Hwaiting - Prologue

Korea,Seoul,BigBang`s changing room

The silence in the room while the members were getting out of their practicing clothing and into their normal clothes was suddenly interrupted by the muffled ringing of a phone. Daesung, currently pulling his shirt over his head, looked at the smaller man next him who was vacantly staring at one of the posters on the wall “Jiyong, that´s yours”, he reminded him. “Err...yeah, sure”, even said man quickly blinked and started to search through his stuff for his jeans where he had put his phone. “He looked as if he saw a naked woman”, Seungri grinned from the other side of the room. “Well, there actually is a naked women on the poster, if you haven´t noticed in the past few years, but...”, Seunghyun said but got interrupted by Youngbae; “As if he wouldn´t know that” “Shhh!”, Jiyong had found his phone, looking onto the display; “It´s the CEO”  “Maybe Seungri got too many solo parts again”, Youngbae whispered, earning a muffled laugh from the others, except for their youngest member, who hit him with the next thing he could grab; in this case a shoe. The others just laughed even more but were shushed by their leader who was rolling his eyes and trying to stay serious, now accepting the phone call. “Annyeong? …Yes, we just had a dance practice, everything went pretty well...Uhm, no, actually not...Tomorrow already? For how long? ...Alright, thanks for letting me know...Ok, bye” Frowning he stuffed his phone into his pocket again. “Did anyone of you know about the new dancers?” “New dancers?”, the others echoed. “Yeah, seems like a group of five dancers from Germany will be here tomorrow and replace our current ones” “Tomorrow already? And why from Germany?”, Daesung asked, buckling his belt and sitting down on one of the couches. “Something like an exchange of background dancers between YG Entertainment and some universities and other institutes to get a littlebit more international and stuff. We should´ve known that before but somehow everybody forgot to tell us”, slightly annoyed he shrugged and sat down next to the other members on the couch. “Do Germans look good?”, was Seungri´s first question while typing something on his phone. “I don´t know...Seriously?!”, Jiyong, leaning over and looking at what he just searched on google, sighed; “I´m more worried about how they are supposed to learn all the choreography we already have till now...But Germans are said to be ambitious, right? Hopefully they won´t affect the upcoming concerts in any bad ways” “I don´t think so”, Daesung just said, shaking his head. After talking a bit about the news, Youngbae´s phone ringed. “Gotta go, see you tomorrow morning!” After a while the other members also went home, each one with different thoughts about the new dancers...

Germany,Neumarkt i.d.Opf.

“Girls, I don´t understand a word, plus Skype´s a bitch again”, trying to fix the group chat she currently was in with the four other girls on Skype, Katja laughed at the awkwardly frozen videos of the others. “My computer nearly crashed a few minutes earlier, too”, Katha sighted “I gave up on having the videos on, I just turned them off, works better.”, Yana´s voice sounded muffled, she most likely got lost in the chaos of her closet. “ANNA, I found your socks! The pink ones, I mean. They were in the back of my closet!” “You did? Finally!”, suddenly Anna´s voice also was on her best friend´s end of the chat. “You seriously are both skyping even though you´re living in the same flat? Baka...”, Katja had to grin and finally the videos were working again. Yana was trying to throw the socks at Anna now but failed and not even hit her once, Katha was looking through her traveling documents again and checked if everything was there and Hanna held two pairs of pants in her hands, comparing them. “Shit!”, she suddenly frowned. “What is it?”, was immediately asked four times. “I forgot the Korean word for ´Pants”! Again! This can´t be true!”, she ruffled through her hair. “If you want one of the boys to take off his pants just do it by yourself without asking”, Yana suggested grinning while shoving Anna together with the pair of socks out of her room. “Wasn´t it ´baji´?”, Katja asked snickering. “Right, it was...Why do I keep forgetting this word? It can´t be that hard, can it?” “Don´t worry, your Korean is damn good! I mean, you´ve been learning the language for some years now, compared to us...Katja and Katha are also really good in understanding and speaking because of all these years as kPop-fans, but look at me or Anna. I started learning about two months ago, I just hope, I´ll manage to talk in a mixture between Japanese, English and Korean. And Anna...most likely started to learn some phrases just yesterday”, Yana calmed her down, putting her washbag into her suitcase and tried to close it while sitting down on top of it to condense the content. “Hey!”, Anna shouted but was interrupted by Katha; “We should talk about this at the airport. Our plane leaves in about four hours, so you should keep an eye on the clock to catch a train to Munich early enough” “Only four hours? Oh my gosh!” “We should end the chat and get ready then” “Yeah, we definitely should”, Katja nodded, looking through the leftover pieces of clothing in her dresser. “Wait, wait, wait! Do I see a red dress there?”, Katha asked, staring closely at the screen of her computer. “Uhm...yeah...but I´m not sure...” “Take it with you! Take it with you!”, suddenly also Hanna demanded. “If you say so...”, Katja mumbled and put the red leather dress into her hand luggage as she was too lazy to open her suitcase that had been completely packed for a whole week already. “However, I really need to go now, my train leaves in half an hour and I have to say goodbye to my family and stuff. Where are we gonna meet at the airport?” “I´d say, at the gate”, Yana suggested and the others nodded. “See you then!” “Gosh, I´m so excited...” “Same here” “Annyeong!” Several good-byes were said, then Katja quit the chat, switched off her laptop and put it into her backpack.

