never volunteer for anything university related man. also go listen to this
#first i thought oh it would just be this one poster. why not. i can do that. i have time. so i did#they told me the general aesthetic and no further details so i thought‚ oh‚ okay‚ so i can basically freestyle this. yknow‚ like an idiot#they told me to change the color scheme‚ the font‚ the color of the font too‚ pretty much redo the entire poster#and these are notes i would be getting late at night. like around 12-2am. i had to revise that poster a shitload of times and was#tired. and then i was done and i thought Welp! at least that's over!#little did i know they were actually planning for me to do MORE WORK: design diplomas/certificates and make one for all the people needed#So here i am 12 diplomas 24 certificates‚ 31 letter of thanks later#all done in one person. all done in two days (deadline was until the end of the week but i couldnt start until at least thursday)#I couldnt start because they sent me the wrong list of people first. so i had to cram(heh) a lot. of hours of work in these past 2 days#Yknow at least they liked my design the first time and i didnt have to revise anything. but ohhhh the fucking. filling out the papers for#each person. absolutely daunting. especially in something like ibispaint x that doesnt have an option to align text to the center#of the canvas. which is more my fault because i am an ibispaint x user. but anyway#They sent me the correct official document. it had incomplete information because they just didnt write patronymics or grades in the#official document. so i had to go and check the first table and figure out everyone's information myself#but the thing is that‚ that table must've been written by the students/participants because stuff like Name Of University wasn't consistent#some literally wrote their school's names wrong and i had to double-check that and fix that for the certificates. fine. whatever#but remember the official document? now imagine it even MORE incomplete because there is a list of at least 10 people and just their#SURNAMES AND INITIALS. so like a digital archeologist i had to go and dig up the names and patronymics of teachers and students i've never#heard of in my fucking life. i had to ask my older friends like Hey is there any chance you know the patronymic of your groupmate thanks???#and the cherry on top. is that the Official Document has a bunch of grammatical errors in it. the most fucking basic ones.#'анастасие' instead of 'анастасии'‚ 'преподователь' instead of 'преподаватель'#so i had to look out for those TOO‚ While Tired (i almost copied the mistakes because all of my work required referencing the doc#but they couldnt even write a fucking grammatically correct or consistent doc so that's nice)#anyways i sent all 67 files and my supervisor said she will look over them 'during the evening'#I dont know what her fucking definition of evening is considering it's already 6pm. i guess i expect to be messaged at 2am once more to fix#some inconsequential bullshit#let's just say i am just a liiiiiittle bit . just sliiightly . burnt out#Call me a vessel the way im full of void but also completely hollow#alas . at least there is fanmade threat music to listen to on loop#crammerposting

Today's mix:
Scratch & Break 1983 Hip Hop / Synthpop / Electro / New Wave / Funk / Disco / Pop
God, this record really is just so emblematic of what the 80s were all about, folks. Nowadays you have more and more DJs who fit a specific niche and only play one type of music that's set to one type of vibe, but back in the 80s, it was really pretty much 'anything goes,' and everyone was totally fine with it. Disco, synthpop, new wave, electro, funk, hip hop, post-disco, dance-pop, hi-NRG, dance-rock, freestyle, house—all this shit and more just coalesced into one big beautiful ball of party music where everything was accepted and embraced. If variety truly is the spice of life, then your typical club dancefloor was never as spicy as it was throughout the 1980s, because the total eclecticism of what used to get played at those venues is basically extinct at this point; and obviously, we very much need that spirit back.
So here's a full slate of dance bangers that was issued in 1983 in West Germany by EMI. Scratch & Break's one glaring flaw is that it's partially mixed horribly, but if the very awkward cut-offs and sharp transitions won't sour you on the whole experience, then you're still in for a full-on treat here, with an excellent blend of bops that hail from the US, the UK, and continental Europe as well.
And, I guess, since the legend is recently departed, we'll start with the one and only Sly Stone here, who isn't on this record himself, but to whom there are a couple superb connections anyway. Directly speaking, there's a group who close out this album called T.B.A. that deliver their own tremendously funky and dancy pop cover of Sly's biggest commercial hit, "Family Affair." I have absolutely no idea who T.B.A. is or are and the only thing that they ever released was this song itself, which is shockingly somehow currently at under 1,000 plays on YouTube. Funky and highly active deep synth bassline, hard snare, vocally monotone female-led verses, coked out electric guitars—just an absolute beast that probably came from somewhere in Europe that makes for pure 80s party bliss 😌.
And the other Sly connection we have is his own cousin, the evidently underrated Moses Tyson, who's had a career that's mixed both gospel and secular. In 1983, he released "Keep Dancin to the Music"—which was very possibly a reference to Sly's own lively funk classic, "Dance to the Music"—and while it's clearly inspired by the synthesizer melody of Prince's "1999," Tyson manages to turn in one of those feelgood funky dance beauts that's made for clapping, stomping, and all-around grooving to with this totally underrated heater of his ☺️.
And there are so many other quality jams on this record that I could keep on gushing over too, but if we wanna get to the hip-hop-ness that you'd probably naturally expect from an album called Scratch & Break that has graffitied album art on it, then another one to definitely look out for is K-9 Corp. + George Clinton's "Dog Talk," which samples Clinton's own electro-funk classic "Atomic Dog," and is another one of these songs by an act that only ever ended up putting out one record while also being another clap-and-stomper too. And there's a bunch of old school pitter-pattered rapping on it as well.
So, maybe you wouldn't expect such a great selection of funky rap, synthpop, disco, new wave, etc. tunes to make its way over onto the record shelves of West Germany in 1983, but I think one common misconception that American folks may have about hip hop in general is that they think it took a while for the music to emanate its way out of the New York area over into Europe. But it's not true at all. Sugarhill Gang's "Rapper's Delight"—the second ever released rap tune in history—fared far better on the commercial charts throughout Europe than it did in the US, and it wasn't very long until others in Europe started rapping on their own records too. Austria's Falco delivered "Der Kommissar" in 1981, for example, before New York acts like Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five and Afrika Bambaataa & The Soulsonic Force would release some of hip hop's earliest classic cornerstones in "The Message" and "Planet Rock," respectively. And so, I think it makes a place like West Germany actually more than well-equipped to manifest a compilation like this. Like, this isn't a corny, inauthentic attempt at introducing this music to this country; they already knew about it and the overall product here is genuinely terrific, real-deal stuff.
Now, if you wanna listen to this album, feel free to message me, because I don't think there's a very easy way to find a copy of it online that you can stream. And not to toot on my own horn here too loudly too, but if you love this eclectic dance concept of the 80s like I do, one of my favorite playlists of mine that I've ever made is crafted in ode to that same exact attitude. A few years ago, I put together something called 1980s NYC Block Party, and I happen to think it's a killer mix of hip hop, dance-pop, disco, post-disco, electro, freestyle, funk, synthpop, house, and new wave. Just set your Spotify crossfade to about 5 or 6 seconds and enjoy a 3-hour-plus journey of 80s party-rocking greatness 👍.
Highlights:
Boytronic - "You" Bandolero - "Paris Latino" Kajagoogoo - "Big Apple" Moses Tyson - "Keep Dancin' to the Music" Heaven 17 - "Crushed By the Wheels of Industry" K-9 Corps + George Clinton - "Dog Talk" Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five - "New York, New York" Thomas Dolby - "Get Out of My Mix" Project Future - "Ray-Gun-Omics" Light of the World - "Jealous Lover" Gang of Four - "Is It Love" T.B.A. - "It's a Family Affair"

