Astrology Observations No.26

(Just based on my opinions, only take what resonates)

-Aquarius mars can denote a career around trends, tech, and social media. It can also denote your career taking off during times of social progress or spearheading social progress. (John Boyega’s career took off when he became the face of a much more diverse Star Wars, and a lot of his most celebrated roles have a social consciousness to them, pretty great if I do say so myself)

-Virgo venus gets the reputation of being picky in relationships (and they are) but I feel like Sagittarius Venus can be more fickle. Virgo Venus natives have a set of standards and attributes they’re looking for, but Sagittarius Venus natives will put you on a pedestal then knock you off of it when you do something they don’t like.

-Underdeveloped Gemini Venus will ghost you in the middle of a crisis (man Pisces Venus too, but they may feel bad about it lol)

-When it comes to a sense of justice, I feel as though (developed) Scorpio moons give everyone a run for their money

-I feel like Aquarius in big 3 (sun, moon, rising) can often find themselves being forced to be humanitarian/being made to work toward the greater good in some situations (to lend others money, to take care of friends/family, to befriend someone lonely, etc.) I feel like these placements often can be forced to give more of themselves than they are comfortable with (developed ones will often find a great sense of joy in connecting with others through care though)

-On the other hand I feel like Leo in the big 3 can find themselves being forced to pay attention to themselves/become the center of attention (elevated at a job for their hard work, given unexpected attention for a talent, etc.) With Leo placements I notice that in their home life or childhood they may not receive the attention they need, but early on they get attention from outsiders. -Aries placements can often be the first in their family to do something (go to college, start a business, etc) without more long term oriented placements things like businesses may not last though

Frankly put I think some of this fandom doesn't understand what "anger issues" actually mean because let me tell you, it's not being rightfully upset about Felipe and Gloria or even Two Face after he finds out about Willis. like... just because he's portrayed alongside "emotional shutdown except when he's EXTREMELY NOT" Batman doesn't mean Jason's reactions are like... particularly volatile or extreme.

Like esp when put alongside a room full of adults who are just calmly going "damn him," Jason's a teenager and he's going to be more emotionally responsive. And, yknow, the writer(s) just like to portray adults as more cool and in control.

But even among teenagers you can recognize these kinds of patterns of anger and... mostly he doesn't have it. You can't point to incidents of reacting to particularly egregious bad things and the responses to them and call it "anger issues" because like... That's just normal responsiveness.

I think that just inherently part of the conceit of Robin is that the whole POINT is to have a more emotionally responsive partner for Batman to bounce off of. Like from the very first issue, Batman's new partner (Dick) was described as "daring and impulsive" and the dynamic is established as this contrast. It allows the writers to have someone respond more within the story and Batman to be cooler by rising above emotional responses and get the job done.

But back then it wasn't a mark against Robin, it was EXPLICTLY marketed as a positive and interesting trait. So when we roll around to post-crisis and these traits that have been quite literally the defining mark of the Robin mantle are negative, some of us have issues witht he implications in HOW it's portrayed as negative.

Like yes, it's interesting for a heroes greatest strength to also be their greatest flaw, but when you make the flaw more predominant than it as a virtue ESPECIALLY when you've now changed the character to be a poor, formerly homeless kid? It has bad fucking vibes.

And, again, an extreme emotional response to an extreme circumstance (all but catching a perp in the act, not being able to do anything about him, seeing him use his "one phonecall" to drive the victim to suicide RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU????) is perfectly fucking rational, and not part of a broader scope of "anger issues."

one thing i picked up on in the return is how crosshair is more talkative now, even more so than he was pre-order 66. just little things like acknowledging echo's statements or chatting extensively with omega. idk in the past his dialogue was more or less strictly plot relevant with a few characteristic quips here and there but his defining trait when hunter first introduces him in tcw is "crosshair isn't much of a talker" and it's just like. so healing to see him be this 10% more open yknow

except like obviously theyre different people and the distinction feels like... scotts gay and grians straight but only plays gay characters if that makes sense? i did have this concept for my keykid dayn i never put anywhere bc i wasnt Too sure about it and also never got around to refreshing myself on the khux story to really flesh dayn out bc i Forgot lmao. figure i gotta say it Somewhere though bc its been in my notes for like. maybe two years?

