Oh god, the "pathological people pleaser" line was such a gut punch and so painfully relatable to me. Like, to the point where it is now a regular topic I'm working to unpack with my therapist! It is wild to me for someone to hear something like that and say "yep! That's a narcissist right there!" 😵‍💫

it’s the same kind of folks who took the line in Anti-Hero as an admission instead of her voicing her most intrusive thoughts clearly implying it’s NOT what she is but her insecurities are baiting her in her darkest moments. (Or another read, it’s her mocking the accusations lobbed against her like “yup I’m a narcissist that’s exactly why I do everything I do 🙄”.)