okay but wait @bumblepony u GENIUS. you gave me an idea:
mariatommy step up au
in which pro-dancer maria miller is in desperate need of a waltz partner for the american dance championships. to her rescue comes tommy miller, the younger and more troublesome and secretly phenomenal swinging-dancing brother of famous ex swing-dancer, joel miller
guess what i did 😋 i made it long
so we start with pro-dancer maria miller as she wins as many dance titles as she possibly can, trying to prove to her mother that quitting law school for dance was worth it. she’s already been taking home a fuck ton of titles as a ballet and lyrical soloist, but lately she’s been interested in smooth forms of ballroom, like the waltz and tango
a good friend of hers, frank, has been her partner for three months, and they’ve been unbeatable so far. literally every competition she they shows up at, other dancers will groan and rolls their eyes like “aw come on bro this is unFAIR” because they already know who first place is going to: maria motherfucking miller. every goddamn time
then, four titles in and two months away from their biggest competition, frank tragically breaks an ankle doing some stupid gardening shit with bill. and it is exactly that: a tragedy. he’s maria miller’s partner, and now he can no longer be that. he might as well be a dead man
frank makes bill tell maria, both because it was his idea to have sex do work in the garden and because he’s too scared to. when he does, she cusses him out so bad that, for once in his life, he has no grumpy smartass response. maria is fucking pissed—because that entire competition, that title, that trophy is supposed to be fucking hers. they already have the perfect choreography, the perfect costumes, the perfect music, the perfect everything. she’s already made space on her awards wall for the crown, the sash, and three-their trophy. this is a batrayal, frank. how could he do this to her????? how could he?????
but maria miller does not dwell on problems: she fixes them. she has replace bill or withdraw from the competition—which she has never done in her entire life. withdrawing, like losing, is not an option. she needs another partner, and she needs one fast
of course homegirl tess would come through—her best friend, retired fellow dancer, and one of the most reputable talent managers in the region. maria calls tess hoping to get in touch with her ex-partner, joel miller, because she wants only the best. he’s known and respected in the dance world as an amazing swing dancer and phenomenal lead in partner-work—much to her chargrin, unfortunately, he’s not dancing anymore. he’s apparently too busy with a new baby, which—great, beautiful, kids are great—does not help her. maria needs someone available, someone good, and someone now
enter tommy miller 🤠 who maria is at first not even willing to consider, because he’s never danced competitively in his entire fucking life (“are you fucking with me, tess? are you trying to fuck with me? i thought we were past the point of fucking with eachother. i though we were friends.” she says, when tess tells her. she gets an eye-roll in response)
to his credit, tess tells her, he’s been dancing alongside his joel all his life. he’s watched him and learned from him and is apparently just as good—he’s even danced with tess, and he impressed her. this impressed maria. when she asks tess why he hasn’t done anything officially to actually prove himself, tess says he’s “not the competitive type,” which is a major turn-off. maria is more than the competitive type—she’s the competition entirely.
still, tess convinces her to give him a chance. they basically meets blind-date style because tess is just like “dude just trust me trust me TRUST ME. meet him at our studio on saturday and freestyle with him. one song. then tell me what you think”
so maria goes, and she waits. she’s dutifully ten minutes early, as she is to every rehearsal. what would be five minutes before their meet time, she hears the studio doors open behind her and lets herself be only a little pleased that he is early. then she turns around to him—and boy, is she very much so pleased
tommy is broad-shouldered and well-dressed and tall, but not too tall, and well-groomed for a man—especially with one with so much hair. my god, just this man have a beautiful head of hair. as admires him, she also appreciates that (aside from his audaciously hot suede fur-lined jacket and cowboy boots, lord help her), he look’s ready to dance: black loose muscle tank, black breathable joggers, and black sneakers held in his left hand. in his right hand, to her suprise, is a single red rose.
is he fucking with me? she immediately thinks. a rose. a fucking rose?
“what’s that for?”
“uh, the rose? it’s—,” he hesitates, clearly thrown off guard. somehow, with only three measly words, maria notices that his voice is nice and low and gravely and— “it’s for you, ma’am. you’re maria, right?” —southern and sexy and distracting. his voice is far too distracting. it will present problems for her.
“right. i’m maria,” she repeats, mostly to remind herself who she fucking is—maria fucking miller. maria miller, who does not get distracted by tall sexy cowboys at dance rehearsals. “you’re tommy?”
“yes, ma’am.” he has to stop. he has to stop with the ma’am thing. it’s another distractor.
no distractions. she’s at a rehearsal, albiet an unofficial trial one. it is still a rehearsal—one for a competition that she will win.
maria straightens her shoulders, gets her head on straight, and steels her voice to say coldly: “well, tommy, i don’t like flowers. i like trophies. you think you can get me one of those?”
at that, tommy smiles as bright as the sun, white and pearly and perfect. distraction number three. she’s fucked. “i reckon i can,” he says, amused and sure.
“then prove it,” she responds, voice still steely. “let’s dance.”
and they do
for @bumblepony for your amazing writing as always and @marceltheshellwithflipflopson for your loveliness and inspiration and @clickergossip wifey and @ameerawrites miss u baby and @liveandletcry23 MISS U CAT and @hypnotisedfireflies because the work youve been doing with IO????? INCREDIBLE????? its been making me want to get back to writing so bad
all my mariatommy truthers love u guys kiss kiss kiss

thanks @dykesville for tagging me, this was fun! (DISREGARD how my first answer seems to suggest otherwise)
When was the last time you cried? Ough. Um, my grandad died, and then I feeling guilty about how much more of an emotional reaction I had when my dog died about six months ago, and then I started thinking about my dead dog, and then I started crying. Anyway this is getting off to a great start, lets roll on to next question babyy!
Do you have kids? Nope, I'm 24, single, live at home and work a part time minimum wage job, and have in no way figured out my life/what I want my life to be. Don't particularly plan to have kids, but the concept of even thinking about having kids is extremely distant rn.
Do you use sarcasm a lot? I think so? like a normal, british amount, I guess?
What sports do you play? None really, I played Hockey when I was at school, and did a lot of swimming, then in my late teens and early 20s I had some physical health issues that prevented me from doing anything like that, but in the past couple of years I've been building back my muscle and stuff, and at the moment I'm really into going on long walks as I live on the edge of my town and get into the countryside quite easily.
Whats the first thing you notice about people? What they're wearing, usually.
What's your eye colour? Blue.
Scary movies or happy endings? I am a big big coward, so can't really do scary movies - if it's like an unnerving psychological horror sure, but if there's some spooky victorian ghost lady lurking about and the threat jump scares, I'm OUT. I like a happy ending.
Any special talents? I'm a really good cook, bc I have a good palatte, I'm really good at tasting a dish and knowing how it needs to be altered for the flavour balance to be right, and I'm good at knowing what flavours will go well together, and freestyling a meal. Also I can roll my eyes back in my head so only the whites are showing, which is kinda freaky and fun.
Where were you born? Pattaya. (Technically the hospital was in Na Kluea, but it says Pattaya on my passport.)
What are your hobbies? Cooking, Hiking, Video games, Writing, and I've been getting increasingly into photo/video editing stuff as I've been learning how to make gifs, and have been making assets for a tabletop thing (basically an alex rider au) I'm planning to run with my friends.
Do you have pets? Ah.. uh, not anymore. 😅
How tall are you? 5'8", I think?
Favourite subject in school? I'm a humanities girlie, through and through, so English, History, Politics, and Classical civ.
Dream job? I've got two history degrees so would love to make those useful. If I lean in to the fantasy of a 'dream' job where it has none of the actual real life shittyness and I'd magically be great at it, I'd love to be able to write? Or, different fantasy element, just a skill I totally don't have, I think doing historical costuming for tv/stage/movies would be an extremely fun blend of historical research and creativity. Though I can barely sew a button IRL, so that dreams probably a little distant.
tagging @countessrivers and @icebluecyanide or whoever else might want to answer :)

Dream Log: The FRIDAY NIGHT 4-IN-1!!!
(mildly incomprehensible 'playlist dream' that was the aftermath of staying up Too Long)
Revelation Date: September 30, 2023
Part 1: Space Field Trip
-we were going on a field trip to some research station on another planet
-I was VERY excited about this. I could flaunt to all my internet friends that I'm In Space, Boy
-"it's just one window, how bad could it be?" immediately eviscerates everyone in the room
-first thing we did when we got there was start messing around on the weird architecture (which was perfectly fine, I guess?)
-our guide was explaining how this research center used to look just like a really basic apartment (but they did some really nice renovation recently!)
-dropped my pencil between the weird floorboard, when trying to retrieve it I discovered, "Uh Oh! Absolute Solver."
-as the floorboard is turning into a flesh carpet: "guys. guys please. run. actually, don't bother running. we aren't making it out of here anyway."
Part 2: The Grand Backyard Unfunny War
-started out as a thing between me + dad but quickly devolved into a full-on, literal Meme War
-see above, actual famous (dead) meme figures, like doge and the minions, were participating in this glorified food fight.
-I think the goal was to defeat enemies and be the funniest, but all we had were dead memes so it was pretty unfunny.
-I forgot a ton of this one but I remember the last thing I did before the next Part was make a distasteful penis joke.
Part 3: My Wretched Son. *dies*
-this Part was mostly some guy talking about this virtual raptor-possum-thingy he created + how much he hates him
-the possum-raptor had an account on some wiki forum for some reason??
-what's even stranger is that every post of his began with a header saying "I'm using your 2nd IP address!" (in bold like that too)
-later I was talking to some people on a Roblox knockoff about The Wretched Son
-conversation derails, eventually I say "one time I fell through the floor in Roblox."
-almost IMMEDIATELY after this I fall through the floor again. I thought this was the funniest thing in the dream. I still think it's kinda funny
Part 4: A Mad Filmmaker's Lab
-forgot a lot of this at the time of writing :(
-I was part of a. Very Strange theatre production, I think I was the main character?
-there were some uh. Characters. in the cast. such as: an abstract mad scientist guy + a floating, expressionless white mask
-forgot what the show was about, but I remember learning to freely zipline + that one of the props was a display case of gems and geodes
-"hey. quick question. why are we doing this again?"
-the crew explains the above through some freestyle rhymes explaining that if we don't do this, it will unleash L[???]rel (forgot the name), the Universe Destroyer
-understandably, I was very, very confused after that.
-looking back this dream might've been influenced by TADC.

