"For tonight I want us to forget the darkness. I want us to forget the war. Just for together," he whispered, smiling. "I know I have not been the easiest man to love. I know I push away. Anyone else would've gone. I don't know why you have stayed. But I am grateful.

Remus blinked. Everything seemed so hazy at first. But with the speed of a snail crawling across a dining table the world seemed to focus. He found himself lying on an oversized couch, covered with a luxurious blanket. Every part of him hurt. Little cuts burned. Memory felt quite foggy. And there was someone sitting across from him that he didn't quite recognize. All he knew for certain was it had been the full moon last night. It must not have treated him well. "Yes?" he asked, looking around and surveying the place. He didn't recognize this place. "What happened? Everything is foggy."