i wanted to play with the fact that 1) there is no indication of where the keykids come from really? and 2) i have a habit of making characters be copies of Me, but then gradually introducing new personality traits until they become somebody entirely separated from myself

when dayn first arrives in daybreak town he is kind of just this. blank slate. barely emotive. doesn't really have any defined likes and dislikes. plods along doing his tasks for his union bc listening to what others tell him is all he can really do in this scary new place full of strangers

as he tries to get used to things, he learns to change himself to whatever fits his situation. if a certain fellow union member responds better to someone serious and on-task, then dayn will be as serious as possible. if someone jokes with him, he'll be twice as jokey to fit in.

as a side note this is where he picks up sewing. he's not as good as the other keyblade wielders so he gets beat up on missions a lot, it tears up his clothes, so he starts trying to repair them himself. he's not good at That yet so his jacket becomes this mess of mismatched fabric patches and shoddy stitching. very literal representation of how his personality has been stitched together out of scraps

when he meets his friends florian and esen, he finally feels comfortable enough to really settle into just one personality, what he can safely call Dayn Himself. he perfects sewing and his jacket is no longer the frankenstiened mess it was before, he experiments with his style and adds the hair bow and plushies

even after that though there is still this nagging feeling that he isn't where or who he's Supposed to be. he has these vague memories that appear to him dreams every so often, that both feel like Him, but also not? he chalks it up to them being memories of close friends, perhaps

the idea was that those memories belong to My Other OCs who were also meant to be me. yknow, alto, dallas, daichi (my pla protag i never said their name anywhere LMAOSJJDBFK), pretty much any character i played as even if i didn't fully finish them. dayn never fully feels like he belongs anywhere bc he literally doesn't, he's a multipurpose vessel that can be plonked down literally anywhere. he's just unfortunately more cognizant of it because of kh's fuckery with memories and your sense of self. some d/ltarune type thing where i am parading around in someone else's brain just so i can observe a story

one of my initial ideas for missing link was to make dayn appear in amihan's dreams, since they end up being his next iteration. dayn wants to make sure he isnt forgotten (since before him and alto, i had a tendency to. not do a lot with my ocs. i'd think about them occasionally, i'd like having them around, but they were essentially abandoned). he tries to tell amihan about his story in the little time they have together while amihan is dreaming. amihan then becomes a storywriter, trying their best to note down everything dayn tells them in the form of a novel to keep his story alive. a doomed endeavor since missing link is Missing, both in-universe and now out of it

also can i just say. i completely forgot how close marnie and hannah are. like in the physical sense. in the pilot they wake up cuddling in the same bed after falling asleep watching a film the night before. marnie's boyfriend walks in on them sharing a bath. i just think that's worth noting

which brings us to the next match-up actually. jonathan as hannah "the voice of my generation.. or at least a voice of a generation" horvath. this one sort of falls into place by default being the main-main character and all but honestly i think it holds up. her penchant for trying to be deadpan and ending up saying the most out of pocket shit at inopportune times. deeply introspective and self-aware but also somehow not at all etc.

one of the other scenes i half remember is jessa and hannah together at a train stop in the middle of nowhere with hannah yelling about her uti mid-convo while peeing at the side of the tracks. their dynamic is deranged. would 110% have a toilet paper fight. hannah would absolutely order a burrito above her spice tolerance to impress jessa

so yeah that said alex is the jessa of the group to meee w/o question. effortless cool girl but also what the fuck is wrong with her god bless <3 living in her own world at all times and it's anybody's guess what's going on in there. also there are of course these photos. that is jessa johansson if she was a man from guernsey (dont ask what thats supposed to mean because i dont know either)

moving on. if i had to be real life friends with one of the girls it would def be shoshanna. she might come off as a bit yknow. unassuming(?) at first but honestly as far as i can recall she's the actual voice of reason more often than not. there'll be several moments where you're like "oh wait she's real as fuck actually" also she just seems like she genuinely wants the best for her friends (or if she does do something awful at some point... well. sorry i forgor) anyway this is why mike simply has to be shosh. also i've decided he too needs to go on a solo trip to japan and dye his hair pink. just because. anyway yeah underrated queens the both of them (among the uninitiated at least)

