The Sleighton Farm School is an abandoned reformatory school for delinquent girls aged 12 to 18 in Pennsylvania. We prepared 50 Abandoned Photos of the Old Sleighton Farm School.

The Sleighton Farm School was opened in 1826 as a house of refugees in Philadelphia and then broke off into a boys and girls school and moved to glen mills and was built in 1908. The school was founded in 1911 and was known as the “Glen Mills School Girls Department” but then in 1931 became separate and became Sleighton Farm School.

We prepared 100 Photos of the Joliet Iron Works Historic Site. The Joliet Iron and Steel Works Mill was an abandoned steel mill that has been preserved as a historic site by the Forest Preserve District of Will County, Illinois.

The beautiful neo-Gothic prison compound of Joliet Correctional Center stands abandoned and decaying after operating for nearly a century and a half.

Surrounded by 25-foot-high limestone walls topped with razor wire, Joliet Correctional Center covers 20 acres of land. The once self-sustaining compound consists of 24 buildings, including guard towers, cell blocks, administration buildings, light industrial facilities, a hospital, laundry, cafeteria, chapel and gymnasium. After years of neglect and vandalism, many of the structures are severly deteriorated.
