Meanwhile, I'm still grinding away on these two. The Akai I'm only running sporadically, as there's no point in bringing it to work if I'm going to miss the Omiai appointment every day. But here's Ribotchi, one of the last adults I need. I may keep it paused until I get another Akai, so I can raise Mametchi and get Papparatchi. The ID L... *weepweep*. I'm on generation 63. Since I last posted, I've gotten Watawatachi and Nachuratchi. I've paused it for a week or two here and there when work gets bad, and had some long life spans for the same reason, but I've basically been running this since June '13. I want to finish the character roster without cheating. Help me, pink ID L. You're my only hope of running something else. Anything else. Please.

I did get a Tamagotchi 4U, and I love the little circuit boards out of it, but I felt like this was more important. I got this for $28 with free shipping, knowing it would haunt me for the rest of my life if I didn't. The seller had more (alas, I would have waited!), but they weren't as cheap, and now it looks like the price has gone way up. I've never run an "Electronic Pet." It's a bit better than I imagined, honestly. The clock runs fast, and it sleeps during the day. But if it evolves, I may end up really liking it. This creature is either a shark or an Orca, but its animation is killing me. There's also a porcupine, and several Digimon among some more regular and exotic pets. Mostly, I'm excited about hopping on Santaclautch hatches and being like WHAT ABOUT MY SANTA?! One of the songs that plays when you go for a walk or dance is "Jingle Bells," but I suspect that's an accident. No Christmas here otherwise.

The saga of the ID L continues because, after 14 months and 56 generations, I was going to pause it since I'd only gotten lucky and got Rolutchi one time. I need to get her five times in order to complete the character roster, and getting her is luck-based. So, of course, when I think to myself I'd pull out the batteries unless I got Momoirotchi, I got her. Then I figured I'd wait an hour and make sure my toddler was Paletchi before I put it away. And of course I GOT ROLUTCHI. Maybe I'm silly enough to run this for another six months hoping for her one more time. Anyway, since I have tomorrow off, I'm going to rock Nachuratchi.

Been awhile! I've still been running my Akai and ID L... I need to complete the character rosters, but I've been running both for so long... 6 months for the Akai, and over a year for the ID L. I did find a wave two Friends in a Toys 'R Us on Monday, so I may run that. But the saga of the ID L continues...

Yeah, there has to be some sort of apocalypse outside before those go off. Even when they do, there's still not going to be a tornado. So they, you know, just broadcast whale song for everyone's amusement.
What they do mean is that the weather is terrible enough that nobody will be at Kuma's, so that's a good time to go.

Bought myself a Mezamatch for my birthday. I love it. I've been in need of a new alarm clock for a year, so it serves a very practical purpose. A LOUD, ANNOYING practical purpose. Thus, it is the most useful alarm clock I've ever owned. It is honestly the worst-sounding thing to wake up to, but I need that very badly in the morning. Poop fills the screen when the alarm goes off, and hitting the snooze button flushes it and triggers your luck and love fortunes for the day. Neat feature. You can also look at those whenever you want. It saves dates and stuff, but I haven't triggered one of these yet. You don't actually care for the gotchi. I got this at the beginning of last week. He was a baby for a day, then toddler for a day, and teen for two. Then I left on a trip and missed Thursday-Saturday, but he was a toddler again on Sunday. Apparently, when he evolved this morning (this happens while I'm at work), he died instead. I have yet to see an adult, but it will be exciting when that happens!

It's the end of the fiscal year, which means I lose 3 weeks to work. No time for pets. I ran Kimiko until she stopped aging. Her animation still plays, the clock still runs, and I can scroll through her icons, but she doesn't empty her meters anymore, and refuses all interaction. She stopped aging at 6. Mothra turned into the Batora grub, who I never took a picture of. I tried perfect care to get Godzilla, but not having full meters out of the cocoon must've affected her. My ID L evolved into Guriguritchi, which means I've had even the rare guys twice save for Kikitchi. So... 9 times for Furutsupantchi, but only once for Rolutchi. ;_; The batteries died on my ID L, so I'm waiting until after crazy work to replace them.

Kimiko chronologically this week. She's really easy to take care of. Usually her meters stay full until her hunger meter shows, then her health (the heart) drops to one. To fill it, you give her food and drink (though she won't eat food until she's two or so) until she refuses, then button mash the broom icon until her health meter fills. This will fill happiness as well. There's a rock-paper-scissors game that fills happiness too, but it takes so many cleanings to fill her health bar that I almost never have to play it. It raises her IQ as well, though. IQ doesn't seem to matter, but with almost no hunger calls or any other attention necessary, it was something to do. Reading books also raises her IQ, but she rarely wants to, and can't before the age of two or so. She ran away twice, once during an 8-hour drive and again during my meetings today. Button mashing the megaphone for a long time brings her back. Today she had 0 IQ on return, though. I button-mashed rock-paper-scissors and got it back over 200 just now. Age... Not sure how it's calculated. It slowed down after the first day. She's 4.09 right now, and she's been running for... 10 days? Love the metal hair in the two pictures near the bottom.