I'm gonna say this right up front: you're not broken. nobody is! whenever you find yourself worrying that there's something about you that would make any potential partner go running, I want you to imagine the situation were reversed. if a woman you were attracted to told you something about herself that was the same thing you're ashamed of in yourself, would you stop being attracted to her?

in this case, would it be a dealbreaker for you that someone else hadn't had any previous sexual partners? would you think they were broken and unfuckable, or would you see that as just one aspect of a person who's much more than their sexual history?

if you wouldn't feel negatively about a partner having that trait then I'm sorry, you're not allowed to hate it in yourself! them's the rules!

listen: very rarely does a person pick a sexual partner because of their extensive sexual resume. people connect over shared interests, over similar senses of humor and values, over bonds that can be formed in a second if the vibes are right. most people won't care how many other partners you've had; they'll care if you seem interesting and dynamic and worth getting to know more in a carnal manner.

oh my god I know I’ve mentioned it before but I rlly cant stop thinking about it. don’t go into the woods is literally the pinnacle of autistic representation (to me). bear with me because I have a migraine and am struggling to stay conscious but. There are just so many various autistic experiences shown throughout the episode and what happens to jack in it. Like it’s borderline upsetting (for me) to watch because of how resonating they are.

firstly, jack actively wants to try and put himself out there. He wants to make friends and have normal human experiences even if he can’t exactly stop being ‘special.’ (Also, he does specifically say that he is “himself” again once his powers are back, so it’s like, yes that is something he more or less sees as an inherent part of himself, but I think the part he struggles with is the consequential nature of his powers and who he is. as I’ve said before, it’s one thing to simply be different than it is to be treated differently. )

furthermore, once jack realizes the kids are basically ‘safe’ to be honest with, as they’re aware of monsters, he’s the exact opposite of shy about his powers. that’s one thing about him I really love . Like he LOVES to show off and impress people and be praised/appreciated by others.it’s such a silly trait I wish was characterized more often. He also just instantly starts unmasking and info dumping Twice about Haitian zombie law (to Sam and Dean) and how to kill monsters god he’s so special you don’t understand. He is not a gatekeeper you WILL be forced to know about his special interests.

however even tho jack is shown to be very proud of his abilities and hunting knowledge the very Minute that he senses the other kids think he’s weird (Reminding everyone that they were judgy from the start and did not in fact invite him over because they like him) he just Cannot Stand It . That’s the consequential part yknow. Like jack does see and feel his powers as just an inherent part of him (which they Are), he’s literally said they feel like breathing. It’s just Who He Is yknow. but the consequential part of it is that people are either afraid of him, they hate him, or they think he’s weird. And jack doesn’t like any of that shit. He doesn’t like being cast out or defined by the thing that makes him a little more different.

‘he’s back to being the oddball.’ back to it, like that’s just the unfortunate default he’s stuck filling. (Also on another note I think it’s really sad on that he can already recognize the particular facial expression for “We Think You’re A Freak”). It’s like he can just sense the rejection and isolation before he even actually receives it, and the mere perception of that is enough to totally throw him off. Totally not an experience any autistic person has ever felt before. Totally not similar to a particular co-morbid form of dysphoria that commonly plagues autistic individuals. Not at all.

This episode has probably the most bleak ending to me? Not in a competitive sort of way, the show has gotten far bleaker I am aware. But in both the original script (that got entirely changed) and the actual episode, it ultimately ends with Jack just not having friends. We’ve all seen the episode I won’t recap that far. Head still hurts bad. But In the script, Jack only ever shows the kids various combat moves with an angel blade, and the accidental stabbing is by Eliot, and Jack healing Stacey is basically the Big Reveal of his powers and , as the script above shows, what he Really is. ?.

I guess all of the combined stress and just shock of the monster world (Eliot is previously shown to be basically paranoid of things out to get him earlier in the script) is enough for the kids to very gently let jack down and say they’ll see him again or something, but it literally ends with jack’s inner monologue that he knows he’s never gonna see them again, and going “so much for having friends.” The End.