I'm new to tumblr and looking to start my own visual stories. I stumbled upon yours through the suggestions and I am INVESTED. Raubae is a beautiful man and Wolfram and he are a beautiful couple!
Can you give a noob visual storyteller pointers on how to get started with their own comics?
OMG THANK YOU!!! 😭 I'm totally normal about them. I also want to apologize for Tumblr being a bit of a mess in terms of following the comics. Highly recommend the Carrd for chronological links.
As for comics - I'm far from an expert but I do see myself getting better with each one I make so hopefully some of this will help. 🤞
Read a bunch of different types of graphic novels. Pick the ones you like the most and pay attention to how they do things. I personally like lots of dialogue and character development, dramatic lighting, and focusing on facial expressions. Others focus on the action or scenery. Some a mix of both (which I'm working towards). Just find inspiration in what you love and let it help you find your style. 😁 Looking into how comics are made and what the different speech bubbles mean/text decoration/etc was helpful.
Use Clip Studio Paint or a program like it. Basically you want something that will let you cut out comic frames and add dialogue boxes easily. It really streamlines the workflow.
Write out "scripts" before GPosing. I know some folks who can freestyle but for me scripts with minor stage direction and dialogue have helped a lot. I have a different numbered line for each GPose I need to take too.
Everyone does plot/characterization differently. IDK if you were curious about that but I personally focus my plot around 3 main storylines - WolfBahn relationship arc, Wolfram's voidsent problem/past trauma, and MSQ. These plotlines overlap A LOT and come to a head in Endwalker. A lot of folks focus on their OC (I of course do.) but its also nice to develop the NPCs in some way. Most of Raubahn's development comes from MSQ which makes that easy but I do take time to touch on some of the things MSQ doesn't cover heavily like his recovery after being rescued from Halatali or the toll fighting to liberate Ala Mhigo takes on him. So I guess I just think - stories are more engaging if you flesh out the NPCs a bit. That may be personal preference though...
Really know your characters. I've found answering WoLQoTDs helps a ton. Along those lines - a timeline of their major events. Mine includes Eorzean events like The Autumn War and Garlean invasion of Ala Mhigo so I can fit my character's story in with the greater world. Before starting the comics I had a summary of his story on his Carrd (it's down now though). I also made a family tree. Replaying cutscenes helps get me in the zone to write too. Knowing them really well makes the writing flow pretty effortlessly.
Spend the time to edit each screenshot. I didn't do enough of this starting out and regret it. Even just upping the sharpness makes a big difference. Highly reccomend hitting it with the dodge/burn if you have time. The images will be smaller than most gposes so zooming in or cropping closer can help show the fine details (another place CSP shines).
Make dialogue box text large enough so that the majority of users on mobile won't need to zoom in. What I've been doing is 50 in CSP.
This one I don't do - but I should. Have someone with good grammar who also actually enjoys your story go over your comic before you post it. Ideally over the script as well. They'll point out grammatical mistakes but also since they're fans they may have some cool character insights you hadn't thought of!
Don't be discouraged if you get less "likes" than you do for GPoses. I usually get way less. On the flip side I get more actual interaction with the comics. Nice convos. It's how I've met some of my best buddies! So it's a good trade-off IMO. Most important of all - it's FUN to tell stories!
I hope this was helpful. Feel free to DM if you have more specific questions/want to have a convo too. I'm always excited to see more GPose comics! :D

[but did you have any problems with his gaming?]
nope, gaming makes ni-ki genuinely happy, and i love seeing him happy
*ni-ki does a heart towards (y/n)
we did have that one major fight i mentioned
i couldn't play for a week because of it, but that's what made me realize that no amount of gaming is worth enough to lose (y/n)
*(y/n) drinks making ni-ki laugh
give me a warning next time gosh.
[okay, how about we officially start the q&a between you guys?]
*both nod and played rock paper and scissors to determine who gets to ask first, ni-ki wins

*ni-ki covers his face in guilt
[did you get mad when you found out?]

they were automated messages ni-ki, you left the gcs instead of muting them *(y/n) deadpanned
i'm sorry~~
*(y/n) rolls their eyes
[was it a turn off finding out i was into gaming or i was a gamer?]
*(y/n) drinks
*ni-ki is shocked
really??
no, i'm just kidding, and i wanted to drink
if anything i was more impressed than turned off since i still do play, i just suck at it
so you admit that i'm good at gaming? *he raises his eyebrows back and forth
stop acting like i don't compliment you about it 24/7 riki
*riki laughs
ohh, you better answer this carefully nishimura riki
i'm scared
[would you rather not play video games forever, or lose me?]
... ..
forever ?
mhmm
... like forever forever ??
ni-ki just drink
*both laugh
it's okay i understand baby, i know my place *(y/n) teases
*ni-ki grins and envelopes (y/n) in a big hug
which is #1 !!
*camera just pans around the pair's adorableness
[question for both: would you trade/sell your significant other for a game console?]
oh he would definitely sell me for a game console, i would be more surprised if he didn't.
*ni-ki is quiet
it depends on the console though
*(y/n) rolls their eyes
but what about you huh?
it depends on the console :P
yah!
[choose one: a gift that i really like or a rare expensive skin you want?]
this whole thing is targeted around the gamer i swear
i know right? i love it
*ni-ki playfully glares at (y/n)
you'd make me choose the skin anyways
yes i would, it's a rare skin, my gift can wait.
thanks, ily <33
ily too, now read the next question
[did you ever get jealous with the people i play with?]
....
*(y/n) drinks, ni-ki laughs
wait! let me defend myself
okay, defend your stand
i don't really mind whoever he plays with honestly, but there are really just times when he's not playing with his friends, and his teammates are just ???
just what???
riki, baby, they were flirting with you.
,,,, eh?
YOU DIDN'T NOTICE?
nO?!
well that's good i guess. but yeah, technically i wasn't really jealous since ni-ki never responded to their advances. i was more of,, irritated ??
i really didn't notice.
it's when i would just suddenly but in, making sure i was heard
ahHH!
wait, that happens a lot,,,,
that's okay *(y/n) pats ni-ki, stay oblivious
eh, i don't really care anyways, i have you
*(y/n) blushes and lightly slaps ni-ki's arms
it's the last one
aww :((
[freestyle for both! ask each other any question you want]
ohhh, should i go first?

alicia, my beloved! would you do me a great favour and answer some of these?
🤡🛒🌌🎶🙋‍♀️💖🤗🧠 (tell me about our boy klaus)
(also i 100% rbed that post in hopes that it'll give me an excuse to pester all my writer friends with questions, mission accomplished! 😈)
🤡 - What's a line, scene, or exchange you've written that made you laugh?
Ella, bestie - there's so many. I mean not all of them are laugh-out-loud funny, but they always bring a little smile to my face. I think Caroline pushes Klaus into a pool in Into Eternity? That's a good one. But I think most the more funny exchanges happen in The Big Bad Wolf. Somehow that fic turned into crack along the way and honestly it ran away from me. My OCs are just really fun to write. Probably the scene that made me laugh the most in that, was the bacon scene. With the lunar cycles. And then later on Klaus throwing Kol's phone out the car window because he caught him texting Rebekah about the new information. Scenes with Titus, Klaus' horse, and Sam's raven Loki also hit the top spots. Sorry, I just can't choose one.
🛒 - What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.
Found family. Or a sense of family or brotherhood in general. I have no idea why. It's just too wholesome to leave out. Also probably an element of spookiness and horror, because I'm edgy like that, and I like my settings/characters a little dark, a little violent.
✨ - Give you and your writing a compliment. Go on now. You know you deserve it. 😉
Okay so there's no constellation emoji on the original ask list so I'm assuming you meant this one? I don't know, maybe I'm just blind but I can't find it.
So. A compliment.
Will you accept 'I write good'? Lmao I don't know.
🎶 - Do you listen to music while you write? What song have you been playing on loop lately?
I actually have a few playlists on youtube that I set aside for writing. My brain is really sense-minded, so like when I put that music on it knows it's time to write. I've got a klaroline playlist, which are basically klaroline music vids, and also playlists for my fics. And then sometimes I just freestyle, listen to anything that comes on. I need to share the songs I listen to for TBBW at some point cause they are amazing. Here Come the Wolves by Lola Blanc screams Chapter 1. And then I Know Your Secrets by Tommee Profitt (feat. Liv Ash) is definitely Chapter 12. I remember listening to Running With The Wolves by Aurora for Chapter 13 a lot.
🙋‍♀️ - Do any irl people know you write fanfic?
Yes. Sort of. A close friend knows. Though I have not shared my ao3 name nor my fics and do not intend to lol.
💖 - What made you start writing?
I actually can't remember when I didn't write in some shape or form. I've been writing since I was a small kid, in like primary school. Probably Year 4? Maybe even Year 3? I would have been like 7 maybe. I basically remember watching the movie of Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach, and little kid me thought, oh I want to write a book! And so I started writing a book called the Dragon and the Peach. I think the plot involved a dragon called Sapphira, who like goes on this quest and eats a magical peach that makes her strong and powerful so she can defeat the villain. That story eventually evolved into a different, more complex plot as I got older, with more characters and backstories. By Year 6 I wanted to be a writer when I grew up. And then in my teens I found fanfiction and well, here I am, ten years later, still writing fanfiction lol. Nothing really made me start writing. I guess Dahl's books inspired me originally, I really loved them as a kid, but nothing made me do it. No one pushed me to do it, or said I'd be good at it. For me writing has always been a calling. I really had no choice but answer.
🤗 - What advice would you give to new fanfic writers that are just getting started?
Read. Write. That's it. Read as much as you can, because that's the finest teacher of how to write. Literally. You'll find whatever genres and tropes you prefer to read will start popping up in your writing without even realising it. And when you do write, keep writing, even when you get writer's block - even if its 200 words per day or 200 words after weeks of nothing, at least its no longer a blank page. Write while figuring out how to plot, how to characterise, how to build up tension. Don't be ashamed of stuff you wrote a year ago because it sucks - it doesn't suck, you've just improved since then and now you can write better. It's a victory, not a defeat. And don't write for anyone else but yourself. Like I said before, writing is a calling. It's bleeding words onto a page because you have to get it out or you'll go crazy. You are your first reader. So write for you.
🧠 - Pick a character, and I'll tell you my favourite headcanon for them.
So. Klausy. Neeklous. Our boy Klaus. What headcanons do I have for him, hmm? 🤔
[I'm trying to think of one I haven't told you, it's a challenge]
Okay I have one. Not sure if I've included this in a fic yet, but a headcanon I love is that Klaus steals artwork from galleries and museums for kicks and replaces them with copies he painted before the originals are noticed as missing. The galleries and museums around the world have yet to catch on. He thinks its funny. Compulsion gets boring after the first few centuries, after all.

