I don't really know how I feel about lfts being finished, but I do know that I loved and still love all of it, even the sad parts 😌

It really is a masterpiece that I'll probably end up rereading quite a few times in the future ❤️

I know you're planning on taking a break for now, but I'm still excited for what you're going to cook up next, especially in regards to the raphinha/casado and pedri/gavi valentines prompts you were thinking about expanding on 🤭🤭🤭

To be honest, I also don't know how to feel about it being finished. If I wasn't working, I was adding, editing, working through the story. But it so pleases me to know that you enjoyed all of it, especially the sad and moody parts heh. I think it's hard to read through sadder fanfiction (and I'm sure I lost a few readers along the way because of that). Thank you for sticking through, and for possibly rereading!

I'm excited for future stories too. I said I'd take a break, but the muse is musing, and I have another Unaidri fic planned. And it's much more lighthearted. I'll definitely be working on those one shots as well (those take precedent). And, really strangely, I read a tweet that inspired me to write about Ferran Torres and Eric Garcia. So, don't count me out yet. :,)

Flick talks about Pedri in his last interview, and I can't help but feel the love from this man, as if he can , at every opportunity, mention how lucky he is to be Pedri's coach and how happy he is to have him as a player on his team. This boy was worth the trouble of coming all the way. :( 🤍

Flick may have Pedri's entire future planned out, the way he talks about him. He recognizes how lucky the team and he is to have him. I like to think Pedri brings stability in and off the pitch, so I'm sure Flick is happy about that too.

In other Flick-as-father type news, I saw a video of him yanking up Lamine's shorts. 😅 And smiling while doing so haha. I think he's very happy, for many reasons, to be at Barça. 🍃

I'm biased and already think they're the most powerful football ship in the world 🙂‍↕️ But, if I may ramble!

I do like the idea of them being in the same club, but I fear we'd lose exactly what makes them so endearing: the copious amounts of affection they have because of the distance/time apart.

I like that Pedri and Unai are off in their own little world when the Spain NT comes together. (He does this with a lot of Spain NT teammates actually!) and I don't know, that distance and then hanging out again just feels so much more lovely to me.

It's sort of like... yes, you have a good friend and you see them every day, but then there's that one person you see every other month and they're your friend too. And you wish you could see them every day, but there's a spark that only ignites when you and that distance friend can huddle off alone and spend the whole day catching up and joking around because you know it has to sustain you for a long while. And the goodbye is a little tough, because you don't know when you'll see them again, but you will, and you long for that day to arrive quickly.

"When they told us, Pepe Mel was there and he told us, 'a 16 year old boy is going to come and train, and they say he is very good.' 16 years old... Pedri walks through the door with his little bag, and you say, ‘There's no way'. He was a thin little guy. Tiny. I was sitting at the very end, and Chino was sitting here, and we had this free spot, and he just came and sat down. Of course, the boy feels like this [intimidated]. We were like, 'My goodness, this kid is cannon fodder. What are they doing? I don't understand what they do with these things. Well, there must be something there, let's see, poor kid, but I don't understand what's going on.’ We start training, and he starts to have the ball. I mean, you touched him like this and he fell (laughs). But of course, at one point, they do an exercise all about the ball, the possession. And he started in a large field, he left me speechless. I said, 'Where did you get this kid from?' It seemed like he had trained with us for six months. He would come, receive the ball, turn around, hit it with his left foot, and hook it, started playing with Jonathan Viera, he made passes between the lines. I mean, 'Where did this kid come from?'. You saw him with his little shirt flapping all over the place and his socks half bunched up. We said, 'It can't be, what a great player!'. It was incredible. His first training session, and you say, 'What a quality of a player. Incredible!' So when the training is over, Pepe asks us, and we say, 'No, this guy is a star. Where did this kid come from? He is incredible.' Of course, they had to give him some rice (laughs), some gofio. No, but at 16 years old, I was smaller than him, and he was a beast. That year with us, he played a lot of games, he left to play with the, I don't remember if it was the U17 or U20. I remember it was a spectacular season. And a year later, he went to Barça. After just a year. A boy coming from Las Palmas, who is 17 years old. I thought, 'Well, he's going to be another player in the squad.' But no, he was a starter, and he was a kid who performed. Man, he is a spectacle. I was speechless. What a boy, what a force, what a good player and also a wonderful person. He was just a normal guy. A boy who was the best, very focused, very quiet. He listened to you a lot. He is a phenomenon."
