So today I watched this interview with the Star Trek: The Next Generation cast and they demonstrate the phenomenon "space ship acting"

top five worst endings for buddie

1. somehow eddie leaves for el paso and literally never comes back. abby style.

2. buck and tommy link up again and get married and eddie is the best man

3. one of them dies permanently

4. eddie's endgame is a woman who is posed as the perfect mother for chris and the perfect wife for eddie and she's Just So Good that she fixes him and he's normal about his relationships

5. nothing ever comes to a head and the show ends with them having girlfriends or single it honestly wouldn't make a difference

honorable mention: there's a liminal space somewhere where eddie comes out as gay and his endgame is another man and buddie is never addressed at all. actual comedic horror.
