I frequently take notes on my walks if I come up with a story idea and put them in a central note document on my phone. Today I looked in it and I found this.

I have literally no idea what this means. I don't know what possessed me to write this. Anyway, all this is to say I'm still alive and working on a story, hopefully a lot longer and better than my previous.

found a rock in the kitchen and as I was about to throw it in the trash I thought "wait this is cruel I should let it outside" as if it was a living thing

I just discovered you can swipe the create button to make all the icons snake across the screen. I feel like a caveman who just discovered fire.

Anyway, I am working on a larger story, but due to the much more ambitious nature of it, it's going to be a little bit. Not least of all helped by the fact I'm moving soon. That being said, I'm super excited about it, and I reallllllyyy wish I could I could talk more about it, but I've learned my lesson on saying anything too early.

Security Concerns

Small, except not really small, quite big actually, cybersecurity PSA real quick. I debated whether to post anything or not, or whether I can/should post it here, but I decided that I have a responsibility to.

If you don't particularly feel like reading something negative right now, don't press read more. That being said, you're likely going to want to check this sometime. It'll only take a minute, literally.

As I'm sure you are aware, there has been a very large data breach (one of the largest ever, in-fact) that exposed approximately 16 billion passwords, usernames, and any other information that could've been on the compromised databases. Many of these are mostly harmless (assuming you don't reuse passwords), like some one-off profile for something like idk your McDonald's app. Others, however, could include very sensitive personal information, such as your name or address. It really comes down to luck whether or not you were affected by this.

Below is an example and guide showing me using a site called "Have I been Pwned." Despite the silly sounding name, it is a safe and reputable website that allows you to input your email so it can search any known data breaches for a match, that way you can be informed if any of your accounts associated with that email have been leaked.

In this example, I use my own personal email (hence the censoring). While I haven't experienced it myself, if a very sensitive service had a data breach, such as one where merely the knowledge of you using it is sensitive in itself, it might prompt you to verify that you are the account holder before revealing any more information.

If this can help even a single person, it'll have been worth it. Be sure to tell people you know, reblog this, or whatever works, just make sure you and yours stay safe! I have two Mipha related plot bunnies in my mind that I will likely never write but they are fun to think about:

Everyone Lives Except Link AU:

All the Champions survive, Zelda unlocks her powers and seals Ganon away, but Link dies in the battle protecting Zelda from Ganon. Mipha is too late to heal him and is devastated but Zelda suggests that he be put in the Shrine of Resurrection. The world does not need the hero anymore but the Champions can't bear his sacrifice. Years go by and the Champions live their lives until eventually Mipha is the last one alive. 100 years later, she visits the Shrine and notices that it's open and empty, but when she finds him on the plateau, he doesn't remember her or himself or anyone. Mipha and Link go on a journey around Hyrule to honour their friends and help Link regain his memories.

Mipha Survives Within Vah Ruta AU:

The Champions are attacked by the Blights and everything goes as it did in BotW except Mipha survived within Ruta by hiding in the water, avoiding the Blight, healing herself and sustaining on fish that wandered through small gaps in the Divine Beast. Worse for wear and stunted in the rest of her growth, Mipha survives 100 years until Link arrives to free Ruta. Mipha finally sees the sun and her family again after so long. (This is inspired by something King Dorephan says after you defeat Waterblight Ganon where he says some part of him hoped that she was still alive somehow)

I won't get around to writing anything involving these, but I needed to share my visions. Both are angsty in different ways but they end up with a happy ending. These are quite barebones, so if anyone feels inspired, don't feel like you need my permission to use these ideas. I would love to see other people's take on it.

I finally finished that part two! I had to take a break from writing it because I watched Interstellar for the first time and was changed.

Anyway! Here it is, if you really have low enough tastes.

As Link and Zelda arrive to Rito Village for an inspection of Vah Medoh, Link is taken on a trip to Tabantha Village by Revali. Along the way, Revali finally gets what he was looking for.