Germany,Munich,Airport Gate C

Silently Hanna, Katha and Katja, who had already met by coincidence at the check-in, approached Anna and Yana, sitting with their backs to them and watching the planes take off and land in front of the big window, and quickly grabbed their shoulders. Letting out a shocked cry, the red-haired girl cringed heavily while her purple haired friend just laughed at all the people turning around to Yana´s loud cry. “You...you can´t just scare me like that!”, even said person complained but couldn´t help but laugh along with the others as the big hugging and greeting started. Finally, they sat down, nervously staring out of the window for a while and checking their social media. After a few minutes, everybody started to talk again at once, causing the five to laugh. “This is slowly gettin´ so real...” “Yeah...I really wonder how everything´s gonna be there...The people, the food and stuff, the language barrier, the dancing and especially BigBang...” “What if they´ll hate us or something?!” Once they had started to talk, they didn´t stop for the next hour, till the boarding of their flight was announced. “Whoop whoop, time for business class”, Anna grinned, waving around in the air with her ticket and got up to lead the others to the desk. Once they all were on the plane, time just seemed to fly away. They spent the first hour with battling each other through the on-board games, then the dinner was served but the excitement was just too big so they just barely ate anything and stuffed all the packaged food into their hand luggage. Then they tried to revise and learn a bit Korean and somehow ended up watching movies in Korean for a few hours. At some point Katja had fallen asleep, so the others tried to follow her example but they weren´t successful, so they listened to some kPop and eventually danced to Dope, Fantastic Baby and some other songs on the small space between the seats until a stewardess noticed it and asked them to sit down again. Silently laughing they did and even slept for a few hours. When they woke up one after one after some time, they decided it was time to eat something and ate the things they had put aside during dinner but as they were still hungry after that, they snuck some rolls from the nearby kitchen and had some sort of very late midnight snack. After that everyone spent the last few hours different until the breakfast was served and an announcement told them they would be landing soon which got them so excited that they nearly started to scream through the whole plane. They had been staring out of the windows for a few minutes when the plane´s wheels touched the ground which earned a cheer from the five girls. “We´re in Koreaaa!” Smiling like idiots they got off the plane and succeeded the process of arriving at the airport, staring wide-eyed at all the Korean writing and advertisement, listing fascinated to all the Korean that was suddenly spoken everywhere around them. They were picked up by a driver and driven to the hotel where they would stay for the first few days. In one hour they quickly showered, got into some nicer clothing and put on some make-up as they would soon meet Big Bang for the first time. It originally was planned that they would´ve met the CEO first but he was busy, so they would spend the afternoon with Big Bang and go back to their hotel early because of the jetlag. Being so excited and tired at the same time was a deadly mixture as they noticed when talking about completely weird stuff on their way to the YG headquarters. Trying to calm down and get serious again, they walked up the stairs to the floor on which amongst others Big Bang´s and their dancers´ group rooms and dancing studios were. Luckily Hanna and Katha had translated everything since they got here as the others were just too stunned and excited about every single thing, the only Korean word they were able to say at the moment was ´Annyeong´. And then, they stood in front of the door which simply said ´Big Bang´.

