Why I’m here...and not somewhere else

I thought about this a fair bit. There’re a few reasons I’m not posting within my LinkedIn network (felt just a bit too formal), or creating a newsletter (um, a decent amount of work and then: emails), or, or, or. There are benefits to each of the many many social options, but settling here gives me flexibility, enables my reach, and also opens up the blog-world to people who’ve never accessed a platform like this.

This is my hope: by posting something every day, I'll build an informal community of ... 

Entrepreneurs – I believe that we all have a little entrepreneurial spirit within us. Sure, some more than others. But give yourself the focus, the freedom to be creative and then the stillness to listen? You'll be amazed by your amazingness.  

Awesome coaches – fork in the road...which way do I go? And why is that? 

People who might be contemplating looking, or who are l like me and are actively looking, for a role that will make their heart sing – and hey, I don't care if your heart wants to sing opera from its biggest voice or demurely humm a little ditty. I believe it's possible to love what you do when it’s an extension of who you ARE / want to BE.  

I'm looking for sharers, here. Because I am one. And I love people. Tribe. Community. 

I want to create a conversation filled with shared experiences (the more comically embarrassing the better), thoughts, opinions and good counsel. Later I’ll use this as a reminder that the consistency of small daily steps leads to amazingness.  

I'm happy to be someone's / everyone's biggest coach. Because I have great counsel. I do. Though it's tough for me to listen to my own good advice (because I'm in the situation and suspect I'm not as objective as I could be), I have an uncanny ability to look at a situation and fairly quickly decide on the best, most efficient, economical and ultimately successful approach. Helping makes me happy. 

And, if you get nothing else from being here, I hope you’re at least entertained by the ups (there will be many), the downs (there’ll be some of those too) and the (anticipated) comedy. Because laughter? So good!

Why I call myself Ax

I started referring to myself as Ax when I had a complete mental break down earlier this year and I felt like I was falling off my axis. I needed a place where I could be free of social norms. Where I could be my own kind of freak and no one knows me.  

My family and friends are also probably freaks too but I’d rather not expose my inner core to them.  I feel shame and fear criticism and abandonment. But my inner goddess and my inner vixen are longing to share themselves - just to myself mostly but also perhaps to voyeurs if they so wish to follow my narrative.  

I welcome true, real and kind people to join my inner circle of anonymity. Interactive and intimate conversations to help dive deeper into ourselves. To encourage the inner freak - allow it to be free and perhaps freeing ourselves in our day to day lives as well. A release. A safe place. Not only exploring sexuality but also inner demons that are not for polite company. I am open and supportive to all loving and kind humans.  I support the down trodden - the unfortunate.

A little about me.

Just in case anyone was wondering. I’m a bisexual (probably just a lesbian), poor, parentless, college nerd. I go to college for Physics and Mathematics (dual degree), and I coach a local competitive rock climbing team. 

I’m a sensitive person and am healing from a lot of heartbreak throughout my life that I recently started addressing.

It’s my life’s mission to be a role model for those around me, and honestly, I think I do a wonderful job. I’ve decided to be better than the place I was brought up, and I both strive and succeed every day to be a healthy, loving person to those around me.

Still, lately its been a little hard to be kind. This pandemic has come about at the worst time in my life, dealing with so much heartbreak, isolation, and change. It’s made me quite angry too, as per my last post.

In my journey of healing, I’m trying to reach out to people who make me uncomfortable, because I’ve been building and rebuilding my life with the same kinds of toxic people. I need a reminder that there are some good people out there. People I can love, who will love me too, in the healthy way that I need and deserve.

I think if you agree with the things I say here, you’re probably one of those people. You might be if you disagree too, I dunno. Let’s chat anyway. Or yell. I need some of that.

Why I'm here

Okay so I'm new to tumblr, I created one a while ago and just never got into it, but one of my friends urged me into it, after I showed her my notebook, she told me that instead of writing it all down to put it on here, that there are people out there that understand where I'm at that would be able to help me out more than her, so I guess I'll see where this takes me.

I work as a freelance technical translator and sometimes also do layout design for the documents I work with. I also went back to university this year so the time I can actually invest into my work has become limited, sometimes making it impossibly difficult to read e-mails I get from some customers without pulling my hair out or going mental.

Or maybe I already am mental for choosing this field ...
