she was first working with Cas and they started getting close i was like yes!!! ok!!! I like it!!! Because finally another angel accepted him and didn’t hate him enough to kill him but then, if my memory serves correctly, she betrayed him so therefore SNIP SNIP she out

Pokemon: Tracy. As Brock’s replacement, I didn’t accept him when I was 6 and I certainly do not accept him now. I thought he was alright at first but there was just so spunk from him like Brock

Inuyasha: Kagura. I hated her. I specifically remember watching the first few episodes she appeared in and I would literally roll my eyes and suck my teeth and say, “This damn bitch” LMAO. But I love her to death for reasons I really don’t even know, all she wanted was freedom and trust and love from Sesshomaru-sama!!!!! ;____;  

Supernatural: Rowena. I thought she was super annoying and just literally a bitch but the girl’s got sass and charisma and even when Lucifer killed her, she still managed to come back to life like helllllllllllll yea you go girl

Pokemon: Brock. When he first joined Ash and Misty I was like ehhhhhh…….?????? But then he started adding much more personality to the trio and his love for all the Nurse Joys and Officer Jennys was sooo funny to me. Especially when both him and Ash lusted over a girl then Misty would get jealous ((bc of ASH)) like that all gave me life… as a 6 yr old and now

Hello! Sometimes I see you post stuff from IF blogs and I've recently started playing some IF games, which I've enjoyed so far. Do you have any IF stories you'd recommend in particular? I'm not attached to any particular genre and I don't need romance or a self-insert main character, (though I'm not opposed to either). Though, it's a definite plus if it's LGBTQ+ inclusive! I'm not really sure what the "cornerstones" are of IF so I'll take any and all recommendations haha

Oh god, I play so many IFs. So many. And it’s not even close to all of them, but I’m trying!!

Tbh IFs without romance seems to be very rare, I think because when I think IF I think Choice of Games, and those pretty much always have romance in them. At least, the most well known ones do. But a well done one without romance would be nice too!

Okay, this is a list of my favourites! They’re all LGBT+ inclusive, and most have gender selectable love interests, or at least ones that change gender depending on the gender and sexuality combination you pick. In no particular order, of course.  Behind a cut because I’m gonna give them each a mini review. Because I haven’t done that yet.

Mind Blind: I absolutely love our big brother Nick, I love how witty and sharp so much of the dialogue is, I love how the MC clearly has a rather large handicap, but is still such an important person to so many people and not looked down on in the slightest. And when they are, we all know it’s because that person is a jerk! They’re not defined by what they aren’t, but what they are, and that’s a great message.

Shepherds of Haven: Part of why I love this one so much is I just love fantasy settings and this one just pulls it off so well. The cast is full of amazing characters, and I gotta say I die inside pretty regularly for not being able to afford the patreon content, lol. The author puts so much amazing stuff on there, and gives us so much great content in the game and through answers on tumblr, and you can tell this whole thing is just the best thing ever to them, and that makes it the best ever for us readers too!

The Wayhaven Chronicles: I’d be shot if I didn’t mention this one, the series that literally killed dashingdon when the book 3 demo dropped!! Again, another author that cares a lot and does their best to do right by their fans. We’ve been given drip after drip of these amazing characters backstories, and I just cannot wait for more! It’s definitely very romance centered, but the overall plotlines are also very good, and I have to say that no matter who I romance, I just feel like the group as a whole is a family. And that’s wonderful.

Speaker: I really like the lore. I really like the lore. I can’t wait until we get more of the overall plotline. Mostly I want my Speaker to get in deep trouble so Seb, Li and Seer (best sister ever) go off and beat the shit out of whatever is causing it. This probably says something about me, but what can I say, I thrive on angst and inflicting near death injuries on my OCs. Sometimes I even kill them, although all of this is offtopic. Or is it? I guess we’ll find out, although I doubt we’ll actually be able to kill off Speaker. And yes, I am definitely playing the Seb & Li poly route. I love them both so much. 