Lost in the woods - JHope

‘‘AAAAAAHHHH‘‘, a scream echoed through the still peacefully sleeping forest. The few small animals that happened to be awake and near the origin of the fearful scream, quickly disappeared into the woods.

A day earlier:

It all happened somewhere during the hot korean summer. The whole bangtan family consisting of the seven boys and their girlfriends decided to go camping for a few days the boys got off. Even though there were a few protesters like Yana, Hobi and Katja, who hated camping for life, sadly they had been outvoted and grinding their teeth tagged along as well. They all made a decision to drive to a small, beautiful spot near Busan, recommended by Jimin, with a lake and a green meadow, everything surrounded by deep forest. On the drive Jimin warned them to be careful and not to go too far away from the camping spot as it was really easy to get lost in the woods. Once the whole crew arrived, the boys except Namjoon started to build up the tents, it was decided that the pairs would sleep in one tent each and the rest of the guys would share one tent as well, the girls except Katja started unpacking their belongings and change into their bathing clothes. Meanwhile Namjoon and Katja, who both had a horrible sense of orientation, went around the edge of the forest to collect firewood and to have a few moments of privacy. Soon the first cries of horror started to rise. Seeing a huge black spider Yana started to scream, hid inside the car and only came out again, when Jungkook killed it, sighning dramaticly. A short while later a bug started to crawl onto Hobis‘ foot. Disgusted he shook his whole body and locking eyes with Yana they agreed silently that these days will truly be terrible for them. Finally the tents were standing, the firewood was on its right place and the air beds for the lake were ready as well. Hanna and Taehyung were the first to run into the cool water and soon started a splash fight, Katha joined them excited, pulling poor Suga with her. As soon as the redhead and her significant other noticed the waterfight they joined as well laughing and teasing each other, the unpleasant insects already forgotten. Smirking Jungkook and Jimin joined as well. Jin felt too old and responsible for all this and sighing started to prepare food knowing how hungry everyone would be after all this. Namjoon and Katja watched them play, smirking, sitting on camping chairs and enjoining the sun. And just like that the afternoon flew by and it was time to eat. Making themselves comfortable around the campfire they ate, giving Jin compliments, mocking the pair that didn’t participate in their splashfight and just enjoying their free time. From time to time Yana, sitting in the lap of Hobi, was knowingly looking at Jungkook. His face and eyes became sad when nobody was watching. Yana knew he was remembering the evenings he spent with her best friend, and how much it hurted when the girl he loved so much left him. It was hard for her as well as she couldn’t bring Anna along anymore when she visited the boys because Kookie would throw a fit. Being deep in her thoughts, the girl became quiet. Hoseok who wasn’t used to her, who normally was quirky and lively, being so still, followed her gaze to the maknae and he understood, just as he always did. Tightening his hug he gently kissed her head. Surprised she looked up and got stuck in his brown, loving eyes. Everytime they looked at each other for real, it always felt like the world around them stopped to exist and they were alone. Now as well the chatting of their friends slowly faded. She smiled sadly ‚‘‘ I’m worried, you know. And what if he never gets over it?-‘‘ Her worries were cut of by Hoseok’s lips on her own. When they parted he said, lightly panting, ‚‘‘He will. Trust me. One day he’ll find his precious one and will use this heartache as a lesson.‘‘ Their talk got interrupted by Katja saying something like going to the toilet and and being followed by a smirking Namjoon saying something like ‚‘‘ Can’t leave ‘em ladies alone‘‘ into the nearby woods. ‘‘Seriously guys? You really can’t hold it, can you?‘‘-‘‘Take a room you two‘‘-‘‘Eeew‘‘-‘‘Can’t you go any further? Really don’t wanna hear you two!‘‘-‘‘I think she can go to the toilet by herself‘‘ Yana watched Hanna’s and Katha’s faces change when they realised what those two will be doing in the dark. Laughing she leaned back and whispered ‚‘‘Maybe we could do something like this today as well. Just not in the forest, it‘s kind of gross there.‘‘ Grinning Hobi agreed with a nod of his head. After a while the pair returned, with red faces and hair full with small branches and leaves, satisfied and slightly embarassed. The boys had just opened their mouths to tease these two, but shut them really quickly as they saw Namjoon’s face saying something like ‘‘You say something and practice will be hell for  you for the next months‘‘ Eventually it became past midnight and everyone decided they should call it a night and go to sleep. Almost immediately you could hear the snores coming from the all boys tent. In the couple tents however the mood was far from sleeping. Of course everyone tried to be as quiet as possible to not wake the others but every now and then low grunts and surpressed moans were heard. Luckily the tents were not exactly next to each other but more made in a circle around the fireplace and everyone was busy with themselves so they didn’t hear anything from their neighbours tent. Eventhough Yana loved to sleep and usually hated to stand up early when she felt warm lips on her shoulder she didn’t care that the sun hadn‘t risen yet. ‘‘Jagiyaaa, let‘s go see the sunrise, pleeaase. Before we went here I googled the region and found out that there’s a magical stream with a special tree growing not too far away. It is said that the tree shines at sunrise as if it was on fire and eventhough I hate bugs I really want to see it. Pleaaaseee.‘‘ Seeing the cute pout Yana just coudn’t resist and sighned. ‘‘Alright where is it. I’m only going if you have a map or something. Remember what Jimin said about getting lost here?‘‘ Reassuring the girl Hobie proudly showed a plain old paper map. Packing everything important like insect spray, food, drinks and a blanket they wrote a small note about their trip and pinned it to the tent walls. After that the two wandered off into the deep forest. For the first half of an hour it went quite well with the map. Confidently they made their way through the woods, chatting and laughing all the time. However when the map showed that they supposedly arrived Yana and Hobi suddenly realized that they were hiking with the map turned to the wrong side the whole time. Slowly starting to panic they looked around them. As they only concentrated on the map or on each other, they wandered somewhere really dark and creepy. It was almost too quite and the trees grew pretty close together so the first sunlight barely made it to the ground. They both had the feeling as if they were in a different world. ‘‘We can just walk back, right? Just the same way we came here, deshou? I really don’t like this part of the forest‘‘, Yana said nervously and shivered. Hoseok looking just as scared as her just shrugged not knowing what to do or to say as well.

