1. What was the original thought that led to the creation of this character?

Don't look at me too hard, I'm spilling my secrets here 😶‍🌫️

Lydon has been kicking around for over a year on the F1 Amino community 😅 I was roleplaying with my friend and they thought it was unfair for them to play an OC while I was just a driver. And they insisted I make an OC! So, Lydon was made so we could be even 🤣

And Judas, was originally just some offhand comment because Lydon had beef with him after the first race for knocking him out of qualifying. Or something like that?? It's been awhile. All I know is he was a one sided rivalry, and Judas was a one off background character.

4. And reverse, which one of the four things (name, appearance, personality, role in story) did you struggle with the most?

JUDASSSS !! Everything about this man made me struggle. Unironically, Judas' original design looks very similar to Heath (@/sunsayrain308) with his hair style and face shape. Quite a jump his design took lmfao. Maybe I'll find that sketchbook sometime, but oh man, my art has improved so much since then. I don't want to see it ☠️

Lydon's lore, personality, role all basically fall into my lap. But I am always thinking about how they fit together.

I want them to be foils to each other. They reflect shared flaws, and show their differences as well. It took me so much time to decide who got what trait, and how they would display those traits. I want them to seem unique, and not just opposites. They still have to reasonably mesh together, and they always need an inevitable link between them.

12. Do you have a playlist for the character? What songs do you associate with them and why?

I might have a few 😅

I feel like I should say that I make playlists not on how the songs go together, but on how each song relates to the topic of the playlist!

These are my character playlists for Judas and Lydon. They are about the vibes of the characters! They are songs I listen to when trying to think about them as people.

LAM13 - Lydon in high energy, has that summer vibe!

MAD93 - Judas has a bit of a tense, growing frustration. He is also more full of himself.

MAD93 × LAM13 - This one is more about their older interactions with each other from 2022-2024, so I might make a new one to fit their current vibe 🤔

These two are what Lydon would have made for himself. Yes. He absolutely includes his own name in his mixes.

Lydon's banger beats - That is his playlist for doing most things! His go to when he's driving (in a regular car). He gets hyped, he sings, that ponytail is swinging, he gets into it 🤣

Lydon's midnight songs to cry (and rage) to - He absolutely made this curled up in his bed when Judas first dumped him.

I have an entire alternative timeline if Judas and Lydon never met! Pretty fun thing that I made during a night of insomnia

Lydon ends up as part of the U.S. army instead, as per his agreement. And Judas still ends up in F1, but there is not that hunger to win. He retires after 4 years of racing!

Lydon uh!! Yeah, pookie doesn't live the long life of an F1 driver, let's just say that !

Anyway, in their actual canon, this does come up a bit. Lydon always gets a bit uncomfortable when asked what he would do if he never became a driver.

He always shifts in his seat, adjusts his mic a bit. "Ah, well... I guess I would have joined my dad, you know."

I assume you mean the OCs from my pfp, sooo its ✨tangent time✨

(After typing out all this I’ve realised it’s quite a lot, so I hope you like reading lmao)

So the one on the left in my pfp (spiral eye, sweater) is named Bubble (my friend named them), they use any pronouns (although I generally use they/them) and their nickname is Bubs :3

The one on the right (demon, poncho) is Devlin (name taken from the Devlin house from Dead Boy Detectives) they also use any pronouns and their nickname is Dev

These r some of my OG sketches of them (their designs are pretty much exactly the same still, i don’t plan on changing them)

I made them both easy to draw on purpose since I just wanted something to do while I was bored but I’ve ended up becoming super attached to them lmaoo

I decided pretty early on that Bubble and Devlin would be in a romantic relationship because idk, i’m just a sap for romance I guess

Bubs and Dev both use rotary phones from the 1960’s; mostly it’s just a gag, there’s no real reason for this other than I thought it’d be funny.

I tend to stylise Devlin’s dialogue in all caps just to sort of show their loud personality but they actually aren’t yelling most of the time.

They both have pets! Bubble has a saint bernard called Benoit Blanc (Benny) and Devlin has three iguanas named Tim, Martin and Sasha (I think you know where i got their names)

I haven’t planned out every aspect of their characters but I do know a few things such as hobbies (Bubs likes baking and Dev likes to read. They both like arts and crafts) and their families (Bubs comes from a kinda big family, they have several cousins and a little brother, meanwhile Dev no longer speaks to their family.)

THEY ALSOOOO have some friends!

I wanted to keep the Nicknames thing, so i introduce Vixen ‘Vixie’ and Melina ‘Mel’!

Vixie is sort of a slime-person? Idk but it makes sense to me. She’s also transfem and very shy! We love her tho <3

Mel is NOT a zombie although I realise she looks like one, she’s kinda just green. She’s more sarcastic and tired than the other characters but she loves her friends.

