I mean... it's visible that's a copy but it still should be noted. I did it for the art "competition", but the institution will pay me for the materials anyway. It was a great chance to study one of the greatest painters from my country - Jacek Malczewski. He's well known for his autoportraits, as he did a lot of them throughout his life. I also admire the way he was able to capture hands and various materials - his techniques and choice of colours are truly admirable.

Even though i had the chance to pick other artist whom i could copy from, like Boznańska, Kossak, Chełmiński, Matejko, Wyspiański etc., I think Malczewski was the best for me, beacuse it seemed the hardest. It may be surprising but I am covinced that it was partialy the point of taking a part in this contest. If i could spend my school time on recreating any piece, I wanted to choose the one i could learn the most from. Plus, fortunately, it's size is pretty small. Suprisingly, this artist preferred small canvases. His artworks are always so detalic, I thought otherwise. But at least it made it a bit easier for me, as i didn't have that much time. I started at the beginning of the May and today I had to submit it to my teacher. Although I will never see it again in person, it was amazing to create it.

This post is quite different from my previous ones, but honestly, I don't really care. For now i don't have a "community" I could call mine and I don't know if it's possible for me to have one on Tumblr (apart from those that are solidly based on fandoms and stuff)[I got the biggest deja vu rn....]. Maybe this account will somehow be more popular in the future, but till that day, if you'd read the whole post, sincerely, thank you : ). Have a great day.

Again, this is a doodle, because whenever I try to do something serious it turns out shitty. Did this yesterday after I got in the mood to draw him, because of the edits I've seen on Pinterest (shout out to all the great editors!!!!). The mediums I used are two pens in colour black and blue and also magenta/red acrylic.

Ignore the black thingies in left corners... these pins are holding my paper, because it started folding after I put paint on it 👹.