Thoughts on Will Smith smacking Chris Rock at the Oscars?
I don't really know what to think.
At first I thought Will was kind of in the right; the order that clips were circulating around Twitter, it looked to me like Will was yelling at Chris and then came up on stage and gave him a slap. I figured it was from the perspective of Will giving Chris a warning, Chris playing it off, and Will smacking him for it. Then you watch Will's acceptance speech, where he's in tears and talking about how Hollywood "expects you to take it on the chin with a smile" or whatever, and it's like, aw, buddy.
But I finally watched the whole thing in the proper order and it's... weird?
So Chris cracks the G.I. Jane 2 goof, which honestly, was pretty weak. I didn't even remember G.I. Jane. Cut to: Will Smith laughing at the joke and his wife, sitting next to him, looking upset. Then Will stomps up on stage and slaps Chris Rock. Chris laughs it off, so like, maybe it was all in good fun! But then when Will sits back down, he starts SCREAMING obscenities from his seat. That's where the tone changes and it goes from "haha, maybe that was a bit?" to "uhhhh... yikes."
It seems to me like Will thought the joke was funny but saw how Jada reacted to it and decided to do something about it on her behalf. Maybe both as an apology to her (for laughing at it) and just to uphold her honor or whatever (because of her hair loss problems).
And I seem to remember that this has been a thing with Will. He's similarly been out there yelling when people would jab his kids. And, y'know, being protective is fine! If Will loves his family like that, that's cool!
But this definitely came off looking a little odd, I guess. And after years of Will trying to break back in to showbiz and only really kind of coasting on the fame he used to have. Remember when he was "back in the studio" making new music, and the sample he put out was basically just him rapping about how cool he was in the 90's and how rich he is now, just like every other rapper he used to be above?
And he swore in that! I know this sounds weird to bring up, but Will Smith's whole thing before was that he never swore in his songs. So here's this freestyle rap that's basically just "Remember Men in Black and Fresh Prince? I have so much money from those! I'm better than all the other rappers! And I swear now, too!"
And you look at this and it's like... is Will Smith going through a mid-life crisis? Are these his moments of reaching out to say, "I still got it"? I mean, yes, Will, you still got it. You won an Oscar.
But, man, sometimes I dunno. I Robot wasn't a very good movie. After Earth sounded pretty awful. Bright was apparently even worse. And now you're out here slappin' Chris Rock around? Dropping f-bombs live on national television?
It feels like he's trying to prove something that doesn't need to be proven.

I NEED HEADCANONS ON THE RFA + V AND ALL SAERANS ON WHAT STYLE OF DANCE THEY ARE / DO
I have a few ideas lmao XDDD
Ballroom? Jazz? Contemporary? Tap? Other?
I can see Seven blasting out some hip-hop, probably all improvised and wild but oddly incredible ????
Yoosung might watch him and be like woah that's so cool but wouldn't be good at copying at all and be so embarrassed
Zen does everything. Every dance. Every style. And he'd perform probably everywhere
Jumin, Jaehee..?? Jazz or something ?!?!
I can't think of V either lol
Suit Saeran - I can't see him dancing (or Unkown LOL), but like...aggressive hip-hop???
Ray is a ballroom boy, there's no doubt he'd be the cutest clumsy ballroom dancer who obsessively learned just to woo us - that SUIT HE HAS IT'S PERFECT HIS LITTLE TAILCOAT AS HE WOULD TURN
SE Saeran if he was made to dance would probably be that one person in the corner of a party just awkwardly swaying or something
And GE Saeran
Oh my
Also ballroom?? But like, much more advanced than Ray. Like a pro
I feel like he'd love it. The partnership and connection and movement in general? When you're in hold, your bodies are touching. Like pressed together, you move as one
I think he'd feel safe in hold with us ;; haha
...
But I can't get contemporary out of my head for him
Balletic, so graceful, so...free? He's free. He can express himself however he likes and I can see him just moving that way
Just so peaceful, yet packed with such deep emotion. He can release everything now.
..
Haha...I don't know. Those are just my guesses! What do you think? I'm so excited to find out! :D
Hi, anon! Let me start by saying that I do not know much about dance. I'm about as graceful as a bowlegged baby giraffe.
I agree that Yoosung wouldn't have much experience, but I could see him wanting to learn some basic steps so he could dance with a cute partner at the RFA parties. Maybe Zen teaches him a couple waltz steps.
Because yes, Zen would be an excellent dancer, from tap to ballroom dancing to jazz. Being a musical actor, he needs to be well versed in song AND dance. Give him choreography and he'll make it happen. His favorite is ballet, because it's graceful on stage and also because it builds INSANE muscle.
I could see Jaehee as really into swing dancing! Maybe it's the light flirty romance, maybe it's the old-timey feel, maybe it's because she's sapphic. But I see it.
Jumin would have formal dance training, I would assume, just based on his social status. But he's a bit rigid to dance with as a partner. He probably practiced with V to classical music, and now I'm gonna cry about that.
That being said, teenage V totally was into hip hop because he was an edgy, artistic teenager who'd be eager to rebel against the expectations for someone of his status.
Seven is an excellent dancer! He would've had to learn how to blend in at high-society parties to reach some of his agency targets. So while he loves freestyle and silly dances, he's perfectly capable of a waltz. Actually, I can see him being VERY into tango, because in tango the dance does all the talking while your face needs to be stern and stoic. Mr. 707 Masks would excel at that. He also wants ballet tips from Zen.
(Naturally, that makes Vandy a dancing master too. Probably moreso than Saeyoung, who's known to be eccentric.)
Saeran et al. is the tough part. Lol
If Ray is ballroom dancing, which 100% fits because he's the prince in his fantasies, then so is Suit. Because anything Ray can do, Suit must do better to prove he's worthier.
GE is the best of the 3, of course. I can also see GE wanting to get into ice skating? He gives me those vibes.
SE stubbornly refuses to dance. He'll do the macarena and that's it, and only if MC pouts at him.
Unknown... yes, he'd be into more urban type of dance, because he finds the movements sharp and strong and intimidating. To which I say, Unknown, have you SEEN kpop boy groups? Hear me out, Unknown!