Meanwhile everyone else slowly woke up. The first to move were Jin Jimin and Jungkook. They crawled out of their tent, yawning and stretching and then silently agreeing to go jogging and do exercises like push-ups or sit-ups. They didn’t notice the small note on the wall of one tent. Later on the rest had finally awoken and crawled out of their tent as well. Only the tent of Yana and Hoseok was still closed. Smiling the rest decided to let them be and give them enough time to recover from the night before. However when it hit 12 o’clock and the couple still was still inside, Katja decided to wake them up. Standing infront of the tent the girl shouted ‚‘‘ Heeey wake up guys, like I really get that you love to sleep and stuff and you’re probably still tired but it’s really time to stand up now.If you don’t answer me I‘ll just barge in,‘‘ As the answer didn’t came, Katja opened the tent and looked inside. ‘‘GUYS, THEY’RE NOT HERE!‘‘, getting worried Katja told the others. Confused they all gathered together infront of the entrance. ‘‘Weird where are they?‘‘-‘‘Perhaps they went on a walk?‘‘-‘‘But shouldn’t they be back by now?‘‘-‘‘Fuck, they didn’t go into the woods, did they?‘‘-‘‘Yana wouldn’t stand up that early. Hobi must be really good in persuading people?‘‘ everyone randomly said what they had been thinking. Suddenly Katha noticed the small post-in that was on one of the walls of the tent. ‘‘Look, they left a note. It says: Hey guys. Don’t worry about us. We went hiking into the forest to find a special spot Hobi was talking about. We have a map with us so we won’t get lost. If we won’t be back by noon check my phone I took a photo of the destination on the map. See you guys J‘‘ A visible sign of relief was seen on each face. Not worries left the group prepared breakfast and went swimming afterwards.

