Valid take, but also we should just acknowledge that innocent citizens dying is also good enough to be opposed to what is ultimately a genocide. If you know what’s going on out there and you know there are women, children, and innocent fucking people dying. They’re not just bombing one small group of people, it’s regular citizens too. That’s enough to be in support of ceasefire.

Obviously be educated as well, but this is also important.

Absolutely obsessed with how many TUA rewrites are happening right now. Some even have full teams working on them, including promotional artists. Everything from Ao3 fan fiction, to screen plays, to comics.

What is Umistage? It came to my attention there's still a lot of people who don't know about Umistage so I did my best and did a short powerpoint!

Can we talk about how there’s young adult media, and then there’s actual adult media.

Like for example, danganronpa isn’t for children. I enjoyed it when I was 13, but like, now I find it kind of annoying? On the flip side, I love Umineko when they cry now, and that feels like actual adult media, but it’s usually under the same umbrella. Or if you need a more popular example, everything everywhere all at once.

It’s not even about themes discussed, because danganronpa talks about incest and murder, but the way Umineko handles both topics feels more adult to me. Not that Danganronpa is bad, it just puts things into perspective when looking at how other (imo) more mature media. You could read straight smut that’s less adult than everything everywhere all at once. I think it says something about maturity not being linear or something. A lot of people plateau when they hit 19. Like people with a lot of empathy seem to make the best art through character writing. Danganronpa handled several complex themes like DID horribly, and used it to play off joke. Umineko, took that concept and made you believe that each personality truly was as real, as important, and fleshed out as the next. I spent the same amount of time on both of these, but I left one feeling empty, and the other crying because “it’s like my life, in a way”.
