Aww, but imagine breaking the seal on all that Killie gave up to be colonised by the British accepted by the Worthingtons, and seeing Our Killie come roaring back in one wild swoop. First name, last name, accent, biting, horsiness, all at once! That would be fun!
Trying to keep both twins in one place would need a little workshopping to set it all up.

Kill Billy, bill Killie?
it would definitely depend on how you managed to pin both twins down at home and when you managed to do the turning points! I won’t say it isn’t possible but I don’t exactly know how I’d manage it, myself. Might have to leave that up to you??
Rotating the Horse Boys in my brain and thought: What if they swapped places? IE: Charlie stuck around to do Horse Stuff and Killie fucked off to Be Happy? What would that look like, given that they'd still be who they are?
(The Horse Boys) Oh my GOD your MIND?!
Tumblr media
hi. i don't know. how to feel about this.
press keep reading to continue
Charlie, who is personally committed to aging like milk as a carelessly freckly ginger in his own universe, is... a very different-looking person if he remains in the Horse Universe! Spending more time outside has made him all sunbleached and sundamaged, and this AU has put different lines on his face; not all mean, but different.
A core part of Charlie's character is that he isn't naturally an especially nice person; he makes the conscious choice to be kind, but he's a lot colder and more ruthless than Killie, so it's a choice he has to make CONSTANTLY, and would quite like a gold star for, actually! (Does anyone ever NOTICE the MASSIVE EFFORTS that Charlie makes to be a good, kind, patient person?? NO?? DO YOU NOT REALISE IT IS ALL AN ACT? ARGH.)
This Charlie doesn't worry about that at all. This Charlie is a snide, funny, fast-moving little fuck with a clearer physical resemblance to his father Bill, but an equally clear strain of no-fucks-given political-scheming catty little face from his mother Helena. He remains based at the family training yard in County Meath, being an absolute menace, but a massive change from Killie's circumstances is that Charlie domineers the whole family. Some things remain fixed (Bill is still disabled in a riding accident; Ciara still gets divorced) but in general Charlie has shoved, manoeuvred, manipulated and generally girlbossed his parents, siblings, and a significant portion of the extended family under his thumb, despite not being half the jockey Killie was. Then I realised that Charlie would have realised that too, clawed his way through vet school, instantly annexed Colm for his veterinary assistant/lackey, swung round to claim Uncle Bren and Aunty Blaw's loyalty, got the grandfather on side, and just completely cut Bill's legs from under him, leveraging Killie's exile and his status as The Family Vet in a total takeover bid to become head of the family and chief exec of most of the businesses. Why? Is he planning to take over the training yard? Nope! he just wanted to run all of their lives. He rides, but it's all local stuff - point-to-point and local chases - and probably, lacking Killie's sensitivity, goes hunting💀 Remains unmarried and unattached, knows perfectly well that he's bi, but manages to keep his assignations of all genders neatly hidden; all hookups in Dublin one county over; no kids, didn't even date Pippa. Pent-up, bitter, unhappy, mean: but scattering his energy so successfully in controlling 17 uncontrollable people and 2 stressful careers - essentially Patriarching the Dynasty, despite resolutely not fathering another generation for it - that he manages not to notice for DAYS at a time. Half the reason why Charlie made a calculated multidimensional bid for power was that he reckoned if he did ever get a different-gender partner, he'd have the social capital to carry it off, and everyone will have to deal, because this is Charlie's nation now. (The other half is that he's holding space for Killie to come home, ditto.)
But without his sincerity and warmth and joyful heart, he doesn't seem to be attracting the kind of people that Charlie's still-essential Charlieness would want to settle down with... and he remains enough of himself to realise that, if only subconsciously. So his birth family's all better off around him... at the expense of him not having his own spouses and kids :( oh that's so sad. Charlie loves his kids.
Tumblr media
i don't know who this twink is omg
I can see Charlie so clearly but this guy... I don't know him. I mean, Killie's a Sunscreen User, but still. If you remove all the jock from Killie, what remains is almost unrecognisable?? This is Cillian Worthington; he's a very different animal, and I don't know that he's happy, and this is a STRANGER. Unsettling.
When Charlie went into Exile in his home universe, he made some fairly brilliant strategic decisions to avoid the usual fates of homeless queer kids, as well as the private investigators his family hired to get him back. He bolted for England and the evil posh Worthington family, alienated by their rotten daughter Helena for being rancid; they're awful and impossible to live with, but Charlie just wanted a landing pad. Consolidating his plans, buying breathing space, and changing his name, Charlie then springboarded into uni, supporting himself with bartending and music. If Killie did the same... the Worthingtons would welcome him out of spite for Helena, and then more genuinely. But he wouldn't have quite the same savviness and independence, and would find them soul-crushing. Regardless, once he adopted their name, they'd put him in uni and pay all his bills, and he would do weirdly well there - as long as he "kept his nose clean." With fewer temptations to bite, Killie would dutifully keep his nose clean indeed. From there - god! He could actually be an academic. Charlie didn't manage it but jesus CHRIST. Killie probably could.
Dr Cillian Worthington, pretending he isn't constantly fighting his demons, not setting foot in the countryside or looking at animals because it will remind him of his Horselessness. He wouldn't be able to deal with the Horselessness, and he would not be able to get enough capital to get any horses at all, and if he can't have them there's no point breaking his heart wanting them. A clean break is better. Put all horsiness into a box and punt it into the sun.
There would be a scene where Killie just snapped and stole a horse and it ALL CAME BACK OUT.
And another scene where they were reunited, and Killie could break Charlie down completely by just saying calmly, "You used to love music."

The viper finds a comfortable shade in this oasis.
Some time has passed, everyone is less nervous to be around you. Does that mean they interact with you often and consistently like Mystery? Nope. Most of them don’t really need to talk to you, so they don’t really ever.
Though if you’d ask me, Romance and Mystery interact with you the most. Mystery still comes in with a rundown of what the Saja Boys did that day, and Romance sometimes insists you to ditch your raggedy clothes. (You never wear them and stick to your original attire.)
But you’re growing used to their company, as they are to yours.
The Saja boys never really told you what their objective was, never told you what they were doing in the human world, seemingly doing nothing. It was also because you never asked.
The night of your first feast in this world you actually slept.
You didn’t mean to sleep, not really- you weren’t expecting it. You were just supposed to rest your heavy eyelids, and suddenly- a full day passed and you stayed in your room, sleeping. You woke up early in the morning, you were up even before the morning sun came up.
Sitting on your mattress, a thin blanket was cast over you, it was small, but enough for your torso to be covered.
After waiting on your bed for a few more minutes, staring at the door like you were expecting something to happen, you walk out of your room, feeling your muscles sore from not stretching or moving around for a bit. You don’t try to question why you fell asleep.
You don’t even put on your cropped and thin salmon pink vest top, your entire upper body exposed, though it’s not a big difference from your usual attire. You feel the urge to watch the sky, even though the silence throughout the apartment told you it was probably late at night.
The soft patting of your feet alerted the demon in the living room, but he didn't flinch. Not anymore does he react to your presence, even if you stick out like a sore thumb in the room.
Jinu was sitting on the couch, a warm coffee in hand, the sofa was facing the television, but the leader’s face was facing towards the balcony window, the sun was almost about to cross the horizon line.
But here you were, standing in the corner with a blank expression on your face. Neither of you knew nor understood why you stood here, in the morning.
You don’t really interact with the Saja boys unless they come up to you first. Unless you were Mystery, no one here really knew you that well, not your upbringing, not your likes- if you had any.
Jinu just knew you were destructive, and as your time living with them increases, he notices the little things that others might miss. He observes you when he has the energy to.
The way you’re passionate about fighting, about the idea of battling strong foes. From the one and only physical fight you used your true power in, even just from that- Jinu knew:
You didn’t treat fights like a violent and unthinking warrior, you treated it like an art form. Abstract painting, your victory was your piece. You’re ecstatic at the thought of strength, you marvel at it like how a painter would look at his muse.
But you’re quiet without the sounds of battle cries, focused but tunnel visioned, don’t fully understand nor see the full extent of what your simpler actions are capable of.
For example: your messes, you’d leave shit everywhere, but Jinu knew that you didn’t mean to. You just were curious to learn, even if it annoyed the hell out of him.
You still held your truce as it was technically not destroying the place.
And the day you actually tried to clean up your own mess.
Oh, he was surprised.
But that was the silence that spoke for you. You saw him, saw what he was doing. And had adjusted.
He has to hand it to you, he didn’t know at the time that you could hold that much critical thinking. Thought you were all brawn like Abby.
That’s why he stopped tensing or grimacing around you or when you entered the room for whatever reason. He was the third person to do so after Mystery and Romance.
Sometimes Jinu sees you watching the fighting slash wrestling show with Baby.
And he sees that as days pass, you get closer and closer to the couch.
How Baby contradicts his own words when he tells Jinu that he finds that channel boring but then turns it on the next hour.
He never did anything about it. Because as of right now, he was focused on getting his memories erased. His horrible past. His irredeemable actions. If he’s going to live ‘till the end of time, he’d rather do it without his memories.
“Good morning.” He greets after a pause.
You blink.
Then you leave.
“Jackass…”
But Jinu understands a moment later because the sun peeked over the tall buildings of Seoul right as you left.
At first, neither of you two knew what your intention was, but the moment you stood at that corner, staring at Jinu looking at the sky- expecting the sun. then the reason why just suddenly clicked in your head.
Jinu wasn’t looking at you, but you weren’t as focused on the sun, you were focused on him.
The thing was stirring in your gut, you subconsciously told yourself that it was not worth something to say- but you don’t really know what you were trying to say or do with having that thought stuck inside you after centuries of not caring about it.