Wilhelmina: I love vampires, ok? Ok? And this one is based off Dracula!! The OG!! And you can choose Drac’s gender!! Shit, sign me up forever!! Yeah, she might be literally killing my bff, torturing my fiancé and low key fucking with my mind, but vampires are hot!! Let me live! Or not. But yeah, this is a really well done retelling of the Dracula novel and I like how well it works as an IF. Did I mention I like vampires?? Especially when they get all monstery?? (This one has an MC with a set gender, as it’s based on an already existing literary figure. Mina can have a same sex relationship with dracula, if you make drac a female, or with Lucy, a female love interest.)

More Things in Heaven and Earth: Hi Nell!! First off, I gotta uncover a deep shame of mine. My family literally has a Shakespeare heirloom collection. As in, my greatgrandfather passed down through the family a collection of Shakespeare that was published in 1911. In ye olde englishe. I tried to read it when I was like 10 and was like what language is this?? What the fuck? What the fuck??? And ended up reading As You Like It, a bit of Romeo and Juliet, and a little of Hamlet. Didn’t touch the rest of it. I only got into the other stories through trashy ya reimaginings. That said, this retelling of Hamlet inspired me to go read the whole of the original and now I have a lot of fears for these characters that I’m so much more attached to, oh god I hope my Ophelia has a happy ending. I hope Hamlet himself has a happy ending. The dialogue is so well done, everyone is engaging, and yeah it made me finish an old af book when nothing else did. (This one also has an MC with a set gender, female, for the same reason. However, there are two gender variable love interests, so you can very much play a bi or gay Ophelia if you so choose.)

Guenevere: I love King Arthur. All the myths. I have so many books based on the King Arthur mythos, oh dear god. I love pretty much every version of it. All the movie and tv shows too! I just can’t get enough of those knights. I could go on for paragraphs about how courtly love worked and how all the different social castes were, but I’ll try not to. This series lets you customize Guen as a character to an amazing degree, considering that she’s also based on an actual literary figure like the other two I mentioned above. It really feels like she becomes your own character, and yet she still exists within this world very very well. I worry quite a bit that the author might have bit off more than they can chew with the current book they’re working on, what I’ve seen of it looks absolutely massive in scale. What is out so far is a wonderful read though, full of drama and laughter and lots of chances to make the story your own.

Bastard of Camelot: Yep! Another King Arthur series! Sue me! This one lets you set Mordred’s gender though, so it’s more inclusive in that way. It is very interesting to play as one of the “bad guys” of the King Arthur mythos. You can play them as straight up evil, as good, or you know, a bit of column a and a bit of column b. Or they can just be a rude little shit. It’s got dragons too! You get a dragon pet! Dragons are cool. It can be a bit tough to play sometimes, since a lot of people dislike Mordred quite a lot because of prejudices. Hopefully this will change a bit later in the series if you’ve been a fairly good person up to that point. Gotta say though, as a warning, that Mordred is a product of incest. It’s not glossed over, and it does cause a lot of problems for them in the story.

God of the Red Mountain: I just love that this inspired me to read more chinese mythology tbh. There is just so much here! And it’s just such a good read. I wish I was better at describing things. The MC being a spirit that you can define, the whole setting, most of the love interests also being spirits, the massive amount of history and culture and lore, how it all fits together. It is such a well done story. I really wish it got more attention than it does. I still miss Big Sister. I still can’t wait to find out more about the foxes, and how we can heal our MC.

The Nameless: Another one that lets you play as something otherworldly. I love the lore behind this one, and I love all of the cast I’ve met. I kind of like that our MC isn’t loved right off the bat, that we’ll have to win over all of our love interests and even the other npcs. I’m up for the challenge! Everything I’ve read on the tumblr for these characters just makes me love them all more tbh. I love how much they’ve written for all of them! Most of all though, I love Oisein. All the art of them is just *chef kiss* and their personality is magical.

A Mage Reborn: This is a really recent one but!! Wow, it’s really well done! That cliffhanger!! Oof!! Not many books literally start with killing your MC off! That takes guts! I told the author this already, but I love the way they formatted this, the way it starts with the end, so to speak, and then fills it all out. It just made everything feel so poignant, how MC is literally looking back at all these moments in time in the last minutes they have before they die. Shit. That’s powerful. And there’s gonna be more??? Can’t wait for that angst. Give me that drama. Of course I picked the one who had me killed, that’s just how I am!

