First test walk cycle for the Glynda Goodwitch model I rigged in Autodesk Maya. The legs kinda snap when they step forward and the eyes are dark because the "whites" of them are actually a cavity behind the iris and the shadows just build in there from the lighting. (Gotta figure that out some way) Overall, I'm satisfied with my first walk cycle in a while

Next stop, figuring out how to create a toon shader in Maya for celshading.

“the problem is its never gonna be what all the fans want” imo the problem is the majority of fans have bad fucking taste like. if you write a story with the intent to keep editing it in line with what fans want you’re gonna end up with a shitty story. obviously you can take in criticism from early access but once you publish the thing you shouldn’t constantly be retconning characterization wtf. good god

so really really early on when i was conceptualizing the fan game i was thinking of a stalker-like character who follows vic around who might or might not truly exist,

they only appeared in her reflections and photographs and can only be seen from a far distance

the idea behind them is that she was a victoria who escaped a time loop (caused by max), kinda lost it, killed jefferson, went to prison and somehow found a way to travel through timelines

i dont hate the idea but i think it's overly ambitious and extra, more psychological horror adjacent when i actually wanted a casual cozy experience

maybe i'll revisit it in a form of an art dump or something
