Here’s Aiden, my MC in a Dance Battle lmao. We got some flowers, a rat, and the loosely based biohazard symbol, woo! I’m sure I forgot a lot of details in the background but honestly, I don’t feel like fixing it right now. Maybe at a later date. I may also update it to add nail polish on him, I just haven’t decided what color(s) will look nice with him.

And then we have the background by itself.

Ooooooo, interesting idea. I wonder what Aiden could have for a Devilgram story.

Well, going with my own personal story for him-

Aiden would probably have the picture be him holding onto a hell hound puppy, looking all cutesy and it’d be titled. “Can we keep him?”

And the first part of the story would just simply be him walking back from RAD with Mammon and coming across the puppy and insisting on taking it to The House of Lamentation and taking care of it. I’d even imagine Mammon would be against it at first, knowing Lucifer won’t have any of it. But with Aiden begging him, even Mammon can’t deny it but insisting that it’d have to be a secret.

The second part would be the two sneaking the puppy into the house and trying to slip past the brothers. It goes well for awhile as they slip past each of the brothers. But sneaking with a wiggling puppy isn’t going to stay easy. The puppy starts making noises which then alerts the rest of the brothers to come in.

The third part then would have the brothers all reacting differently to the fact their is now a hell hound puppy in their home. Some all for keeping it and others insisting that it is not a good idea to have a creature known to cause fires in their home. But Aiden would continue to beg them, slowly winning them all over until he gets to keep the puppy!

If your MC were to have their own unique Devilgram story, what story would it be about? This can range from ties to past Obey Me events,some fun facts about them (hobbies, personality, etc.), an event that you would like to see from the game, anything goes.

1. Aiden is probably most like Satan. Big on books and learning about things. Cats are the best. Easy to anger; However he has no chance of hurting any of the brothers. Not like he’d want to.

2. Asmodeus. Aiden is anything but a flirt. He stumbles over his words whenever he tries. He’s just an awkward baby.

3. Mammon!

4. On his side, pajamas for sure. Probably sweats and a light top. If it gets too hot, some shorts. Aiden 100% cuddles with his blankets. However, he struggles cuddling up to others as he dislikes the extra heat.

5. Ahhh, I haven’t thought about this! I’m still trying to pick a song for him. For now I’ll say “Somewhere Only We Know” By Keane. For the reasoning, I view it as Aiden and his life before going to the Devildom. I assume he’d listen to the song whenever he feels sad and misses his brother.

6. Yes! His mother and father were Christian. However, Aiden didn’t care for it as he grew up. In fact, fully believing it was all fake. It never stopped him from researching it though, as it was interesting to him.

7. Very confused in the beginning since he didn’t believe they were real. But now he’s just come to accept it.

8. Aiden knows very little about his father since his father left early on. He dislikes his mother and her lack of care for him and his brother. Aiden only trusts his older brother, Abner.

9. He’s dead. He is just, dead. If not physically, he is very likely mentally dead. I really doubt he could go through the different layers and ever think he could make it.

10. YES! He hates not being able to defend himself and relying on the brothers to protect him. He hated when his own brother had to protect him. Aiden wishes he could learn magic and has looked into books and even seeking help from Solomon. He’s hesitant to tell the brothers about this though.

11. Ahahaha Lucifer: Scary man is scary. Aiden was terrified to see Mr. Tall Dark and Handsome. Especially since Lucifer always seemed to look mad about something. Even more scary after learning they were demons. Mammon: Also scary man. It never helped with the threats of eating poor Aiden. Leviathan: Not scary and just seemed to be... Human? Aiden was fairly relieved meeting Levi and learning about his Otaku lifestyle. Satan: Intimidating but not near as scary as Mammon and Lucifer. Aiden just saw Satan as someone who was well put together. Asmodeus: Hnnnnn, Aiden doesn’t tend to like those extremely flirty people. So he just chalked Asmo up as one of the gossip high school girls. Beelzebub: With one of the first mentions being that Beel would eat him, Aiden was hesitant around Beelzebub. Who wouldn’t be with the threat of being eaten though! Belphegor: Aiden wasn’t too sure about Belphie. He was hesitant to believe anything the youngest said. But he wasn’t going to deny helping.

12. Woo! Simeon: A sweetheart! Aiden was quick to grow attached to Simeon, feeling comfortable around the angel and his kind gestures. Luke: Defensive. Aiden didn’t like that everyone bullied Luke by calling him a Chihuahua. Instead, Aiden would actively be as nice as possible to Luke. Solomon: Originally, Aiden felt confident with Solomon as he was another human. But learning that Solomon also had magic, Aiden became both hesitant and envious.

