FINISHED
For this animation I know I didn't blog as much but this was because it had all my concentration. It is now 12:03 at night and I've got all the final colouring done and all is left is to put the background in in after affects, do any camera work and write. I'm proud that I managed to finish this in three days but I hope I never have to do it like this again.

Nearly there
I have 9 frames remaining to draw and then on to colouring which hopefully will only take an hour but I've definetly become quicker. In 40 minutes I drew 5 frames. I've also noticed I have to finish this on Friday as I don't have media encoder so I cannot work on it when I leave. So I will be getting as much help as I possibly can tomorrow from the teachers

An update on my progress, seven hours of work. Looking at it I need to work on the hair for the last part but it's going smoothly. Also I can extend parts so it will fill in time but it's going really well atm

MY FILE IS CORRUPTED. This is the remains. For the the next couple days I will be sorting out whether or not I can recover the file or I will have to redo this in a week and a half

while i restart animate
Here’s an update on my work. I’m five frames from finishing the line at and about to start colouring which I got a tip from a teacher about the close gaps option on the bucket tool which will help tonnes considering that with Zed I went through and had to touch up all my line art which took me three hours to do. With this I should be done by lunch time, in time to figure things out in after effects. I also have to figure out the objects thing cause I’ve apparently been doing it wrong the entire time.

Work update
Right now I'm doing clean up which is is due in a couple days and I'm down to 15 frames. Slowly it's gotten easier as the characters design has simplified and it takes me 20 minutes to do a frame now. I'm finding that my linework compared to the earlier zed animation had improved as its not filled with as many gaps but it'll be truely tested once I go on to colour. I will try to get down to 5 frames by tonight so I can work on my other school work.

another update
So after another week of work (forgot to update on the last lesson) I have started clean up with a weird method. I have my skeleton, but I started putting bulk on the characters but it became overwhelming and I left it. So now I’m doing the roughs on the frame then immediately doing clean up. I have the mindset for th e frame and its making it quicker in my opinion to do. ill hopefully make it by the end of the week, even being ahead of schedule but I cant slack off in case it ends up taking longer than expected. so lets hope for the best

So the front is missing from this since it's 4 seconds but my skeleton is done, had to crop the end as it looked too choppy but may add more if it doesn't end up being long enough to submit. Also had a little issue with timing with the jump as it was all the same speed; I tried deleting frames to make it work but I ended up lengthening the one at the peak of the jump by one to make it work. Now I'll be adding on bulk and the tails but I'm going to try Doing this quickly so I can get more done.

Arcs are helping create a more dynamic feel! Should have done this from the beginning...

An update on the skeleton and it may be hard to see but I've forgotten about the lead up to an action (the word for it I've completely forgotten) but I've notice dragging the upper body down a little in the previous action helps make it stronger although I may still have to tweak it a bit

Update on transforming character
Continuing on from the skeleton and sketches, adding in the smaller movement between frames and making it more smoother. For the start it's only small movements so I may get away with copy pasting her body and certain objects so it will take up less time. I am a little concerned with the end running and it seems fluid but not quite 'real'. It's legs may need to be more dramatised but I'll get to that point once I've finished the skeleton as it'll be easier to adjust. Honestly though I'm glad I chose to draw a skeleton first before going in and adding the guts of the sketch as it's making it easier to adjust.

here is the fist upload of the drafts, I’m enjoying this one a lot more. The expression of the ears really helps with giving the animation more life and once I tidy up I hope to add more movement to her tails. I almost forgot to shift the hind legs around for the fox form since the ankle essentially rises on the legs; but drawing the skeleton cleared that up. Also the suggestion of making the slide at the end more exaggerated by making her tip at the end has given it a better animated look.I am considering removing the last little bit or replacing it as it seems out of sorts. Next I’ll do more research in doing line art and colouring in animate as I learned with zed that it isn't as straight forward.(also to drag out the end)

day 5
working at school this time and on the final frames. I have to go through and animate the mouth and pupil/iris? but I also didn't mention that last time I was animation this I had to go through and readjust the crotch as I only noticed that when I bent zed down it was lowered and didn't get adjusted. so that was 10 minutes of stuff I had to do. For the moment I have 9 frames remaining. I also have colouring which I need helping with because I cant remember how to do the colour sampling.

Day 4 of zed
I am past the half way point and slowly I have become quicker at drawing the frames, perhaps it's because I've stopped being so critical of the lines and just quickly gotten through them. My next step after finishing the remaining outlines is to add in the lines for the clothes and zeds mouth. Then finally colour. If I work all night tonight and tomorrow morning I should have it done even before Fridays class.

Day 2 of blogging
So after downloading a trial version of animate, I’m now able to finish more of the dialogue animation. I’m on to the final lineart and I am doing rather well. I probably should have drawn roughs for zeds hands but now that can’t really be helped and all I can do is go down a layer and edit what I can. What I’ve noticed is that I tend to subconsciously make it more human proportioned as I try to lengthen the upper arm to make it right, even though I shouldn’t be. But going off the line art I can now fix it all up. Also it would have helped if we were given some reference on his eyes. Closing them and opening them is proving more difficult than it should be.