Huh.
Well, this is not the next episode reaction you were expecting, but a while back, in the middle of the night, while I was ready to cry from working on a pharmacology paper, out of nowhere, Youtube threw up Street Dance of China S3 Ep1 at me. And yeah. I am, admittedly, f’kn weak for a dance show. (There are enough SYTYCD episode reax on my old Livejournal that I feel there’s no point denying this.)
So – no, actually, wait. FIRST of all, I do NOT believe the “towel vote” we ended up being given for the opening routines from the four captains. That was the most blatant bit of bullshit chicanery I’ve seen in my LIFE, and I say this as a person with a ton of SYTYCD episode reax on my old Livejournal, and I also say this not because Wang Yibo ended up last (well, not entirely), but because I saw Wallace Chung’s routine. As someone closer in age to him than to the other three captains, I have to give him props for trying, but come on, man. The critique that Yibo got from random contestants – if the subtitles are to be believed, so I realize this needs a grain of salt - basically boiled down to “it was too good for the stage lighting.” :hands: Also, I saw your face at the reveal, Wallace, and you were as shocked as I was. No way you got more towels/votes than Wang Yibo. Not unless there’s some super wild undercurrent of nostalgia propping you up, which, I guess could happen, because literally all I know about pop culture in China, current or otherwise, is filtered through Tumblr and Youtube, both notoriously suspect, but … anyway. There’s got to be a TON of behind-the-scenes manipulation going on for Yibo to be rock-bottom with last pick of teams but then also to end up with THAT pool of possibles. Are you kidding me with this?
ANYWAY, what I wanted to say is that I actually really like Wang Yibo here, and it’s not just because he’s the only captain I have even a sliver of familiarity with, and it’s not just because Lan Wangji was banging Wei Wuxian. I do realize all of this is influenced by whatever edit they’ve decided to give a particular captain or contestant, but I’m impressed with the way Yibo immediately starts team building by getting his group into a warmup, getting them dancing together, getting them dancing with him before they have to worry about dancing for him. (I mean, come on, Jackson Wang. The way to get people to stop being nervous is not to say “Stop being nervous! It will make you fuck up!”) The way Yibo immediately recognized and responded to his group’s concerns about that one dude copying someone else’s routine probably also bought him a lot of return investment. He’s dressed to work it, in his sweats and his flannel (what IS that fake-leather TAC vest and random leg holster-looking thing, Jackson Wang?). He’s convincing me he really loves to dance, he can’t hold still while he watches the contestants, he’s wandering over into other captains’ turf when it sounds like there’s a dancer performing who he might like to see, he’s being the best Yibo he can be, and I’m grooving along, wind in my hair, totally down for this ride. He’s also adorable at the beginning when all the other captains are like, my goal for this season is to slaughter the competition and dance on their graves! And he’s like, well, I’d like to … make some friends? And learn some new stuff? I don’t know if the perpetual Humble Student schtick is natural or persona, or whether it’s general or specific to dancing, but it’s working for you, my dude. This is also made better (read: ironic), by the fact that it’s immediately before the towel reveal, when he flips over to utter disbelief and gets all sulky for a while over the “fact” that his dance routine got the least votes.
Also, OH WAIT. This is where that clip of Yibo dancing with his crew ALL OVER HIM came from that I saw floating around a few months ago, isn’t it? You’re telling me those guys had never danced together before and had like, three minutes to throw together that routine? I’m even more impressed than before. Meanwhile, the towels symbolize courage and challenge, Mr. Emcee? OK, fine, cheesy reality show blah blah whatever. Can we get to the dancing now?
I’m going to put the rest of this behind a cut, because it got super long, because it turns out, when you watch in 5-minute increments, it takes two and a half weeks to get through a single episode, but you actually can see and have opinions on all 5,328 contestants, plus every single one of the captains’ battles. Meanwhile, I’m trying to convince myself this is not going to be another series of episode reactions, but 1) I do have the benefit of not having a ton of hometown media giving me a next-day play-by-play, so even though this is six months old, everything’s a surprise; 2) I am, admittedly, f’kn weak for a dance show; and 3) it’s easy to watch in 5-minute increments between researching drug interactions in hypothetical hypertensive patients with stable ischemic heart disease, erectile dysfunction, and seasonal allergies. So, I guess we’ll see. It’ll be slow going, though, because I don’t ever have two and half hours to sit down and watch an ep cover-to-cover – if it happens, it will likely keep happening in 5-minute increments. Meanwhile, there is a metric shit-ton of nattering below the cut, so caveat lector. No, seriously, I kept adding to this little by little until it became a monster. Hashtag long post (remorseful).
OK, I am generally out of my depth here, as this is not at all my area of dance not-really-expertise, but some reactions:
Team Wang Yibo: I can see why he didn’t want to choose between Colin and Dian Men – Colin might have been a touch better technically and a better showman, but Dian Men didn’t seem to have a single wasted move – but, also, my dude. Yibo. You maybe should look a little bit less stunned and overwhelmed by the mere presence of Colin, it’s giving me ideas about your taste in men. Continuing with the powerhouses, I probably shouldn’t even attempt to critique Klash, but I did feel like he was a bit stiff in some of his footwork; that final V kick, though, shit, that’s what having that kind of upper-body strength is for. Bouboo … I mean, excellent flexibility and control, of course, but mainly I’m just terribly amused that Yibo got last pick of teams but somehow ended up with the guy who’s literal world champion, and who’s just as useful for getting into the other captains’ heads – without even trying – as he is for his talent. And then there’s a montage of Yibo giving out towel after towel after towel, and my dude, you cannot keep up this pace. There are still too many dancers to see, and you don’t have that many towels. AAANNNND Towel Battle #1 (See Footnote 1).
Team Jackson Wang: I do like Gai Gai, although that may be influenced by the fact she’s working in the twilight area between hip-hop and contemporary that I have more familiarity with - but also, I suspect she’s pretty good in her genre. I thought Xiao Jie was inconsistent and didn’t stick the landing on his initial attempt, so I have to give you that hesitation, Jackson, even though you’ve somehow ended up the villain in my inner narrative for this show, for no particular reason I can yet discern. Maybe it’s that you’re the direct competition for Yibo’s team in the towel battles. Good enough. Anyway, Xiao Jie definitely stepped up his game for the battle with Bingo, so I can kind of see why both of them got a towel, but we’re not even halfway through this, and most of y’all are giving away towels like you have an endless supply. Yang Kai is a fucking menace with fantastic musicality, and I’m just gonna say it and take the fallout - I think he gave a better performance first time out of the gate than any of Yibo’s powerhouses did. Whatever power Klash has got, whatever skill Bouboo has got, Yang Kai feels more explosive and engaging, at least in these initial showings. He’s going to be one to beat, I’d hug him too, if he was on my team and was going to help me WIN. Yibo’s probably lucky that happened during his little stroll over to check out the competition, so that he can see they’re definitely competitive and be prepared for it. Also, Jackson, I have to admit - that face you made when Chao really kicked in? That was the same face I made, because wt actual f, you have a literal secret weapon – secret because he CAME FROM NOWHERE and NO ONE EVEN KNOWS him, how is that even possible, how did he get that good – fluid, creative, controlled, incredible musicality - without anyone having any idea who he even is? And then there’s a montage of Jackson just giving out towel after towel after towel, and my dude, you need to slow down. You can’t just be like, “THEY LOVE DANCE WITH ALL OF THEIR WHOLE HEARTS!!!!1111!!!!11!” I get it, but everyone there loves dance with all of their whole hearts, and there are not enough towels to send all of them on to the next round. ANNNND, Towel Battle #1 (See Footnote 1).
Team Lay Zhang: lol at how diplomatic you’re being, Lay Zhang – your team’s fierce roar startled you, OK. At this point, I suspect you’re the street most likely to have a knife fight break out before this is all over. I do like Alex, I think he’s got a lot of interesting, super-clean details in his moves, and he’s engaging - I cannot BELIEVE you made him battle that dude whose moves were so mushy, Lay Zhang, it leaves me doubting your ability to judge this thing. At first I thought maybe you were just looking for an excuse because you wanted to see Alex freestyle, but then you actually said something about both dancers being equal, and my estimation of you plummeted, and also sadly, my sound dropped out for the actual battle, including the part where the clearly inferior dancer fell over and then accidentally POPPED ALEX ONE IN THE EYE, and I TOLD YOU SO. I do agree it’s a good idea to make dancers in the same genre do some battling, so you can kind of plan out your towels and put together a team with broad strengths, instead of giving out towels like you’re making it rain for the first 20 contestants, and then you have 1,375 more people to get through, with 3 towels left, as EVERYONE ELSE seems to be doing, so it’s nice that at least one of you guys is thinking – if not actually acting - strategically. That was clearly not even a contest, though, GIVE ALEX HIS TOWEL and send him to the next round. Xiao Bao is hilarious, with his concern that his team captain, who’s into krump, which is “beating,” isn’t going to appreciate his waacking, which is “slapping.” I also don’t know a whole lot about waacking, so thanks for the primer, Xiao Bao, and don’t worry, your performance is just as engaging for those of us who don’t know what we’re watching as you are generally. You deserve that towel for your ability to interact with and engage your audience, alone. Lingo is a good solid performance, although he’s got his team captain strategizing edited over some of it, and here’s the thing: we are 1:56:00 into this, at this point, with another half hour to go, and all of you are starting to disappear into the sea of dancers who are very good at what you do, but at generally the same level? Anyway, Lingo, I approve of your ability to interact with your audience (read: your captain) to ensure engagement, too, so keep that up. Annnd, we actually haven’t seen that much of you guys, but it’s time for Towel Battle #2 (See Footnote 2).
Team Wallace Chung: I’m glad Su Lian Ya insisted on performing, I thought she started off slow but warmed up, and that ending was creepily fantastic and had me spontaneously grinning at the screen in delight. Then we lose sight of this group for a really long time, actually. We go back to find Wallace putting through a couple of urban dancers who we barely see, but who apparently claim to have some choreography experience, and he really likes that. TI shows up, and they’re solid, but honestly, not as good in this performance as they were in some of the stock footage the show threw up to introduce them, but Wallace remains super-excited about the idea of choreography and sends at least choreographer Zhang Jiang Peng through to the next round. And then, we really haven’t seen that much of you guys, either, which maybe doesn’t bode well, but it’s time for Towel Battle #2 (See Footnote 2).
FOOTNOTE 1, aka TOWEL BATTLE ONE, Team Yibo vs. Team Jackson, 3V3 freestyle: First of all, I have to say, I love Yibo - Mr. I Just Wanna Make Some Friends And Have Some Fun - being all, “I have three crappy white towels I’m stuck with for coming in last place that I can’t use to send dancers to the next round and that I DO NOT DESERVE, and I am getting BACK the colorful towels that ARE RIGHTFULLY MINE. I am coming for whoever is in my way.” Team Yibo is Bouboo, Klash, Dian Men, and OK, given what we’ve seen so far, that’s the safe choice, but honestly, I think we’re just taking some things for granted right now, and I’m not sure they actually have given the best performances so far. Yeah, I said it. Team Jackson is Yang Kai, Chao, and Xiao Jie, and … ok, on that last one, I think you probably could have substituted Bingo, but all right. Yang Kai is a definite yes. Chao will be great if he can stay out of his own head and not psych himself out, but given what we’ve seen so far, he’s an obvious pick. First round, Yang Kai vs. Klash, and Yang Kai is still a fucking menace, with super lines. Klash definitely stepped up his game for the battle, and I can’t get over the upper body strength he’s got, to get that kind of airy bounce in his moves, but to be honest, I can’t even be mad the first round went to Yang Kai and Team Jackson. Second round, Yang Kai is still … y’all, the beautiful lines from this guy in his poses, I can’t get over them, but I think he doesn’t have the stamina, his footwork is getting sloppy. Bouboo also steps up his game for an actual battle, his fluidity and control is amazing, and yeah, round to Team Yibo. Round three, Xiao Jie gives it a decent effort, but the polish isn’t there; meanwhile Bouboo is still in champion mode, and I was kind of surprised this was a split vote and went to another round. Xiao Jie absolutely surprised me, coming back stronger on his second try, although I suppose a more familiar genre helped, but Bouboo continues in champion mode. Round four, Chao looks like he’s going to throw up right before he steps out there, and then as soon as the music starts, it’s like, he doesn’t even think. The music just moves him. I feel like his dance vocabulary is more limited than Bouboo’s, though, and Bouboo’s flow is amazing at this point, so I feel like the judges just want to drag this out and see more dancing when we go to one more round. Strong effort all around, but yeah, round four and two towels to Team Yibo. I can’t really complain about that. I do feel like Yibo’s powerhouses have been holding back until now, though, and I’m not sure how I feel about THAT.
FOOTNOTE 2, aka TOWEL BATTLE TWO, Team Zhang vs. Team Wallace, 3V3 w/ captain: lol, Team Zhang really wants someone to pick the Sailor Moon song because they know Xiao Bao and his waacking will tear it up. Anyway, Team Zhang includes Lingo and Xiao Bao, who does not get his Sailor Moon song and continues to be hilarious in his disbelief about being chosen to participate in this battle, when he’s not looking almost as sick as Chao from Team Jackson before HIS performance. Team Wallace includes Su Lian Ya – and honestly, despite how I’m getting ready to bag on him for the entire rest of this battle recap, I like that Wallace put one of his female dancers up there for the battle - and some dude named Ba that they haven’t given us any footage of, up ‘til now, at least that I can remember and who I … don’t even know has been formally given a towel and sent on to the next round, yet? Oh wait, he must have, because there’s talk in the pause for choreography about somehow using the towels during the battle. Wallace relies on Su Lian Ya and Zhang Jiang Peng to choose Ba, and then Ba ends up choreographing a lot of the performance, at least from the edit we see. I continue to feel you may be in over your head, Wallace. This feeling … is not assuaged by your performance in the first round, which is fine, but not really up to the level of almost anyone whose name I’ve bolded so far in this entire recap. Also, using the towels was a cute idea, but it doesn’t translate well, and Team Wallace has a lot of wasted time throwing the towels around instead of actually. You know. Dancing. Lingo gets a credible solo during Team Zhang’s performance, and even though Xiao Bao is clearly lost during a good bit of his backup dancer duties, he manages not to throw up, which – given this team’s general skill level – should be enough to give them the first round, EXCEPT SOMEHOW Team Wallace gets the point from the judges, who then try to justify this inexplicable decision by saying Team Wallace had better interaction, I guess because of the hot mess with throwing the towels around, but adding that Team Zhang was more scattered, which what? More scattered than the hot mess with the towels? I’m not buying this. I can’t tell if they’re propping up Wallace or fucking with Lay Zhang’s head, but I’m having bad acid flashbacks to the many and varied ways dance show judges will try to gaslight you, telling you that things you just saw with your very own eyes did not actually happen when it’s right there! On camera! Visible, despite whatever edit bs you’re pulling! ANYWAY, they’re definitely managing to fuck with not only Lay Zhang’s head, but Xiao Bao’s, and Xiao Bao still doesn’t seem to have his choreography down, but they manage to pull it together enough to take the second round, which to be honest is kind of a muddled mess on everyone’s part. The only one who really stands out to me on this go’round is Su Lian Ya, but OK, Team Zhang might have had it slightly more together as a unit. And then, yeah, OK, I think they were fucking with Lay Zhang’s head, because we then find out that, holy shit, the song the show powers-that-be chose for the tie-breaking third round is that gd Sailor Moon song, and we can all see the writing on the wall. Poor Team Wallace is no match for Xiao Bao, who frankly, carries this entire round on his shoulders without breaking a sweat and barely needs any backup dancers to do it. There’s some ridiculously dramatic reveal of scoring, with the judges dragging out their decisions like this was any actual contest - I’m beginning to suspect that some of them grew up with Wallace Chung posters on their bedroom walls - but finally, round and towel to Team Zhang.
Cut to a little bit of Next Time On, and wow, the first two-and-a-half-hour episode is over, and we aren’t finished with the initial round yet. It’s gonna be Christmas before I make it halfway through this season.