And idk. To me It’s just so. Isolating. Like. You try and make friends and be a little normal and belong somewhere else for once but the entire time you get the vague sense that you’re still too weird and out of place, that everyone else also thinks you’re weird and out of place. You’re so used to rejection that the impending sense of it starts looming over you, but you still wanna put yourself out there! You still want to at least try! And then you get the pile of bricks dropped on your head. The Impending Rejection. Everyone leaves you alone again and you’re left with the solidified knowledge that you are in fact, too weird and too different to belong anywhere else, to have friends. You can’t be normal or accepted, you’ll always be alone and isolated and rejected.

Oh this IS a pointless opinion but I love complaining and it's always nice to have something stupid to complain about rather than. Uh. The last post which is quite serious. Idk I think it Makes Sense to some extent to make Crowley Into Plants the same way plant people are in real life, he wouldn't yell at them specifically to make them grow better if he didn't, yknow, want them to grow better, but I do think like all fandom things it stretches into a "flanderization" kind of zone. I think ideally the plants can function as a kind of pet, and I love it when characters have pets, I notice how infrequently characters in things I like have pets, it gives them something to care about without the absolute slog of writing about a child. It gives you, the writer, the opportunity to explore Crowley's caretaking style(s) while, again, not putting ME through the absolute SLOG of reading about CHILDREN! (I actually only extend this ire to like, "fanchildren" type stuff I think having Crowley interact with other characters' children is awesome and funny) And it is silly to make Plant his defining character trait, but people do that with everything. Crowley is someone who really only has like two hobbies and when coming up with stuff he does besides "hang out with Aziraphale" you're basically left with plants and alcoholism. hello and thank you so much for the ask!!!!!! i will also use this ask as an opportunity to pitch scavengerverse in general since i havent posted much concrete details about it yet haha

so first, a brief introduction since most of its development has been offline thus far, but anyway scavengerverse is the name @llatimeria and i gave to our superheroes+villains oc headworld that originally centered around my boy vinny, also the masked hero known as The Scavenger. he, along with many others in the original cast, are, basically, humans with genetically modified animal hybrid traits that are, you guessed it, escaped (or otherwise originiated from) a dubious science lab.

vinny, for example, has bearded vulture dna, as well as being part of the approximately 1 in 4 population of human-animal hybrids that have awakened superpowers. his superpower is the power of flight, but that is technically entirely coincidental to him having giant bird wings (there are other human-bird hybrids with wings that cannot fly, bird wings cannot support a human body in flight on their own. flight powers can manifest regardless of which specific animal dna)

the vinny angle on scavengerverse was conceptualized back in 2018, revisited during uhhh 2021? and in like 2022-on, latimer and i have been fleshing the hell out of all the other characters, and incorporating blorbos past with new life here in scavengerverse. on that note unfortunately we might have a bit of a homestuck cast type situation going on in that regard. but thats okay because its actually really fun to have a project without a single defined core protagonist group, and trying to make a cohesive and effective storyline while navigating that challenge

all this to say, as far as answering your question: my favorite thing about scavengerverse is that this is the first time ive been able to have complete and absolute fun with the creation and ideas we're putting into this. even tlh (the last human, my previous main sci-fi oc headworld) got concepts toned down when i thought i was being too silly with it. at one point niyt was going to be forced to operate a mecha, and it was going to be so cool and dramatic and gihr would have to like climb the mecha to save them and it wouldve been so cool. but i was like Nah.. thas too silly. the mecha thing really comes out of nowhere, it's clearly been included just for the rule of cool. so basicly. whay if Nobody take me seriously . because i added a cool robot scene without good enough reason

But so now, with scavengerverse- well, i haven't had any particular ideas in mind for introducing a minor mecha component to sv yet, but if i ever do, we're actively making the kind of world where, yknow what, Yeah, there probably would be at least some mecha action, happening somewhere in this world, at some point - so sure, why not here, and now, within the story actively being explored?

and like, this story started with misunderstood escaped lab experiments with cool powers, so sure, why not go ahead and add whatever else is fun to play with - we've added witches, aliens, devils, psychics, a mafia, hell even one of our biggest oc blorbos right now in our biggest oc blorbo ship came from me re-reviving my old as fuck bisharp oc, from back when i roleplayed pokemon on deviantart in like fucking 2011. it is never too late to return to the playground my friends 🧡

