AgQuip 2017 is over and now the follow-up on sales inquiry commences for many exhibitors. Following strong sales over the three field days, Tamworth-based Western Ranges Motorcycle sales manager, Rod Bruce (pictured), will commence delivery, inquiry follow-up and on-farm demonstrations of the full Honda range. Honda proudly supplied side-by-side 1000cc units for Fairfax Rural Events, organisers of the 45th Commonwealth Bank AgQuip.

A drink and a steak - legend at Commonwealth Bank AgQuip. To celebrate the 45th AgQuip we have limited edition stubby holders at the HQ stand for $10. For a steak, there are nine cattle breed societies on site, including the Devon Beef Cattle stand where you can see the heaviest bull at last week's Brisbane Royal Show (the Ecca) - this is Vix Krypton (from Coonabarabran) - he weighs 1330kg - the size of a small car! Commonwealth Bank AgQuip runs until 5pm today and 9am to 4pm tomorrow (Thursday) at Gunnedah, NSW.

Dam-building at the NSW Soil Conservation Service demonstration area at Commonwealth Bank AgQuip is proving popular, with a visit today from Channel 7's Better Homes and Gardens presenter, Johanna Griggs (left), and tomorrow from NSW Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Water, Niall Blair MLC. They are demonstrating the latest innovations in automated machine control to build a dam each day at the event, using a bulldozer and an excavator in tandem. Soil Conservation Service Senior Environmental Officer, Brett Hanly (pictured), says the machines follow a pre-programmed computer model, using GPS technology, to be very precise in moving dirt and directing water where it is needed. Dam building exhibitions run right across the day on Wednesday and Thursday at Commonwealth Bank AgQuip at Gunnedah. The event will be a major feature on the Better Homes and Gardens program in a few weeks time.

Less than ten years since they burst onto the Australian fencing scene, Brisbane-based Clipex are expanding into South America from a new base in Uruguay. This follows expansion into Europe and Ireland over the last few years, plus new Australian offices in Tamworth, Roma, Wagga and other centres. Clipex founder, Ashley Olsson, says they needed to balance this with an expansion of the Australian product range, meaning they even needed to expand their site at Commonwealth Bank AgQuip this year to show off the new products including this new sheep loading race capable of reaching multi-deck sheep trucks. See it all Tuesday to Thursday this week, just west of Gunnedah, NSW.

Channel 7's Sunrise will be broadcasting from Commonwealth Bank AgQuip tomorrow, with weather presenter Sam, who's no stranger to field days - here he is at Henty Machinery Field Days last year. They will also feature the autonomous tractor and the Croplands Weedit sprayer which has been set up by Dave Farmer (pictured). It will run over this cropland without a driver and is the first of its type available on the market in Australia. See it around 7.30 in the morning, plus Johanna Griggs from Channel 7's Better Homes and Gardens will also be recording stories for a future program, including having a run in the autonomous tractor - now that's a big garden!