‘What does the sun feel like’
You erased the thought and went back into your room.
Yeah, honestly, the absence of the demon progenitor’s voice ringing in your head like an alarm clock was affecting you in strange ways, ways you can’t handle too well. Your head space was obviously getting too quiet.
But moving on!
You assimilated a little slowly, but assimilated nonetheless.
You know better than to slam Alexas and other personal assistant speakers against the wall, or to throw garbage off the balcony, you even started to use slippers inside the house.
When Romance saw you recycle something for the first time, he was soooo dramatic about it. Like you were a baby who finally mastered potty training.
You gave him a stink eye when he patted your shoulder like a proud parent, fake crying, you shoved him onto Baby who was on the couch.
Baby nearly kicked Romance’s neck and the two fought about it as you rolled your eyes from a distance.
Mystery didn’t stop stopping by your room.
But this conversation took place next to the coffee table on the carpet, you were just doing some of the weights that Abs had stolen from the gym for you.
“How did eating feel?
“Refreshing.”
“Is your kind also on the brink of extinction because your demon king can’t feast enough because of hunters?”
Pause.
Okay, you both need to get better at conversations.
You give him a face.
“No, he’s just looking for a special flower to conquer the sun.” You scoff.
Mystery nods thoughtfully.
“So your king’s weak?” You add, your neutral tone dipping with condescension at the mention of Mystery’s kind’s leader being at a rough patch with sustenance.
Mystery nods.
Wow, not even gonna try to make him look good?
Then he would show you pictures of the hunters, you just pointed at the pink haired one and said that she looked the strongest.
And that got the other demon thinking.
What would happen if… you fought Huntr/x?
OKAY OKAY STAY WITH HIM.
You’re strong, have abilities that none of them have and all are destructive, you’re unpredictable and not under the chains of Gwi-Ma.
“Would you fight them?”
You shake your head, “I don’t fight women.”
Mystery doesn’t react.
Abby does though (because of course he does), his sass reacts faster than his head.
“Of course you don’t. You’d kill an army but draw the line when it's a woman.” He groans.
A second passes and he realizes that he basically just mocked your morals, and he turns his head away from you slightly, not enough to draw attention, but enough so he doesn’t have to see your face.
Abs didn’t like to be scared, especially since you’re shorter than him. It was a blow to his ego, but he’s seen just who and what you could be. And he would rather not deal with you like that.
Then he turns his head over his shoulder to check the silence, and all he sees is you continuing your reps, looking at something else Mystery had to show you.
Look, you weren’t offended that easily. Unless it’s Douma, if it were him and he simply does something like breathe a bit too loud, then you’re getting his mouth ripped off.
And that’s when Abby learns something new at that moment.
You’re more collected than him. More composed. You had your strength and won’t make petty fist fights- he would’ve done that if someone questioned his ways.
And yes, he knows that you despise the weak and see them as lesser beings- but that hardly comes up in your day to day life these days. Meanwhile Abby takes every opportunity to shoot others down just because he can.
You’re both demons, maybe not the same kind, but there is a clear gap between the two of you. And it infuriated Abby more than he’d like to admit.
Abs had crushed the soda can in his hands at a thought that rose without his permission in his head.
You were… really cool.
He retches in his spot, Romance turns and gives him a disgusted look that he ignores. Jinu looks at him from the fridge, muttering “Not in front of my pudding bro…”
Speaking of Romance, he warmed up to you relatively quickly after teaching you the ways of the bathtub, he’s seen Mystery act normal around you, and you think more than Abby does despite having more muscle mass.
It only took one deep look in your lemon drop colored eyes and that’s when he realized your potential.
Your beauty potential.
He likes experimenting on you, trying out pale white foundation to try and cover your markings, see what was pigmented, trying to customize your appearance- it’s not like anyone’s going to see you anyway.
Oh but of course, that meant he had to physically restrain you.
Because after the first time where you just happened to not care about your surroundings, the softer pink haired male realized how well it could go.
But you weren’t entirely fond of the weird sensations of the makeup, so after that, you kept rejecting his offers to ‘doll’ you up.
Then Romance made the grand decision to take matters into his own hands. His good looks got him everything- why would your compliance be any exception.
The first attempt resulted in him getting body slammed into Jinu (who was in the process of writing an email and completely messed it up and yelled at Romance for being a bitch.)
The second attempt ended up with Romance jumping past you because you budged at the right time. He nearly kissed Baby on the lips. And then Baby threw up for a completely unrelated reason.
I think.
Third time’s the charm right?
Not really in this case. Or maybe. Depends on your perspective.
Romance approached you from behind with a rope used to tie boats to decks- where’d he get his hands on that? Don’t ask, never ask me.
What was his plan?
Tie you up and become his little makeup experiment for an hour or two, no harm in that right? Eh…
In the comfort of your own little room, you’re meditating, tending to your abilities to see what others can’t.
And so of course, you heard this guy’s footsteps from across the dorm, and the moment he went for the kill, lunging towards you to tie you up. Swinging the rope over you like jump rope, just so he’d be able to pull you in by surprise.
But you counter him. And within a blink of his pretty eyes, Romance was instead restrained by the ropes, you stood behind him, his back squared against your chest, the rope in your hands.
Your arms shift, putting Romance into a headlock.
“You think you’re slick?” you ask, your tone was nonchalant, unaffected, unbothered- as usual, this was a cake walk for you to notice him.
For a moment, the trapped man’s eyes widened in shock, he knew you were good at fighting, but this was a real show of your speed.
And to feel your muscles this close? This in his face? Literal. Heaven.
A wave of attraction flushes Romance at your defense. This feeling felt a little old, it’s been a while since he felt this physically attracted (the demons downstairs aren’t much to look at unfortunately). It automatically turns on the flirt inside him- and suddenly he forgets just what you are.
“I think I am now…~” he purrs, his eyes half closed with a flirtatious glint in his eyes. Leaning into your forearm, his soft hair against your roughened skin.
Your eyebrows furrow, what a strange guy.
“Whatever that means.” You unclench your arms, releasing him from the headlock position, he flopped to his knees, grinning like he had just discovered something new.
Because he did. About himself.
Baby and Abs just happened to be passing by, sharing looks of confusion and cringe.
Baby felt bad for himself for having to witness and hear Romance spew that, and he felt bad for you for triggering that weird part in Romance. (scratch that, he’s always been this weird)
Abs just rolled his eyes, trying to ignore the flex in your muscles.
Jeez, jealous much?
From that day, it seems that two of the five Saja boys had a fixation on your physique. Not that you knew nor cared about that.
The night ended for Romance after taking care of his boner.
Moving along.
Baby still turned the channels on, his expression now never really flinched whenever you appeared seemingly out of nowhere. He just sat there, half looking at you and half looking at the fighting.
He thought it was weird that you liked and were interested in fighting so much and took it so seriously.
Baby didn’t budge whenever you decided to sit down on the ottoman, his gaze didn’t shift either, stayed the same.
The teal haired demon has seen you interact with the others, he’s quiet and tries not to get involved all too much.
Just focusing on getting the souls to his master, he tried to disregard you.
But he can’t really help but notice your behavior as days pass, every single new thing you learn from any of them- or just simply copying what they do.
You brought their dishes to sink when they simply didn’t feel like it, aligned their shoes neatly at the door (he saw how neat they were every time they came home after a long day), turned off all the lights when they forgot, folded both dirty and clean laundry when found randomly across the dorm.
Sure, they were menial tasks, but it’s more baby’s ever done for the Saja boys.
Baby had memories of his human life, his cheats, bribes, lies, ruses, how lazy and ignorant he was just for being a son of someone important. He always had someone else doing ‘useless’ tasks for him because he was always lazy.
It’s also why he’s the messiest Saja boy.
So to see you go from punching the shit out of the five of them to politely setting aside messes when no one even asked you to, his insides bristled. His eyebrows furrowed as the bite on his lollipop got more tense.
But he doesn’t know the name of this emotion. He just knows that whenever you are being… decent,
He felt irritated.
The feeling builds and suddenly, he stops turning on the fighting channel, no longer really wanting to see your face.
You were bare minimum decent despite being flawed, and that grinds his gears.
Now, you frequent the living room with the television less often, you don’t notice it at first, but when you do. You just move on, unaffected.
And Baby can’t tell if that pisses him off even more or not.
You were getting used to being around the Saja boys, evading Romance’s advances that seemed to get more and more romantic towards you, working out for hours at a time during the day, but you did get curious.
Your head was empty, clear but not well.
One day, you catch them in the moment that they disappear into a wisp of pink smoke, you don’t see them for maybe half an hour, but then the commotion returns. You’re sitting on the ottoman, meditating and channeling your energy.
Mystery saunters over to you, tilting his head as he asks you a question.
“Do you have memories of when you were a human?”
Through your conversations, you tell him the limited knowledge of becoming a human you had. Simply explained that your demon king guy could turn anyone into a demon by giving them his blood.
And I guess, the talk with Gwi-Ma centered around Jinu and his wish to erase his memory.
Your eyes keep shut, but you visibly tense. It catches the lavender white haired demon’s attention- sensitive topic it seemed.
Jinu, from across the room, narrows his eyes at Mystery blatantly referencing his talk with their demon lord. A low blow, but he realizes his curiosity of your answer.
After a stiff pause, you answer.
“I don’t.”
Your tone was no doubt neutral, but it wasn’t exactly calm. Like there were words teetering on the edge of your tongue, like you wanted to add something but didn’t say it aloud.
Jinu knew that face and the silence all too well, for he had so many unspoken thoughts, letters written but not delivered about the past.
The only difference is that you’re still very unsure on what’s going inside whenever someone brings up your life before you were transformed into a demon, and he does.