These are all just the COG type games, there are a few twine games with graphics I’d throw on here, but the list is long enough as it is and they feel like they’re in a different category to me. Maybe it’s just me?

Ok so, got a ask from @matronofthevoid for the ask thingie I am doing, where she asked what my skeleton boys would be dressed up for Halloween, and I got hella lot of boys and this is hella long so decided to make a separate post with it yes xD 

I am skipping the seafell and seaswapfell bros, also the genderbent versions of them seaswap boys aka Bon and Nessie, as I srsly dunno what they would be pft, but let’s see...

Swap bros: Stretch I can’t say as that will be spoilers for the Halloween pic I got pft, but his bro Berry totally a sexy fireman just because he can, he gotta be matching his bro because that’s the way they roll.

UT bros: know this has been done before but Sans is dressed in a suit with a note stuck onto his chest with the word apology on it, yes he is a formal apology and Puffy if you read this yes this is inspired by your pic from ages ago. Papyrus is dressed up as Mettaton obviously, his box form that is, which he has worked weeks on perfecting! He technically could had just went with his old armor since that was a old costume he made before reaching the surface, but since he worn it so much it was time for a change, and what better than his favourite sexy rectangle?

Fell bros: Edge, if he isn’t too busy, which he might be unless someone drags him away from his work, is dressed up as Gomez Addams, there is no other costume he could possibly wear. Red is a lazy helicopter tomato who don’t really do the whole dressing up shit, so he will just put a pair of devils horns on his head and call it a day.  

SF bros: Scratch has worked like a mad lad on his costume, it is all made from... well scratch, and he has worked on it for literal weeks, a fancy af gothic vampire with a fluffy skirt, lace, buttons, ribbons, so many details, got like claw gauntlets and everything, it looks like some sort of cosplay with how detailed it is but it’s just a costume and he is very proud of it. Rus is dressed up as a literal trashbag, he just got a stinky old paper bag from the trash and poked some holes in it, put it over his head like the trash he is. 

Seaswap bros: Pass is a ninja because it is ironic as fuck, because Pirates VS Ninjas baby. Boney is dressed as the painting “the girl with a pearl earring”, with his own little twist to the rest of the outfit since you can only see the top half of her body. 

3in1Tale aka G bros: you would think Fraktur would dress up as Dr. Frankenstein since he is a mad scientist just like him, but no, Dr. Frankenstein is a sniveling little piss baby, the creature on the other hand, now that’s where the good stuff is, so yes he is dressed up as “Frankensteins monster”, though mixed with a scientist bc he can’t let go off his mad scientist aesthetic. Gans is dressed like that meme the “how do you do fellow kids” one, not on purpose though he was aiming for a skater because skating is cool, it’s hip, sadly he can’t skate to save his life.

SF KH/Purple bros: Mauve is too busy been aggressive and feral to dress up, dressing up in costumes and such things are beneath him. Cash dresses up as a drug dealer.... which he already is, he is technically not dressing up at all he is genuinely just been himself but “pretending” to be selling drugs, that might be real, is probably real, by opening his hoodie and be all “wanna buy some drugs?”. Their underground to start with isn’t much up to celebrating these sort of occasions.  

MessedUpTale bros: Pop is dressed up as a proper knight, using one of his old armours he used to use back before he ended up underground several hundreds of years ago. Tycoon or just Ty for short, well he is a king so he just switches out his crown for a burger king crown, at first at least, with the help of Pop and some of their friends they end up changing his costume into a literal grandpa, with a beard and everything, because he likes to joke that he is one, so why not dress up as one.  

Underlöst bros: Velvet is dressed up as Lady Gaga from the BLACKPINK music video Sour Candy, the black one with straps and like buckles, with a blonde wig and everything, as BLACKPINK is his fave band and he loves Lady Gaga. Bin couldn’t be bothered to put any sort of effort into any sort of costume, so Velvet had to do it for him, so he dresses him up as a wizard, but a sexy one, sort of, Bin is not really working it like Velvet had hoped but it will do.  

Easeswap bros: Mello is dressed as a cute and very comfy bat, but it’s also like sexy it’s like kinda like a massive hoodie rather that gets cut off at the knees, kinda like a hoodie dress, with bat hears and wings as the hoodie arms, he is very cozy in it. Dex is dressed as a werewolf, as it was the best and simplest thing he could get his hands on, but also like sexy. 