13. Uhhhhhhhhhhh. I don’t know if there’s really a big skill that would surprise the brothers much. Maybe his stupidity and finding himself in danger at every corner he turns.

14. Yep! Not the best hiding spot but none of the brothers seem to bother looking there. He hides his prized possessions under his bed in a box.

15. His necklace is the most important item to him as he calls it his good luck charm.

16. Yes, he is not a coward! So he tells himself. He’ll grimace at some of the more strange things but he refuses to not eat food that’s given to him. Even if it’s strange or something he doesn’t like.

17. He’s most intrigued by the animals of the Devildom as many of them he thought were just part of myths.

18. Aiden misses his brother the most.

19. Aiden tries to spend time with all of the brothers but he does tend to spend most of his time with Mammon. Whether it’s by his own choice or because of the second oldest constant begging, he’ll never know. But he just can’t seem to say no. As for activities, just sitting and watching movies and laughing at the ridiculously long titles is a great way to pass the time.

20. Originally, Aiden would where the RAD uniform as professionally as he could. However, as time goes on he starts to loosen up and will often be seen rushing out the door after waking up late still pulling on the jacket haphazardly. Of course, Asmo will insist on fixing the outfit while at school.

If the brothers each represent a deadly sin, are there angels for each of the seven virtues? Is Simeon one of them?

Obey Me: Seven Heavenly Virtues

So, this is gonna be half theory, and half headcanon, you've been warned! 👀

Much like the Seven Deadly Sins, the Seven Heavenly Virtues have undergone many iterations throughout the centuries.

Unlike the sins however, there are still two versions of the seven virtues, and the one often offered as opposites to the seven deadly sins isn't always the one people necessarily mean.

Plato described four cardinal virtues back in around 375 BC as temperance, fortitude, prudence, and justice.

The number four was seen as The Number of the age in many cultures, corresponding to the number of seasons, causes, temperaments, primary lunar phases, classical elements, etc etc. To this day, humans still gravitate towards grouping things by four, including many personality tests made up of four signifiers.

A little later, Aristotle posited nine virtues as justice, courage, temperance, magnificence, magnanimity, liberality, gentleness, prudence, and wisdom. He went on to bump the list up to eighteen because the man could not be stopped.

The Wisdom of Solomon declared the same as Plato with the (unsurprising) addition of wisdom, but the four cardinal virtues are the ones that have stuck.

The other three are the theological virtues of christian doctrine - Faith, Hope, and Charity - as described in Corinthians back in the first century AD.

Note - these are often listed as Faith, Hope, and Love, which may seem like a distinction yet absolutely isn't. This is theological Charity, a divinely infused virtue, in which the Charity in question is in fact devoting oneself and one's love to god.

(Shout out to Red Dwarf fans who know the greatest of these is, of course, Hop.)

Early medieval authors were very embroiled in the moral philosophy of virtues, which meant the virtues were not placed in direct opposition to the seven deadly sins as that simply did not make sense.

(The opposite to Pride for example is humility, not Prudence, and the opposite to Envy is kindness, not Justice.)

Later medieval authors did attempt to label them as opposites, and eventually fell back upon using the far more flexible list of contrary virtues as more accurate opposites.

These virtues are: Humility (vs Pride); Charity (vs Greed); Kindness (vs Envy); Patience (vs Wrath); Chastity (vs Lust); Abstinence/Temperance (vs Gluttony); and Diligence (vs Sloth).

This list was all the rage from the earliest Middle Ages, and why the concept of Seven Virtues became so popular.

And this Charity does relate to charitable acts towards fellow man, without demanding self-sacrifice but still warning of avarice.

Each of these virtues also has an angel assigned to it: Raphael (Humility); Michael (Charity); Ramiel (Kindness); Azriel (Patience); Uriel (Chastity), Cassiel (Abstinence/Temperance); and Gabriel (Diligence).

Bear in mind that only Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, and Uriel are agreed upon as they are the most named angels, while the other three vary from source to source (and often include fallen angels). Eg Saraqael, Raguel, Selaphiel/Sealtiel, Jegudiel, Barachiel etc. Ramiel is also sometimes said to be the angel of hope.

Michael is god's herald of good news. Raphael is a healer. Uriel is an instructor, who warns Noah of the Flood. And Gabriel is a messenger, who was once named female as oft as male, and is sometimes said to have had 140 pairs of wings.

