Started and finished Frieren, and it became so dear to me without even noticing. I started thinking it was kind of slow and then I was suddenly ten episodes in and emotionally attched. The depictions of relationships between characters from familiar, platonic, or romantic are just so beautifully done

I feel like no one talks about how similar the Love Trio is to the trio of Balam, Kalego, and Opera, just in a slightly different, pastel font. Before you’re like, ‘but Chizzah, Iruma and Kalego aren’t alike,’ I want to say that is false first of all. Second, take a look at Iruma in his evil cycle and tell me he isn’t a miniature Kalego, from the eye shape, purple coloring, and way they both present themselves.