It’s an interesting play of parallels isn’t it?
Both you men left your families, one of you left because you made a deal, the other was simply gone at the wrong time and paid the price for it.
It puts you into a new light for Jinu, maybe he’ll ask you what it’s like to have no memories of your human life some time.
Mystery puts the topic aside quickly, and to distract you, he shows you a dance practice video they took in the studio that day.
“Why does it keep zooming in on Abby’s abs?” You ask with a stone cold tone.
Baby snickers but shuts up when Abs turns his head to him.
Mystery shrugs, “The camera lady was very.. Interested, I guess.”
“They’re just muscles.”
Jinu had to block Abby’s way before he did something stupid.

"Rex Lapis, The Warrior God"
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[📃] Rex Lapis is the Warrior God. [🖇️] Zhongli [🖋️] Archon War Timeline ; angst, hurt/no comfort ; longfic (3.7k words) [1]  Ignore lore inaccuracies (I know Mauvika is the God of war, just bear with me here), I haven’t played in so long but I love the characters TT [2] Fun fact, before I was a Thoma girlie, I was a Zhongli, geodaddy girl through and through. I also Rewrote this 5 times in different fonts and different characters. God help me, I was struggling. Honestly nawt my best work</3
Tumblr media
He is Rex Lapis, the Warrior God.
Groundbreaker, an archon.
Morax. Rex Lapis — The Warrior God.
The Warrior God is not a stranger to death. He is not a stranger to the blood that spills on the earth, to the blood that stains his hands.
Chaos reigns when there is war. Rex Lapis is all too familiar with it.
The Archon War is just another War – and Rex Lapis… his land is burdened with it. He is the God who lives on the battlefield. He thrives on it, and anything on the bloodied grounds is anything but a stranger. He is not a stranger to cries that fill the sky. And his chest does not hurt at the sight of friends, comrades, falling on every side. Not anymore, for it is inevitable.
His hands are calloused after years of holding a weapon. Gloves do little to prevent those- gloves do little to cover the stains of blood.
It comes with war. It comes with his title.
And with every cry, every scream, every blood shed, he pushes on, for Rex Lapis is the Warrior God.
Rex Lapis does not grieve.
He does not weep.
He must not do so.
The Warrior God has to continue on, for the war has yet to be won.
But then he met you.
“Guizhong,” Rex Lapis eyes his friend. “Where are we going?” The God of Dust merely smiles, secretive and full of mischief. She senses the impatience in the dragon, the furrow of his brows tell of his annoyance at her, but she doesn’t budge.
“It is a secret, my dear friend.” She only leads him further up the mountain, moving through the trail with ease of someone who has been here far too many times.
“We could have been at the peak in moments. Yet you insisted on walking.” Rex Lapis grumbles, the gold of his arms pulsing slightly as he scowls. Guizhong rolls her eyes at him.
“Oh, don’t be a grump!” The God huffs. “It is for the experience, Morax. Come, hurry up!” The Warrior God eyes her with half the mind of ignoring her remarks, wishing to instead teleport to the peak to leave her alone to walk up… then he smells brewing tea.
It wafts down the mountain, and he gives Guizhong a glance. Her smile merely deepens. She does not say a word, instead continuing the trek up. Rex Lapis scowls at the secrecy of his friend, but follows nevertheless.
Then they arrive at the peak, and a small, quaint teahouse meets them. There is a noise behind the teahouse, and Guizhong leads him to the source.
He sees you.
You seem unaware of the presence of two Gods behind you, your eyes focused out into the view of the sea, hands curled around a tea cup and a peaceful smile etched on your face.
A peaceful figure in the midst of a war that rages beyond the mountain.
Guizhong calls out your name. A wide smile, a cheery voice, and you turn.
Amber eyes focus only on you, and Rex Lapis’ interest in you increases.
Your smile widens and you bow your head at the God, before gesturing to the seat near yours. “My Lady.”
“Guizhong. I have told you far too many times, my friend, to only call me Guizhong.”  The Warrior God watches your interaction with the God of Dust. Curious, scrutinizing.
You do not notice him following Guizhong, and simply smile at her. You shake your head, “I am in the presence of a God, I cannot do that.”
Guizhong huffs. “You’re so stubborn. You remind me too much of this brute of a man.” She waves a hand towards Rex Lapis standing behind her, and at that, he sees your eyes flicker over to him, finally noticing him.
You pause, eyes wide, before you quickly move to stand, head ducked low.
Rex Lapis is quick to stop you, “Please stay seated.” His tone is low. You stop midway of getting up, and you glance up at him. “You do not need to bow.”
You look at Guizhong, who shrugs and takes a seat near yours. Slowly, you nod at the God of Wealth, the Warrior God, Rex Lapis and sit back down.
“Tea, My Lord?” You offer to the God. You are quick to regain your composure, and Rex Lapis scrutinizes you with a furrow to his brows. He opens his mouth to respond but Guizhong is quick. She doesn’t wait for Rex Lapis to accept or reject, forcing him to take the seat opposite hers: the one to your left. He shuts his mouth, eyes the two of you, and does so.
You pour him a cup, quietly murmuring. “Green tea. I do hope it's to your taste.”
Then Guizhong calls for your attention, and you turn, a content, peaceful smile appearing on your lips.
Peace, in a time of war.
Rex Lapis takes a sip of the tea, his eyes focused on you.
How curious.
Chaos reigns in war.  Rex Lapis pushes through.  There is chaos all around. He remembers you.  Peace, in the midst of a war.  Rex Lapis is unfamiliar with it.
He visits again, without Guizhong.
You had jumped in surprise at the sudden appearance of the God right at your doorway, but you are quick to regain your composure, and you offer him a small smile.
“Hello, my Lord.” You reach for a tea box above the counter, and tilt your head at the God. “Please come in.”
At your invitation, he enters, Polearm disappearing as he takes a seat on one of the chairs.
“Guizhong praises you.” He says, low and cautious. You continue your movements, placing tea leaves into the kettle. You pull back the sleeves of your dress as you place the kettle above the fire.
“She does?” You turn to the God.
“She calls you a friend.” Rex Lapis is slow in his words, despite his usual bluntness and impatience when it comes to these things. “One she speaks of a lot.”
Your hands brush down the wrinkles of your attire as you listen to him. A smile appears on your face, gentle, full of amusement. “... My lady has been a regular here for quite some time. A speaking companion of mine. She finds the quietness of my home endearing. Enjoyable.” You eye the kettle above the fire.
Rex Lapis' eyes are focused on you. He seems to be quietly studying you.
He doesn't seem like the God Guizhong raves to me about, you think. She described him as stubborn, thick-headed, impatient– a God too blunt, hot-headed. But the God in your home is quiet, curious– not at all easily angered.
You glance at him. Instead, you think to yourself. He seems like a watching cat. A chuckle leaves your lips at your thought. If he is to hear your thoughts, perhaps you might see a glimpse of that hot-headed temper Guizhong told you about.
“Guizhong seems to adore you. She talks my ear off about you.” He finally says. You laugh softly, “Is that so? Are you curious as to why My Lady is fond of me?” You take the kettle with careful hands when the smoke begins to leave its spout. It takes a while, and you pour out the tea and place a cup in front of Rex Lapis. He nods at your words, and you smile again. Gentle, soft, full of amusement.
“I, too, wonder the same. Perhaps it is because of my tendency to listen, instead of speaking.” You hum, “I’m one to speak only when spoken too. The silence, the quiet, the peace– I like listening to that.”
It is silent for a moment, and the man asks. “Why do you not move?” Rex Lapis clears his throat. “I mean, why do you not move away from the conflict?”
You pause in the midst of pouring your own tea, and you glance at him. You laugh softly, “I do not want to.”
“Why is that?”
You put the pot down and shrug.
Rex Lapis probes further. “Why do you not? The war moves closer. It is not safe. Should you not move?” You do not say a thing, tucking your legs under you as you sit across him.
“After all,” He says. “Being in the mountains does not mean being safe from war.”
You smiled again at the confused God. “The teahouse is my home, My Lord. I cannot leave it. I do not want to.”
“And why is that? No matter how far you are, the battle moves closer to Mt. Tianheng. Not even a day ago, the earthquake had affected this mountain.” Rex Lapis could only look at you with may have been puzzlement, perhaps annoyance at your insistence, the steadfast stubbornness.
“My home has been passed down from generation to generation. I’ve been raised to not leave it, despite any storm that may come.” You blow at the hot cup of tea. “It may be a bit stupid of me, in your eyes, My Lord, but I carry  a strong attachment to this home, so I wish to not leave.”
“And if you get caught in the crossfire of the war?” Rex Lapis eyes you curiously. You smile at the God, and shrug.
He does not get his answer.
Death is not a stranger to you. Many of your family perished long before, and you are the only one left in this quaint teahouse.  Rex Lapis learns this later. He is not a stranger to death– nor are you. You do not seem scared of death. A strange understanding. A strange feeling rests in Rex Lapis’ chest.
Rex Lapis continues to visit the teahouse, with or without Guizhong.
For what reason, he cannot bother to remember. It may be the strange quietness that came from the teahouse, or just the fact you are a friend of Guizhong, or perhaps it was the smell of brewing tea that wafted down the trails on the mountain.
Or, perhaps, it is because of you, the strange mortal who lives quietly, who merely brews tea, and who has never seen the battlefield he himself is so familiar with.
He finds his routine begins to involve you.
(Rex Lapis shakes the ground. He breaks through the earth. The Gods that war against his authority find themselves impaled. His people insist on fighting with their Gods.  He could not find it in himself to refute, for this is War.  Chaos reigns in War. Blood is spilled, cries are heard. Rex Lapis does not grieve. He does not weep.  Guizhong offers a steady hand.  The Guili Plains stand strong. There is still a war to win.)
