my condolences, james. i'm azriel, one of ash's mutuals - ash and i weren't really close friends, we only interacted with each other when the topic was writing; we both shared this passion, this part of ourselves, and i'm so sorry to hear this announcement. i still remember very clearly when they sent the first message in my inbox, telling me he thought i was cool on the july 26th 2022. we didn't interact often, but i considered him a good, genuine person and someone whom i respected deeply, someone with also wonderful ideas. i loved their fics and his writing style in general, everything they wrote was really comforting and it was clear it was written with great care. if there's anything i can do, let me know.

He mentioned you once. He really did admire you, he even showed me some of your works. Thank you so much for your kind words, it really makes everything feel a lot better. Hello, everyone. I'm so sorry about these news. I should introduce myself; I'm James, Ash's boyfriend. I guess ex-boyfriend now. Unfortunately, Ash lost the mental battles he was fighting and ended their life last night. He wanted me to thank you for your support, this blog really made him happy. He's told me a lot that he wishes he was able to write more, but he was suffering so much, he couldn't add more to the fire.

His works will still be available. But Ash will no longer be posting.

Thank you for making him happier. It means so much to me.

It'd been a long day - your first official day commanding a Fatui troop, facing the Fontaine army in a sickeningly brutal battle. You returned to your quarters after freshening up, thankful to let go of the bloodthirsty persona you'd put on all day just to make the troops take you seriously. You could've asked a certain Harbinger for help, yes, but you wanted to prove that you could command on your own. 

When you opened your door, you hadn't expected to see Childe reclining in the chair you had in the corner, a smirk on his face. Your most annoying, yet closest, companion, friends ever since you both joined the Fatui ranks. "I heard you won the battle."

"How did you get in?" You huffed, feigning annoyance. He produced a key from his pocket and dangled it in the air. 

"Us Harbingers know how to get extras."

"You're annoying." You said as you flopped down on the bed, facedown in the pillows.

"In all seriousness, though, I'm so proud of you." Those words made you sit back up, laughing as you thought it was a joke. "Hey! I'm serious! I'm so proud of you I could kiss you!"

"Archons, what's gotten into you?" You said with a smile. He was usually flirty, but this seemed like another step forward. "If you're serious, I'd gladly take you up on the offer."

He paused for a moment, weighing his options before standing up and sitting on the edge of your bed. You inched closer to him, unsure of what to do next. "Are we really about to do this-"

"Shut up and kiss me," he said almost breathlessly, putting on hand on the small of your lower back and the other on the back of your head. His lips met yours in a sickeningly sweet kiss, almost like cotton candy, the taste of lemon and honey left over on his tongue from the tea-drinking habit he'd picked up in Liyue. Separating after what felt like an eternity, he moved one of his hands to cup your cheek, rubbing his thumb against your skin. 

"That was... sur..surprisingly.. archons.. surprisingly good," you whispered, his smirk now softened. Tartaglia was just so beautiful, and you couldn't get enough of it. "Look at you, making me fumble over my words."

"Oh, sweetheart... it's far from the last time." He said with a chuckle, as he leaned in to kiss you again.

Hi! I wanted to send something since I saw your requests are open. How about a reader with powerful telekinesis abilities finding Chuuya right after he was betrayed by sheep and taking him in? Completely platonic relationship, of course, MC somehow ends up becoming a big sibling/parental figure to Chuuya and gives him a place to call home. But then things go wrong and MC almost dies because of the port mafia so Chuuya has no choice but to join to ensure their safety. They get to see each other multiple times over the years but around the time Dazai leaves the mafia, MC disappears. No one knows where they went, not even the mafia can find them, leaving Chuuya all alone. 😞

✧ you do come home though, explaining that you were in the hospital and convincing him you're fine

✧ the next time it happens, he sets out looking for you

✧ and finds you half-dead in an alleyway

✧ after that he joins the mafia to help protect you

✧ unfortunately, he rises through the ranks and is forced to move out but he still visits often

✧ one of those visits, though, you don't answer the door, you're not in the house, you're not answering your phone

✧ and you're not in the mafia records, either

✧ that's about when he develops his alcohol dependency 

✧ he swears he'll find you one day

"Xiao! Don't leave me here alon-"

"Foolish mortal. Know your place. You're hardly worthy of saying my name, let alone actually being with me."

"XIAO!"

You bolted upright in your bed, tears starting to flow down your cheeks. You covered your face with your hands as shaking sobs escaped your body, absolutely terrified of the nightmare you had just experienced. Although it was merely a dream, it felt like a sign of so much more.

"Xiao... don't leave me here," you whispered amongst your sobs, feeling his presence around you only moments after you had uttered his name.

"Why are you crying." It was more of a statement than a question, Xiao's confusion to human emotions nothing new. 

"It's..." you hesitated to tell him the real reason, worried about what he would say. "Just.. nightmares."

"About what."

"You... leaving me."

He stood there in shock for a moment, trying to process what you had just said. A dream so vile had dared cross your mind? Xiao would never think about leaving you, he loved you far too much for that to happen. He stood there awkwardly, unsure of what to do as your sobs returned to shake your body. Xiao reached out a hand and patted your head. "There.. shush your crying now. You're okay."

"I just..." another sob escaped your throat. "I can't.. even thinking about it.."

He recalled reading about couples comforting each other, and sat next to you on the bed, pulling your figure into him to lay on his lap as he calmly stroked your cheek and wiped away your tears. He prayed to the archons that this was the right thing to do, voice uncharacteristically soft as he reassured you. "It's okay to cry."

Your tears gradually stopped falling, and Xiao reached for your hand and pressed a gentle kiss to your wrist, touches feeling as light as the air he wielded. "Nobody can hurt you. Not with me here."