Once you get this you have to share 6 random facts about yourself and then send this to your 10 favorite followers! (✿◠‿◠) Have a nice day!
Hey, I usually don't get these, so thanks. ^_^
1. I visited the ruin of an old canal lock near where my parents live this past week. It's like a Wizard place masked from most people - on a remote back road, the entrance hidden in the middle of a forest, then you have to walk through the forest for a long time to get there. And it's not terribly exciting once you do, but it was still awesome to find.
2. I own an EM pinball machine that works only intermittently.
3. Apparently I've listened to a combined total of over 9 days worth of audiobooks in my car this year.
4. From Eroica With Love is my favorite manga, and don't let the first volume fool you.
5. I was so excited when Pokemon Red and Blue first came out that I saved up dollar bills from chores and odd jobs for months in a Country Time lemonade bottle so I could buy a Game Boy Pocket, a link cable, and both copies of the game on the day it was released. The money smelled lemony, and I've never been so happy with a purchase since then.
6. I have hair that goes down past my knees, but it is not nearly as thick as I'd like.

Ugh, that Rachael Ray cookbook on that first flyer reminds me of all the d-bag moms that would use their kid's book vouchers from our summer reading program to buy their own books.
They were either taking books that their kids had earned, or were forging the logs to get the vouchers. Either way, it was shitty and we had to stop giving away free books to kids as a reward for reading because so many parents abused it.
Who remembers
Motherfucking Scholastic

And then the magical traveling circus of scholastic would randomly show up
at the motherfucking BOOK FAIR

More Kimiko. She lost her black shirt around mid-morning, then went bald when her age counter rolled over to one year. Looking forward to her growing more hair, and maybe a nose. Not sure how the age is calculated... I reset her sometime between 8:30-9:00pm last night, and she turned a year old between 11:30-12:00pm. So... 1 year=15 hours? That's a little weird. Same somewhat limited functions at 1 year old, but now she eats solid food. Still won't read books.

I reset her when I got home, because I was having trouble digging myself out of 8 hours of neglect from the car ride. She changes appearances pretty frequently. Very cool!

Week off means more pets and the end to my engrossing work project! I really should do an Umi, but I wanted to run that Mothra so bad! She's sporting a fresh vintage case. I'm gonna try perfect care/all snacks. Already let her hearts drop to two twice in the baby stage, though. Kimiko! This one's so weird! She seems to require low maintenance so far? Not sure where this is going. She's rolling around in a koala face this week. Got Debatchi on my Akai and Fuwaratchi/Majokko Fuwaratchi on my ID L. She's generation 50! Though technically only 20, since I let generation 30 die. ;_;

This generation, I had Cheritchi to Tomatchi. Funny enough, Cheritchi woke up, evolved, then went back to bed Thursday morning. :p I'll probably wind up with Memetchi again. Wasn't paying too close attention this week, too busy. I will start a v-pet next week, since I have it off. But which one? Nano Baby? MGA Mermaid? Pocket Love? Rikou Rikou Chan? Hmm.

Got Pichipitchi again, who may be my favorite character on here. LOVE her. Do think it's a little creepy/cannibalistic her favorite meal is fish eggs, though. Generation 50 was... another Choribotchi. Sigh. Annoyingly, she evolved into Kingyobotchi. I adore Kingyobotchi, but I've had her 3-4 times, compared to Rolutchi's one time.

I reeeeealy need to start another odd pet, or something that is not an ID L or an Akai. I may tomorrow. But in the meantime, I've been playing a bit of Tamagotchi GB 2. It's an Umino/Morino version. You run both at once. Adorably, the "rooms" for the pets are an aquarium and terrarium in Mikachu's house. In these pictures, you can see the cocoon stage for Morino is a character instead of a static cocoon. Also, I'm showing off the irritating scratch-off game that is the only way other than snacks to fill hearts. In this game, there's a grid of three rows of four columns each. Each row has one heart in a random spot, and the bottom row has a heart and a skull. The hearts add a heart to your happy meter, and the skull takes one away. You are allowed to scratch off one square per row in each game. This sounds easy, but each row only has a 25% chance to get a heart. This is not a 75% chance per game. I usually have to play 4-5 times to get a heart. Often, I will land on a heart and the skull, which zeroes the results. A few times, I've gotten only the skull, which means I'm playing 10 rounds of this EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY LOSE A HEART. My first pair, I fed only snacks to the Morino, and played only games with the Umino. I tried to get the Morino's weight up high, but he died when he hit 30g while a cocoon. Oops. Mysteriously, the Umino keeled over after all games-perfect care when it came time to evolve into an adult. It would seem these are as fickle as their eggy counterparts. I had forgotten that the GB tamas require arcane snack mix knowledge, though. I may do a guide for this. That it is meant for 5-year olds means I can understand everything almost perfectly. ^_^