“Good Day, Morax.” You greet him.
It has been his fifth visit this past week. Whenever he isn’t in the midst of the battlefield, you find him in your teahouse.
Rex Lapis just nods, and enters the quaint home.
You say nothing, but brew another cup of tea.
It is routine. It has become routine after a year of visits. A year since Guizhong brought him here, a year since he has begun to visit consistently. The visits that began to seep into Rex Lapis day to day, the visits that once brought fear to your heart, confusion at the presence of the Warrior God… now brought excitement– expectation of his arrival.
A careful emotion, one you cannot, you must not express to the God.
And so, your smooth, careful hands, brew him another cup of tea. Placing it in front of him, you are rewarded with his smile, and your chest blooms.
“Green tea?” His voice rumbles, and you smile as you shake your head. Your own cup sits in front of you as you fold your legs to sit across the Warrior God. “No, My Lord. Chamomile. It has calming effects on the body.”
Before Rex Lapis could say anything against you, you continued. “I simply wish to offer you a moment of calm, My Lord. After all, the war is restless, and … “ You trail off, hoping you have not crossed the line, and you peek at the God. He looks at the tea you gave him, and he nods.
Your chest is filled with relief, and you duck your head to hide the small smile. You miss the gaze of the God that lands on you.
Quiet, scrutinizing… soft.
A mortal who lived far from the conflict.  A mortal whose hands have never held a weapon.
(Rex Lapis holds a fallen friend's hand, but he pushes forward. There is still war– His hands are calloused.  Stained.  There is still a war to win.)
Your hands are smooth.
They are proof of the lack of a burden you do not carry.
You are a mortal, whose home is far from Guili. You are a mortal, whose hands have not held a weapon, whose hands are not stained with blood.
Your hands, instead, are smooth. They are soft, careful– clean.
Rex Lapis has met many with hands like yours- but none of them had the same, gentle smile on your face.
Often, in the rare moments he gets to hold your hands, he cannot ignore the difference between his calloused ones and your smoother palms. Despite his insistence on using his gloves, slight fear at the roughness of his hands hurting yours, you tell him that it is okay– it is alright.
“You do not have to be ashamed.” You whisper gently. “I do not mind. You do not have to hide them, My Lord.”
He looks at you, puzzled. You smile– gentle, soft. “Your scars are proof of your acts to protect your people. Proof that it's you.”
“Me?” His voice is low, questioning.
You hum, “You. Rex Lapis, Morax– Warrior God, God of Wealth…” You run a gentle hand over his, carefully pressing on his palms. “The calluses are proof of the things you have done as those titles- they are what made you, you.”
His heart squeezes.
(Guili plains lay waste.  Rex Lapis does not grieve. He does not weep. There is a cry of pain, a scream. It comes with war. He does not grieve. He does not weep. There is a war he must win.)
Your gentle fingers trace the gold patterns on his arm.
Guizhong has died.
The moment Rex Lapis had time to collect himself, he sought you.
The news made your hands shake. Guizhong, your friend, your companion. You had always thought you would die before her.
He let you grieve. Let you cry, and in those moments, you had let him collect you in his arms. You could not find it in you to push him away, and now here you are, head on his chest as he holds you.
Something in your chest stirs.
“... What now?” You ask the silent God. Rex Lapis turns his head to you, and you see resolute grief in his amber eyes and you nod in understanding.
“I must move my people. Somewhere far. Before they are ravaged further by the Gods.”
You swallow, fingers still tracing the patterns on his arm. “To where?”
“.... Perhaps near this mountain.” Rex Lapis says. “The land is good.”
You nod. “It is.”
His eyes focus on you, and you don’t make a move to return his gaze. His free hand reaches for your face.
You don’t move, and he takes it as a sign. The rough pads of his fingers trace gentle patterns on your cheek.
Swallowing, your eyes flicker nervously from his eyes, to your hands as you try to calm your heart. “My Lord–”
“Morax.” He quietly interrupts. “Please.”
You meet his gaze. Careful, quiet, searching. Then you nod. “...Morax.”
Rex Lapis smiles.
He sees why Guizhong adored you so.
You, the mortal who has taught him slowly, quietly and in your own way… to take his time, to be more than Rex Lapis, than the Warrior God.
His visits increase, and in the quietness of your home, you express your thoughts to him. He wonders of the peace you find in the mountains, you tell him of the idea of taking your time. Rex Lapis— Morax listens.
His calloused hands hold yours who is smooth and free from the pains of holding a weapon. Your hands that cradle his face with such tenderness, such care…
Rex Lapis finds his peace.
Rex Lapis is soothed from his burdens.
But he is still Rex Lapis.  And he is still a God. And there is still chaos.  There is still a war he has to win.
Rex Lapis raises his polearm to the enemy, and yells out a battle cry.
Mortals fall left and right, yet he does not stop.
He continues on.
Bodies fall left and right. He cannot stop. There is a war to win.
Then there is a cry.
Then there is the sound of a whimper.
Then there is your voice.
He turns, and there you are, hidden behind some rubble, hands stained with blood.
Rex Lapis is not a stranger to death.  That does not mean he is immune to it.
“Why are you here?“ Rex Lapis breathes.
You look up, eyes wide.
He repeats the question. You shake your head. “Because I want to.”
“You can die.“
“I can. But I won’t.“
Rex Lapis grips his polearm. “You...” he cannot say anything.
But he quietly moves to bring you to safety.
Your hands are calloused. They match his, whose hands have held a weapon and have been stained with blood.
He clenches his teeth, yet does not say anything. But in his heart, he begs you to not make him grieve. To not make him weep for you as you lay in his arms lifeless and unbreathing.
Rex Lapis moves on. There is still a war to win.
He no longer visits your teahouse.
Instead, he visits you on the battlefield, and every time, he wishes you to go back.
You just smile, shake your head. He cannot convince, so instead, he simply exists next to you, in hopes that maybe, you change your mind and return to the teahouse.
You are barely breathing.
You, the mortal he has known the past year.
You, the mortal who welcomed him in their home, whose wine filled his throat and his heart with affection. Whose hands he held, whose laugh, smile, and affection he has held so dear to him...
You, whose blood is on the ground. Spilling, staining the ground with red.
The ground is red. It is seeping with your blood. Your blood.
His name falls off your lips. His feet are grounded as the people rush forward.
Then he drops his polearm and rushes to you.
He holds your head up as you inhale and exhale in short gasps. He hushes you. “Save your breath. The healer-”
“Is far.“ You mumble through pained gasps.
Rex Lapis Morax holds you close, hands stained with your blood.
“Why are you here again?“ He says, hand gripping your side as he puts pressure on your wound. His words are harsh. Clipped. Yet they hold fear and worry for you.
You raise a hand to his cheek. A calloused hand. A hand that has held a weapon.
You smiled, eyes gazing at him with warmth and peace, in the midst of a war where there is nothing but cold bodies and chaos.
Do not join the rest of those littered on the battlefield, he begs. Stay alive. Stay with me.
Yet you only chuckle and mumble your affections, your heart to him, whispering of the war he has to win.
The archon war.
May Celestia strike him down for his blasphemy but then what is the point of the war if at the end, he loses you?
You smile at his words. Reassuring, sad– gentle.
He curses, but then you mutter your last words.
A calloused hand, your calloused hand, falls to your side as the light in your eyes fade.
Rex Lapis is not a stranger to death.
Rex Lapis does not grieve.
Rex Lapis does not weep.
But for this moment, he is no longer Rex Lapis, the Warrior God, but Rex Lapis, the man who loves you.
And so he grieves.
He weeps for you and the hands that have gone cold.
He grieves, and he weeps.
There is still a war to win.
But Rex Lapis already felt that he had lost it.
“Zhongliiiii~!”
A high, chipper voice calls out from behind the dark haired man. He turns in time to see Paimon and Aether appear from the trails leading up to Mt. Tianheng’s peak.
“Ah, Paimon, Aether.” Zhongli smiles in greeting. The pair move closer, Paimon floating side to side as she complains., “We’ve been looking for you for so long!”
Aether follows close by, smiling as Paimon continues, “We went all over Liyue! Ugh, I’m so tired.”
Zhongli chuckles at the pixie’s whines, returning his attention to the view of Liyue Harbor. The pixie floats close to Zhongli, Aether now joining him to look over the view. “What are you even doing here?” Paimon sighs, eyes peering curiously at the ex-archon.
The man hums low, amber eyes softening as he answers. “Reminiscing.”
The traveler tilts his head, questioning him with a raised brow. Paimon isn’t subtle in her curiosity, turning her entire body towards Zhongli, eyes wide. “Of what, Zhongli?”
It takes a while for Zhongli to answer, his eyes looking far at the sea of Liyue. He looks contemplative– sad, Aether notes. He doesn’t comment on it however, and waits for Zhongli to answer.
When he does, he does with a sigh. “Why were you looking for me, Paimon?” The pixie blinks at the lack of an answer to her question, and she turns to Aether with a questioning frown. Aether just shrugs, and Paimon lets out a sigh before turning back to Zhongli.
“We were going around Liyue Harbor and we heard something from Madame Ping.” Paimon floats around Zhongli, tilting her head curiously. “Who is [name]?”
The familiar name brings a smile to Zhongli’s face. “Ahh…” He chuckles. “What brings them up, traveler, Paimon?”
Aether clears his throat, “Well, Madame Ping mentioned something about… a mortal who was close friends with Guizhong and Morax.”
“And we’ve never heard about them from other adepti.” Paimon says. “Who are they?”