PART 1: The System of KGTAC

when the john cosplayer asks about god tiers, dave firstly says that everyone and everything is made of aspects. what this implies about sburb itself, i still dont exactly understand. do certain concepts just happen to have a high composition of an aspect than others? like, would the idea of religion/zeal be made of hope? does the wind blow because the little breathlets in it like to do as they please? its surely an interesting idea cole thought to chew on. maybe john can become a zephyr since his god tier allows him to transform into the breath aspect itself, not as in "doing this would make him free from consquence" but more "this guy is now 99% concentrate breath aspect". the kgtac god tier system contrasts homestuck's god tier system, probably because homestuck is meta in a much different way to how kgtac is. ill just refer to them as h!godtiers and kc!godtiers to avoid confusion. Anyways as i was saying, h!godtiers are "assigned" to a person, whereas kc!godtiers ARE the person. i.e, an individual defines their mythological title in homestuck, and an individual is defined by their mythological title in kgtac. especially considering that there are millions of bajillions of class/aspect combos present in kc!dave and kc!karkat's multiverse, it would be entirely possible for that to be the case.

PART 2: The Mu of Pane

now that ive established my perspective on how kc!godtiers work, lets actually dissect some of them. we'll go in the order of kc!dave mentioning them. the mu of pane is only described as "an extremely powerful god tier", but that isnt much to go off of. instead i'll be using some research to perhaps mold it into thw shape of dave's description. "mu", or μ, is the twelfth letter of the greek alphabet, romanized as the letter m. it derives from the egyptian hieroglyph for water, which were modified by the phoenicians and named after their word for water, mem. in academics it can mean a LOT of things, so to save myself a headache ill use it to represent extremely small units, minimization operators, and the cleanliness of an orbital zone. this helps us narrow it down to two things, flow and reduction. "one who allows for flow" or "one who creates flow" is pretty boring, to me at least. sylph and page are already the "creation" classes, so maybe it could be "one who allows flow of aspect from one place to another". if we take the reduction route, "one who minimizes aspect" or "one who reduces aspect". personally, im going to go with the latter. when i think of "mu", i think about microns and shit. if you want to theorize about the guy who lets pane flow, i implore you to. speaking of pane, what is pane? dave says "pane as in window pane" which helps a lot actually. what is the one thing that windows do? they allow for the passage of light, knowledge. pane as an aspect relates to open-mindedness, focus, and transparency the most. on the other hand, pane could be corrupted into blind belief, fragility, and inflexibility. yknow, cus glass. pane is closely connected to light, mind, hope, and rage. pane players can encompass any of these traits to any degree! my first thought is kankri. kankri possesses mostly negative traits of pane, but hes very clearly focused and inflexible in what he believes in, whether it be for the best or worst. theres also probably a pun to be made for him being a pain. the Mu of Pane would not at all be like kankri though. a Mu of Pane, or one who restricts, reduces, and overall diminishes Pane, is an underminer. at their full potential, the Mu of Pane can blur the line between reality and surreality to the point where one cannot tell the difference. they can create distrust, doubt, and infighting among their enemies, and be hiding in plain sight. this is why the Mu of Pane is such a powerful god tier. despite their disruptive abilities, they can still be a positive asset to a team. simply being around a Mu of Pane will make you constitute. mind reading and control is near useless, as if the mu's skull was made of lead. perhaps an archetype for this god tier are tinfoil conspiracists! distrusting of authority and willing to convert anyone by any means.

PART 3: The Tide of Yon

the next two god tiers are tricky, as dave spends little time on them. my first thought when i hear "tide" is a bringer of something, like how the tide brings water to higher onto the beach. the definition of tide specifies the rising and falling of the sea levels. theres also a verb; to tide is to drift and fluctuate with something or someone. the tide would be "one who fluctuates aspect", or "one who drifts with aspect", which are pretty vague roles? im sure it will work out though. a Tide of Blood could be the one who brings a team together, but as their title suggests, it wont last long. an archaic definition for tide is "a space of time" which i found to be kinda funny, both because that would be a valid mythological title and how it segues into the yon aspect. yon literally means "that over there", which i interperet to be something upcoming. yon can be the speculation of the future, or the dread of an unstoppable force. yon would associate with the passage of time, movement across space, dread, sight, and patience. this makes yon closely connected to the cardinal aspects, not unlike life and doom. the Tide of Yon fluctuates and fluctuates with Yon. this means that the Tide's action are influence by the future, and the future is influenced by the Tide's actions, creating a loop. it could also be interpereted as the Tide fluctuating between different facets of Yon, such as the hope or dread that comes from it. perhaps the Tide creates conflicting predictions or even truths about what is on the horizon. im not able to pinpoint any specific abilities relating to this title, but i think thats reflective of the Tide's passive nature. their influence IS the power.

