Soft- proofing in Photoshop

Soft proofing is the technique which allows viewing the image in the computer how it will look when it will be printed in term of color and density. The monitor should be calibrated when doing this. This technique allows making changes like colour, saturation, exposure, contrast, etc when it will be sent for printing.

High Dynamic Range (HDR)

Research

HDR technique is used to reproduce a greater dynamic range of luminosity than is possible with standard digital imaging or photography technique. HDR is inspired by reality and when we are taking the picture we try to represent reality as good as only possible, but HDR technique is perfect for taking surreal images as well, which gives the impression like they will be painted, it is ideal effect for taking artistic photos. HDR is very useful to increase the brightness of the shadows without changing the exposure of the bright parts.

It is important to have multiple copies of the portfolio, have a good portfolio and understand the business, have essential contacts

What does it mean great portfolio? High-quality and focused on the theme with multiple copies

It is important knowing everyone in the agency and their current clients

Agency access - most agencies have the space for photographers for exhibitions

Money - the photographer can expect an advance of up 50%

Photo Agents - advantages - no need to talk about the money, someone with to talk about the work, the agent makes appointments and look after production, offer support and development, creation barrier between photographer and the client what is very important

Working without the agent look unprofessional. The photographer can keep all the money, but it can be seen as a negative when the photographer is not established

For this project, I have chosen explorer character because it is the closest with my personal passion apart of photography. The background images I took in Highlands. In the studio, I used three softboxes and beauty dish to create this kind of lighting. The image was to much lighten on one side so I burned it in Ps. 

I combined these two images using Select and mask in Ps. I increased the saturation to make the model more suitable with combination with the background. I used college camera Canon6D with lens 24-70mm

Brand Narrative

For this project, I have chosen the handmade jewelry from Indians Kuna. The pictures I made in Glasgow Green, near Clyde River with the mural background, but for the project, I chose only from the park.  I optimized images in Adobe Bridge, changing a little exposure and made lens correction. In Ps, I made the black and white conversion and add just colour for the jewelry. 

I wanted to make images with a model dressed in a long airy dress, but the weather did not allow for that.

I used my camera Nikond7100 with Sigma lens 30mm, with just natural light.
