Hi, I'm Arielle! I'm a designer with an obsession with an obsession with British Dramas, witty comedians, and 90s nostalgia. I’m an avid reader, my childhood book collections being some of my most cherished possessions. I'm usually reading several books at a time and looking for new books to fill the empty spaces in my bookcase. I start every day with a cup of black coffee and a podcast (cause I'm hardcore like that). I believe life should be constantly full of new experience, whether through traveling or curling up with a good book.

For Untitled (Portrait of Ross in L.A.), Felix Gonzalez-Torres specified 175 pounds of candy, corresponding to the ideal body weight of his longtime partner who died of AIDS-related complications that same year. He could have chosen 175 lbs of a lot of things, but he chose candy, which he invites the audience to take and eat. The candy is a stand-in for Ross’s body, which was gradually depleted by a devastating illness. (via @theartassignment)

While the authority of the doctor or plumber is never questioned, everyone deems himself a good judge and an adequate arbiter of what a work of art should be and how it should be done.
