This happened today

I dared, I failed, I tried again, and then I crushed it!!!
I’ve done my very first freestanding handstand, and it was so much fun!! I finally stepped away from the safety of the wall, and realised that falling wasn’t really scary or painful. And suddenly I had no need for a wall at all. Now I’ve done more than 10 of these handstands... and there’s gonna be a lot more!!!

I was trying on all of my fall/winter clothes to see what new stuff I might need to buy…and I think it might be time for new jeans!! Ugh I remember how frustrated I was in the Target dressing room when I took that picture on the left. I could have given up and stopped trying right then and there, BUT I DIDN’T!!
Learning how to lose weight the healthy way, and keep it off, has been a long process for me. But I’m on what I would consider my official third try and I think this time I’ve got it!
Left: 200 lbs. (25 down from my highest weight) Right: 177 lbs.
Almost 25 pounds down this year and close to 50 pounds down overall! The goal is to lose 15-20 more :)
For reference, I am 5 ft. 8 in. tall and those jeans are size 14.

The weekend was kinda horrible. Keywords; cakes, fast food and alcohol... But I managed to get my steps and my workouts, even tho they weren’t much to brag about. Yesterday was good tho!
Today I removed two of my wisdom teeth, so I’ve been mostly sleeping and feeling sorry for myself. I tried to go for a walk with my dog in the evening, to reach my steps, but after 30 minutes I felt pretty beat up. No worries tho. I have some trouble eating, so I guess it’s OK to take it easy.

Weight loss
OK, so I’ve been active here on tumblr and IRL for the last 3 months. Today the scale finally showed results. HA! That took forever. Think I even gained a bit in August. I’ve done a good job in September food wise, even tho I have some munchies now and then. BUT, yesterday I washed all my “wearable” pants, so when I suddenly had to leave the house, I had only one set of jeans which I usually try to avoid ‘cause they’ve gotten too small. Had to put them on tho, and they weren’t that bad! So I think I’ve gotten some muscle weight the last months. That makes sense, most of my workouts are strength sessions.
Now I have a challenging weekend before me. A friend is visiting me, concert tomorrow, drinks after and my nephew’s confirmation on Sunday.

Victory!!!!
Today I did my very first handstand without my feet TOUCHING THE WALL
I got so excited that the whole gym heard me yell “sHiiiIIIIITTT!!!”, and even tho the suprise of it all made me slowly drop, I was still in balance as I came down with my feet!!!
