I've been playing Usagi Shima recently and feel inspired to try to paint something similar... but with people's dogs and cats instead

Here's the chart i'll be using to calculate sizes. There's a lot of variation in animal sizes but for this piece's purpose i've simplified it to Small -> Medium -> Large, and the sizes aren't 1:1 to irl either just so i don't go insane with things like chihuahuas 😪

For now i'll start small with my and my friends' pets but if i like the result i will open submissions for other people online to offer their pets to be added!! Just for fun, no profit etc. I love little community quests like that

I’m on mobile so it’s hard for me to search your blog to see if it’s been asked before, but what drawing tablet are you using? I’ve been wanting to get back into digital art, when I was younger I had an old Wacom Bamboo tablet, I’m not sure what people are using these days

I'm still using my first drawing tablet lmao 😌 Wacom Bamboo Pen & Touch from 2012 or so, the model that has lime green accents

That thing seems immortal and has always worked great so i definitely recommend it, though it may have been discontinued.... otherwise i too have no idea what people are using nowadays

Hi thank you!! I've yet to edit any newer screen recordings but here's an older ask with a video process

Pretty much the same for nearly everything i do unless it's a different style (lined / chibi / pixel) or it's human art (it involves a lot more hesitance and tears and desperation)

Sometimes i see people asking things / addressing me directly in my notes but i don't really know what the etiquette is for replying to things like that in Tumblr (it's the first time i use this platform and i'm used to things like Instagram)

I imagine the majority of these are just people thinking out loud and not wanting to engage further, which is 100% alright, but if anyone really means to speak to me and wants a reply, you can @ me in the post or send the same thing in my ask box

I can't guarantee i'll always have anon asks available, or that my mentions will be open, because i do get tired of bots and disable things as they are exploited by them, but generally there's always a way to get in touch with me and i do love yapping with actual humans 😪

obsessed w your new morph of pothos "Singular Variegated Stripe". king is doing the bare minimum to be acknowledged and praised. pothos r literally sassy plants and they for SURE hold grudges. how sunny of a window do u have him at?? my golden is thriving near northwest right noww light is like the most correlated with variegation

Honestly at this point i don't even think it's meant to grow variegation?? I don't know which type of pothos it is because it was a gift, but each time it tries to do something, it's this pathetic, tiny ass squiggle on a random leaf 😭 not even bigger than a coin, not solid color, as if someone grabbed a pencil and started scribbling randomly. The Singular Variegated Stripe is the most it's ever done in its entire life lmfao

Mine is also facing northwest and i'd say it's loving the light it gets! The new leaves are 2-3 times bigger than the ones it came with, plus the plant in general is wayyy more sturdy

Its variegation doesn't concern me as long as it's healthy (which seems to be! and last week i changed it to a bigger pot so i'm expecting more Evil shenanigans from it), but thanks a lot for the advice!!