Fellswap Gold bros: Vin sadly did not have time to dress up or even celebrating Halloween whatsoever, his job is extremely demanding and he rarely got any free time, but if he had gotten a chance he would had dressed up as a old time gentleman. Mocha is a bit too socially inept and anxious to go out and celebrate, but his fave online multiplayer game, he dressed his character up as a punkish pumpkin man. 

Easefell bros: Thyme procrastinated af on his costume, so he ended up having to buy something simple to dress up as, and ended up as Raphael from TMNT, it’s kinda shitty and bad quality but it works. Pepper haven’t really gotten a chance to dress up properly before, yes he have once or twice dressed up for parties when he was more in his teen years but they used to be like not that good and... very slutty. He was tempted to just go with a pair of bunny ears and call it a day as he don’t have time for this, but ends up going with something more proper anyway, and dresses up as Sandy from Grease, the black outfit she wears at the end.

ok hades is like super cliche and he just goes as the grim reaper. his costume is REALLY well made though and he uses his aura to pull the shadows of a room to him, or to make lights go out as he walks down the street, and it makes everything colder which just really sells the creep factor

alex is a knight, complete with sword and shield and everything! in private, just for mc, they’ll summon their aura and mount the stag, and mc gets a REALLY good picture and it gets even better when she lets her aura join alex’s to make armor for the stag

medusa goes as a dragon, and goes through the meticulous trouble of painting on individual scales over her face and arms. she goes all out w fancy contacts to change her eyes and the actual costume part has wings and a hood w horns and stuff and she looks awesome af and so many people compliment her on it.

hydra puts on a cheap pair of plastic devil horns and calls it good. he MIGHT have the tail and pitchfork too, but he’ll only wear them if mc presses it

cerberus takes inspiration from his aura and myth, and gets two fake dog heads that hang across his shoulders alongside a dog mask for himself plus a tail and he was going for scary but utterly failed and it’s just a REALLY cute costume

chimera...... chimera dresses up in a giant hotdog suit. that’s it. he’s a hot dog. mc thinks it’s fucking hilarious.

astraeus doesn’t understand halloween really but he’d make a very sexy vampire. he barely has to change a thing, mc just gets him a pair of really good fangs and helps him put them on and calls it good

Poptropica Island Ratings

okay I saw a post on here a while ago and someone rated the Poptropica islands. I remember agreeing with a lot of them, but they only went so far so a lot of the newer islands were missed out. I came across it again recently and got hit by a wave of nostalgia so I’m gonna do my own now. Unoriginal content very good. i’ll put a keep reading link to stop it from taking up too much space

Early Poptropica - mega nostalgia but kinda boring. I like the original Poptropicans being pixely and there is a goth gf in the sewers however the giant green spider scared the shit out of me as a kid and the idea of an aircraft graveyard made me sad so 6/10

Shark Tooth Island - also nostalgic but I didn’t complete it for a long time for some reason.. very short. it has a story but its there is nasty shark and people stuck on an island so make a calming potion. the medicine man looks like he is from viva pinata so 6/10

Time Tangled Island - VERY GOOD AND FUN AND HISTORICAL FUCK THAT AZTEC THO DICKHEAD. quite lengthy for an island but this is good because that means more time periods to explore. it’s also educational but i just care about restoring time. very legendary the iconic just jumped out - 10/10

24 Carrot Island - stupid pun point taken off. introduces Dr Hare and people are THIRSTY. you can dye your hair with milkshakes. i thought it was creepy as a kid honestly. i think its mind control or something. but i like it, it still has nostalgia value 8/10

Super Power Island - very legend like. i loooove the antagonists, especially copy cat but i think i had to look up a guide to beat her because i was dumb af. you need a licence to be a superhero but you are a superhero!!! very fun i like this one a lot 10/10

Spy Island - i remember sucking at this one as well as a kid.  i think it fucks with peoples hair and i only remember because my character looks fresh 100% of the time and this island fucked it up i think. i don't really remember it tho. 5/10

Nabooti Island - it’s based on a Choose Your Own Adventure book so good premise. go around the world is also good. you have to get jewels i think. ngl i didn’t finish this one because i sucked at it so i’m just going off the wiki and how far i got into it. fuck the animal puzzle 7/10

