the most difficult thing about growing as a person socially, as in getting out of your shell and noticing that you are, is that there will still be times when it doesn’t feel like you’ve grown at all! times when you can’t really connect with anyone around you, times when you fail to enter into an existing conversation, times when you say the wrong thing (or nothing at all when in hindsight you probably should’ve). but that’s also kind of the best thing, because that’s the thing that helps you realize that sometimes, it’s not you or your lack of skills or any shortcoming. sometimes certain environments just aren’t for you and certain people aren’t your people, and that’s okay. that’s human. it’s okay to not feel the progress you have made all the time.

Katniss tried to take Prim hunting exactly once, and it went about as well as expected - she failed to shoot anything and burst into tears when Katniss showed her how to skin a rabbit. On the way back they found a lost colt with an ear bitten off and a nasty set of claw marks on its flank. Katniss was happy to just leave it, but Prim insisted they nurse it back to health.

Thus began the long and turbulent relationship of Katniss and Buttercup. Mortal enemies to the bitter end, they've entered an uneasy truce only through their love of Primrose; Katniss promises not to shoot the damn thing, and he in turn tries to resist trampling her. (He'll still try to throw her off now and again, of course. A horse has his pride.)

Thinking abt like celeb interviews mc and the boys and it’s like a “what would you like to see me in/how would u dress me” thing and

• Sylus dresses mc up in some expensive cocktail type dress in a deep red basically her companion outfit but decked out all pretty lol

• Rafayel dresses her in some pricey name brand clothes that cost more than her apartment and everything inside but damn does she look good

• Zayne gets her something a bit more practical but still stylish maybe something in grays w a pop of color maybe something w some slight ruffles idk

• and Xavier. Sweet Xavier. Puts her in comfy lounge clothes. Straight pjs lmao. Funny how they kinda resemble a pair he owns.

And everyone’s all negging him and making fun but he’s justifying it and defending himself and mean while mc’s getting dressed and we just hear her yell “Caleb you’re out of your fucking mind!!” And we cut to the privacy screen and she just tosses a set of clothes into the interview for and it’s just a set of Lacy lingerie and everyone looks at Caleb who has a giant smug ass grin and says the same thing as Xavier.

“Hey, y’all said what ever We want to see her in.”