Zhongli smiles. He looks out again towards the sea of Liyue. Aether watches as Zhongli seems to think of a memory from before. The pair waits for his answer, however, when he finally speaks up it isn’t an exact answer to Paimon, instead, he asks the pixie a question in return.
“...Would you like to accompany me on a walk?”
The pair exchange glances, and nod.

I like the general fandom trend to just take the plot of Hyrule Warriors as a loose guideline at best and just use the whole concept as a good excuse to get blorbos to interact across timelines, BUT I'm very disappointed that everyone is missing the comedic potential of a very specific squad of characters:
Young Link (aka Mask), who walks out of the nightmare of Majora's Mask and immediately gets portal kidnapped into a temporal war, takes one look at the whole mess and decides that you could not fucking pay him to admit to being the resident expert on Time Shenanigans. He introduces himself with the title of Hero of Termina, and definitely doesn't have any other ones, that would be crazy. Hero of Time? Never heard of him.
Tetra, who is a kickass pirate captain with zero patience for people trying to shove her into the Designated Princess role, and realizes immediately that Oh Fuck, this Hyrule has a lot of Ideas about how the Hero and the Princess are supposed to properly play their parts, the second they realize she's technically a Zelda they're gonna shove her in a goddamn dress and damsel her again, that's not happening. So she's definitely just a really cool pirate captain, nothing else going on here at all, definitely not the heir of the Hylian royal family in her time, that'd be crazy.
Ravio, who is literally just a palette swapped Link, meaning that the second his hood comes off, things are gonna get Awkward. There's no way in hell he's dealing with all that Hero baggage, that's Link work, so that giant bunny hood/mask is practically superglued to his head, and he's not taking it off for love or money.
Spirit Tracks Zelda, who is just in the Phantom Armour the whole time, and passing herself off as just a friendly ghost posessing a suit of armour to help the Hero of Spirits. Of course she isn't Princess Zelda, that's ridiculous, if she were a Zelda then people would start getting really weird about her technically being dead, and boy does that ever sound like a whole Thing she doesn't want to deal with, so she can't possibly be Zelda, she's just a nice ghost knight. Also, her teenage grandma is here, and that's kinda weird, so it's easier to just not admit to being royalty and avoid that awkward conversation.
Finally there's Sheik, who is not the Princess Zelda of the era straight up abandoning her war torn country for months at a time so she can risk her life in extreme cosplay for no clear reason, but is instead the actual Sheik from Ocarina of Time, who just beat Ganondorf like a month ago and is still trying to process what the fuck to do now. Also, he's been pretending to be a boy since he was ten, and is realizing there's a pretty good chance that he isn't pretending anymore, so that's a whole other can of worms. But for the last seven years of his life, being Princess Zelda meant certain death, so he's not really inclined to introduce himself like when in a new and stressful situation (not to mention he might actually just not be a girl named Zelda anymore), so he automatically introduces himself as just Sheik the spooky ninja man, and fuck he's in too deep to back out now, looks like he's committing to the bit. If you think you sense the Triforce of Wisdom on him, no you don't.
Cue shenanigans as the five of them attempt to hide that they're all actually kind of A Big Deal. The group motto is "Nobody says shit", which is usually delivered as a frantic hiss whenever someone slips up. Just the reunion between Sheik and Mask alone would be absolutely buckwild given how they parted, and how they're both frantically pretending to Not be involved with each other. For added hilarity and/or drama, Sheik gives his semi-bullshit cover story of having just been a friend of the Hero of Time, then runs into said Hero of Time and they both have to desperately pretend not to know each other, because if anyone picks up on the mountain of baggage between them then Mask is busted, and he won't hesitate to drag Sheik down with him out of sheer spite. Not to mention the weird balance of Sheik being used to this Link being a teenager that's actually a small child, and now has to adjust to Link who is a small child that's actually a teenager.
Also, i really feel like we're all missing out on the comedy potential of Ganondorf recognizing Young Link on sight and the two of them immediately launching into a grudge match with some extremely personal and specific insults on both sides. Meanwhile literally everybody else is just standing there watching, trying to process the fact that out of every single person that's been pulled out of time, Ganondorf only has personal beef with a literal nine year old.
I just feel like we're all really sleeping on the potential for Shenanigans here. The whole thing is an absurd mess, why not have some fun with it?

The Chain Meets You, His Partner || 2/3
Part 1 || Part 3
Pairing: Hyrule, Sky, Wind x GN! Reader
Requested by @temporarilyablog: i see requests are open still so im coming to you with a thought i had recently:how about a Link from the Chain interacting with the reader, another Link's s/o from their original adventures, when *their* Link isn't around. i can see some teasing another Link with the reader that they've only known through little stories here and here, or others grilling the reader relentlessly because another Link was so shy about their relationship and partner, and wants to know how that Link is like around someone he allows himself to relax.its kinda like when the Chain met Malon for the first time and interacted with her for stories about old man Timeand as always stay awesome, i love your writing!
Zelda Masterlist 💙Fandom Masterlist
Concerningly delighted or eerily eager - the Chain can’t quite agree on which descriptor best described their teammate the best once he realized they had all landed in his Hyrule. Bubbling with excitement ever since while maintaining a pace some of the other boys have to jog after, Link doesn’t waste breath saying where he’s leading them, although that giddy smile upon his face - as much as he tries to hide it - is plenty for the wiser heroes to get the hint…
Tumblr media
Hyrule's time is 'rough around the edges', to put it easily, not that it can't be expected considering all the stories he's rather casually told the others about regarding both his world and adventures. Even the Kingdom's Castle - usually a centerpiece to the land - is beaten down and, in most aspects, less...impressive compared to what most of the heroes are accustomed to seeing, although for a simple traveler like Hyrule, it still holds quite a bit of significance.
"I just want to speak to the Sovereign before we move on - to let them know why I've been away," He rambles his explanation to the Chain, his outward emotions suddenly undergoing yet another change. His once untroubled smile becomes wary, his hands unstill as he fidgets with his sleeves. That prior excitement he had held when first suggesting they even go to the Castle has now turned into what the other heroes misjudge to be poorly hidden nerves, "I don't want them to be left assuming I'm dead in a ditch somewhere."
"Makes sense," Warrior nods, keeping a careful eye on Hyrule's behavior. Being a captain in charge of so many, he can spot a shift in confidence from a mile away, "You have been gone for a while."
"We're not going to be - I don't know - arrested on the spot or anything, right?" Legend asks, his focus more on the guards who maintain obvious glaring suspicions towards the group despite allowing them inside once confirming their famed hero's identity.
"Why would we be arrested?"
"You mentioned how much of a hardass your Sovereign can be," The Vet clarifies with a casual shrug, "And a paranoid one, too, if these guards leave anything to the imagination. Leaders like that don't usually need much reason to throw someone in a dungeon. Nine random heroes showing up while claiming to be from different timelines, all chasing some shadow lizard through magic portals? We'll sound insane."
Hyrule frowns and maybe even takes some offense to Legend's observations which is why his rebuttal is so swift, "They -...They aren't like that! The previous King died suddenly. They were forced to take on the throne without much notice and at a young age, too! After everything Ganon put this kingdom through - Of course they're going to be paranoid, but they're reasonable and fair. There's nothing to worry about. Besides, we don't have to mention the exact reasoning for our meeting. I just...I would just like to see them while I can…"
The red on Hyrule's cheeks would've no doubt been noticed if not for the Chain's collective attention being stolen elsewhere, focused upon a pair of large doors that open into the Castle's throne room. Inside, a series of guards line the walls and at the opposite end sits the very subject of their conversation.
Your expression is stern and cold as you sit upon your claim dressed in expensive, colorful garments fitting for a proper monarch of your time. The golden crown upon your head shimmers in torch light, yet its glow is quickly outshined by your eyes which go wide with delight once you recognize your hero amongst this crowd of ragtag travelers.
"Link…!" In an instant, you rise, your smile as grand as your divine beauty. Whether you gracefully walk or float down the stairs, there would be no visual difference. What is true is that you meet Hyrule at the bottom of those four measly steps, welcoming him with a strong embrace he's eager to return.
"...Your Majesty..." He doesn't realize just how quiet his voice is, whispered beside your ear as he forgets about the world while in your arms again. Oh, how he's missed this feeling!
The Chain is left in awe - No, it would be more accurate to say they're completely dumbfounded. Hyrule has always spoken favorably about the Royal Family of his time, tying especially pleasant compliments to the kingdom’s head. As stern as he admits you can appear, only good things have been attached to your name from your wise leadership to the love you hold towards your people, however not once - not a single murmur or breath - had ever dared mention your very apparent fondness for each other which certainly goes beyond the ordinary relationship of a monarch and their realm’s savior.
Even after your embrace, it's obvious that you hold nothing except the greatest of affections towards your hero. You look at him as if he's the sun that gives your kingdom life; the courage that keeps you going despite such challenging times. Hyrule's, of course, no better when it comes to you. It's not until now that his friend's realize they're previous mistake in assuming he was afraid to see you. No, that wasn't fear before, it was shyness. The thought of you had him feeling both delighted and sheepish. Now that he's here, though, his grin is uncontrollable.
"Your Majesty, I'd like to meet the friends I've been traveling with -"
"- A Sovereign?! You're dating the freaking Sovereign and you didn't think to mention that small detail earlier?!" Legend suddenly shouts, demolishing the silence that had befallen the Chain.
He can’t help it! He feels utterly scammed! Hyrule had told everyone a great deal about his kingdom’s Sovereign, yet had only confessed to his predecessor during a late night heart-to-heart that he holds deep feelings towards a mysterious someone back home; someone he fears telling of his secret endearment. Not once - Not a single damn time - had he so much as let on that they’re the same person!