Big Nate Island - who the fuck is Big Nate. i only remember the school climbing frame and a stink bomb. fuck you big nate we don’t have your comics in England 1/10

Astro-Knights Island - medieval knights.... IN SPACE?!?! COUNT ME IN. crazy jester bard guy antagonist. people are thirsty for him too. i’m pretty sure you end up in another dimension or something. cyborgs and shit 9/10

Counterfeit Island - bruh i loved this island. pretty sure antagonist is also making people thirsty. you have to go back to Early Poptropica Island to complete it, very cool. investigating crime is cool idea it’s l.a. noire in poptropica. the wiki says there is a glitch called anti-social clown and i have to say relatable 9/10

Reality TV Island - i think i completed this like twice and i remember jackshit. you get to see past characters tho so very good. it’s just doing challenges. 4/10

Mythology Island - VERY GOOD. LEARN ABOUT MYTHOLOGY. you can fight hydra and other creatures, you meet Zeus you meet Hades, Aphrodite is a bitch. 9/10

Skullduggery Island - pirates are always good no matter what. apparently it is one of the hardest islands which explains why i never completed it but you fight other pirates and sea monsters for doubloons or some shit sounds cool to me 8/10

Steamworks Island - steampunk is good. i remember completing this and thinking it was interesting and weird to look at. i think the atmosphere is was lonely tho. there’s a boss battle against a plant i think. otherwise i don’t fuckin remember 7/10

Great Pumpkin Island - it’s Peanuts so it’s nice. very nice and simple. it’s just about the great pumpkin except you’re there. 6/10

Cryptids Island - GOD TIER. CRYPTIDS IS SUCH A GOOD IDEA. some of it is scary tho. the jersey devil just fucking staring at you from the window was a shit the bed moment for a kids game. also before the islands got rebooted, it was one of the only islands to have sound effects, i.e. when the chupacabra bursts out the box. honestly because of the balls on this kids game to scare children and also being good island 10/10

Shrink Ray Island - cool premise but this island expects me to learn morse code 3/10

Vampire’s Curse Island - i reaaaally like this one. i like vampires. it has a vampire daddy in it so. he kidnaps a teenage girl tho because he thinks its the love of his life who is dead. kinda weird. he does stop being insane at the end tho and says sorry and dies. the girls bf is a dickhead tho. 9/10

Twisted Thicket Island - i think you’re saving a forest from becoming housing. i really like it because it introduces various folkloric creatures like the nokken. i only remember the nokken because i went on akinator to see if he knew what it was and i don’t think he did so i added it and it’s photo to his database. or maybe it was just his photo but i remember uploading something to akinator. 8/10

Greek Sea Odyssey - more ancient greece is always good. you get to beat the shit out of zeus this time 8/10

Writing

I’m not too big on proper grammar or sentence structure as long as there was an idea getting across. I’m ok with role playing as many people as you’d like to actively work on, so doubles, and even triples are okay. Plus working two different stories is fun! I do prefer paragraphing and we all know the feeling of one word responses. This is a hobby and creative outlet from myself so that’s why I have no big stressors about punctuation or spelling.

Counterpart pathways

A magical filled fantasy realm where all is possible including the bad. One summer day a incubus/demon hybrid named Jona, father of three, learns someone has kidnapped all three of his boys! He's on the hunt for clues and finding them at all costs. Gathering the best crew possible of Moof the best wolf bounty hunter in all the realm, Bell the boys spider caretaker shapeshifter, and Glover the bull/bison hybrid the green alchemist, set off to find the children. Along the way by gathering clues they encounter obstacles and trials of skill and pursuit! Will they ever find the three octopus babies ? Will Jona have closure and put on a shirt? Will Bell ever stop stealing everything shiny? Will Moof grow more confident in his teammates? Will Glover not stop shaking and being such a wuss? Who will help this odd 4 on their epic abnormal quest?!

Puddles

A time traveler that gets stuck in between dimensions due to their powers temporarily weakened from the extensive work they've been doing end up meeting a stranger who takes them in. Not used to the timeline they shows up in, they have to knowledge of normal behavior. They must figure out a way to recharge their abilities but has not of the slightly clue as to what it causing them to have lost them in the first place. Is the person that's helping them good or evil? Who's side are they on? How will they figure them out? Why do they find the stranger oddly familiar?

