It's official: V is made of pure black coffee. Dark and bitter.
MC's got loooooooooong way from adding cream and sugar.
Honestly? This is one of the best metaphors for V, I’ve seen. It will take a while for the MC to add cream and sugar— to lighten V’s soul— but the effort is more than worth it once you get your prize.

MC x V
"Call me selfish."
“Call me selfish.”
Without looking up from their book, and with an almost bored drawl to their tone, they reply: “You’re selfish.”

For our beloved V (prolly in crushing stage) prompt:
“I can see the cracks in your mask, every time you say you don’t love me.”
“I can see the cracks in your mask every time you say you don’t love me.”
Your words cause them to pause; a look you couldn’t decipher briefly flitting across their face before it smooths over into cold stoicism. “You can believe you see anything you like to, Anon.” They step slightly forward, voice dropping to a low whisper. “But that doesn’t make it a reality. Don’t put things onto me because you’re one that fucked up.”

Charles: She’s going to get herself hurt…

William: I just know we’ll have so much fun together…
Ivy: Please don’t drop the vase…
Victor/Victoria: They’re more than I could have ever dreamed of…
August/Audrey: I can see us being good friends…

Any advice to a shy MC on seducing poaching Elizabeth?
Just be yourself. Elizabeth doesn’t need someone to impress her, she needs someone to love. If it’s meant to be? Then it’ll be.

Grabs a defibrillator and shocks the author back to life!
Hi!
Hello 😂
Sorry, I’ve been a bit busy with life and a few other things I’ve been working on, but I promise A Reformed Heart has been being worked on too! I just haven’t had time to come on here.
I hope you’ve been well! ❤️

Be careful, an IF blog got bombarded with "kys" anon asks because they had a romance with a step brother (that you aren't raised with). It was fucking rough on the author for a bit, people are opinionated cunts when they want to be and downright *mean*.
I believe I know that one! Regency of Hell, correct? It’s a very interesting story with a delightful cast of characters— the author also seems like a wonderful individual as well.
I don’t mind people not liking Elizabeth’s route, nor do I mind if they don’t wish to go down it, but that doesn’t mean I’ll change her or the story in order to suit their needs. Of course, I’ll try to be amendable to some things but not when it comes to the core facets of my story.
Thank you for the warning, dearest anon. I appreciate it a great deal and will definitely make sure to keep a look out for those types of ask.

My father’s fiancée - who I’ve met once and is closer to my age than his - is not on the same level as my stepdad who has raised me for 20 years. Like sure, anon is entitled to that opinion, but it sure is a very black and white way of thinking.
Now the idea of like, MC casually throwing shade at their father or insinuating they could do better really does amuse me. Hi dad, good to see you, on my way to steal your girl 😎
I don’t mind dissenting opinions, but that doesn’t mean I’ll agree with them. If Elizabeth had raised the MC? Well she’d be a lot older than she is in the story and she’d never even look at the MC in that way, because you would be like her child. She raised you… Which is the exact reason that’s not the case within A Reformed Heart.
You’ll find that Elizabeth is quite different beneath the surface of her doting wife exterior. Maybe you’ll be the one she steals?

i, for one, am excited to take Elizabeth away from our foul ass father. no man that old needs a wife the same age as their child. now that’s what’s disgusting.
Elizabeth is a couple years older than the MC— she’s in her early thirties— but you’re correct in thinking that she doesn’t wish to be married to your father. She thinks he’s a good man, because he is in certain regards, but he’s not someone that will make her endlessly happy.
Not that she’ll ever admit that until you get closer with her.

Eeeewww why can you romance your step mother if you are a woman MC? Why does the lesbian option have to be borderline incestuous? That's so wrong!
Tumblr media
I wouldn’t say that it is, but everyone, of course, has different opinions on what incest actually entails. I will say that Elizabeth never truly met the MC until well after the MC turned 18 and she’s only met you two/three times after the fact. She’s also quite a bit younger than the MCs father is. Elizabeth also isn’t related to the MC in any shape or form… just thought I’d mention that too.
Of course, if that’s not your cup of tea that’s completely fine too. There’s other routes you can go down or other stories that may have ROs more aligned with what you enjoy.