Upcoming Street Man Fighter
Street Man Fighter is coming this summer, apparently. Since I enjoyed watching Street Women Fighter, I am especially excited to for this. Especially since I've been following a lot of the choreographers so I'm kind of hoping the ones I follow will be on the show. I also love watching battles because I feel like, apart from creating amazing choreography, it's different if someone is able to battle and dance on the spot to any song that comes up. It shows one's creativity and wit. I'm excited for that. Okay, here's where people might disagree. But anyways, I was a huge fan of HiTech Crew back then. Nowadays, I still appreciate some of Kwon Twins choreography but I feel like they're getting a little .. redundant and boring. Also, I feel like the feels to one song is just not there anymore. Don't hate me - ofc, I still like some of their stuff. I just feel it's not the same. Again, this is my personal preference. Maybe my personal preferences have changed, who knows. Anywho, I am also hoping to see Vata and Ingyoo, who dances with We Dem Boys. I'm glad they're getting more recognition because I've always loved their style. The way it looks more like they're just having fun. I like that kind of groovy, ... swag, I guess. I don't really know how to explain it but yes, I like their style. Before HiTech, I loved PREPIX. The originals at least. I haven't been following them in a long time but I like how the crew had every element and also gave me that old school vibe I liked (and they were amazing battlers). My faves were definitely Joony, Ill, Wassup, and let's not forget Yun and Sejin. I know a lot of them are much older now so I'm not even sure if they are going to be on the show but if they were, it would be so good. Their creativity is amazing. I remember when they did a video of them creating a choreography with a chair on the spot, amazing. Oh, and 5SSANG, I'm not sure if he's part of PREPIX or if he was one of the originals but I like his stuff too. And then of course, there's Just Jerk who I am almost positive will be on the show. Love JHO's choreography. Just something about it always makes me go "wow". (Female wise, love Eunkyung's choreography, she's so effortless) Other crews would probably be - BBTRIPPIN, FREEMIND, 1M, etc. Can't think of any others at the top of my head right now but possibly those. I also heard some idols will be joining which makes me a little worried, unless they've got a dance background that includes battling and freestyling. I'm just worried for them because outside the idol world, it's scary and people can be scary and ruthless when battling so it makes me worried. Another thing I've started to notice is that when a lot of idol groups choose the same choreographers, they all start looking the same .. basically, no one stands out as much anymore. SO, if I was a performance/creative director of a group, I would look for choreographers or dancers out there that have not been used yet, especially if they want to stand out. I'm not saying the big choreographer groups aren't good, it's just that a lot of moves are overused and so a lot of idols don't stand out. But it doesn't help that a lot of groups use the same concepts so can't really put it all on the choreographers. Back to SMF, I'm sure if you're reading this, you must know that a lot of dancers, choreographers, idols were posting and tagging themselves dancing to SMF one song right? Well, I'll post my faves in a separate post because there's a limit. Haha.
THANK YOU (:

Street Dance of China S4 Ep 3
(I’m having problems with Tumblr not saving my posts...)
- Oh no people are going to start getting eliminated! :o Well, I’m still really glad that we had two whole episodes of people just dancing and having fun and getting the opportunity to showcase who they are and how they dance.
- This question just occurred to me, but where do people look when they watch dance performances? As I watched the Go Go Brothers, I was thinking to myself, “Where do I look? If I look at one of them, I might miss what the other Brother is doing!” Just my musings lol.
- I am super shallow but people tripping makes me laugh, so yes, Nelson accidentally tripping did make me chuckle. (+ Rochka’s reaction)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
- Yibo and Yixing discussing the SDOC theme song. It made me laugh because the lyrics are kind of hype but Yibo and Yixing aren’t exactly the most facially expressive people lol.
Tumblr media
- After every performance Henry’d be like “let’s collaborate!!!!!!” Han Geng finally stepped in being like aight Henry you gotta take it easy on the recruitment because we’ve literally only seen three performances. I’m still not really sure of the format of the show from now on, so I’m not sure if they form new teams afterwards.
- Yixing was so guilty about not giving Bouboo a vote.
Tumblr media
- Rochka’s shock @ Boubou not getting four votes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
- He’s ashamed.
Tumblr media
- I think if a dancer gets less than 4 votes, then other dancers are allowed to challenge them for a spot to advance, but whoever loses is eliminated out of the tournament, so you have to be super confident to challenge. And if a dancer only gets 1 or 2 votes, they are eliminated.
- Yibo asked Rochka why he wouldn’t challenge Bouboo and Rochka said he’d never go against his teacher/big brother v.v They exchanged hearts but then Rochka pretended to throw the heart away and crush it lol.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
- While I was expecting a bit more from Bouboo, I don’t think his challenger JC Jun was better than him. JC Jun was kind of wobbly, and I think his dance didn’t match the music as well as Bouboo’s did.
- Yixing had his head down when he voted for Ibuki too, so I think he just gets nervous about voting.
Tumblr media
- Henry wanted to say that Ibuki was like lightning but he said the word for a flashing light/disco light and Han Geng wanted to give him shit for it.
Tumblr media
- Yixing said that he thought AC’s waacking almost felt like krump.Yixing said that if he was to collaborate with AC, AC should do the arm swing, and Yixing would do the waacking lol. I am all for seeing Yixing doing more dance styles! Not gonna lie, I think he’d look cute doing waacking.
- Ye Yin’s performance was really nice! The music was unique and the way he danced, with the tap dance and folk-like elements really suited it.
- Rochka said he wants to know Ye Yin more and said they also have the same smile.
Tumblr media
- Xiao Jie said he’d never battle Ye Yin but he got peer pressured by the captains into freestyling to Ye Yin’s self-produced song lol.
Tumblr media
- To show face, you know? The entire time he was like “but this doesn’t count, okay?!!!!” since he wasn’t actually challenging Ye Yin, and it was just for funsies.
Tumblr media
- The judges were a bit troubled by Xiaoming’s performance because at the end, he was supposed to fall but his fall wasn’t coordinated with the sound effect in the music. Xiaoming was like yeah, it’s pretty difficult but I’m hoping that my challenger wouldn’t be able to get it too and Yixing was laughing his goose laugh. But Xiaoming was eliminated with zero votes in the end.
Tumblr media
- Kelo and Uwa had a horror mental hospital-themed dance which was interesting. Kelo said it was based on a nightmare he had as a child.
Tumblr media
- Yang Kai wasn’t impressed though. He said he’d performed something similar with Liangliang before. He felt that Kelo and Uwa were performing but not really dancing. I can see where he’s coming from. Kelo and Uwa got three votes.
- Xiaohai ended up challenging them. He used the wheelchair too but like...somehow his expression just makes us unable to not laugh.
Tumblr media
- I think he did really well considering he’d only heard the music once. And he returned to the wheelchair at the end of the performance lmfao
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
- Apparently when Xiaohai was looking up at the beginning, he was asking Li Yulong (who I assume is the person in charge of the music) for music cues but Li Yulong just laughed at him lol.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
- Yibo basically said that Kelo and Uwa’s performance felt a bit abrupt in the story telling side, and that there weren’t really highs and lows to their performance.
- Rochka was talking crap about Bouboo behind his back and Yibo tattled which resulted in Rochka getting whacked in the face.
Tumblr media
- Zyko taught Yibo and Rochka how to do his fancy leg moves.
Tumblr media
- Yixing talking krump with Auju. Auju was like you’re really good for someone who’s only been learning for a year, but then Yixing was like, I practise 6 hours a day and Auju was like ?!?!
Tumblr media
- Zyko + Henry (with Henry’s infamous “getting down while playing violin” move)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
- Poppin’C introduced himself, saying he was from Italy and Switzerland, and Yibo and Yixing were thinking of all the things from Italy they knew. Yibo was like “...Valentino Rossi...” and Yixing was like “....pizza.....” These two spacey twinks istg.
- Anyway, Poppin’C’s performance was nice. Not only were his moves clean and impressive, but he also expressed the lyrics through his dance.
Tumblr media
- Rochka fanboying over Poppin’C’s dance :P At one point, the lyrics were about hearts, and Poppin’C did some moves where he made a heart and Rochka here is saying how cute it was.
Tumblr media
- Poppin’C said he missed his daughter and everybody’s like ?? a baby??? :3 :3 :3
Tumblr media
- Also, I saw Uwa in the audience, so I think that the eliminated contestants get to continue watching.
- Poppin’C said that before, he was more fierce, but now that he has a daughter, he’s a little smoother and sweeter :3 Also he was describing that the singer’s voice in the song made his skin feel like chicken and everybody was like ??? Luckily Yixing saved the day lol. In Chinese, goose bumps are called “chicken pimples” or something like that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
- Bozi was next. In his introduction, Bozi said he was from Guangzhou, and maybe that’s why it sounded like so many people in the audience were pronouncing 波子 in Cantonese.
- Eleven said something very interesting about B-boys. He said that in their profession of dance, they don’t fear b-boys who can do tricks, but they fear b-boys who can listen to music. I think it’s a reference to the fact that b-boys are often doing their own thing and disregard the music, which makes sense. Sometimes b-boys are closer to gymnasts because they are so focused on the spins and other really athletic moves they do. But because their moves are so difficult, they sometimes don’t move to the music which is supposed to be the point of dancing.
- Bozi passed with 4 votes. And he did a bit of krump at the beginning, which Yixing admitted he fell for haha. Bozi said that Eleven helped him choreograph that part, so it’s Eleven who knows Yixing well >3
- The director asked Bozi who he thought his biggest b-boy rival on the show was. Of course, we all thought he was going to say Lil Kev, but he ended up saying Xiaoji and Xiaoji was like ?? me?? Bozi’s reasoning was that he’s more troubled by dancers with a different style from him because he doesn’t know how to beat them. From the small clips they showed, I think Xiaoji has a more animated style, whereas Bozi is more serious and reserved.
Tumblr media
- Acky-san cheering on MT Pop lol. (”Embarrassing dad at baseball game” mode activate)
Tumblr media
- MT Pop has really impressed me in the competition so far though. The way he moves is so cool and creative. I think he purposely goes for a kind of...monster vibe? Like he often has this creepy smile on his face lol. He’s not only dancing, but he’s using popping techniques to change how he moves entirely, including simple things like walking or how he turns his head. I think MT Pop is my favourite contestant.
Tumblr media
- He said the monster from Pan’s Labrynth inspired this dance. So I guess I was kind of right that he does draw inspiration from monsters and other creatures.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
- Low key mad at Han Geng for not giving MT Pop his vote lol. Geng-ge said he wanted to give someone a chance to challenge. Of all people, why MT Pop?? I don’t want him to goooo.
- Henry wanted to try doing the voiceover for the challenger and Han Geng indulged his overdramatic ass.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
- Baby Dolphin challenged. He had some cool moves at the beginning, but I think he fell apart a bit towards the end, based on the judges’ reactions (as we didn’t see the full performance). Plus, I think MT Pop’s approach to dancing is just too unique and interesting to eliminate at this point.
Tumblr media
- Kabamba had an interesting performance that had African and Latin influences, with big and energetic movements. Tianci challenged but he went with a general hip hop approach which did not suit the music at all. (I looked up Kabamba. Her name is Latrice Kabamba, but she also goes by 林珊娜 on her social media, which is why she’s sometimes called Nana on the show).
Tumblr media
- Acky-san was repeating everything that people were saying around him. Stuff like jiayou!! and other words of encouragement. Dianmen who was sitting next to him was just lol’ing.
Tumblr media
- Ma Xiaolong was performing to a song called 棋 and this word usually refers to any kind of board game. Ma Xiaolong’s first moves looked like he was putting pieces on a board and you just know that kind of stuff draws Yixing’s attention right away.
Tumblr media
- I think Kenken’s style of dance is the kind of dance that the general public would really enjoy. Whereas some kinds of dance don’t really appeal to people who aren’t into dance, I think Kenken’s kind of dance will attract both the dance-conscious people as well as those who aren’t. I definitely got that vibe from him in the dance that he choreographed, and also his individual performance.
- Not even gonna question this. Perfection. Rochka catboy here we go.
Tumblr media
- Okay, I agree with Colin’s performance not making the cut. Based on his introduction, he was supposed to be a popping expert, but his dance didn’t showcase that. His dance was more of a contemporary dance piece, but while we’ve had performances similar to that, his choreography didn’t stand out in comparison. After his performance he had a bit of a cry. Yixing mentioned that it was hard to judge because of the emotional aspect. But admittedly, this emotional stuff is usually the reason why I don’t like competition shows. It was revealed that Colin had lost his grandfather. Now, I’m going to sound cold, but I don’t like it when sob stories are brought in, because it makes us feel bad when we don’t like a piece of art that comes from very pure intentions. Yixing’s reasoning for not giving a vote was that he felt that the emotions overshadowed the dance, which is a problem because this is a show about dance. Han Geng’s reasoning was that he felt that the skill level could have been better. Yibo was quite moved by the performance, and I think that’s why he gave his vote to Colin.
- We got a preview for this week’s hotpot show.
- Yixing and his emotional support giant cup
Tumblr media
- Lots of laughing (including Yixing laughing) which is good for the soul

i literally don’t make posts but here i am writing about chuang 2021 because i’m having thOUGHTS after watching ep 3.1. the names of the trainees that i’ve mentioned are italicised!
omg where do i even start
i don’t usually keep up and get this invested in these sort of shows and that’s coming from someone who’s been known since the og pd101 let’s start there i guess
as a monster stage was literally made for hu yetao but can we pleASE talk about xue bayi man looked hella fine
actually mans been looking (but more importantly!) performing super well but somehow always get shadowed (case in point: yall forgot he was also freestyling alongside santa x liu yu in ep 1.2 didn’t ya)
coccoon break was a stage that i was really looking forward to seeing but it didn’t have that effect the way as a monster had
but stellar nonetheless!
jing long nailed his parts and the high notes as expected from the kING
gan wangxing’s performance was a pleasant surprise which is always great to see
yu yang was a strong center mad props to him
did not think i would pay attention to kazuma but he did really well
super heartwarming to see all the guys being so supportive of each other after this round (and for subsequent rounds!)
now super champion vs lit (very not used to calling it that btw)
man honestly rikimaru hard carried his team
KING SHIT his performance my gOSH i honestly don’t understand how he didn’t get mvp like what were you thinking (as nice as it is to see yi han and ren yinpeng’s efforts pay off)
yes this is the hill i will die on
mannnn i really started seriously watching this show for rikimaru cuz i’ve been following him for years and i want good things for him! like when he got emotional over the fact that he will miss that team oh mannn i needed a moment
liu yu choosing lit over any other song made the most sense considering his dance & preferred music style but he made it work towards what rikimaru was going for and he was great
very interesting to see li luoer choose lit and honestly? he nailed it fr considering how he’s not much of a dancer
now idk why the eng sub of super champion is put down as football gang but ok
tencent with their questionable eng subs hit again
tbh the groups who performed in ep 3.1 all choose stellar centers which (i personally believe) boosted their overall stages
so super champion’s he yifan was no exception but all of them put up a really strong performance together even though they were up against one of the stronger groups in this round
now butter-fly vs i like like you !!!!
ok first of all can we talk about bo yuan
he’s literally the reason why i paid for a wetv membership so that i can vote for him
[also can someone pLEASE tell me how to vote through wetv i litreally can’t get to anything and it’s stressing me out send help i need to vote for bo yuan why is he ranked at 46]
yes but butter-fly stage was just good vibes fun times and i love that for them!
the lightsticks made it 10x better than it already was
bo yuan as a center didn’t seem to hard carry (in the actual performance not the preparation for it) as much as rikimaru did in lit which was nice! i felt like i got a chance to see everyone while he had extra moments to shine at the same time
his hair is so frickin cool i love it i started ogling at it since the trailer from last ep and at first i didn’t know who it was so i was like ‘who’s that with the hair i ove it’ and when i found out i deadass screamed
again why did he not get mvp mans was rOBBED of it
but more importantly is robbed of the voTEs please vote for him [and teach me how to vote so that i can do it myself]
k gotta move on from talking about bo yuan so
i like like you was super sweet! i love how all their voices blended together in their harmonies just as much as their individual voices which are all different
dai shaodong’s voice was breathtaking but the little rap in there was so nicely done! esp when zhou zhennan literally goes ‘during rehearsal the rap was like ‘i like you, and if you don’t like me back i’ll force you to like me’ (not actually what he said but idk how else to translate it)
i’m so glad we got to hear more of rong yao !! (my biases are showing oh no)
but yes! wow i did not think i would be saying this much about the performances alone but here i am lol!
i’m having high hopes and much excites for the remaining performances they all look super cool!
ok thank you for coming to my ted talk it was hella long

