Louis nods, the tingling against his skin intensifying. “And this thing we both seem to be feeling? Care to explain that to me too?”

“We’re bonded,” Harry states simply as if that is enough of an explanation. He is so nonchalant that Louis has the urge to hit him in that moment. It isn’t simple at all.

Louis is next in line for the throne, but he finds himself the victim of an attempted assassination through dark magic. He goes to Harry, a wizard, for help, but finds more than just help from him.

Zayn supposed that he was a fairly typical nineteen year old. Hated work, hated school, tired of his parents trying to control and pressure him. Zayn did not know very many nineteen year olds but all of them had similar concerns in their lives. Zayn was exactly like them in every way.

Except for the fact that Zayn was the prince of his parents’ kingdom and that the only nineteen year olds he knew were his father’s squire and the farmer’s son who brought produce in for the kitchens in the castle. They probably did not like their lives much, either.

Harry scrambled to his feet quickly and bowed. “Your majesty” Harry mumbled, not making eye contact but instead staring at the ground. “Please forgive me- I was just- um-I’m sorry”. Harry guiltily tried to hide the half made flower crown behind his back.

”H-Harry?“ Louis eyes widened in shock.

”Hi” Harry gave a small wave.

“Oh my goodness!” Louis rushed forward, smashing his body against Harry’s, wrapping his arms around him and holding him close. “I haven’t seen you in years. What are you doing here?” he said pulling back, noticing that Harry wasn’t hugging him back.

“I applied and well” Harry shrugged. “Here I am…”

However, since Louis was part of the royal family and the crown prince, there were still some rules he had to follow. And one of those rules was to never start anything with any of the people working for them, especially his servants.

He doesn’t want to wait, but everyone he’s turned to thinks waiting is the right choice, so he supposes he has to trust them.

That is, of course, until a declaration of war from the Kingdom of Tomlinson shows up at his palace.