Legend isn’t sure what strikes his nerves more: the fact that Hyrule would be dumb enough not to add the important context that it’s royalty he’s in love with or that he’s dense enough to somehow believe you don’t love him back despite it being clear you’re totally whipped for him! Is he blind? Completely and utterly dull in the brain?!
Poor Hyrule's whole face explodes in red after Legend's outburst, and his condition is made no better when the others add in their own comments to this already awkward situation.
"Now it makes sense why you wanted to come here so badly," Wild nods in understanding, having previously been confused as to why Hyrule would care to go out of his way to let the royal family know of his whereabouts if he had no ties to them.
"To think our humble traveler could land a monarch. I mean, good for you and all," Warrior crosses his arms with a smirk, hoping to mask his slight jealousy.
The Traveler is left stammering for a response, finding himself suddenly overwhelmed.
"‘Dating’? Well, this is certainly news to me," You frown with a hand placed delicately above your heart. Turning to your hero, you can only look betrayed, "Link, I would've hoped you'd tell me. I could've cleared more of my schedule to be with you in that case."
"E-EH?!"
"And all those suitors the advisors have been arranging - I’ll have to tell them to abandon their efforts! Excellent, seeing as I didn’t truly care for their match-making attempts,” You huff, not giving Hyrule anytime to explain himself as you get right to business, waving your maid over to make a note, “But that should free up a considerable amount of my time…Will you and your friends be staying long? I can have the kitchen staff whip up a nice feast for later if you do.”
“Um -”
“- Can we?! My feet are aching!” Wind whines, practically deflating on the spot. The only thing holding him up is Warrior who scowls at his poor manners and forces him to stand upright.
Time is quick to step in front of the group and bow, hoping you dismiss their lack of grace, “If you don’t mind, Your Majesty. We wouldn’t want to trouble you.”
“Not at all. It isn't often that we receive guests. I’ll have word sent to the kitchen right away. In the meantime, Lady Impa here can show you to a room where you may rest,” You finish writing on the paper she holds, allowing her to take both the paper and quill before once again giving your full attention to the travelers, “I have a meeting with the Zora Queen in precisely ten minutes, but following that the rest of my afternoon should be clear.”
You then face Hyrule, smirking at his flustered state, “Once that meeting is over, my time is yours, Link, if you wish to fill me in on your recent endeavors. I must say, I’m particularly interested in learning just how long we’ve supposedly been dating for.”
“...R - Right…Of course…” The poor boy squeaks, unable to process many thoughts beyond the feeling of his face overheating when you press a quick kiss to his cheek before leaving the room with your guards. Even the weight of Legend’s arm over his shoulder is barely enough to break him from his trance when the past hero leans in with a smug whisper:
“You’re welcome, buddy.”
Tumblr media
From the moment he first stepped through that last portal, Sky has been radiating with pure glee. Anyone could understand why. He’s finally returned to Skyloft, a place he’s been missing so dearly ever since the start of this adventure months ago. Of course, home isn’t the only thing he’s been dying to be apart from.
Most of the other Links have long taken notice to Sky’s heartache which has been poorly hidden behind dreary melodies played on his harp and heaps of carved projects to distract from lonesome silence; somebody’s been on his mind, their absences from his life slowly driving him insane despite his efforts to remain focused.
That said, it’s no wonder that Sky is excited to be home again, moving at a hasty pace some assumed he’d be incapable of. Even the jolly greetings and curious questions from locals don’t slow him down much, his steps swift in bringing him to the doorstep of a brightly colored home no different from the many others that surround it, but it’s still special for what it holds inside.
There’s a short internal debate to be seen on Sky’s face - one where he hesitates to open the door because wouldn’t that be rude to simply invite himself into someone else’s house unannounced? Then again, it’s not like proper manners have ever stopped him before, and they won’t start today. He decides to impatiently let himself in. Forgiveness can be sought after later.
Every ache of his travel-worn body and each gloomy thought surrounding his collective adventures melt away like magic by the mere sight of you. You must’ve just been about to leave - that or you recently arrived home, because you’re still in your knight’s uniform, caught mid-adjusting your belt when you look up at the man standing in your doorway.
Surprised for sure, yet it’s also a welcomed feeling when you rush to meet your lover half-way. There’s no words for the amount of joy you feel in holding him tight, possibly even shedding a few tears as he decorates your face in dozens of butterfly kisses, one for each second he’s thought of you while apart.
It takes some time and a loud clearing of someone’s throat for the Hero of Sky to remember his companions who all wait awkwardly around the doorway. Even when snapped out of his trance, he’s still grinning ear-to-ear like a lovestruck fool, his arm unmoving from where it remains wrapped around your waist as he introduces you.
Needless to say, it’s nice to finally be able to put a face to the name sighed so often. You’re sociable and polite, yet if that sword upon your back is any indication, you must be a strong fighter to have secured yourself a position amongst the knights of Skyloft.
To the Chain’s luck, it turns out you had just arrived home which grants them plenty of time to bend your ear. They have lots of questions, their curiosity only being natural since your place on the timeline is so different from their own. They ask about your life in the clouds, job as a knight, and most importantly, your relationship with Sky who’s thrilled to expand upon such a wonderful topic himself by sharing his own honored memories.
“‘seems our Skylofian here is truly whipped,” Twilight chuckles at the end of Sky’s latest story, although truthfully he’s starting to have trouble hiding his boredom.
At this point, Sky’s been rambling about his affections towards you for well over an hour, sparing no detail from your first meeting as children to practically each and every date you’ve shared since becoming more than friends. As happy as the boys are for him - truly, they are - they do have their limits for how much lovey-dovey they can take in one day. Legend in particular looks like he’s seconds away from banging his head against the table.
“I am~” Sky exhales lovingly while staring at you with hearts in his eyes. You find his attention endearing and give his hand a squeeze as it sits intertwined with yours on your lap.
“So, when’s the wedding?” Time queries, half-teasing and half-genuine.
“Oh, I don’t know…” You scratch the back of your head bashfully, but when your attention falls back to Sky, you find him still staring at you, this time with a pout no different from a baby remlit’s. Rolling your eyes, you lean into him with a dramatized sigh, “He’d have to ask me first, but I’m hoping being around you eight will give him the courage to do so soon. We’re only getting older, after all.”
“Why drag your feet? You’re clearly in love.”
“You’ve got a willin’ partner right here. No need to hesitate.”
“You know, we’ve passed a few merchants who sell rings during our journey.”
“Yeah, cheaply made ones. If you want something fancy, Castle Town is the place to go.”
“Not too fancy. A simple yet well-thought out gesture can go a long way.”
“A strong protection spell wouldn’t hurt, though.”
“I know a Gerudo who handcrafts the most beautiful jewelry. If we end up in my Hyrule, I could introduce you.”
“Oh, or Tetra’s crew has a TON of jewelry! Maybe you can find a nice ring in their stash?”
Sky laughs awkwardly as the other heroes suddenly bombard him with their ‘helpful’ suggestions, chattering away as they begin putting together the pieces for a proper proposal. When he glances your way, you’re not-so-subtly hiding your amused smile behind your hand, clearly looking forward to whatever plan they end up holding him to later. Hopefully, you won’t have to wait long to find out.
Tumblr media
Wind’s destination isn’t too far from the last portal opened which is good because the others have a hard time keeping up with the younger boy who effortlessly dashes across the deep sand-covered beach, heading directly to one of the few huts on this small island they’ve found themselves on.
He doesn’t wait for his companions to catch up. He might not have even noticed they fell behind. His focus is primarily on reaching home, practically overboiling with excitement at the prospect of seeing his family again. It’s always a relief for his dear grandmother to see him safe, shedding many tears as she hugs her grandson with a grip unthought of for a little old woman.
Wind’s grandmother has a list of questions she asks at the speed of light which must not be unusual seeing as he answers each just as skillfully, telling her where he’s been, who he’s been with, and confirming that yes, he’s well fed. Of course, it’s only natural that the same questions are also asked of each and every hero who steps through her front door, after all, curiosity is second only to her naturally nurturing spirit. Who cares how old some of them are? No matter the age, they’re no different than her grandson in her eyes!
A sudden shrill of jubilation scares the group half to death mere milliseconds before a small girl comes racing through the front door, leaping into her older brother’s arms with similar cries about how much she’s missed him. She’s followed by another adult who’s much calmer in their approach, yet nevertheless gleefully smiling as they eagerly accept their turn in hugging the teen while welcoming him home.
You attend to Wind tenderly, quickly pulling away from the hug to check over his face and account for any new scars. Your hand then lingers on his cheek as you sigh at his smiled reassurances, looking down upon him with an amount of love and care not too far off from how his own grandmother had.
It’s only after ensuring his well-being that you address his traveling companions. You’re barely fazed by the large group when you introduce yourself, having become accustomed to Wind’s strange ability to make friends with almost anyone during his adventures. They seem to be a bunch of respectable young men, anyway, judging on their politeness, and as you tell them, friends of Wind’s are always welcomed.
After introductions - which are short seeing as most in this room share the same name - Wind’s grandmother suggests a tour be given to your visitors. Being such a small community on a more lonesome edge of the map, newcomers are rare, so Wind and Aryall immediately leap at the chance to show their new friends around the island that they love. Who would you be to deny their adorable puppy-dog eyes?
Realistically, there isn’t that much to see aside from a few landmarks, interesting locals, and a population of chubby pigs, however if there’s any benefit to being surrounded by an ocean, it’s that there’s lots of good places to swim and seeing as most of the Links are long overdue for some quality time spent as normal teenagers, they’re happy for the break.
Most of the boys partake in jumping from the rocks to see who can create the biggest splash, although Legend and Sky favor staying on land to help Aryall build a sandcastle for her seagull friends. You, meanwhile, relax in the sun, keeping a careful eye on all activities which has simply become second nature to you at this point. While Wind may be a fourteen-year-old who has sailed across the entire ocean, you don’t think you’ll ever stop worrying for his safety.
