So Update:

Grisha arrived at the school grounds by the skeleton of a large dragon. He'd been severely injured because of a 3 week long travel and he has super bad luck so he was in pretty.

he walks around to the front and theres a lot of students being ushered in and Grisha is letting everyone go in before him until one guy tells him he's holding everyone off so he sits at the far back to let people sit with their friends

Meanwhile Pond (J's character) arrives at the school and immidiately says 'it looks just like in the book!' and gets snarked by some guy who then gets weirded out by how happy Pond is.

Pond sits next to Grisha and they strike up a conversation.

One of the deputy heads sees that Grisha has an arrow in his arm and rips it out and heals it

The head teacher Touss does a little welcome speach and Pond gets very exited and ends up being stared at by everyone in the assembly because Touss likes the enthusiasm

After the assembly they get their timetables and go to their dorms that are next to each other and they go to make food.

We do allergy tests and it turns out Pond is allergic to fish.

During this time some girl comes in called Bubblegum and she gives over a med kit angrily and Pond takes a full antihistamine and passes out

Grisha begs Bubblegum to help get Pond to his dorm for the night.

Grisha gets food and sleeps at Ponds bedside until morning and they eat cold porridge together.

They go to PE, do an obsticle course, get accupuncture and then do laps.

During this time a girl called Vii struggles to keep up and they run with her to make her feel better

Vii makes fish bones float and do a barbershop quartet dance

They get food and get ready for bed when they hear voices.

the guy who juged Pond is outside talking to a girl who spots them and stops the conversation and they both dissapear.

A teacher comes along at this time and they talk about what happened and the teacher goes off to talk to the guy about it - they find out his name is Laz

After this they go to bed.

Next day they have introductory magic class with the teacher from last night - Feld - who doesn't remember talking to them the night before

They get their magical focuses - spellbooks. Grisha's is blank and black. Pond's is patchwork and quite thick

also the guy who had a go at Grisha is in that class

they then go to practice magic and Grisha gets possessed by one of his spirits Elaith, a snooty elf who is increadibly egotistical and spends most of that time talking to Imps they've summoned.

Pond turns a hammunculous into a cat and then makes the hummunculous puke itself inside out

Then is Physical Magic Class which is to use magic in real life situations - this time they have to find the teacher - Hirsi

During this time Elaith and Pond (who knows something is up because Grisha looks different and is acting very different) get called over by Laz who tells them to meet up that night and he'll explain things

He also tells them where the teacher is - at the top of a really big tree

They get there and get an A+ and are dismissed for the day

They go to a room and Elaith tells them about the situation with Grisha but Grisha doesn't know and he says to not tell him!! Also warns Pond about Rashka - the spirit most protective of Grisha

Elaith goes to sleep

Pond goes and meets up with Liz and the lady from the night before is there, he explains they're a group of people that think the school is too controlling and that they want magic to grow naturally and there's a book that details the way magic should be

Pond brings Grisha breakfast becuase he thinks Pond will hate him because things always go bad when he doesn't remember

Pond says it's fine and that they're still friends

They go to art class and are told to draw a self portrait

Pond draws a book as he was raised in a library

Grisha is edgy and just puts a black splodge on the page

After they have a conversation about St George who slayed the Drogon in front of the art teacher who is just sat there confused

They go to deliver letters but it'll take a long time, so they borrow a speaking stone from one of the teachers and talk to their mothers (pond) and the church of Gleb (for Grisha)

So the one shot is going to be a 2 shot but hey ho. I'm stoked for next week when we do it again.

One Shot Today

With one of our players out in America and another working my fiancée is doing a one shot - they will every now and then - so here's the stuff I've had to prepare.

We'll be going to a magic school and the magic system is vaguely inspired by black clover

The character I'm using is called Grisha and he is my blorbo, I'm playing him in a game in the far future but I just really wanted to use him now.

His whole deal is that he thinks he's completely normal but was sent to the school by his church (I have been given full reign over the religion so behold our god: Gleb) and so he's doing his best but he kind of hates it

Also he's killed a priest, but didn't.

He does actually have magic (kinda) basically he gets possessed by ghosts who have spirits,

His 'main' ghost is called Radomir or Rashka who is super protective of him.

There are 4 others who will do other things but Grisha knows nothing about the ghosts, he just forgets a lot of things and wakes up in strange situations, in reality he's got 5 poltergeists who want to make sure in some capacity that he succeeds, and they will drag him kicking and screaming if they have to.

The other player today is J and all i know is that they saw someone turn a person into a cat and so they want to do the same thing.

Overall I'm super excited to play today, I think my fiancee is the best DM in the world (maybe I'm biased but o well) and so I can't wait to play.

Also I've never watched Black Clover, it's not my cup of tea.

Introduction!

Hello Hello!

Don't have much to put here now apart from a few facts about me

I will put a mature warning for my accout, our games can have some more mature themed and I'll mark posts accordingly but be warned now

I'm genderfluid so use any pronouns you want - I go by Pepper most of the time.

I am lucky enough to be both DM and player

Currently we only play 5th edition but I have plans to start playing Call of Cthulhu and Vampire: The Masquerade

I've been playing dnd for about 8 years now (since I was small baby of 12 years old)

Our group plays 3 campaigns, one run by me, one by one friend I'll call J for now (hiatuses), and one run by a friend I'll call L for now.

We play once a week if we can but I spend a lot of time worldbuilding.

Most of our games are homebrew but I adapt some of the module books to fit the games if I get interested enough.
