In this image, Seattle schoolteachers participating in the Gay Freedom Day parade through the Capitol Hill neighborhood hold a banner reading "Teachers with Pride Still Have to Hide," and wear masks to protest the discrimination they have felt. An estimated 10,000 people participated in the event, which is part of Seattle's annual Gay Pride Week.

Dear Media: The college demonstrations are anti-genocide, not "pro-Palestine." Israel's actions are horrifying no matter what population they're aimed at.
Writing that they're pro-Palestine brings the historic conflict into it and makes a good guys / bad guys narrative where none exists. The Israeli actions are freaking EVIL. There's no good and bad.
Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti died in the electric chair on August 23, 1927. They were accused of killing two men during an armed robbery.
The trial and subsequent appeals attracted enormous interest internationally, and generated vehement protests. Sacco and Vanzetti were considered to be victims of prejudice against immigrants, Italians, Catholics, and anarchists. John Dos Passos, Dorothy Parker, Edna St. Vincent Millay, George Bernard Shaw, and Albert Einstein were among those who wrote about the case or signed petitions.

November 3 / 4, 2023 - A small selection of the many rallies across the world in solidarity with Palestine these past two days, as hundreds of thousands took to the streets all over the world once again to denounce Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people.
It's 3am and that means I have to go to bed now, I'll be back when I wake to resume live updates. For now, here is an underreported event in New York, thousands of Pro-Palestinians rallied together today to march and show their solidarity.