When men become mortal

An alien/robot/human species that survives by using different masks/chips for various occasions.

It's like buying different clothes but they adapt or transform the hoist for a month or less of another body/form/identity.

The main character experiences a technical difficulty where their head socket cannot adapt to a new face for long and has to get it repaired. Though along the way he seems to find that not wearing a false identity they actually enjoy seeing the outside world with no expectation of appearance.

The other is a identity artist, the one whom develops different faces and identity. He spends hours tweaking details of bodies and faces. He always has the nicest things because of his work and from important commissions and work for certain clients.

They meet at a gallery that the artist is hoisting at a museum. The individuals there are decorated like some of the model pieces and others artist curators-part sellers.

The faceless one decides to go to the museum to see what's or who's being showcased and since he has a little bit of extra money he saved up for the occasion. Everyone finds him interesting since he doesn't have an appearance, they think he's a model. Thus they send him to meet with the artist for the show.

The artist doesn't know him at all. They find eachother very different but most parts similar. From their meeting the artist gets inspired by his original face. Coming to realize that even himself that he has given into the world he never wanted to.

The two of them hit it off. Both dwelling into the matters of the "perfect" vessel. Asking the serious questions such as what makes a body, a face, a soul attractive? They go on for hours and it starts to inspire the artists work into his new resorted craftsmanship. The faceless impressed by the purposed questions and also work. The artist informs the robot that the hybrids (the children of the robot-species, generations of offspring) are the real threat to society. The one who hoists and is in charge of the power sorce is human and machine. The first of its kind, and also the previous mentor of the artist/ex-scientist.

Who will get to the power source first. Our main dynamic couple or the robotic uprising that believe all humans should cease to exist once and for all?

The city was a work in process for a resort city, and a major violent storm came too early taking out some of the fancier parts of the island. Most of the higher end houses and mansions were believed to be damaged in the outer edges of the island. There had been a castle built as a main part of the hotel/resort. Old costumes, sets, mascots were left to rot by the seas breeze. Barnacles, ivy, and vines with exotic flora and fauna growing wildly cover the buildings. Possibly even growing in the mansion and other houses. The main part of the biker gang is in a abandoned church next to the sea caves is where the biker gang mostly resides and work primarily as hit men and women. The island would be decided by the two head family of vampires one powerful family versus the other in over control if the current situation of resort in the actual tourist location.

A rambunctious gang of young cryptics disguise themselves as human during the daytime but during the night it's quite the time to be alive and young.

Minhyuk - speaks to everyone literally EVERYONE! Even the 2 month old baby a cousin just had and especially the baby another cousin is expecting, compliments the food numerous times and it makes grandma and aunts all happy and giddy bc he eats extremely well, jokes w the uncles and cousins and has them all laughing to the point of tears, pulls out paper?? And... crayons?????? Out of nowhere and starts doodling at a table w all the little ones he asks them to draw him whales and says he’ll keep them and hang them up somewhere, the kids go wild, u turn to look where he’s at and see him in the distance suddenly taking off his shoes and getting on a trampoline u let him jump for a while before u go over he’s got a big smile on his face that turns huge when he sees the kids running over to jump w him, at the end he packs himself his own plate of leftovers and eats it as he says his goodbyes

Kihyun - shy, courteous, polite and a bit awkward but nothing wrong w that, grandma starts blushing as kihyun compliments her outfit her house just a bunch of compliments, the aunts stay quiet carefully watching his next move bc oh he smooth, the uncles are playing some card game and he joins and loses like $30 he’s not too happy about that but the uncles have a blast seeing his seriously upset face they go all in or nothing for the last game and he somehow ends up winning the uncles look at him like ok u bluff... u bluff good son... our respect, loves babies!!! All the babies!! He sees ur cousin w the 2 month old and before u can even finish asking if he wants to carry the baby he says yes and spends a good while cradling it, ur cousin gives u a certain look and u look away, tries to get the dog to love him by giving food under the table the dog eats it but runs away, he doesn’t ask for leftovers but gratefully takes them when they’re handed to him, he eats them the next day