She's hilarious but there's two videos where she starts to speak more mumblingly
ok first of all these are brilliant and i'm losing my mind and i love you, thank you for curating these to me.
i will transcribe them in a bit but i just felt the need to leave this "little" (it's long sorry) note:
as someone who's been raised catholic i just want to say that she is pretty wrong about almost everything she said about catholics, and i say that as someone who hates catholicism with my whole mind body and soul and who's been traumatized by this stupid fucking faith to the point where i can't get into a church without breaking into sobs dauihdasiuh. the catholic guilt is real but catholics are absolutely allowed to divorce and use contraceptives, and also have sex before marriage. the first one is met with some guilt esp from women altho honestly i think it's more due to mysoginist reasons than religious reasons, and the second and third ones are commonpractice and if you say that it's wrong and bad everyone will think you're a fucking weirdo
and even with the divorce thing, while the guilt is there (im pretty sure half the reason my mom doesn't divorce is because she would feel guilty about it, although again, i feel like that's got very little to do with religion and way more with internalized mysoginy), i cannot stress enough that divorce is allowed, almost everyone i know has divorced parents and they're all catholics. the church's official position is kinda weird (as of now pope francis basically said that it's "morally necessary" in some cases but he also referred to ppl who divorced and remarried as "imperfect", but like, it hasn't been forbidden for years, so much so that people get second marriages at catholic churches literally all the time, and i kinda feel like ppl overestimate how much ppl care about what the pope says. at least here in latam, cuz we've always kind of freestyled religion since it was imposed on us anyway, but like... in my experience the average catholic practitioner is INCREDIBLY less conservative than the vatican and i feel like most people don't even know what the pope says or doesn't say. and i'm saying that as someone whose grandfather almost became a priest and only gave that up because he fell in love with my grandmother, and he's been a ferverent catholic his entire life. also two of his kids divorced, one married a divorced woman, one is gay and living together without marriage with his divorced boyfriend, one never married, and one had two kids before marriage which necessarily means that they fucked, and none of that was ever a problem to him. oh, also, my dad had divorced AND he was a buddhist when him and my mom married. currently he is a spiritist)
i think it might be possible that u technically have to ask for "permission" to the church to remarry in church, but in practice i think it's more of a ritualistic thing than actually asking for permission, cuz i've never met a single person who had them say no. it was pretty much "hey local bishop guy so my husband sucked and we divorced can i marry again" "sure lol". obviously it sucks that you even have to ask, but it's nowhere near as strict as people seem to think
the contraceptive thing is also absurd. like i cannot stress enough that my family would absolutely flip if they found out i DIDN'T use contraception. that was always something that my family reinforced very strongly, ESPECIALLY my grandpa. i've never met a single catholic who does not teach their kids to use contraceptives. my high school was catholic (literally named the Holy Cross, fun times, although they didn't impose the faith or anything. in fact almost half of the students in that school are jewish, but like, still, there was a priest in the school board) and we were taught to use contraceptives, put the condom in a banana and the whole pizzazz during biology class
like yeah the bible says not to but it also says not to mix different fabrics and that doesn't mean it's actually a thing that's reinforced in most catholic communities doaihdaj at least not here in latam. in here non-catholic christians are actually way more hardcore about the puritanism rules than catholics are, particularly evangelicals, which are kind of overtaken the catholics' traditional role of being colonialist fuckers as they are mostly from the US so they come to further US imperialism through religion here. watch out catholic church they're coming for ur crown
and even outside of puritanism, "non practicing catholics" are absolutely a thing like ppl who are catholic but don't even pray or go to church, much less care about that shit douahdsaohj so like the stereotype that all catholics are like the very small minority of hardcore catholics is like the stereotype that every muslim lives by the ultra-conservative muslim rules. it's not true and it's stereotypical and taking the minority ultra conservatives to be the rule when they are not
there's also the fact that there are many different currents of thought inside the catholic church (a little bit like with judaism although way less flexible than judaism is), some of which are very conservative, some of which are progressive. here in latam in particular the teology of liberation is extremely popular (it's the one my family subscribes to, and i'm pretty sure it was actually born here in latam) and it's pretty progressive. for catholics, that is
and like mandatory disclaimer that i am coming from my own experiences with latam catholicism, which i feel is different from other catholic countries - my polish friends for example have experiences with catholicism that are a lot closer to those stereotypes than mine ever were - but since most of the catholic population in the world is brazilian (like me), and second place goes to mexicans, i feel pretty comfortable taking it as a ruler to measure general catholic practices
with that being said, however, the catholic church can choke and die in a fire as it is a symbol of colonialism first and foremost, its proselitism is one of the worst things ever, and even the progressive currents are still way too damn conservative for my tastes. i just don't feel comfortable transcribing something that i know is incorrect and stereotypical (and that in some cases is used to further oppression like with the Irish in the UK or armenian catholics, and i've even had some US-diaspora latinos hear some incredible things from gringos who assumed they were catholic, or, in their beautiful words, "had latino religion". but obviously in most cases catholics are the oppressors, especially here in the third world)
also, her assessment in the third video is absolutely correct. A/B/O IS just conservative gender roles born of christian and catholic imposition transposed to a fictional world where the genders have slightly different names, which is why i, as a rule, hate it dauhdsaiuhdauhda and even though the assessment that catholicism is thaaat much more conservative than other christian religions (it's absolutely not, it's Exactly As Conservative) isn't true, catholicism is still where most if not all of western conservative rethoric is born of, and ugh, it's so refreshing to see someone understand this and put it into words so well
so yeah keep that note in mind but anyway, transcriptions:
[Video transcription #1: in reply to a tiktok question, which says, "now i'm thinking about the catholic guilt that would come with it oh my god". user @Omarsbigsister is saying, "good morning", she then covers her mouth as she starts to laugh, before continuing, "I guess I'm the religious omegaverse tiktoker now. I did not know catholic guilt was more than just sex, I thought it was just about sex, but nO. people who are catholic, if you don't know, they get guilt over every little thing, they get guilty when they eat, they have guilt when, like... [dismissive gesture] they have fun... it's messed up *cut* [mumbling i don't understand, sorry] in which you HAVE to be bonded before... *sticks tongue out* *cut* and catholics, from what i know, uhm, cannot get divorced, so you can't be unbonded, you're stuck for life with that alpha or omega, and then you can't use contraceptives so if you have a heat or rut, good luck, you cannot escape it, and on top of that, they preach abstinence, right, so if you're having a heat or rut in your teen years you just gotta deal with it alone like you are not allowed to be bonded, so, that would be really intense."
#2: in response to a question, which said, "follow up question: if in the real world hijabis are women, in ABO universe would hijabis be omegas of all genders?". the user is shown stroking her chin in contemplative silence for a long time, before she says, "actually, both men and women have to wear a hijab, it's just more visible on women, but men also have to cover from like, the neck all the way down... so like when you see them [mumbling i don't understand, sorry] that's their hijab. *cut* Islam is actually treating men and women, like, fairly somewhat equally, so, I feel like in omegaverse alphas, betas, and omegas would all be held to the same standards, and alphas and omegas would also be held by the same standards but then culture would ruin it, just like western culture has ruined it. for your other question. 'would muslim families prefer betas more, and would betas be spiritual leaders', i feel like everyone prefers betas more, but then also Islam came to like, uplift women [a written note then shows up, which says, "like girls are seen as a blessing to have as kids"], so like omegas would be seen as like, a blessing to have as a child.
#3: in response to another tiktok question, which says, "fun fact bestie you cannot get divorced in the catholic religion even if your spouse is abusive and horrible to you so in omegaverse how would that work?". she replies, "the reason that Abrahamic religions seemingly fit so well into the omegaverse universe is because catholicism specifically and christianity, uhm, all the gender norms and all the cultural norms especially in the west came from catholicism and christianity, they were forced on people, and then you know, people might not be religious, but the norms stay. but now you have omegaverse which is basically just a bunch of like youth exploring the youth through this, like, werewolf fanfiction trope, using all these gender roles that you have in society on their head, so, really, what i'm saying, is that... omegaverse is just catholicism fanfiction"
#4: she looks at the camera and says, "getting islamophobic comments is one thing, but getting islamophobic comments that say that muslims cannot be in the omegaverse".... she then breaks into laughter for a solid 30 seconds
#5: she is shown reading out loud, in a mock-outraged face, a tweet that says, "about to murder tiktok they try to make Ramadan a 'quirky' trend. it's a religious holiday. stop it, get some help. /srsly /g.", then a follow-up tweet, which says, "saw a tweet saying on tiktok they are asking questions about how ramadan would work in omegaverse. i'm done with y'all, just say you disrespect muslims and go". then another tweet by a different user, which says, "i tried to read, i got secondhand embarrassment-" they then break out of character and say, "oh, that's fair," before going back, "if it wasn't ramadan i'd be boxing those people right now. those people should be ashamed to even think that way wtf". then another, which replies, "well i'm not celebrating it, so as a non-muslim, i'll happily box them". then, back to her normal voice, she says, "i really was just making a silly little tiktok and seeing that stuff really hurts... i'm just kidding, i can't keep a straight face. you like minecraft youtubers, what are you gonna do to me? what are you gonna do to me?"
#6: in reply to a tiktok ask, which said, "prince philip was an omega". she slowly films herself as she takes a walk, finds the nearest trash bin, and tosses the phone there, before putting the lid over the box. end ID]
