I think it's about time that we address the elephant in the room. In the recent past, Bungie has done some pretty iffy things on all fronts. As much as I love Destiny (having gotten 3 tattoos for the game on my leg) I have decided to break away from playing the game in the recent months. I haven't even touched this most recent season. (season of the witch) and have instead been spending my time enjoying other games (call of duty, starfield, cyberpunk 2077 mainly). I love aHiS, and I love Destiny, but I'm burnt out and just can't seem to connect to anything Destiny related at this moment. Seeing as I haven't gotten any requests or come up with anything on my own, I'm going to be putting this blog on an indefinite hiatus. I don't plan on quitting writing, and because of that I'll most likely be making a blog more open to various fandoms and the like. If you guys want to follow me there, I'll be putting out a post at a later date if/when I make it. I appreciate and love all the support you guys showed aHiS and its various little ramblings. Thank you guys so much for the great experiences and memories and I hope to see you guys in the future!

Holy fuck that Final Shape trailer. Not going to talk about it but damn.

So I know I've gone awol again and that I said I was gonna work on aHiS but between life and lightfall/season of defiance I just had no drive for anything destiny related.

I think for now I'm going to put aHiS on hold and start taking requests from you guys for anything and everything (destiny related or even other Fandoms if I know them!)

My goal is to finish off and close the aHiS fic and hopefully do it justice. I'm not going to be able to follow my original ideas as I didn't keep up with writing during the previous seasons. But once aHiS is closed out, I do want to write more shorter stories/one-shots. I know a lot of you enjoyed Wraith and wanted to see more of him. So my question is as follows:

Okay, so... With the poll here and the comments on Ao3, plus having re-read most of the fic, I have decided to try and pick up from where I left off.

This might be a bit jarring since I've now missed a whole DLC cycle. I'm not entirely sure how that's going to go what with Lightfall coming out on the 28th. I'll do my best to try and fall back into the swing of things and get more chapters out to hopefully close this story and move onto the next one.

Things have finally started to settle down. I've moved across the country and have been letting my usual seasonal depression die down. I'd like to do something more with my writing now that I am feeling some sort of draw toward writing again.

A little update again x3 I’m still trudging through the impact of the last handful of months and working on getting back to my previous state of writing (pre-AHIS). I’m going to be partaking in flufftober this year and hopefully that helps push me back into my previous level of writing to the point that I can get AHIS rewritten and rolling again!

I am glad everything is getting better for you! And I think chapter alternating is a nice idea, and I've seen others try that, or you can also do both perspectives. I jist think its nice to have different views from others in a single story line to give it a bit of life.

I don't mecessarily mind whatever because everyone has their own little comfort style when it comes to writing stories, so I'd say whatever is comfortable for you!

Hey guys! So, a lot has been going on since I last made an update. Things have been slowly getting better to the point that I’m starting to write again! Not for AHIS just yet, but it’s happening!  I’m currently in a pickle because as I read through the young chapters. I had initially started AHIS as a side project with no intent to post it until a close friend convinced me that I should so it was written chapter by chapter with no real plot or direction. I also realize that I keep so much detail hidden and know that I could do so much better for you guys!  I want to give you guys the best version of AHIS that I can and I think that would require more thought and a bit of a rework to how I write the chapters. I have several idea and I don’t know which would work the best. I plan on rewriting AHIS as a whole but I’m unsure if I should keep the chapters alternating between Cayde and Ayla’s perspectives. If each chapter should be written from Ayla’s perspective. Or find a way to balance each chapter from both perspectives. I would love to get all of your opinions for those still here. I hope to see some familiar faces again soon!

Ahhh jeeeeze im such a terrible Fanfic mom x.x I know that I've fallen off and that AHiS is probably dead in the water.  Our house sold, which was heartbreaking in and of itself, then we had to actually move up to some family while house searching. Literally on the drive up I got  a call that my mother had passed away. It was expected, but not that soon. I’ve been cleaning up the mess she made, both physically, financially, and emotionally. and to be honest, it’s completely drained me with all the realizations cleaning out her home has brought on.  I keep promising to bring AHiS back and in due time I will, but it might be a bit longer, i just have too much on my plate right now. I’m sorry guys, i love and appreciate all of you for the wonderful journey it’s been so far and hope to see you all in the future!

i recently started playing cyberpunk for the first time and i cant stop thinking about that cayde/ayla cyberpunk au you posted a while back! i keep imagining all the scenarios and stuff that could happen between them

._. I still need to replay that game again. I've currently been stuck on Red Dead Redemption 2 which has been preventing me from doing so lol But yes, they could get into so many shenanigans in that game. It just has too much potential xD

How did Ayla and Wraith reacted when they found out Savathun stole the Light?

If i can manage to continue aHiS I will definitely touch on this in more detail. (now that the group is all back together there will be a lot more of the trio interacting) But there was definitely a plethora of feelings; shock, anger, and betryal. It was a situation no one could have predicted. Ayla has a bit more...acceptance to her? While Wraith is more like Zavala in the way that he refuses to believe the Light would be given to Savathun and her brood like suggested.

Please don't be sorry. Honestly, the hardest part of all this is over. Now the new hardest part is waiting for the house to sell and hoping that we get a good offer that will guide us into the next chapter of our lives with some security in case things don't go as planned. No matter what happens we're keeping our heads up ^^

I've been doing some thinking the last few days.

A part of me wants to go through and rewrite aHiS with more seriousness than just a fanfic to sate my love for Cayde.

Would you guys be interested in me reworking the chapters and then continuing the story or just continuing with the free flow it currently has been following?

Is there anything else you guys would like? Maybe a side story that follows Wraith? Do you want requests with your own OC's and certain characters? Do you want reader requests?

I want to try and get my writing muse back at a slow pace so the requests would probably be on thw slower/later side after the decision for aHiS is made

Hey guys!

I’m not sure how many of y’all have stuck around, or still see any updates that i post. But here is a big one for you guys. It’s been a while since I’ve posted any thing regarding aHiS. The last 2 months have been stressful af.  Between just general burnout on writing, having to put my cat down, and now having to pack up what we thought was our own forever home (until retirement) and move across the country, things have been hammering down on my creativity and drive to actually get anything done. It’s been a huge struggle because a lot of my ability to write is connected to my mood. I don’t want aHiS to flounder but here in a few days our house goes on the market and we have to pack up the remainder of our things. Which includes my PC. I’m probably going to take my freetime and try to figure out what I want to do next with the story now that we have all the stuff from WQ and season of the risen (ima miss a huge chunk of next season q.q) So this is just a little update for y’all. My inbox is always open if you guys ever have questions, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to me ^^

Hi! The sad truth as that no, everything isn't okay. A lot has been going on behind the scenes that has caused a completely halt on aHiS. Actually, all writing in general. Between general life stressors and having lost my cat a month ago I've been riding the struggle train straight to writers block-ville. I don't want to say that I've lost inspiration for aHiS, or any writing in general, but a lot of my ability to write is on a huge standstill. Times are getting even tougher as my husband just got laid-off from work again due to "reduction of forces" and just general lack of work for the companies to keep their people paid sadly. We might have to sell the house and move which is a massive ouch to our hearts and completely turns us on our heads so its been a bit rough as of late x.x I'm sorry for kind of just poofing, but the last few months have been painful to say the least.

I did! I actually still am. Getting that grind in before Saturday. I have a day 1 raid team set up and ready to go at this point. Also I have to apologize for my absence the last few weeks. Between my birthday, Witch Queen, family issues and now and issue with my oldest furbaby, things have been a bit busy and hectic x.x