Vixie and Mel aren’t as developed as Bubs and Dev but I still love them :3

I hope to make these guys into a comic someday!! I love making up silly guys

HEY SO I FINALLY WANNA PRESENT AN OC INTO TUMBLR

I've had this set up for like.. atleast a month so far, the reference drawn [even if i'm not proud of how the legs turned out in retrospect but I mean hey, it could have been a worse attempt at drawing both Mewtwo legs and digitigrade legs, right?], the google doc on them made, an entire playlist on youtube for em [which I will actually make viewable to friends once I get a pfp that i'm proud enough of to make a channel with lol], EVERYTHING

But like.. idk what made me take so long to actually make this! Especially since I was so excited to present the oc into this thing, so why mull over it any further! Time to present this damn Mewtwo oc already! Just read down below to see the reference on them since I don't wanna bloat the post further

Also.. doc here, since I mentioned it up above lol, this is basically a doc I have on everything for Oblitus so far, lore, personality, hobbies they can get, so on and so forth, even stuff before they became a PMD oc!.. With some unexplained info since me and a friend do rps together with our ocs and all, but I did get their lore presented! If you have any questions, ask in an ask box, dm me, or just ask me on stuff in general, character or not! I'm even chill with people asking about the rp stuff :D

Their hands look how they do in the art [with the fingertips and such] and they got fluff on their tail only because of the merging with a human bodypart thing, it changed their body structure reallly slightly to have more humanoid looking hands than... whatever Mewtwo's got going on with their paws and such, and their tail fluff too! Which is sorta like human hair in all but the structure and stuff, which acts more like fluff.

Oh, and their eyes don't glow when they use psychic abilities yet, that's really only when they get emotionally overwhelmed/unstable, mentally distressed/unstable, or pushing themselves as much as they can due to a situation of distress and all... or if their amnesia wears off through remembering enough or experiencing enough familiar feelings on memories to remember stuff and such

They did/do have some.. well, troubles with using the full strength of their psychic abilities due to forgetting all of them from how severe the amnesia is, but they can get them back by just remembering how to use them, and getting back to being more used to em! [I swear I could explain more properly if asked specifics lol]

ANYWAYS, RAMBLING HOUR OVER! I hope anyone who gets through this absolute slog of a post thinks Oblitus is cool, and I would love to hear your thoughts on em! It's my first time actually presenting an oc into Tumblr, so i'm kinda nervous about it, but here's to hoping it all goes well!

I have a website. I have a quiz about them. I have extra books about their past and future. I drew them and put them in my pfp. I make memes about them. I have playlists of them. I've always wanted to make plushies out of them. The list goes on...

everyone should be weirder about their ocs more.

Okay, more character sources because why not. These were made in new year, but the first one I had already prepared the sourcelist. I didn't finish the second one, which is why I'm posting it today.

Yep, self-insert because I can. Well, it's less me and more the me on Tumblr specifically, but whatever. Charjabug background because square pokemon.

Artists and genres I like is an obvious source, but I had to put it the last because I didn't feel like changing the size or order of the squares. Bardcore is there because I don't really know a lot about music genres, but I've heard enough of what I'm pretty sure is bardcore to know I like it and I needed a third example.

My OCs and the internet, again, pretty obvious. Paper for paper anon, pokemon for my rotomblr OCs and Death for Marta.

Sources from my mutuals and Robots and shapeshifters because these are my sources and I can be a shapeshifting robot if I want to (also, the image was originally going to be a bunch of default tumblr pfps, as in that's my true form and they can change sizes and colors and move to make me look like my pfp normally looks or something, but I forgot to do it) (also, my self insert faller is a ditto hybrid, so shapeshifter would still work with my OCs). The sources from my mutuals also comes from the shapeshifting aspect of the character. Under My Skin is there for shapeshifting because it kind of works? Look, I searched through a lot of playlists, it is the best I can do because people love to name playlists something unrelated to the content. Ah, also, sources from mutuals includes those followers I keep forgetting to follow, you know who you are, probably.

And also, Torbek, who was going to have the source Bones because it's funny, but I couldn't find anything that wasn't about skeletons (or songs literally called Bones, but I'm not going to use three songs with the same name in the sourcelist). I was going to draw him but, let's be honest, there's no way I'd make anything better than how shoocharu draws him. DnD logo background for obvious reasons.

Legend of Avantris and TTRPGs, pretty obvious, that's where Torbek comes from.

Blood and Common enemies. Torbek is a bugbear blood hunter, and bugbears are (distantly) related to goblins and hobgoblins. Also, this is the only time googling "songs about [thing]" has worked, which is good because there's a surprisingly low number of spotify playlists about blood and, again, the people there love to fill playlists with songs that aren't related to the name they gave it. Also, yes, I copied the common enemy examples directly from Blue's sourcelist for spiderling, I'm not sorry (couldn't remember if Blue used songs or examples and the examples are basically the most common enemies in most settings anyway).

Experiments and the fey, because Torbek's blood is infused with fey magic after he was experimented on. Did you know that if you search experiment in spotify you just get educational songs and experimental genres? Googling gave me the same result. You won't believe how many variations of evil science experiment I've searched trying to find songs that are about any experiment of the type you'd actually associate with Torbek. When I got to three I stopped because I'm apparently terrible at finding these things (I bet Louie Zong has something with that vibe actually, but I'm thinking that now). The fey, same thing, so I just used examples of things related to the fey.