I have 2 questions! Can you describe each RO’s route in 3 words? Also, can you rate the routes from most to least angst? I’m sure V takes the cake, but I want to see who the runner up is 👀 Hope you have a good day!
Charles: Longing / Apprehension / Renewal || 9-10
Elizabeth: Discovery / Passion / Trust || 8-9 (maybe 10 in certain spots)
William: Passion / Fun / Warmth || 5
Ivy: Knowledge / Rediscovery / Secret || 7
Victor/Victoria: Hope / Longing / Memories || 10
August/Audrey: Fun / Laughter / Joy || 1 (can get to 8 though)

Damn V 😭 Will they ever forgive us?
Given enough time, yes. However, it won’t be easy to gain their trust back after you shattered it. They’ll be able to forgive you, in time, but that doesn’t mean they’ll ever forget.

Assumptions OC Ask Game
I thought of this a few days ago and thought it could be fun. There's probably one similar floating around somewhere, so I'm not trying to go 'nyehehe entirely my idea'.
What's an assumption you have about one of my OC's?
They have to answer and address it.

Can you imagine William though, if the MC DID remember the confession come morning?
William:
Tumblr media
Our man clowned himself.
William on the outside:
Tumblr media
William on the inside:
Tumblr media
He’d be somewhat embarrassed but he’d be secretly glad you remembered too. He wants to be with you and this just means he’s one step closer to doing so.

How would the ROs react to MC's drunk confession in very deep crushing stage? In V's case let's say MC in tears says that the worst thing they've ever done is leave V behind and would do anything to make things right, even though they probably don't deserve V after all that.
Charles: His calm expression falters for the briefest of moments; inner turmoil becoming like a raging storm as he tries to stem his reaction. “You’re drunk, Anon,” he murmurs, already taking you gently by the arm to lead you back to your room. “You don’t know what you’re saying.”
Elizabeth: An amused look flits across her face before her mask descends once more. “You don’t know who I truly am, darling.” She gently caresses your cheek before pulling away from you completely; needing to put distance between your bodies. “Let’s get you to bed, all right? I think you’ve had enough to drink tonight.”
William: “You like me, huh?” His eyebrows wiggle in an exaggerated gesture, but the gentle quality to his smile showcases how touched he was by the revelation. “I’ll tell you a secret too, okay? Since, I know you won’t remember this in the morning, I want to tell you that I like you too.”
Ivy: The next swallow of her drink gets lodged in her throat; a sharp cough escaping her because of it. The deep brown of her eyes, widened with shock, stare at your glazed expression. She wanted nothing more than to believe, but she couldn’t bring herself to do so. “It’s not polite to say such things, Anon.” She gently dabs at her lip for the remnants of her drink. “You’re drunk. There’s no need to lie to me about such things. Why don’t we get you to bed, okay?”
Victor/Victoria: A pained expression etched itself across their face at your revelation; the emerald green of their eyes darkening to a deep jade because of it. “You should have thought of that before you left me.” Their hand clenches in their lap as they try to keep their voice from shaking; they couldn’t let you get inside of their heart again. Wouldn’t be able to bear a second loss. “I always knew that I’d fight to stay by your side, but you couldn’t do the same for me. That’s something I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to forget.”
August/Audrey: A boisterous laugh escapes their lips at your confession. Warmth, with remnants of adoration, sparkles within their golden-brown gaze. “I think that’s enough ale for tonight, Anon.” They shake their head fondly as they stand; fully prepared to take you back to your room. “You know our rule: you can drink however much you want, but the moment you start spouting nonsense is when you’re cut off.”