That's traditionally speaking. But what of Obey Me?

We know very little about the demon brothers' time in the Celestial Realm, other than that Lucifer was beautiful and hardly humble, Belphie loved humans as did Lilith, and Lucifer at least was a seraph with six wings.

However, Lucifer's attitude towards Diavolo when he visits the Devildom as an Archangel is perhaps not the best reflection of his angelic role. In his eyes he had descended amongst sinful beasts, monsters far from being his equal. His arrogance in the face of Diavolo's kindness does not necessarily tell us how Lucifer acted within the Celestial Realm - nor do we know how close he was at that point to rebelling.

So it could be theorised, that the seven brothers, now the Avatars of the Seven Deadly Sins, were perhaps previously the Angels of the Seven Heavenly Virtues.

In which case Lucifer would have been the angel of Humility, Mammon the angel of Charity, Levi the angel of Kindness, Asmo the angel of Charity, Beel the angel of Abstinence/Temperance, and Belphie the angel of Diligence.

In this scenario, Satan would have been borne from Lucifer's Patience turning to Wrath.

We do see some streaks of Lucifer's Humility still in his service to Diavolo, his embarrassment when his brothers infringe upon Diavolo and Barbatos' hospitality, and in the rare soft moments he shows MC.

We certainly see evidence of Mammon's Charity, that he works hard to save for a gift for MC, that much of his money is given to help others, and that he has bought gifts for his brothers too.

Levi's Kindness can be found if MC perseveres through his shell of self-loathing, and demonstrates his purest wish - to have one true friend.

We could be forgiven for thinking Satan is in fact the embodiment of Patience, as he is the least demanding of MC, and it does take him a long time to lose his temper - other than with Lucifer, the creator of his Wrath.

Asmo has perhaps long abandoned any pretence at Chastity, but for a sensualist libertine his tastes do run on the rather tame side - bubble baths over orgies, Devilgram clicks over drugs, flirty banter over flirty action 👀

Beel arguably suffers the most for his sin, constantly needing to eat because he feels hungry, rather than always because he actually wants to eat. And if he doesn't, he becomes a ravenous beast out of control. If Abstinence/Temperance had been his virtue, his torment is all the harsher, though it should be noted that Beel does nothing else in excess, and indeed welcomes MC to enjoy his food with him.

At first glance, Belphie has long lost any sign of Diligence, his sin stealing both his time and energy. But he is also capable of being the most focused brother, maintaining a grudge against humanity for centuries, easily the best dancer which implies great practise, and pursuing goals when he feels he is close to the end even if his brothers give up.

Intriguingly enough, there is an Eighth Deadly Sin and a corresponding Eighth Heavenly Virtue: Despair and Hope.

There are many contenders for which angel could be Hope, but if we follow my headcanon that the Obey Me brothers were once the Angels of Virtue it perhaps suggests that this could have been Lilith's role.

It was her love and optimism that bound the brothers together, that had them all care greatly for her. Her hope that led her to follow her heart and save her beloved, despite the awful cost. And the extinguishing of her hope and light and life that plunged the brothers into a full rebellion against the Heavenly Host they had previously served.

Lilith doesn't survive in her fallen angel form to become a demon, rather she is reborn as a human, her previous status forever stuck between heaven and hell, falling yet never fallen.

But the despair is felt by every brother, shared amongst them for different reasons and one terrible uniting grief. Her tomb lies empty, and her brothers remain empty too, filled only with despair.

When MC is able to reveal to them that Lilith lived and loved, that she had the full life she wanted, that her spirit has now passed on to the Celestial Realm, that MC themself is a distant descendent, that despair, thousands of years old, is dispelled in an instant.

Instead, hope and love is restored, in a new form.

Their human.

Hello, Obey Me Fandom!

My name is Aiden and I’m new to the Shall We Date? Obey Me! fandom here on tumblr! In general I am new to the fandom, lol. But I hope that I can meet people here and possibly make friends.

I have a few things planned for this tumblr account. I have some fan fictions I would like to write and already have in the works that I would love to link from ao3. As well as possibly adding in some fan art! Though I’m not too confident in drawing humans, I do need practice and this is a perfect opportunity!

But one of the biggest things I’m here for, as this is one of the main things I’m here for on tumblr anymore- Role play! If anyone around here is interested in role play, whether it be with an MC or one of the boys, I’m down! Shoot me a message after reading through my Limits page.