Yana and J-Hope however didn’t have such a good time as the others. Stomping through the thick undergrowth they desperately tried to remember where the camp was. After two hours of hiking they sat down on a tree trunk, completely exhausted and soaked in sweat, and had to admit to themselves that they got totally lost. Pulling out the food and drinks both of them tried to surpress the miserable situation in which they currently were. The problem was that the forest looked almost the same everywhere. And without a map or any skills of orientation it was almost impossible to get out of the woods. Thinking hard, the girl tried to remember anything she had ever heard or read about what to do in this kind of a situation. Sadly she couldn’t really think clear as adrenaline and fear clouded her mind. ‘‘Listen. I’m so sorry for all of this. I honestly didn’t think we could get lost. I mean I had a map and all…I was prepared. At least that’s what I thought.‘‘ –‘‘Aishh, really…it’s alright..kind of… we will find out of here.. I hope…at least we are not alone and still have food and water. It could have been worse.‘‘ reassuringly Yana hugged the boy tightly ‘‘You’re right. I have you. It’s gonna be alright. Saranghae Jagi‘‘ and with that they kissed. A few hours later, it was probably around 10 o’clock in the morning, they were just crossing a small stream Hobi suddenly felt something clasping around his ankle. Only looking shortly down shortly, not entirely sure what it was he screamed ‚‘‘ AAAAAAHHHH HELP ME JAGI SOMETHING CAUGHT ME UAAH!!!‘‘ Completely caught off guard Yana jumped and turned back to him, shocked. Hobi was agressively trying to shake off the mysterious something.Yana wanted to rescue him, but watched closely and suddenly burst into laughter. The traumatized boy looked at her in disbelief ‚‘‘How can you laugh? I’m serious. Help me!!‘‘-‘‘Honey look down and tell me exactly what is clasped around your ankle. Then you’ll get me.‘‘ His gaze fell down and trying to stay cool Hobi realized that it was just a really thick root in the form of a loop. Appareantly Hoseok, who in general gets scared really easily, hooked his food into it by mistake and as the root was wet he probably mistook it for something else. With a more hopeful and amused feeling they continued to wander around, only stopping to eat and drink a little bit. Even though Hobi was scared as hell, he still tried his best in lighting up their mood by telling Yana fun stories about the boys or his childhood or making incredible bad jokes. But all this teasing and talking only delayed the result, exhaustion and despair. Finally, somewhere around 4 o’clock in the afternoon they once again sat on the ground exhausted, tired and on the edge of crying. They would have probably sat there for a longer period if they hadn’t heard a shout. ‘‘YAAAANAAAAA HOBIIII WHERE ARE YOU????‘‘ Recognizing the voice as Jimin’s they couldn’t believe how freaking lucky they were, jumped up and started to scream where they were. It turned out that they were only half an hour away from the camp. When they weren’t home by noon, Katja started to worry first, exactly knowing her friend’s orientation sense because she had the same one. They remembered the note Yana left and unlocking her phone they realised they  had to charge it first, which took around 15 minutes and made the Hanna and Katja impatiently grown at Jungkook and Jimin to do something. After they finally were able to look at the photos of the map Yana made, they quickly noted that the couple could have done two things wrong. They either turned the map the wrong way or they were just too stupid to read maps and got lost in the process. Two searching parties were made, Jungkook and Jimin on one and Taehyung, Suga, Hanna and Katha on the other one. Jin stayed to prepare food as always and Namjoon and Kate were just useless, eventhough both were burning with desire to find Yana and Hobi as they felt responsible that it turned out that way. The lost couple finally returned home and immediately, just stopping to hug and thank everyone, returned to their tent and fell asleep as soon as their heads touched the pillow. Chuckling the rest, content with themselves that they had found them and everything turned out so good, continued to enjoy the rest of the day.

It was evening, when sleepy Hoseok, woken up by the voices around the campfire, crawled out of the tent and told them his and Yana’s story. In the end he showed them the map and told them about the special spot. Somehow everyone got excited and wanted to visit it, so they decided to go as a group with professional GPS-devices and enough rations. In the early morning everyone woke up and hiked to the destined spot. And this spot was definitely worth it. Just as Hobi had described there was a stream and behind it was a meadow surrounded by dark green forest and small lilac flowers, which sparkled in the early morning light. In the middle was a huge old tree with all kinds of green coloured leaves and beautiful red sprouts, eventhough it was already summer. When the sun started to rise the shadow and the light played together and created a black tree with shining red dots on it. Everyone, caught by the beauty, exhaled deeply. A few pulled out their phones and tried to capture it. However sadly it didn’t look as amazing on the photos as in reallife. After the show was over everybody went in comfortable silence back to the camp, where they spend the next few hours relaxing and then packing their belongings and driving home, still bashed by the spot’s uniqueness.‘‘In the end it was worth it. It was definitely worth it‘‘, full of enthusiam Hobi told his girlfriend. She agreed laughing, laying her head on his shoulders and smiling stared out of the window at the nature of Korea.
