Also ☝️ it's interesting to me how despite fading more into obscurity the further we get from 1947, the ~ vibe ~ of the Old Hollywood Diva was such an iconic flavor of femininity that she still persists as sort of an echo in certain speech patterns and mannerisms, mainly found in gay people, miss piggy, and this horse

#was about to be like 'wait but i call people darling like that when i've had a few bevs' but then i remembered. i am gay#<- prev tags

"aros can still date!!": boring. tired. overused. frequently used to make aros look more palatable and acceptable to amatonormative society.
"alloros can still stay single!!": fresh. new. exciting. hearing it could change many people's lives for the better regardless of romantic orientation

I strongly agree with these tags from @listen-to-the-inner-walrus:
#tbh the ''i dont want yall killing people'' applies to non stem fields as well#first thought is psychology because that one is always on the line between science or non science#but even if we put psych in stem#if youve got a degree in like sociology or anthropology#one of your potential career paths is working on government policy#and boy howdy that's an easy way to kill a lot of fucking people#also geography is another subject where people argue about whether its stem or not and guess what?#you could also get a job related to government policy and fucking kill people#stem subjects aint the only ones this is a problem for
Like - I'm in STEM and at the current moment in time nothing I am doing has life-or-death significance for anyone. That might change if I go into studying disease evolution instead of plant evolution, but even then, tbh me fucking up is unlikely to have dire consequences. Meanwhile if e.g. a journalist decides to report some spurious information about a health scam they are VERY liable to get someone killed. Non-STEM degrees and career paths are not free from holding power over others and the mentality that only STEM students are doing "important" things or that only STEM students' mistakes can have terrible human consequences is way too pervasive. We are all capable of immense harm!
academic dishonesty is not something you can spin as moral lol i do not want to share a career field let alone a social sphere with a bunch of chatgpt using ass bitches

They should do an immersive Orpheus and Eurydice stage play where the whole audience has to turn their back on the stage though the actors still have choreography and if a single person looks back to try to view the performance then Eurydice dies and everyone has to go home

When my mother gets into facebook fights with her childhood friends who grew up to be racists, she passive-aggressively fucks with them by making a donation to a local refugee assistance organization in the name of their immigrant grandmothers, a donation large enough that they get a card from the organization saying so. She passive aggressively fucks with the same demographic of friends who #bluelivesmatter by commenting with details about the various petty crimes they committed together as teens, e.g. “Wow Joey, where was all the respect for blue lives when we hotboxed your uncle’s patrol car?”
And obviously both these approaches are specific to former juvenile delinquent turned UMC babyboomer but it feel still inspirational in that we can all find our own chaotic good pettiness niche.

I saw some snippet of a callout post for an autistic trans woman where they list social faux pas she committed, and I think we allistic people should all feel 100x more ashamed of not telling people in the moment how we feel about what they're doing. I think its extremely evil and cruel to not only lie to an autistic person and blame them for it but also to feel justified shaming them for your behavior. And it's currently the social norm to do that

I feel like some of you guys think "bad art" is like someone gluing rhinestones to a water melon, or a guy who made his own armchair out of Ohio license plates, or a trashy romance novel where someone says "the blue-eyed one kissed the brown-eyed one," when in reality bad art is a 1000000 Billion Dollar movie where none of the workers got paid and every single creative decision was market tested to see how lucrative of a profit it could foreseeably make to wow shareholders.
