Today I spoke to my professor about ancient novels, and she agreed with me on my points, even though I thought I was just confused. It felt good. I've been translating some Demosthenes and Plato, and it feels like I'm getting more comfortable.

I think I might ask for a Liddell and Scott for my birthday this year.

i gave a break for a couple of days because of my period and sickness,but since i feel myself getting better again, let’s go!

perfectionism’s been taking over every part of my life step by step since i feel like i’m at my grown age now, it gives me the feeling that i should think from 64 angles before posting a simple entry here…so this is me trying to get over it. do i really need to get over it? that i don’t know.

but recently i’ve been feeling a lot more in my senses, my brain fog is -after all the years- slowly clearing up, which helped me remembering my style of anything and the things that make me happy

sooo this is what i’ll be doing this year. small stuff that make me happy during the my studies, as well as making some money, friends and taking care of myself.

I have 2 assignments to complete today, I‘m working with a very little motivation that’s left from the week. Yesterday I visited a bookstore after a long time :) that‘s saving my week right now. I will be having pomodoros for 3 hours but I will be using it for my assignments first, if i have time I will also study math.

long term study tips

a lot of study tip posts that exist have a weird mix of short term and long term tips and that weirds me out, so here are some long term study tips (aka pavlov-ing yourself):

light the same scent of candle every day when you study- eventually the smell of the candle will put you in a study mood

drink the same kind of drink (I always drink green tea) and you will start to associate the process of getting the drink/the smell/the taste with studying

get into a habit of studying for a few minutes every night. Even if you are not doing much, it's something.

play the same playlist whenever you study- hearing "reflections" by Toshifumi Hinata instantly puts me into the study mood

Routines routines routines: the only reason I passed some of my classes last year was because I had routines in place for doing my work (they are falling apart this year, and I'm struggling.)
