Chuffed to have walked around Lake Burley Griffin to raise money to support people with MS like myself today. Please consider donating if you have the means via my link: MS Walk - Joanne Fernandez We won the team with the second-most fundraised in Canberra and best-dressed. Proud of my disabled self! A few weeks ago, I made it walking up (and more challengingly, down) the stairs with my cane to the viewing platform to see the magnificent Chocolate Hills in Bohol, the Philippines. They are less chocolatey here, because it was pretty rainy. Just had to take my time and take breaks between to let others go past, but got there in the end. It was well worth the effort.

About ten years ago when I was bit more mobile, I visited the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, in Berlin. A lot of travel has its heavy moments, and can be draining. However, it makes me realise how lucky I am to be able to see these places.

Iffy on accessibility: the view from the back of Iceland's Skógafoss. Be careful of the wet pathway.

Living with disability and crawling to the weekend. Surprisingly, not Gollum. This figure of a child-like figure crouching is a 1938 statue David, by Giacomo Manzù.

I feel awkward posting this because of Disney's treatment of people with allergies in last year's court case of trying to stop a wrongful death suit because of a Disney+ trial.
I am also heartbroken for the people in LA regarding the wildfires.
But anyway, here's a blog about my time at Disneyland with accessibility tips!

Hey friends, I'm working on a project on how to make dental offices/visits more accessible to disabled people.
In your experience, what is something that is lacking in these spaces? What can be improved upon? Because I feel there are some glaringly obvious accessibility issues that need to be highlighted, but I'm sure I'm missing some by just thinking about my own experiences.
Thank you!

Shout out to that time I thought the Haunted Mansion ride in Disneyland was going to have a drop in it so I had a panic attack. It did not have a drop haha.

An excuse to show off my car, but also look at this nifty 'getting into the car' tool I got. Sushi helps if you drive into the ocean accidentally and need to break a windows