Hyungwon - immediately shocks everyone the second they see him... he doesn’t look real?? A cousin who u used to binge watch anime w shoots u a text asking where u met zero from vampire knight u flick them off and laugh, sits quietly but politely and keenly answers all questions being thrown at him from every which way some aunts some kids some cousins an uncle here and there u take him away for a few minutes bc the questions ain’t stopping, charms everyone and smiles at anyone he meets eyes w, doesn’t socialize w the kids much but will pat a head when one comes to ask him another question, uncles and cousins start talking about a potential soccer match and u tell them he used to play and then next thing u know he’s starting as a right back on ur cousins team (they win), he didn’t eat much but u pack him some leftovers just in case, he eats bits and pieces the next day

Jooheon - adored by everyone immediately, grandmas got the cheek pinchers (fingers) out, nicknamed “honey” ofc, dozens of dimple compliments he smiles wider for *effect* and aunts are practically cooing, grandma aunts and cousins look at him w heart eyes as he eats so well and cutely, cousins can see the duality come out every once in a while, they are shocked, sees uncles and cousins drinking at another table he grabs a beer and goes to join them every once in a while the group lets out big laughs over something he said, u hear some sudden noises u go see and it’s him teaching cousins and kids how to beat box while jumping on a trampoline??? Backstory: 

Ada didn’t had the easiest start in life. Born to simple farm folk who never really wanted her, in a time of knights and holy wars when a woman’s sole purpose was considered marriage and children.  

She had never been that kind of girl. One of her earliest memories being a time she had tried to go out training with the boys only to be dragged back to their homestead to help her mother cook.

Her father drank a lot, and was an incredibly abusive individual. It certainly wasn’t helped by the fact he was a self-riotously religious man, and Ada had been born with a defect. Her irises had taken on a purple hue from the day she had opened them; not enough to be obvious unless you truly looked, but he had deemed it a mark of the devil. 

Ada hadn’t seen it that way. Instead, growing to relish in her uniqueness. Like a physical manifestation of her defiance burned into her very soul, it meant she wasn’t born to be weak. 

It caused a great many fights with both her parents who weren’t exactly good people at the best of times, going to bed beaten and hungry more often than not.

The years that followed were no kinder, Ada haven all but given up until one night, were a chance encounter would change her life forever. 

She’d been following the well-trodden path home when she’d been ambushed.    

Having nothing of value to give the bandits, they’d settled for some other form of payment. 

She’d tried to fight them tooth and claw when she realised what was happening, unarmed so fighting dirty, their blood both under her nails on her lips by the time they’d got her to the ground. But they had her now, and they were angry...She’d grown up used to getting in fightings, it was probably the reason she’d lasted as long as she had, but there were just too many of them.      

Ada had been incredibly lucky that day. The men not having time to do much of anything before they were being flung off her with such a speed and force that it blurred together. She couldn’t even see what was causing it, but was pretty certain she heard bones crack as they hit trees. 

She’d jumped to her feet uncertain whether to expect the same fate, but the whole situation had her reeling, and she’d fallen to her knees again before being able to do anything about it.      

An eery quite followed suite, and by the time she’d caught her breath long enough to look up again -- she would have never been prepared for the sight that met her. 

It was a woman; beautiful, covered in blood dripping from her mouth and...glorious. Where most would have been terrified Ada only found herself awestruck. 

She’d briefly contemplated if this individual’s fangs were a defect as her eyes had been, and the words were out of her mouth before she realised what she was saying.      

The comment may have been idiotic, but it seemed to snap the woman out of whatever trance she had been in. A low chuckle leaving her lips instead going for Ada’s neck. 

They’d begun to talk, and she’d found this woman was a skilled assassin of all things, apparently it’s easy to do when no one ever sees you. Women certainly weren’t capable of such a thing; it made her work easy. 

By the end of the night they’d ended up in a contract of sorts. This woman would teach her some tricks of the trade in exchange for her blood whenever asked for.  

Ada was hardly innocent, and if meant gaining even a modicum of power over her own life then she would grab it with both hands. 

They met in that very same spot often after that. Three years of being taught certain tricks; where to nick so you could leave the scene before anyone would notice, what substances made for the least traceable poisons.