I think I wanna make another side blog dedicated to the current project I have going on. I posted about it on the Butterfly Boys one, but for those who don’t follow me there, it’s an Invader Zim longfic. I’m a fic writer who thirsts desperately for validation like a bird in a desert, so it’d be a nice way to build hype, I think

I also currently have a playlist in the works that I’ve dubbed the soundtrack. Because I’m generic and name every chapter with a lyric from a different song, I’m compiling them all into one nice little place on YT. I’m also making a Spootify version, but that one’s gonna be incomplete until some of the songs on YT get crossposted there

Would anybody be interested in that side blog if I made it? I know that people don’t really care much about The Opal Crown, so like...? It’d just be progress reports, hype posting, mini excerpts and, eventually, chapter announcements (since I’m not posting anything until at least half the fic has been written). I’d also have to wait to make it until I have the picture I want the pfp to be. A friend of mine who made my AO3 icon might be doing some art of the MC from chapter seventeen, so it’d be nice to have that as the icon on Tumblr too

If anybody cares to know, the MC is, and I can finally admit this shamelessly, very much an SI-OC (Self-insert original character). Aight sooo I've ben stalking looking at the twitter acc of Doe's creator aannnd got new info which debunks my previous post. Because I'm a sucker for accuracy here's a new headcanon/imagine thingy

He would probably be kind of pet like when he's in his all lovey dovey form once you're dating or more romantically involved (got that vibe from the Dream ending he looked like a cute lil pup there)

He would take care of you very gently. Having learned from his past mistakes in previous loops he will more likely know how you wish to be treated and what your no-gos are. Plus he specifically said he can be whatever You want. I feel like he would sit down with you to learn more just so he can make everything perfect

Tying in with the previous point I think he's a complete perfectionist when it comes to your relationship. He wants you to adore him as much as he does and-most importantly-feel comfortable! So you can expect him observing you carefully, trying to match you perfectly without changing too much (as you still love him for him but it's cute how he tries to adapt to your behaviour in order to make the relationship work out)

Talking to my depressed folks or others incapable of taking care of themselves-he got you. First of all he doesn't (obviously) bother if you haven't showered regularly or can't keep up with cleaning in general-he doesn't either. But I feel like he will try to cheer you up and be a goddamn... Whatever he is-blessing. Although he hates baths or being clean he would bathe with you and shower you in love in an attempt to make you feel better. I feel like he would also feed you or gently push you to do something that wouldn't be out of your comfort zone.

He will reassure you that you're beautiful the way you are whenever you feel insecure. Bodily "flaws"? Nah. Smell/Sweat? He likes it. Personality "flaws"? He'll help you through it. In his eyes you're a beauty (not only in his though, be confident bestie<3) that needs to be cherished

🍀 Which OCs would get along the best?

From the top of my head, here is a list of my OCs that I think would get along with each other:

1. Lilith Dahlas and Cerise Esmeralda. Both of them are cunning women of noble birth. I think if they ever shared braincells it'd be over for everyone. Definition of Girlboss, Gatekeep, Gaslight. Imagine secret meetings during the dead of night, sneaking around in hidden passages, hushed whispers containing ambitious plans.

2. Blake Lunae-Seh and Ethan Dalton. They're just two dudes vibing. Both of them are academically inclined and stoic. I think it'd be very cute if they had study sessions together! Going to ice cream parlors together, comparing school notes, gushing over their very niche interests to each other.

3. Nelly Esmeralda and Carmilla Rouge. For the safety of the entire world, please never let them interact with each other. They're both chaotic and stupid. Definition of Arson, Assholery and Assault. Sparring sessions would be incredibly fun. Perhaps a little bit too destructive. They would enable each other which would eventually lead to the night ending in escaping from the cops.

4. Darcy Angelis and everyone. Yes I can do that. Everyone loves Darcy and if you don't that's a real red flag tbh. On a serious note, Darcy is the closest with Nyx Angelis, but that's because Nyx is her literal mother. I made them opposites of each other: a mother who grew up without love and only knew loneliness, in contrast to a daughter who's always been provided with care and love. 🌸 Who's your most morally questionable OCs (not including villains)? Carmilla or Nyx. Former war criminal turned grandma VS Mean selfish teenage girl, fight! Carmilla has committed a lot of atrocities in her lifetime(?). She's been dead for a long time, so her moral compass is kind of rusty and she's hurt people without meaning to. She feels guilty for certain things, and pushed back the rest. If it came to protect her family, she would definitely do anything, even if it would make them hate her in the end.

Nyx just numbs her feelings and puts herself first no matter the situation. She grows from that, of course. But I think her selfishness is still a core part of her. When she was younger, she'd torment others as a way to project her problems. Nyx didn't really care what she did as long as it benefit her. Also she's my pfp so yeah there's bias here. Nelly is a honorable mention. She loves her friends and family and would do anything to protect them. She isn't a bad person per se, she just wants to have fun. Although sometimes the fun ends up as a fist fight??
