hiiiii, can we learn more about the changed characterization of the Daishinkan/Jiren relationship?

Sure thing!! Generally speaking, they do not spend a lot of time with each other as you would think, like maybe "visits" every 2-3 days a month. They also are way less romantic than what I pictured them before and are more friends with benefits(?) to say in a more SFW manner as that's what it truly is :\ Jiren is kinda just "ok, i can live with this..." about the relationship, and still tries to focus on training and other parts of his life. The Grand Priest (Maeda if you want to use his real name) is a LOT more wary of their relationship and pretty much keeps it more "professional". Maeda sometimes slips in personality and can seem more charming and warm, but that shuts right down once he notices. Although, Jiren is a person to find differences in everything, so their hot-cold personality is easily seen by him. Basically nobody is really truly aware of their relationship, not even the angels. Zeno knows, just not what exactly they do and Belmod and Toppo has some hints about it. I lot of the characterization back then was just willfully heavy mischaracterization </3 also extra notes mostly because i dont wanna make a seperate post Jiren goes by he/they while the GP goes by any pronouns in the whole wide cosmos Jiren is demi-nonbinary and the GP is technically agender as is all the other angels

cough i know this wasnt directly to jiren but i couldnt hold the urge he'd rather not use a omnipotent and omniscient beings feathers just for writing (also my characterization of Jiren and the GP has changed significantly from before, just a fair warning xp)

GARMADON HEADCANONS PLEASE I BEG OF YOU O MIGHTY CEO OF GARMADON /nf /nopressure

ITS THAT TIME AGAIN

Alot of this my be rephrasing old headcanons so I'll keep some of them short.

•Garmadon is pansexual

•as of post-comics, w/ 4 arms, he is 6,8

•without his extra arms, he is 6,5

• he has a weak immune system from the resurrection rendering his thick skin useless against the violent cold his kind would usually dominate

•He is very attached to the colour green. Can't help himself. He gravitates towards it no matter what.

•if hes alone in bed, he sleeps in the presence of a small, green light to help keep himself clam when he is shaken by nightmares. Unless he is outside like in the comics where he has the comforts of the starts, that's when he's alright.

•he prefers to sleep with someone. Depending on the au or season, Garmadon would sleep with Misako (all curled up in her arms for her attention) or he'd be cradling his 23 year old pup from the horrors of their past (he very lonely) or he's with the comfort of his brother (their tails kinda wrap around each other like they'd drift apart down a river if they don't. Their father taught them from when they were young and it stuck ever since. Especially in Fsm's absence.)

•Garmadon is easily flustered by positive attention, especially from Misako. Often he'll feel belittled by others being sweet to him bit he absolutely melts if Misako so much as smiles at him, so ling as he can see that shine in her eyes as her face wrinkles joyfully then he's good for nothing if he's so much as asked to think straight.

•he cries when he and Misako make love. Can't help it, he just gets emotional and starts dry sobbing into her arms while she kisses his palms

•Garmadon adores fighting large animals as an act of establishing dominance to the realm, things like Kuma and that giant scorpion in shatterspin, anything remotely double his size and above he shall fight, especially if it's another yōkai

•Garmadon hated his armour. He deplored it. It was tight around his frame and made him warm. It was suffocating and only made him feel even heavier. So through his time after the oni invasion, he slowly lost parts of the armour until he was left with the bloodied breastplate and a dirty hakama he had sown together to cover his extra arms. When he met vinny, this became his usual outfit and he would often return to the city for shelter and to clean himself thoroughly after weeks, near months, of his travels to other realms and across the realm.

•oni are very clean creatures, like raccoons they desire to clean their food and they care vitally for the care of their herds, pups and themselves. Garmadon is no different but allows some rough and tumble. But if he remains filthy for too long he gets overwhelmed and will try and groom himself (mainly his hands, face, neck, and calves) this is why he returns to the city.

•after a particularly cruel journey to the edges of Ninjago, Garmadon was left with a poorly wounded ankle that had swollen and bruised to look more like some dragon fruit than a part of his limb. During his return to the city the condition got worse and he was badly beaten up from the storms and broke a few ribs, nearly puncturing a lung from his fall down his stairs when he struggled to stumble up the apartment block.

•overall, Garmadon spent only a total of a few weeks with Vinny before he felt the crystal king and stayed for longer in fear he wouldn't be able to warn the ninja... he refused to see then again, bit when he was so close to figuring out who he was deep down.

•he owns a tattered Lloyd plush he had rescued from the dirt one rainy night. The one chnace he had to save his son so he took it.

•Garmadon has anxiety issues. Vinny has shared his overflow medication to help the oni adjust to his rest time in the city for when Garmadon was trying to recover from his ankle and ribs injuries

•one night Garmadon awoke from a particularly bad night terror and it sent him having an entire spiral. Vinny had been awake for a drink of water and headache tablets when Garmadon bolted up and threw up all over himself from the sheer lack of food he had eaten.

•vinny got him some sake and pizza and Garmadon never stopped getting buddies pizza due to the sheer servings bring so delicious and calory-full that the underfed oni was set to be a hulking beast on no time. ((Being large and "fat" is admirable and desirable in oni society))

•Garmadon is happier fatter. He isn't fat fat but hefty dad bod and muscles galore. Plush is comfortable and helps regulate his strength.

•he is also very very hairy.

•he desperately loves his wife but can't seem to fathom it

•he hopelessly misses his son but can't figure out how to do anything meaningful to show it

•a part of him still believes harumi and longs to have her around to tell him how to feel and what to think- but he also dreads to think what would happen had she still been alive..

•Garmadon can't remember what happened s8- early s9, he knows he tried to hunt down his son and imprisoned his allies, but when you ask him when he tried to kill Lloyd he'd assume that the Borg tower battle was the closest thing to being close to killing his son... not the Kryptarium fight where he nearly slaughtered his pup Live in front of an audience.

is it just me or i see Lloyd as AroAce? like i do NOT see him romantically or sexually getting with anybody, only platonic or sibling like relationships especially him with Harumi though, i only see a possible sibling relationship after they have made up and yknow, went to Therapy (also since Garmadon unofficially adopted her in my mind)
