I mean this 1000% positively (I absolutely ADORE your character, they're so cool)- your Applin-themed Pokémon OC feels like they would fit *perfectly* as a Hassel/Brassius fanchild! (If you're unfamiliar, they're characters from Scarlet and Violet that are at the very least close friends, if not romantic or qpr coded, I love them a lot.) The grass/dragon symbolism (which is already present in canon with a Flapple on Hassel's team!), the outfit, the green hair- I saw them and went 'this is a Real Character, look at this neat person!' and then went 'OMIGOSH THIS REMINDS ME OF SOME OF MY FAVORITE GUYS!' If that's unwanted and you don't like your awesome brainchild being compared to other characters, I fully understand and sincerely apologize! Like Nate, i imagine, is a little on the niave side, in ways that can make him come across as dumb/childish. Hes very sweet and optimistic to a fault. People dont assume much of him and he doesnt really have any strong complexes about that either. Hes very Normal, vibes wise. I think he keeps his thoughts to himself for the most part which adds to that Normal Boy vibe, people dont realize how much he actually thinks things through. But because he has to think everything through in his head before saying it aloud, most of those opinions go unheard by other people. He grew up following Hugh around like a little puppy, and thats still the dynamic the two have whenever theyre together really. Also hes a Mamas boy, his mom dotes on him a lot but is very happy to see him growing up and making his own decisions instead of just following the crowd(she was kinda worried hed be her and hughs lost little ducklett forever).

Rosa similarly is very optimistic and sometimes niave, but more so in that she doesnt think things through all the way. Shes willing to push and prod people into doing things her way, but shes very exciteable and charming so its hard to hate her. I think she too was pretty spoiled as a kid but its lead to her being very confident in herself.

Im replaying as Nate rn cuz i always pick the girl trainer usually and i thought id mix it up for funsies. So I only really got to see Rosa briefly at the battle trains. But just from my perspective on her when i was a kid and from other media that ive seen her in, i imagine her as the more friendly and outspoken of the two. She probably would call Bianca and Cheren up just cuz she has their numbers and wants to chat or ask for the numbers of other important characters she runs into. Shes not as hesitant about boundries and shes willing to make small talk. And while I dont think Nate is shy by any means, i imagine hes a little more introverted than her and only uses his xtransiever to call Hugh or his mom, maybe he'll call Bianca, but he wont call Cheren or the prof out of no where cuz like?? What would he talk about with them??? What if theyre busy????

Replaying white2 for the first time in a decade and i was talking to this clown outside of pokestar studios and hes talking about how they sell portraits of stars and then stops and goes "huh? No we dont have any of [player name]" like ajxjsh did the player ASK him?? I think thats the cutest implied interactions ive seen yet.

Reshiram fits N better aesthetically but narratively i think he should have Zekrom actually. Therefore you should go with Hilbert, plus then the ferris wheel ride becomes kinda gay and thats always fun. HOWEVER i also think the main trio of Bianca, Cheren, and the player works better with Hilda. Cuz for one it doesnt turn the only girl of the group into the weak one who has to learn her place compared to the strong boys. But also i just think Hilda's pink looks nicer between them. So actually-

Had an idea for a Pokemon Legends ZA character I couldnt stop thinking about while trying to sleep last night

Basically they're an engineer/inventor type with their own little house you can go into. On a table and tacked to the walls are diagrams for all sorts of strange contraptions. There are wooden wheels and handle like pieces strewn about as well. You talk to this person and they tell you about their time in a nearby region and how over there they use a pokemon to get around and how its inspired their newest invention.

They're just so busy working on different prototypes for their invention that they ask you the player to run a couple errands for them. Idk what sort of errands but I imagine there's like three of em. After each you go speak to them to get the next one and they thank you and update you on the topsy turvy production process, they're a bit scatterbrained. They mention they keep getting distracted by side projects. After theyre done talking you can interact with them again and they'll just repeat these three comments like they're talking to themself:

"maybe more than two wheels would help with the balance...?"

"Should I calculate footsize into the shape of this part?"

"Some sort of braking mechanism might be important..."

Anyways I like the idea that the player is set up into thinking they're gonna get a bike only for the Character to say theres still some work needed on that invention actually but to thank you for helping here's the protoype for a Different invention they made while distracted that they want you to have/test out for them.