“Those kids seem rather fond of you.”
You glance up to the oldest Link of the group - you believe you heard the other’s refer to him as ‘Time’ - as he invites himself to sit next to you in the sand. Despite several pleas for the other boys, he had turned down their attempts at getting him in the water. Maybe for the best, since they’re now starting to toss each other off the rocks.
“I would hope so. I’ve known them both since before they could walk.”
“I take it you’re their guardian?”
Humming at his observation, you turn back to watch the younger kids and teens, “...People on our island have always kept an eye out for each other, but…Well, when Link and Aryall’s parents passed, I guess you could say I felt extra inclined to help.
“I don’t have any family of my own here and there’s only so much their poor grandma can do at her age. Unfortunately, keeping up with two lively kids can be a struggle for her, so I’ve done what I can to remove some of that stress from her shoulders. With no kids of my own, I have the time and quite frankly, I enjoy the opportunity to feel…-”
“- To feel like a parent?”
“...Yeah…” You frown, pulling your knees to your chest with a sigh, “Of course, I don’t go around calling myself that. I wouldn’t want to overstep any boundaries, you know? Especially not for Link. Aryall - She was so young when they lost their parents, so I think it’s always been easier for her to see me as fitting the role, but Link…He was five. He still remembers them, so I doubt he’ll ever exactly see me as any kind of replacement.”
“I wouldn’t say that,” Time objects kindly, following your gaze out to where Wind fights to wiggle himself out of Warrior’s grip. Seconds before he can be pushed off the rock, Wild and Twilight come up behind the two, shoving Warrior overboard just as Wind slips away, “I suppose I can’t speak directly for him, but I can say he refers to you as his parent quite frequently around us.”
“...Does he?” You blink in surprise. Wind’s never said anything in particular that would make you think he sees you in that light, but now that you think about it, when you first met Tetra, she referred to you as Wind’s parent, too. Did she say it out of mistaken observation like you assumed then or because Wind told her?
“From the sounds of it, you’ve made quite the impact on his life, one he admires greatly.”
You once again look back to the group, catching Wind’s eyes. He perks up, immediately waving as he shouts for you ‘Watch this!’ before running and leaping into the water with a giant cannonball and nearly on top of Warrior’s head much to the older boy’s annoyance. Once resurfacing, he searches for your attention and beams when he finds your proud smile reflecting back at him.
You’re thankful that he becomes distracted by the other boys jumping in, because as soon as he looks away, you can feel yourself becoming teary eyed. Perhaps you’ve been overthinking things this entire time. You were so focused on giving him space and not forcing a relationship that you failed to pick up on the little signs that he’s already accepted you. Wind has always been close to you, never shying away from hugs after his adventures while always seeking both your attention and approval; something he only does with his family.

I know it’s been done before but the Warriors angst of Mask being a bratty kid and saying he hates him at some point during the war and like, Wars knows it’s because Mask is a kid and they’re good after but it kinda haunts them both because “what if I was the worst brother ever”/“I didn’t think about my words and as an adult I know that must’ve really hurt captain and I didn’t even say sorry” until LU and Time cryptically tells Wars he needs to talk to him alone and everyone else is going 👀 to each other (except probably Wind, who knows the History) and Time apologizes and Wars tries to tell him it’s okay but they both cry about
(Time has sat on the side of the bed at night with his head in his hands, upset, and had to explain to Malon it’s because he was a shit when he was 12 and he feels bad about it, she tries her best to reassure him but it’s a load off Time when he comes home and tells her he talked to Wars about it)
i love it when people make mask an angry angsty kid who's very reactionary and like who can blame him what with everything he's been through
i can def see that happening, like kids are brutally honest and say stuff they don't mean all the time, hell even us adults sometimes say hurtful things during a heated moment
i'm obsessed over time spending YEARS thinking about that interaction and internally cringing over it
like the fact he stayed awake next to malon for hours thinking about it and forever feeling guilty over not apologizing and understanding the captain now that he's an adult and malon trying to console him is taking me out cause I've been there lmao
i can def see mask eventually telling wind about it and how he feels guilty he said that and wind giving him big bro advice on how to apologize and mask is like determined to do it but then the war gets too intense and eventually it ends and mask is send back to his timeline and oh he never got to apologize :(
so time getting the chance to talk to wars thanks to LU and finally apologizing (he never forgot wind's advice over how to do it lmao) is just so OOOUGH
wind watching the entire thing from the background like a proud big bro like hell yeah he finally did what i told him to lol

In LU fics, when the chain met the AOC link, they have met Wild and have traveled with them for a bit.
I just think it would be cool to explore if the chain meets AOC Link first, and then meet Wild.
You would have a Link (from here on called Unity) who it still under the pressure of the King and kingdom, who is quiet but worries greatly. A link who is used to dimensional intentions and time travel.
Unity gets to know the chain, often accompanies Warriors given familiar experiences, with combat and being in the army. Not sure how Unity would interact with the rest of the chain.
The fun part comes to went they arrive in Wilds hyrule, and they get to see what would have happened if Unity failed…
(Curious as to how Time would react to the revelation of the timeline split, and how they would talk to Unity and Wild, given his experience with coping with the what ifs)

Their fashion sense has to be studied
In the oracle of ages game link fights a villainess named Veran
Who had nothing better to do like the average side villain than try bringing back ganon by lighting the flame of sorrow
And Veran looks like time guardian Cia from hyrule warriors with an even more horrendous fashion sense
Like look at this
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They look HORRIBLE (and are definitely banned from hytopia ) but they look eerily similar and are both dark sorceresses
And the worst part they are both timeline abusers who recklessly annihilate time like nobody’s business
And the way they interact with link is similar but different … Veran is all about child abuse just for the fun of it (like girl wanted to kill a helpless baby … CANONICALLY NO FUCKING JOKE )
Cia actually tried to get ganon back and break the seals separating ganon's soul
Veran lighted only the flame of sorrow and left the flame of destruction and despair to ganon's moms and general onox.
The flames all lighted will bring back ganon at the expense of Zelda’s life
So imagine the sheer horror in war's face if legend tells him about the eccentric looking dark time abusing witch who possessed the time guardian and along with other villains tried to bring back ganon and messed up time during it who also tried to kill him when he was a literal baby and also tried to sacrifice Zelda
Sounds familiar…?
Uncomfortably familiar
And somehow even worse than even his own war of eras
Did cia fuck around with time more than just his own era !?!?!
Was that witch Veran also Cia!?!?
What does legend mean with getting nearly killed as a baby by a time traveling witch!?!?
What is going on?

Say what you will about 2012 but they gave Shredder the funniest coworkers ever. Imagine you’re him. You’re a man twisted by grief and delusion on a violent quest for revenge, and every day you wake up to see a rhino and a warthog making out in the hallways. For once you don’t even want to fucking deal with that shit so you try get Bradford to do it and find him in the standard issued Foot Clan bathroom shakily signing his old photos and ugly crying to the outro song of a cartoon he made in the 80s. Your daughter is either being mind controlled or a snake depending on the timeline so forget that, and when you get back to Bebop and Rocksteady (still making out) Xever is now watching nearby in sunglasses and reclining in a deck chair. When you ask him why he replies he couldn’t get past them in the hallway so he decided to make himself comfortable. Tiger Claw is apparently the only somewhat what normal employee you have (ignoring the warrior cats roleplay) but every interaction leaves you with the feeling he’s one step away from making a cult about you as soon as you turn your back. Baxter’s gaslighting you.

SWTOR: Sith Inquisitor OC Headcanons
Tumblr media
Hi everyone! This is the third time I've completed the Sith Inquisitor storyline and the first time I've running the DLC KOTFE/KOTET. So, in order to save and maybe share my vision of my character in the game, I have compiled a list of headcanons :Р
Noted: i'm not a native speaker of english and all this headcannons runs only in my mind, so don't take them too seriously pls
Spoiler alert under the cut (and a few screenshots from a game too)
Sith Inqusitor OC Headcanons
Meet Ha'leth Kallig, Darth Nox, Alliance Commander and so go on. The Sith on dark side, but making a bunch of "light" choices just becouse they profitable (and she's reasonable)
Woman sith inquisitor (oh i love so much her voice ❤)
So... i imagine she's much older, than in canon. Like if all story classes starts mid Cold War between Republic and Empire, i think my version have a seat in a dark council in the mid of war (near 3670, 11 years after Sith returns Korriban) Yes, its breaks the timeline, but she is old pretty lady in my head, and i can't change this
I can't create the proper version in game (a lot because its no long flat hairstyles) so i have a few pictures
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fashion lady 💅 Usually wears a long dress with slits, mid-thigh boots, mid-shoulder gloves and a cape. Sometimes changes to something close to a "hakama" (if you've watched the Ahsoka series - Morgan Elsbeth wears something similar). Maybe someday I'll draw all of this
Had a purple sword during acolyte, serving Zash and hunting Thanaton, now she has white (cos of her "balance")
I guess she really cares about her crew, even if she is on a dark side. Alliance included
Continues to search for Force Ghosts, there is no reason why the Sith Lord would not do this after defeating Thanaton "SI to Valkorion: - I always hoped to add your spirit to my collection Valcorion: - I would say the same"
Space stand up comedian, jokes on everything, black humor and sarcastic
Tumblr media Tumblr media
DiFfErentLy RaTioNal, "Hippity Hoppity, this ghost is now my property" (c) - during the original storyline
Ice cream lover, of course
Chill guy vibes sometimes
I think it was a long time since she became a member of the Dark Council and before the Eternal Empire attacked. And all this time the pyramid of ancient knowledge was under her control and I think she learned a lot about the philosophy of the Sith, ancient techniques, etc.
