Hot take but if I’m your friend I’d be offended if you didn’t think you could ask me to pick you up from the airport or help you move. Like if you don’t ask me because you are aware I have prior plans that’s fine but if it’s because “I don’t wanna bother you” I will be whole heartedly offended.

Bother me, ask me for favours, call me in a case of an emergency. I want to make sure you are cared for whether I do that myself or help you find someone who can. You are my community - let me be a part of yours

So I went to therapy today - 10/10 would recommend- and during my session my therapist stopped me and said “You are so funny - that just made my day. I am going to be thinking about that phrase over and over again today” and my brain literally blue screened, take a microscope to my brain and you would have seen a 404 error code.

The conversation that had been happening - I was explaining how I use chat gpt to help me understand my assignments by putting the prompt/instructions into it and saying explain this to me like I’m a stupid person and how I rationalized needing this help was “I don’t understand this BITCH” I referred to my assignment as a bitch that I couldn’t understand and it made my therapist laugh and tell me that I am so funny.

And honestly I don’t remember the last time I have been told that I’m funny and the amount of joy that one statement filled me with is unmatched.

So when your friend says something funny or makes you laugh tell them that they are funny

(Just don’t be like that bitch in high school who gave me a part in drama class and told me it was because “When I actually try to I can be funny” - don’t backhand compliment people)

Good news everyone I have accidentally discovered the stupidest fucking conceivable way to make myself to do chores

My car: *low gas light on*

Me: I mean, I COULD stop at the gas station on the way home… OR! I could just NOT do that and deal with it tomorrow

Me: but what if I get stuck in a time loop starting tomorrow and every day I wake up and my car is on empty that would be so annoying

Me: uggghhh FINE I will stop at the gas station.

****LATER THIS EVENING:****

My sink: *has all my bowls and tea mugs in it*

Me: okay I don't actually care about this problem for tonight I am not planning on eating soup or tea

Me: …yeah but if i do end up being stuck in a time loop starting tomorrow it is going to SUCK to have only dirty tea cups in the morning forever

Me: uuuuughhhh okay clean sink it is

I hate this. My brain must have an extremely low opinion of me to even try it, and it worked.

Boycotting (unless stated otherwise) hurts strikes. The message you're sending to corporations when you boycott isn't "support your workers or I'll stop giving you money" the message you're sending is "I don't care about your workers."

When it comes to the current strike with WGA, you can absolutely watch whatever you like. You can watch the Barbie movie, Good Omens, Oppenheimer, the PJO remake, the FNAF movie, the One Piece movie, or whatever else.

The movies and shows you want to boycott aren't out yet. If the strike continues for long enough, Hollywood could be desperate and make a movie only using AI and that's the movie you'll want to boycott.

If you don't have an alternate to piracy, that's fine, piracy is for cool kids (and if you want to know some piracy tips r/piracy is a good place to look and you can feel free to DM me because I'm more than happy to share the sites I use). But if you want to support the strike do not boycott.

I feel like an important addition to this story is that he is 22 not 29 take that as you will.

The group of kids also reused to believe that I was 19 and still a teenager

I work with kids and it’s pretty common for them to try and guess your age. They were doing this for the coworker I was working with and they were all saying “40” “100” - you know the usual. And one kid just pipes up “No guys he looks YOUNG - He’s totally 29”. So if you ever feel old just remember that this 7 year old thinks that 29 is young
