Ehh...? Killing time. Just for me :)
In the past, I never uploaded many images.
I still feel a little bit bad for it. Either ... waste of hard disk space, hehe. or .. 「あんた、誰なの!?」 "Who the f- are you?!"
But recently...
When I search for images on many topics, I find a lot of AI generated images... Which has made me appreciate human art more.
So ...
mmh...
maybe...
it's OK to upload as well?
But still. I feel like I should tell a story.
I'll give my best next time.

Tokidoki Meguri Everyday (2017) - Movie Review
I haven't seen any English language reviews of this movie, imagine that.

What's it about?
Midori (right in the photo above) is a good-for-nothing unemployed and socially awkward person, who's only hobby is taking 1 walk each day and spying on a the guy she likes when he goes for a walk.
Midori and her friend Hiroko discover that if they slap each other at the same time, they can rewind time by 15 minutes. Naturally, the first things that come to mind are abusing this power for their own benefit.
And that's it?
Well, yes. There is some plot, but it feels a bit more "episodic" if you can say that about a 1 hour 10 minutes movie. It's feels very surreal even though (aside from the time leaps) nothing extraordinary happens. But I like the humor, even though it's often a bit silly with Midori's facial expressions (played by Torii Miyuki, she is like that...)
For example, there's this exchange:
Midori: "D- .. do you have someone who's on your mind?" Takami: "Yes, I have!" Midori: "I-.... is it me!?" Takami: "No, it's not!" Midori: "Ahaha of course, right" *cries* -- rewinds time -- Midori: "Do .. you have someone you like?!" Takami: "Yes, I do!" Midori: "I-.... is it me!?" Takami: "No, it's not!" -- rewinds time again -- Midori: "I really like and would like to go out with you." Takami: "I'm already going out with someone..." Midori: "I-.... is it me!?"
Well, maybe it's not all that funny when written down. Maybe you don't find it funny in the movie either. But I did.

So, what did you think?
I don't know if it's a good comparison but it reminded me a bit of the famous American movie "Groundhog Day". The premise and tone are quite different, but I feel like both movies are about how we go about our daily lives. The time warp plot device is a way for characters to explore the "what if" scenarios that people maybe play out in their heads, but not in reality.
I think in Groundhog Day the protagonist had to learn to be honest to himself or something, and in Tokidoki it's not quite that, but maybe more about "being happy with what you have".
The movie has a small cast and frequently recurring characters and locations, which ends up adding to a sense of familiarity by the end of it. I'm looking forward to watching it again to unwind.

(by the way I watched the movie on Hulu and screenshots I try to take turn out all black, so I had to take them from another review...)