Yes, in my story she is the leader of the Alliance, despite the fact that other forse-user characters (Jedi Knight, Jedi Consular, Sith Warrior) in my headcanons also take part in it
I think she is definitely chaotic but rational in managing the alliance. I haven't reached the end of the story yet, but in my mind she is the perfect candidate for the Eternal Throne.
She is not human anymore. Not after the Rakata machine changed her. I think sometimes she would appeal to this in her dialogues with other characters. In my head - this is another reason why she at 60+ looks at most 30
Did I not say? At the time of the events of KOTFE she should be somewhere around 63))
Definitely likes big machines)) (i'd like to think that exposes for Darth Malgus too 🤣)
Tumblr media
Definitely likes ancient stories, artifacts and history.
"Oh dear", "Sweetheart" and any other embarrassing appeal for literally everyone
Flirts with everything that moves (and what doesn't move, she moves and flirts with) (Ah, i can't wait to return of Malgus further on in the plot, because flirting with him is something she would definitely do in every interaction)
Return to Dromund Cass to be shot down in Empress Acina's shuttle and crash into the jungle: "Ah, at least the Sith Empire hasn't changed too much in my absence"
Well, according to canon, all four force-user characters are the most powerful force-users in the galaxy. But considering that Valkorion is sitting in the Commander's head + her additional "ghosts of the Sith Lords on the wire" make her, if not the strongest, then at least the most dangerous of them by the end of the story
As I said before - all headcanons are just part of the story in my head that i want to share cos sith inqusutor is my favorite story) I think I'll definitely post a couple more heads up about her or heads up about other SWTOR characters later (at least when I finish the story) I also plan to sketch a couple of moments, because I really want to

Following this post
Not showing more about the alternate timeline, why it ended up so different and even looking as an utopia. Vi's death couldn't be the only thing, as far as we know, both timelines were the same until that point. It's funny they tried to make MARCUS feel sad because a Zaunite kid dying while they were robbing in a Piltover apartment. Something else should've been different in that universe to make it believable
Sky "dying" and no one talks about her until Viktor mentions her after he's brought back by Jayce in the first episode of season 2
Not showing Jinx having any dilemma about wearing an enforcer's uniform in Act II. They've could shown it, and Jinx doing it anyway because it meant saving Isha
Jinx not having as much hallucinations as season 1. Silco died because of her, everyone expected she'd be even worse. As much as I personally liked seeing her healthier in Act II, it was weird
Making Vi an alcoholic and not mentioning it again after Jinx briefly said she found Vi passed out
Focusing too much on Ekko and Powder's relationship in the alternate timeline. Again, another thing they rushed because they didn't develop it properly. I know it's LOL accurate but in Arcane they weren't that close. They should've put more focus on Benzo and maybe showing the firelights in the alternate timeline instead of their romantic relationship. This goes the same for Powder, I wanted to see more of her outside her relationship with Ekko. Considering only what we saw in both seasons of Arcane, Timebomb came out of nowhere for me, or at best, being forced.
NO ONE except Jinx calling out Vi for joining the enforcers. Sevika and Ekko would've done it, but they didn't even let them interact.
WHY Caitlyn didn't tell Vi she's sure Jinx is alive???? I know it was meant for the audience but come on, not telling Vi is weird. If they wanted to only show the audience, they've could done it through another way, not by Cait.
When Vi and Caitlyn reunited and were planning to betray Ambessa together, Caitlyn didn't hesitate to hit Vi with her gun AGAIN. Vi looked surprised, maybe because she didn't expect to be hit that hard? It would've been such a good moment to show Caitlyn's supposed remorse through her actions. You know, the "show don't tell" so many fans say. If anything, she showed she doesn't have any problem in hitting Vi with her gun right in the face, and even having the nerve to shrug it off, as if it was Vi's fault for asking for it.
As much as I liked Isha's death from an animation and soundtrack point, why did she shoot Warwick? Yes, he was aggressive but why she used her only chance to shoot at Warwick and not Ambessa? Or any other of her warriors. She was bonding with him prior to the attack, it's a bit weird she went from that to kill him, she saw how important he was to Jinx.
I'll keep updating the list

Can I hear your thoughts on this panel?
Tumblr media
I feel that Hyrule looking at Legend as Four says that is important somehow... What do you think?
Hmmm
Well one thing I’ve noticed in the last couple of updates is Hyrule and Legend have been around each other A LOT
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Practically ever since Hyrule finished healing Twilight and helping Four they’ve been hanging around each other. In close proximity too. Which, given that Legend usually only stands close to the people he trusts (principally Sky) is a big deal.
If Dawn pt. 5 is any indication, it seems that Hyrule is mostly initiating this lol
Tumblr media
But Legend is letting him
Excuse me while I fangirl over the downfall duo for a moment. ALDNDLSDJSLDNSL THE BROTHERS EVER
Ahem ok let’s continue
Now, I’m overdue for a LU reread so correct me if I’m wrong BUT I seem to recall that they’ve never stayed this close to each other before. Could just be that they take comfort in one another’s presence. Seeing the panel you shared, though, I’m gonna say it’s more than that.
Idk if they’ve figured out their place in the timeline yet (I’m assuming not due to how everyone acted in Timeline Talk pt. 1). That doesn’t mean, however, that they haven’t begun to guess. Jojo has hinted at many interactions that the Links have had offscreen. Plus, Legend and Hyrule met up before they ran into the others. They’ve had time to get to know each other. I guarantee they’ve got suspicions about their places in time.
Which leads me to believe Hyrule is afraid of losing Legend. He must have figured out that Legend was a hero sometime before his journey began. Meaning, somewhere along the way he perished and the darkness he struggled so hard against spread over Hyrule anew. With Twilight just having escaped death (plus the cryptic comments he continues to make regarding Time’s fate), I’m sure untimely demises are on Hyrule’s mind.
I don’t think he knows Legend’s fate (unless there’s something in his games that hints toward the previous hero’s fate). But I believe he wants to. I can’t be the only one who sees the striking similarities between Legend and Time. He likely came to the realization that a guy like Legend will most likely die a wanderer or a warrior (doesn’t mean he did. I don’t like to think he did. One blorbo with a tragic end is enough XD But still). And being a hero and Legend’s friend he’s wondering if maybe, just maybe he can change that.
If it’s possible to know a future occurrence, it could be possible to transform it, right?

You recently said ur an encyclopedia of lightcannon. So I want to know what light cannon media is there, also just what lux media is there. New to the fandom and I just want all the canon lux stuff to get a solid grasp on what exists. also maybe a reading order/watch order.
Oh gosh. So this is the tricky thing with Lux, she's one of the oldest champions in League of Legends so she has a LOT of lore, but it's all scattered around.
She also has a TON of skins, she's one of the most popular champions for new skins to the point that it's almost a meme, so there are a LOT of Alternate Universe Luxes out there, and one of them (Star Guardian) is what popularized (but didn't actually start) the Lightcannon ship.
You can find a good chunk of her core Runeterra lore on her Universe page. I recommend all of the material written by Graham McNeill, including her bio and the "For Demacia" story. "Last Light" and "Flesh and Stone" are also excellent.
The "LUX" comic produced with Marvel, however, was where her story (and all of Demacia's) kicked up a notch, with the introduction of Sylas of Dregbourne, an imprisoned mage who teaches Lux how to control her power and introduces her to the truth about Demacia's brutal persecution of mages like both of them.
That said, even though Very Important Story Things happen in the Lux comic, there's a general consensus among Lux/lightcannon fans that the comic isn't very well written and mischaracterizes both Lux and Sylas pretty badly.
The Katarina comic retells some of the same events from the POV of infamous Noxian assassin, Katarina DuCoteau, and Lux does briefly appear in it, and her interaction with Katarina is pretty freaking great. So I recommend looking at this one, it's much better than the Lux one overall.
After that, the Riot Forge game studio (which has now been shuttered) produced a spinoff game starring Sylas called The Mageseeker.
Tumblr media
This is actually a really rad little game that I recommend to anyone, especially anyone interested in Demacia lore or in any of the characters involved.
Lux is a prominent character, though she only appears pretty late into the story, and it follows up on the fallout from Lux and Sylas's friendship, the mage rebellion, and Sylas's betrayal of Lux in a way that is just really well done and IMO does justice to both characters.
(as well as making even more explicit than the Kat comic did that their relationship was only ever a platonic friendship/mentor relationship, but I digress)
It also leaves Lux in a really, REALLY interesting position in terms of her story and her role in Demacia, that I think has a lot of story meat, and that has factored into a lot of Lightcannon fics especially post Season Two.
It hasn't been officially explored from there, though. The next (and chronologically final) time we see Lux is in the "Warriors" promo video from Season 2020:
youtube
...where her truce with Sylas from the Mageseeker game doesn't seem to have lasted too long 😮
It's also probably the most baddass Lux we've seen depicted yet.
Legends of Runeterra, the spinoff card game, also does a couple of good Lux stories, including the recent "Lux Illuminated" where we see Lux dreaming (literally, she's in her dreams) of her idealized Demacia, where she's confident and powerful and adored for her magic instead of shunned.
Tumblr media
...only for a creeping shadow to infiltrate her perfect world.
This is also where we get the only 'canon' interactions with Ezreal in the main timeline, maybe, and she's still shooting that poor boy down in flames 💔❤️‍🔥🔥even in her dreams. Ouch.
I'll talk about Lux AUs / skinlines in a different post if you wanna, because that's a whole other kettle of fish, but for Canon Lux, that's your main go to outside of her League/LoR voice lines.
Hope it helps give a picture!
