Why is it scarier to let friends and family read your book than complete strangers? Like, random people can judge me, but Mom? Nope.

Of course !
I just left Marc's memoirs in the dust for a while to write other ideas, but it's not discontinued or in hiatus, I promise !

Hiii, just letting you know that I think your headcanon is pretty accurate as I've also got autism and I dunno, Marc is showing strong signs of being on the spectrum 😊 it's nice
Hello again (assuming you're the person who sent me that other ask two days ago, which I answered only yesterday à la Spencer Reid) !
Not to boast, but I am an Aspie, with high potential, per say. I've loved the Spiez since I was a young child. At first, I loved Megan, because she is a girl, and I was a little girl myself, but as I matured, I connected more with Marc, as I like smart people who can teach us things through television (and for many other reasons).
There are small, subtle signs that Marc has Asperger, but I wanted to do a full demonstration in another post (I'm not doing things in half).
In the journal I wrote, there were small and subtle signs that Marc is an aspie to support my theory.
Like here :
"As for me ? The probabilities of having the diagnosis of… anything before becoming an official teenager is becoming closer and closer to zero as each day goes by… But I was certain I would stop having freckles by the time I turned eleven, and I was right. At the age of ten, my freckles slowly, but surely, went away, as if they were never here*. It was nice. I hated my freckles…"
Here too :
"At this instant, Tami announced that this week-end, she celebrated her VIP birthday, which promised a lot of noise music, loud crowds people, and shallowness. It was a guarantee."
And here :
"Ever since I was a little kid, I always had problems with high-pitched noise, and couldn't bear to be close to them, because they wouldn't get out of my head for the rest of the day."
"Now that I grew up and became a WOOHP agent, it became more bearable, but there are days and places where (and when) it doesn't work. And a place as echoey and closed as the boss’ office is one of these."
But th
But no one will blame me if I were to accidentally let some facts out, right ?
Oops !
Waves his arms when distressed.
Has restricted, but deep interests
Loves music
Wears blue (you'll understand later if you don't now)
Lack social abilities/has no friends

Hiii for an overarching villain for amazing spiez, what do you think of Sherry? She seems like the most obvious one since she's one of the few that actually impacts the narrative
Also it's kinda crazy she drained Mark's brain and his siblings were under reacting really badly
Hello to you too, anon ! Nice to see an Amazing Spiez fan !
Well, about Sherry being an overarching villain, I agree with you for various reasons. (Apologies for the future rambling)
I admit, the first time we see her is in Operation : WOOCSI (one of my favorite episodes, thought more could have been done to explore it, especially with Marc), and first thing she did (though off screen) was to manipulate Jerry to have an importance place in the WOOHP hierarchy so she can get rid of him easily; she was even ready to use a child for that (never forget that even if they're spies, the Clarks are still children) and drain his intellect down the rabbit hole. And the reason no one doubted her was not the fact she and Jerry are siblings (there was Terry, too), but the fact that she was a high placed person in world security.
The manipulation of a person, especially when the latter is/was in a vulnerable state was the common point of the three episodes she was in (to note Scary Jerry is split into two episodes, hence three episodes), so it can refer to a sociopathic personality with some psychopathic traits, because she lies and bend the truth to a Jerry who has his brain scrambled like an omelette (I mean, he thought Tami was his daughter !! Very disturbing...).
Sociopath are perfectly aware of what is good and bad, but they generally don't care and still do the bad thing anyway most of the time, and psychopaths don't have a thing for groups and loyalty, though Sherry is ready to accept shallow teamwork if that person and her share a common goal.
As for under reacting, I like to think, well... it's a cartoon.
Bad excuse, sorry 😅.
But seriously, I don't think the siblings were as under reactive as you may think. I think what happened is that they were overwhelmed with the mission without Marc around, because they were trying to solve a mission without the young genius around because he had been behaving like a know-it-all lately, and they find out that they can't solve complicated WOOHP codes, hack into CCTV, or find a quick solution to a problem without a miracle. And they didn't seem to find it totally weird that Marc was watching a cartoon he might have stopped watching ages ago (and maybe never watched, period) and ignoring his siblings' questions, trying to justify his actions as tiredness or snobbery.
(I can't help but see this as a small autistic regression, when you can't find the will to form words, can't understand the meaning, or just wants to ignore everyone around, like I do sometimes when I get tired)
(... I headcanon Marc having Asperger)
But when they find Marc hanging by some kind of brain draining machine, they go through some stages of grief. The first reaction they have is silent despair (in the French version, they made small exclamations of shock to add to the feeling) and maybe denial of the situation, before turning into anger when they realize that Sherry is not a joke, but a very real and very dangerous threat.
The third stage is bargaining. They attack to reverse what happened, but at the same time, they accept the fact that Marc is not himself for the moment and cannot help anyone in that state, but they still bring him along because he is their brother AND a part of the Spiez team. It is a proof of maturity, because instead of letting Marc without his biggest strength and taunt him, they're fighting hard to give it back to him, despite Marc's behavior earlier that day.
But one thing I'm sure everyone will agree about is the fight. It was too short and easy when the villainess is supposed to have a high IQ and the knowledge of seven martial arts. But at least, we can still see that despite not forming words, Marc still has good ideas... if formulated the right way.
(Also, not to boast, but I'll introduce a small character through a small, temporary canon divergence between episode 16 and 17 in my ao3 account. It is not how they should meet, but the original way will take a lot of time, so I thought "what the heck !")
Thank you for the ask, don't hesitate to ask if you have any other things to talk about !