She’d also helped her get over how she originally reacted to pain, teaching her how to lean into it instead. It was good thing to have in one’s repertoire if she ever got caught and interrogated -- But she unwittingly developed a slight thing for it in the process though she’d be damed if she’d ever admit that, and while she’s 100% a sadist at heart, she does still have a small weakness for it on certain occasions. 

The addiction of a vampire bite was no small thing either, and Ada began to believe she might be in over head with this woman; until the night raiders ransacked her village.  

She’d been left for dead, convinced it was the end...and yet woke up with a new lease of life. 

The woman had turned her, their relationship no longer being a one way street it seemed.    

Ada stayed with her for a few centuries before they eventually branched off on their own, though they’re still incredibly close to this day. 

Over the years that followed, she quickly gained notoriety for her ability to complete with freelance kill contacts so efficiently, and eventually flagged on the vampire court’s radar --- In the end being taken into their employ of her own volition, more than happy to serve the species that had granted her freedom. 

It was during one of these contracts she met an insufferable fallen angel who happened to be after the same person. It turned into a weird game of cat and mouse trying to thwart each other’s attempts, and Ada’s not even certain who actually got the kill in the end, but they still argue about it to this day.  

She’s been working for the king and his inner court ever since, and is incredibly loyal to them. She takes pride in being good at her job, and has no qualms killing for them without question -- Her only hard line is children, but that particular request has never come up anyway...     

Personality: 

Ada keeps her true nature very lowkey and acts differently around most people aside from a select few. She’s very much the ‘look like an innocent flower but be the serpent under it’ type character, and incredibly manipulative when she wants to be. This is especially prominent in the fact that Ada’s gay af, but she has no qualms flirting with men when they’re prey or she needs something from them. 

She really does love the colour of her eyes and is glad they didn’t change when she was turned, but on a job she’ll usually experiment with different coloured contacts due to the uniqueness of such features. 

Additionally, Ada’s completely down with this notion of vampires coming out of hiding, believing them to be a superior species that shouldn’t have to bow down to mutts or mortals just because their precious guardian angels deem it so — She plans on doing whatever she can to help further that cause.            

Connections: 

I’m literally open to anything, but here are just a few thoughts: 

Enemies with benefits: Filled by Celine Dahl. These two HATE each other; like passion of a thousand suns hate. I mean, Ada isn’t always the calmest person at the best of times, but Celine can somehow PISS HER THE FUCK OFF MORE THAN ANYBODY ELSE IN THE HISTORY OF EVER. With that being said, there’s also this weird pull between them. It’s like all that anger and hatred and loathing spills over into everything they do -- but Ada kind of lives for it. They just try to get under each other’s skin in every way possible. They’ve even slipped up a few times and had some pretty intense hate sex because FUCK I HATE YOU SO GOD DAMN MUCH AND I REALLY WANT TO HURT YOU BUT YOU’RE ALSO REALLY HOT AND NOW MY HAND’S AROUND YOUR NECK AND YOUR STUPID FACE IS INCHES FROM MINE AND...screw it, i’m totally topping though don’t even try!!

Fuck buddies/booty calls 1/4: Rosalia Fuentes, TBA. Ada has nothing against sex workers and sees it as a reputable job like anything else, but like, girl is egotistic af and frankly sees the thought of paying for sex offensive of her skill set. These would basically just be her go-to people whenever she’s back in Amsterdam, and wants someone who’s just completely dtf from the moment they meet up rather than pursuing someone new.

Vampires with the same maker who she weirdly considers family despite hating the term: TBA. I just...love the idea of this? Like Umbrella Academy-esk sort of misfit family that would actually kill for each other.   

People who’s family members/loved ones she’s killed, not that they’d know it was actually her...Or if they do there’s no way to prove it: TBA. Just give me allll the angst!

Her favourite blood doll: TBA. Same as the fuck buddies connection, but already pretty addicted to being bitten. Ada doesn’t mind paying for this sort of thing as much, though this would be someone who doesn’t make her pay for it even if they work as one, or maybe that’s not even what they do for a living? Basically an individual Ada would consider making personally her’s if she was around more consistently and didn’t run the risk of having them in constant withdrawal mode.