PART 4: The Fling of Rime

for this one, i'll start with the aspect rather than the class. theres much more i can draw from rime than i can with fling so. yeah. rime by definition is the frost that forms on things when water vapor or fog crystallizes. its like dew but frozen. to rime means to cover things in said frost. rime then could be the "ice aspect", in a similar way to how breath is the wind aspect or how life is the plant aspect. rime is all about lethargy, abandonment, and the weight of your actions, not unlike the weight of rime on the branches of winter trees. while these sound pretty bad, they're important themes in the context of sburb! a Sylph of Rime could be a teacher, while a Rogue of Rime can be a deadweight. in this sense, rime is a close relative of doom. the fling class on the other hand couldnt be more different. a fling is a short period of enjoyment or wild behavior, and to fling is to throw or hurl forcefully, typically without care. using this, the fling would be described as "one who discards aspect" or "one who is frivolous with aspect". the best way i can describe this would be someone who doesnt really understand their aspect, and therefore either wastes their potential or ends up being a liability to everyone around them. a fling could be an inversion of the mage class then; mages understand aspect, whereas flings misunderstand aspect. the Fling of Rime is "one who is frivolous with Rime", they dont know the weight of their own actions. this person may live in their own world, not paying attention to the events surrounding them. they may also have poor judgement, not knowing to look before they leap. there isnt much to salvage from this title, honestly. they could get cool ice powers? i guess? but theyre bound by fate for their fall to be by the Fling's own hands.

PART 5: The End of Post

hopefully ypu enjoyed this god tier analysis! ill definitely do more of these if i get requested to, cus its a lot of fun speculating. it did take me a while to write this all out, but thats cus i was basing this post off of three pages from an mspfa. like i said though, feel free to add anything youd like to this, whether you agree or disagree!

This is a compound ask of sorts because I've just caught up on a few things on your tumblr and I'm a curious little bitch... I can't help it. First off: Heyyy! Glad to see you're doing well.

Next point: I feel you 100% on the thing about life giving you what you think you want and then you realize, hmmm, you don't want it. I was wondering though if you've ever experienced the opposite too? Have you ever thought you wouldn't like/be into something about someone only to realize "wait, I actually like this"?

Personally I never thought I'd be into "pushy" men but I've come to realize over the years I just can't stand men who don't actively show you they're into you and are shy about it. I love to read it but to experience it, nah. Someone has to "annoy" me at least a little for me to get into them, banter will always do it for me. Obviously there's a limit to the "pushiness" but I think that's why I love 'the need to know' Haechan so much in Part 1 already. He toes the line sooooo well and he's only so proactive because he can tell Y/N is into it too. He's having his fun but still considerate of how the other person feels. Reading the room is a very sexy trait for a man to have 😌

With that segue: I think that shows why you're such a good writer. You always find the right balance with your characters, they have defining traits but not to the point they're two-dimensional and defined purely by said trait. I fear I'm in love with your writing. Also, you're actually insane? You've written and published so much of your work over just a couple of months and it's all such good quality. My mind is still reeling from 'the boy is mine' and now we get more Hyuck... we're feasting. It's honestly really impressive.

To say more on 'the need to know': Secrecy is also a theme in this fic but it's not in any way similar to 'the boy is mine'! It's skillful of you because it would've been easy for it to feel "same"-y but it doesn't and I love it. It's a completely different experience and unnerving in a different way. It's only Part 1 but I'm already screaming "no girl don't do it! you're only going to get hurt because you're already too intertwined with him!" Excited to see how it all develops and goes down.