What happens when Kieran, Joelle, or Caemond see each other before travelling together...
Whenever Joelle sees Kieran during the journey, she one, battles him, and then, whether she won or not, she treats him with some shopping (which doesn't please Kieran) while they're catching up on the Pokedex and the different Pokemon they caught or seen.
Whenever Caemond sees Kieran during his journey, he coldly proposes a battle, and if he sees that Kieran's Pokemon are not in state to engage themselves to a battle, he puts on his picnic table (a gift from his family in Unova before going to Kalos), makes sandwiches with some pofiteroles, and then they all start to dig in, Caemond asking their opinion about the sweets. As time goes by, Caemond becomes kinder, and not as cold as usual.
And whenever Joelle sees Caemond, or the other way around, it's immediately a war. They put on all their might, often resulting in Joelle's defeat or a tie at best. Caemond then subtly gives her a pofiterole for her and her Pokemon's efforts.
When Caemond sees Kieran and Joelle together, he proposes a battle with Kieran only, sensing that Joelle's Pokemon have no battling potential, often to be beaten or beating him. After the third or fourth time they see each other, Caemond proposes a double battle, with him against Joelle and Kieran. It's often a big spectacle, because no one knows for sure who will win. And after that, it's picnic and pofiterole time !

heard someone say archive of our own should install a "dislike" button and I thought I should say this: no, there's absolutely no need for archive of our own to install a "dislike" button.
why? because archive of our own isn't tiktok or youtube or twitter/x where users can monetize their content. archive of our own is a nonprofit site run by fans for fans, which means every content — every fanfic — you see on archive of our own was made out of pure love and passion from the artists/authors.
ao3 authors write because writing about these characters is their happiness and passion. they write for themselves, but they were generous enough to share with you their creations.
they're not "content creators" the way tiktokers or youtubers or instagram models are. they don't "make content" for views and engagements that can be monetized.
so no, you don't get to "grade their works" unless they specifically and directly ask you to.
you don't get to "say what you dislike about their works" unless they specifically and directly ask you to.
you don't get to "dislike" works that are not made specifically to please you in the first place. you're just a guest in someone's house, a house in which they let you in because they were kind, you don't get to roam around their house and say what you dislike about their furniture. you don't get to roam around their house and say you "dislike their house".
of course, you can have your opinion about the house its host invites you in. but if it's a negative one and you find yourself not liking the house, the polite things for you to do is excuse yourself and leave without telling them you dislike their house.
and just because you personally dislike the house doesn't mean the house is "ugly" either. the house you dislike could be a favorite, most luxurious place to many others.
my point is, don't be entitled by wanting the rights to voice your disapproval of things that you get to enjoy for free. don't be entitled by wanting the rights to voice your disapproval of things that were made out of love and passion — things the artists made for themselves for fun.
it makes you look like an entitled jerk with main character syndrome. the universe does not revolve around you.
now repeat after me: don't like don't read. no one forces you to continue reading a fic you don't like. quietly leave instead of being rude to authors who write for free because writing is their source of comfort.
people are so used to contents that were made because it's a trend / contents like tiktok that were made with the main purpose of reaching high engagement and making profits that they forget sometimes things can be made out of love and be made just for fun. sometimes things are supposed to just be for people to enjoy, and if some people don't enjoy them, then they can simply leave without being unnecessary unkind.

As someone eternally stuck in a tiny, dead, or dying fandom, I'd like to say this.
I love you people who post once a week.
I love you people who post once a month.
I love you analysis writers who pour content then stop up for so long I forgot why I followed you until you pop more out again.
I love you fanartists who hate their art.
I love you fanartists who love their art.
I love you fanartists who are neutral or apathetic to that art.
I love you people who have only posted once in this tag and never again.
I love you people who have never posted and only reblog.
I love you people who leave comments and help build the fandom's morale.
I love you snippet and drabble writers.
I love you self-shippers.
I love you people who only consume and share content about their niche fav that most of the fandom forgot existed or discarded as not worth their time and attention.
I love you shippers of the main pairs and shippers of the rare pairs.
I love you person who posted on the fandom tag after two years of silence.

For the ask game: 💖
💖 What is your primary writing goal for this year?
My primary goal is to write more, publish more, and get better. I don't care if I don't finish a story by 2026, but I want to have more stories in my AO3 account with each chapter having more than 1,000 words.
As for my other goals, I also want to improve my writing, because as an autistic person who doesn't interact well and much, writing conversations and body feelings is very, very difficult.
I also intend to show a character I've been having for more than a year. And my AUs, my Spiez AUs (especially Marc), and those involving Kieran...
So, yeah, a lot of objectives.
