This month is pretty packed and SHOCKING. SSR ROLLO? Well I'm actually not surprised that he'll get a card sooner or later because they hired Kamiya Hiroshi for him, but it's kinda disappointing that there's no GloMas part 2? Since we'll be having a completely new Halloween event based on Pinocchio. I hope his card isn't a FURNITURE CARD like Vil? 😭

When GloMas inevitably comes to EN, I hope they don't run Rollo yet wtf. That'll be 4 SSRs in like, 1 month because Twst EN is insane. I'd try to pull for him if he comes next year, but if it's this year it's gonna be an auto skip since Diaso is my priority. 🥲

On a side note, this probably means the featured non-NRC side characters in the Pinocchio event will have cards at some point! Does this mean... Does this mean there's a glimmer of hope for Crewel SSR??? 🛐 Or even Crowley SSR???

Sebek x reader

It burns. Your entire body aches, the pain spreading across your back like wildfire. Ravaging every inch of your flesh, sinking curved claws deep into your spine.

Your vision blurs, the wooden grains of the roof bending in with each other. They seem to move, shifting infinitely. Blinking, you try to focus your gaze.

A groan, before the blankets rustle. Your fingers meet a patch of fur, soft to the touch. Azure flames burn, their light flickering softly against your sheets.

Chuckling, you stroke him carefully.

Grim insisted on staying by your side. He played it off real casually, insisting that he felt like skipping class today. For all his bluster, Grim can’t really hide the concern in his eyes. He was honest to a fault.

Much like a certain classmate of yours…

A crash made you jump. Fists pounding at your door, each one louder then the last. There was a certain desperation to each knock, begging for an answer.

Planting your elbows into your bed, you managed to pull yourself upright. Blankets wrapped around your shoulders like a shawl, you stumble out of bed. Hands stretching outwards, relying on the walls to stabilise yourself. You hobbled to the front door, still delirious with fever.

A peep through the peephole revealed a mop of pastel green locks, styled back with copious amounts of hair gel. That was enough for you to identify your visitor.

Hands fumbling with the doorknob, you manage to coax the door open, coming face to face with your fellow classmate.

Sebek Zigvolt, in all his glory. He stood tall on your porch, panting softly. His cheeks were tinged red from exertion, eyes darting around your form. Scanning for any injuries, perhaps?

He was trained to be a soldier, after all. These things must be second nature. His mouth was open, about to deliver another of his lectures. Yet once he saw the state you were in, his tongue froze. Sebek stood there, gaping.

Much like a fish, you think hazily. Shoulders slumping, you lean onto the doorframe. It was the only way you could stay upright, at this point.

Not an action unnoticed. Hands find their way onto your arms. Wrapping you in the blanket, Sebek’s arms snake around your body. He heaves you up, cradling you close to his chest. Every heartbeat pounded into your skin. A steady beat that beat in sync with his chest.

Despite yourself, you lean in closer. Pressing your ear against his skin, feeling his pulse quicken under your touch. Unconsciously, your arms find their way around his neck, clinging on.

A grunt from Sebek, before he shakes his head.

“Honestly… to be in such a state. It’s typical of you humans.”

You manage a laugh, before a cough claws its way up your throat. Emerald eyes searching your face, his concern clear as day. His pace hastens, until you’re lowered back onto your bed.

His fingers wrap around your blankets, pulling them up gently. Tucking you in. His foot hooks onto a chair, Sebek drags it over. Taking a seat next to you.

A shaky smile pulling at your lips, you turn to him.

“You know, you don’t have to look after me. I’ll be fine, Sebek. You better go, you don’t want to catch a cold from this weak human,hm?”

Fingers thread through yours. Calloused hands, rough to the touch. The hands of violence and battle. Absentmindedly, your fingers trace over his palm. Rough patches of skin left after years of wielding swords. Years of perseverance, swing after swing.

One look in his eyes, and you could tell.

Sebek wasn’t leaving.

He clutches your hand firmly.

“I’m staying right here.

So… get better soon, okay?”

leona and jamil’s interactions in 6-67 and their growth

book 6 threw me in for a wringer with leona and jamil’s relationship, and it's funny because i never realized how similar they are until leona was pointing out all of jamil's negative thoughts about himself, as if he knew these thoughts like the back of his hand. tell me i'm not the only one seeing parallels between them:

jamil as a kid was told he was never going to be equal to kalim, because he's supposed to be kalim's servant; having to concede to him at every turn in private and in public.

leona as a kid hearing whispers about how he was so different from the bright falena, and how he wouldn't ever get the throne; all his achievements a mere shadow to anything falena did.

jamil who tried to create an elaborate scheme to pit everyone against kalim, and to subtly kick kalim from his "throne", only for it all to backfire, and for him to be so scorned by having everyone find out that he overblotted.

leona who created a plot in order to secretly reduce competition in the magift tournaments, and tried to severely injure malleus draconia to keep him from playing, only for his plot to be revealed, and for him to give up on trying, thus leading to his overblot.

and then when you think about it, leona probably sees the younger version himself in jamil. jamil’s lust for power is something that leona’s been through more than once, and he knows how being arrogant can lead someone down a bad path.

the rut that he was stuck in was the fact that he thought he was more suitable than falena. but was leona right for the throne ? or did he just want the throne to prove all the people who slighted him wrong ? and again, with magift, he knew that he didn't have the magic power to beat malleus, but he still wanted to win, so bad that he played dirty tricks.

sounds familiar ? it’s basically what jamil did to try and rip the housewarden seat from kalim. jamil thinks himself more suitable and worthy than kalim but is that because he IS more suitable, or is it because he wants to publicly be better than kalim at something for once ?

that’s why leona wants jamil to move on past that. he needs to throw away the arrogance that he’s the 'best', and that 'others just don’t see his brilliance', because…he has a long way to go. leona recognizes his potential. he learned the lesson that jamil is going through the hard way, that’s why he’s trying to help him.

jamil kept insisting that he could protect leona, because he’s convinced that he is more capable, relying on his perception of who he thought leona was, rather than acknowledging his prowess. leona knows that he’s more skillful, and he, in the end, succeeds in getting him to accept that.

when jamil can accept that he doesn’t know all that there is, and that he’s at the bottom of the pecking order…that’s exactly when he can start moving up. that’s when he can start working on his skills for the future rather than lamenting the fact that others don’t see his potential.

and that’s exactly the lesson that leona wants him to learn.

he reminds me of every filipino highschool boy i've ever known in my whole life combined. He plays basketball, and probably would play Valorant and Mobile Legends, his attitude reminds me of those guys too.

i have held this belief that he's filipino ever since i watched Shel_BB's translations of the twisted wonderland main story.

absolutely no character has given me as much filipino vibes as ace trappola does

the closest match is thoma but his filipino vibes are like- two levels down compared to ace since i only saw him as filipino after his EN voice actor was revealed to be filipino
