I work at a fashion retailer. The company was recently passed on to a new CEO who is making a lot of changes. This includes the dress code. Among other things, shorts and skirts MUST reach knee length. Who is going to tell then that 1) that no longer classifies as shorts and 2) that sounds like the most unfashionable thing possible to wear. If I walk into a fashion retailer and see someone wearing knee length Jean shorts I am not going to trust them to help me put together a fashionable outfit. They claim these changes are based on customer feedback. Who the fuck are we catering to here, middle aged conservative white women? The most unfashionable demographic in the god damn country?????? Fucking hello?????

I would like to be clear first of all that i am against dress codes beyond, like, you need to be wearing shoes and enough clothing to qualify as legally dressed wherever you are. But I still think about this time on a message board when this lady was complaining about not being let into what was at the time probably the fanciest restaurant in Boston because of how she was dressed and she said "I was wearing my nicest red sox outfit!" and if that isnt the most Bostonian thing i have ever heard, man 😂
